Location: Ruined City of Hr'Tal
Interesting Figure: [member="Miles Varden"]
Coming Into Play: [member="Corrin Tal'verda"]

Zombies? Spores? This was getting worse and worse by the minute. And it seems the male human was unsure how long he had been detained here. Well, to his credit he seemed to possess more knowledge than she did on these matters. Perhaps going to the tower would be a fatal mistake but given her options, it seemed more reasonable than standing out here in the open waiting for one of those things to discover her. She would not normally align herself with a stranger, trust issues and all, but what choice did she have. He wanted to get out, she wanted to get out. As Tag would always say, two heads were better than one. Unless of course those two heads belonged to an abomination that wanted to make a meal of you. To the tower she would go.

"So Miles, tell me, before your life was turned upside down and the galaxy decided to dump you here, what did you do for a living," she asked keeping her voice as quiet as possible. Without the Force to detect any deceit on his part, she would grant him the benefit of accepting his answer as truth. She had enough enemies in their galaxy, Jedi and Sith alike, at the moment and did not want to add another one to that list. Then she wondered if he was a bounty hunter, which could be bad. A certain Hutt had grown to despise her and placed a bounty on her head. Which to her it was all a misunderstanding but Hutts, they never really were known for their intelligence. Oversized slugs.

For one brief moment she decided to try and conceal her lightsaber but if this man had seen her arrive before she made a fool of herself by yelling, then it would only make him suspicious of her. Clearly he already see her weapon. The only question now was, what did he think she was? Sith? Jedi? If the question came up, honesty was the best policy. At least that what Tag always kept reminding her. "Do you get the feeling we are being watched?"

Sighing deeply and closing his eyes Besk turns, hearing someone say "... we don't belong here, and I'd like to think I'm not the only one that has people he'd like to get back to."

Smiling to no one in particular. he says, " At the very least we need to check out that pyre thing. There might be clues to exactly where we are."

As she awoke she groaned and stood up looking upon the vast wasteland with a growl. Somebody had brought here to hell it seemed but they had not realized their mistake. For she had been through hell before and she would not remain here. It did not take her long to find a rift and rush through it popping up on alderaan Growling she felt an unrelenting rage in her and she marched to a ship being worked on by a man, she did not hesitate smashing his skull against the hull killing him before stealing the ship and flying off. She had no intention of staying here either.

“Long time no see, huh?” said a familiar female voice. His twin! Sage whirled around to face his half-Chiss sibling and practically knocked her over with his enthusiastic embrace. “Can you sense anything? With the Force?” he asked Sayl, eyes tinged with panic. The doleful look on her face said everything. She was as barren of the Force as he.

As Sage turned back to view his surroundings, he spotted a few more people he knew, all strangely from different walks of life. The situation had all the hallmarks of a bad dream. There was Zenva Vrotoa, the Zabrak bounty hunter who had hunted him down and then bargained with his brother for his release. The red skinned woman had noticed his black robes and had rightfully assumed him to be Sith, but she hadn’t recognized him yet. He reckoned that Zenva wouldn’t be happy to see him as he had recently stood her up on a date, but in a place like this, that would be the least of his problems. A few feet away stood Mistress Malkite, a woman that Sage hoped he’d never see again as long as he lived. In fact, just the sight of the tall blonde made him want to take off like a skittish colt. Ok, Sage wake up now, you’re dreaming.

“Spast, it’s creepy here,” he said to his sister, as he tried to flag down Zenva, while keeping a watchful eye on Malkite.

There was another figure off in the distance. just turning a corner down the canyon, another sight for sore eyes, just like his sister. His boyfriend, Baelfire Lenasin had joined him in whatever ghastly place they found themselves in, whether it was real or imagined.

Sorry if I forgot anyone, there was quite a bit to react to. :)

"Ah you wound me QUeen," he responded, placing a hand over his heart by smiling as he watched his wife lose herself in this place.

He didn't like it. Too pretty compared to everything around here.

At the woman's exclamation he stepped forwards to grab her wrist. "Don't," the blond warned her. "Think - this is too convenient. Think of our surroundings and how this fits in."

She blinked, hand held by her husband just one inch from the beautiful fruit. He was right. Her wrist went limp and she slowly pulled it away.

"O-oh..." her voice was shaky, "I didn't think..."

That was the problem here. She didn't think. Not at all. If not for keter, who knew what could have happened.

