With another engagement seeing his previous armor pattern brought to the point of near disrepair, Irveric Tavlar commissioned a new pattern by the New Imperial Stormtrooper and Death Corps combined engineering sections. Despite his position as head of state and supreme commander of the New Imperial Order the aesthetic principles of the armor emulated the standard Stormtrooper Corps equipment, opting for more pragmatic aesthetic principles that aligned the Sovereign Imperator closely with the majority of the armed forces under his command.
Compounding on Tavlar's fascination with the Mandalorian creed, many design principles from the Mandalorian Beskar'gam were implemented. Beginning with the use of Beskar steel within the armor composite and many of the auxiliary gadgets and add-ons which made the Mandalorian warriors so dangerous in combat with both Jedi and mundane opponents. The next armor to be looked over in the design and development process was the Powersuits in use by the Thyrsian Sun Guard, finding particular use in licensed samples of the Hydrostatic Thermal Gel which negated many of the downsides of traditional thermal impact gels.
Alongside New Imperial design projects which took place with the close partners in the Technoid Manufactorum and ApexTech, the Enigma-pattern Commando Armor was finally developed was one of the most advanced and robust pieces of armor technology accessible within the New Imperial Order's manifest, even if only by the Sovereign Imperator.