Maybe it was a bit hard for Token, maybe she was still a bit immature. But... really, things were well for the past few years. And now... this. What was she supposed to do?

At least Falcon here seemed to have family as well. Everyone HAD family, she needed to remember, some just chose to deal with theirs, or expand theirs. The blonde wanted to get out of here. And get back home. Where things felt right. Looking at the group, she nodded. “Yeah, we should get out of here.” She bit her lip. “Do you think everyone is alive thats not... here?”

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Vassara let the droids back out from her palm and they flew straight off into the south, their repulsors buzzing adding to the chaotic noises. The group was full now and they moved swiftly, like a swollen blob of flesh through hell. As the rain pounded down and the ghouls around them wandered Vassara kept her eyes open.

Occasionally one would come to close and she would unleash a slug from her shotgun into it, blasting the corpses away in a spray of crimson ichor. Blood....blood everywhere. Her sense were being driven mad by the constant bombardment of the wailing souls. Their voices still cried in her ears and her trigger finger grew twitchier by the second.

There was no mercy here... no respite.

"You alright?" Silas asked, touching her arm.

Her first instinct was to blast him away before she recovered and simply nodded. A quick glance at her datapad showed the droids were pushing out farther encountering more life forms.

"Not much of a read, could be a few live ones ahead though." She commented idly to the group. Her trembling hands racked the shotgun, locking a new shell in the breech....

Blood wastes

More survivors – when and why did she start think of them as survivors anyway? – arrived at the scene. While not a crowd, it became apparent this group did not roam this place aimlessly like the hundreds, if not thousands of beings around. Elizie tried to follow their movements, but ultimately failed to learn anything out of it; some cried for their family members, others tried to find something among the mass of people, many simply moved with the crowd. Only after hearing what the woman with the droid said, Elizie gave her a disapproving stare with her milky white eyes. Things? She called lost, disoriented and confused sentient beings “things”? The Padawan did not comment on it, but she refused to see the masses of people as such, as “things”.

Turning her attention back to the Sith as he started giving orders and also settling the direction of the group. Just as he said, Elizie went to the Miraluka and carefully took her arm into her hand. “Please be careful,” she said gently, “Do not rush. Let me and the Sith guide you.” With that, the white-haired Padawan turned towards the newcomers, the other group, her eyes coolly observing them. Perhaps one of them, anyone, had a better idea of what was going on. “Does any of you know what happened? How did we get here and how to get out?” she asked, loudly enough to ensure all in the vicinity heard her voice that started to regain its usual firmness, sounding nothing like the scared girl she was when she woke up in this hellhole. In reality, she didn't really expect anyone to give a good answer. Sith, Jedi, civilians; all clueless.

Tre train of people started to move, so she followed, once again being the last link as another was within her responsibility. Whenever a blood puddle or a bump appeared in their way, the Arkanian warned the young woman with no sight. It was unusual, to help a Sith, but a Jedi served others and this was no exception; the Sith Acolyte needed her help and was completely harmless without the Force. Or so the Padawan believed.

Pappy had already been walking too long, and the encounter with the crazed lunatic that populated this crimson land weren't exactly comforting. While his initial strikes had been more than effective, it seemed that FLARE rounds had more of an effect against these unarmored organic targets better than the armor-eating acidic ammunition that he had stocked up on. Besides whatever magazines were clipped to his tactical straps or stowed away in his backpack, Marcus was really only carrying just minimal stocks of rations.

"We getting any closer to that brother-boy?" His impatient voice rang out once again, safely muted to the outside world and only heard by his artificial companion.

"Actually, yeah." Miranda's image flashed on his HUD, highlighting Kelghast's signature, "Just keep in mind that asking that question more than once doesn't really help things. Especially not when you can see the screen yourself." A light smile touched her lips.

"Sorry. Just trying to keep my mind off of those things." He shook his head and adjusted his grip on the CZ-836, "Perhaps our new friend out in the distance might know what they are."

Enhanced visual optics zoomed in to clarify the image of an armored man moving towards him before the blood-red horizon. Armored, tall, and carrying a rifle.

Dreadguard.

Forced to allow herself to be lead around she groaned in annoyance but followed as best she could while being lead. Tucking the saber away she felt fully humiliated. Each step careful and cautious. "I do not know one moment I was with my Master next I was here and could see nothing. Does anybody know where we ever are?" She asked in frustration.

With his custom AR-70 resting in his hands, it came apparent that Apoc was one of the few with a ranged weapon. The others seemed to be Jedi and Sith, who preferred to use lightsabres. A weapon that didn't feel like it would be too effective in an environment like this, whatever this was. Deciding that the groups weakness was behind them, the masked man came to the conclusion that he should take the position at the rear of the group, and defend against anyone or anything that tried to flank them.

Even without speaking, he would make it clear to [member="Elizie Adasca"] that he intended to be the last in the ever growing line.

Maybe he was just being paranoid. But that was what he was like. This didn't add up. "It's alright. It's been a long...uh...day, night? Does time even seem to pass around here?" the blond asked, glancing around. He'd been walking for hours, his internal clock told him so. "Do you feel tired at all? Hungry? Thirsty?"

He looked to the group. "Alright we can do introductions later, this place feels like a maze a changing one. There has to be a trick or a pattern something that can lead us out. I have been trying to retrace my steps but it keeps switching me to dead ends. We need a way to cut through this stuff." The soldier spoke confident in what he had to get done but he lacked a really good fast cutting tool.

Very, very slowly Jacen turned about. He kept his hands visible, but out halfway to the sides. Far better to hands within reach of your belt than behind your head. A small blaster and his saber were visible on his belt, along witha comm unit.

A curvaceous Nautolan – probably a female – with grey skin was keeping a pair of blaster pistols levelled his way. Fething brilliant!

Days of walking, apparently, up and down the same path. He finally found another sentient and they seemed intent on robbing him. At least his luck seemed to function, even if the Force didn’t.

“Ho there!” he called out. “No need to do anything rash now!”

Perhaps she'd look past him into the infinite horizon, she’d probably forget he was even here after a few moments of that.

EVENT

The Paradigm Rift Opens

Netherworld Location: Oasis
Galaxy Location: Coruscant - Lower Levels

A thousand hands pierce the surface tension of the Oasis, slowly. They begin grasping for the air. Aside from the churning of the water, the air is silent surrounding the Oasis of the Netherworld.

They reach for anything they can grab, but once they do - a rock, the sand, the soil surrounding the water - the hands pass through.

They are clearly ethereal in nature. Spiritual entities risen from the depths of these once peaceful waters.

Green arcs of energy spiral through the air between the hands, and the skies above the Oasis - located in the Blood Waste - darken even further.

A thoughtful person might look upon this perversion of the Oasis and think there was a message being conveyed... an obvious one.

Nothing is untouchable.

He swore this was the most confusing alliance of peoples he'd ever seen. A jumpy spacer who seemed to shrink at the Mandalorian's grasp out of paranoia. Everyone felt so unsafe here, yet Silas had failed to encounter anything hostile excluding the dar'jetti that he found himself now allied with. Preliat would've started trying to kill them, Preliat would've done things differently. Only problem is he wasn't Preliat, he was Silas, and he'd have to do it his own way. The non-force users found themselves to simply playing lookout, which didn't settle well with the warrior, no not at all. He cast his glance over to [member="Apoc"], another soldier type and found himself with no indication of who he was, Beskar'gam was distinctive at least, but this man seemed like an enigma to Silas. Perhaps that was the intention.

Maria saw the child charging her and without hesitation raised the pole in order to stop the girl in her tracks with it. "Im not your mother, im... "She thought for a moment before speaking. "Someone else... Fox boy, can you grab your child before it gets sent out of here, because the moment it touches me... poof." She made a motion with her free hand as if to emphasize the fact that her touching Maria would not end well for the child as it needed to be with its parents.

She sighed, sinking to her knees in the sand. It felt hopeless. She couldn't even eat here. She didn't feel hungry though, so she supposed that was a plus. Actually... Why wasn't he hungry? He raised a good point.

"Not hungry. Not thirsty. Not tired. Just really bored..."

She leaned, back against the tree, patting the ground next to her. If they weren't getting tired or hungry, then thy had all the time in the world, as far as she was concerned.

...Then everything changed and she quickly realized that was no longer true. She jumped to her feet, looking in at the center of the Oasis. They were still just on the outskirts, but she could see quite clearly that something had happened.

"What is that?" she asked breathlessly, reaching to cling to her husbands arm.

Vulpesen let out a small laugh adn picked up Daella. "Fox boy... Your daughter calls me fox brain. Guess its genetic." He grinned and started to follow Daeda's directions towards Alexandra. He wasn't sure where she was exactly, but he had wolves for that. Speaking through Ace and Daeda, he would send a feeling easily interpreted as, "Are you okay?"
