[ENDGAME] War in Heaven

Location: Breakthrough-class Battlecruiser Zenith of Liberty, entering the Fondor System
Objective: Get in the Fight

A quartet of light corvettes surged into realspace in a loose diamond formation, with each corvette hundreds of kilometers apart from the other. Moments later, the space between the corvettes lit up with brilliant flashes of cronau radiation as the rest of the battlegroup reverted into realspace. The massive hull of the Zenith of Liberty plowed into realspace, with a pair of her sisterships on either side. On the ship's bridge, Admiral Bandor Kre'fey's fur rippled in undulating waves. Can this really be true? The bothan's eyes surveyed the area, noting that a truly massive number of disparate enemies had appeared to strike at Fondor and her valuable shipyards. The movement of his fur settled down as he accepted that they indeed had stumbled upon a massive enemy sortie; one that could doom the yards and well send Fondor into the stone age if they so desired. The bothan cast his eyes on a black-haired man who stood by the bridge viewport in a stupor.

"Captain Hrage, better get the crew to battle stations."

"Ah...yes...of course."

As the man promptly began to shout, spurring his crew to action, the bothan officer began to take stock of the overall situation via holo-projector. The enemy outnumbered them by a bit, though not insurmountably though. Moreover, having arrived at the outskirts of the gravity well had given them a relatively good position from which to sally forth into the fight, or to retreat until more reinforcements arrived. His fur rippled as he pondered his options. His eyes mulled over the enemy ships and their actions. He noted with some interest that a group of unknown vessels had gone straight to attack the world's shipyards. Doubtlessly I can't just let them do that, as much as I would like to know who they are before trying to destroy them...He rapidly typed in several commands, causing his trio of Nonnah-class Assault Cruisers to target the pair of wedge-shaped ships roughly the size of Victory Star Destroyers (Inflictor II Heavy Cruisers), under this barrage of artillery fire, two dozen of his light corvettes darted forward to harass the other ships of the Victorian 7th Fleet. He turned his attention to a larger group of enemy warships colored in crimson and flying Sith Empire transponders. Without much thought, he selected the largest ship present, the Militus-class Star Battlecruiser Battalion as the rest of the fleet's primary target. The trio of Breakthrough-class Battlecruisers began to orient their bows (and their massive Onager-class Plasma Rail Cannons) on the Battalion. But even as these mighty weapons were readied, dozens of hypervelocity cannons, energy torpedoes, mass driver shells, and other long-ranged ordinance began to fly out through the stars to lash out at the command ship. Yet amidst this fire, the main Alliance fleet neither advanced or retreated, deciding to hold their position as their commander mulled over the battlefield and began to exchange information with the other Alliance officers present as well as the Republic Remnant fleet. One message in particular intrigued.

"The Sun Crusher?" repeated Kre'fey, staring at the flickering words on his console.

Could that really be true? The bothan had lived long enough and read enough to know that even stranger things were possible. Superlasers had been resurrected, yet he had never seen a resonance torpedo before, and it seemed more myth than reality. Yet his scans could make out a single, small ship in the distance that did appear to match the description of the legendary superweapon. His fur rippled. The stakes on this are too high to leave to pure chance...I have to size this threat up...is it a bluff? He thought back to countless meetings in the past with more shadowy and corrupt figures. He didn't know the commander of the vessel nor did he have any way to verify the ship's alleged capabilities. That only left on alternative to him. He flipped a switch on his headset comlink.

"Comms, monitor for any sign of priority communications between these crimson warships and their allies. Sensors, I want to know right away if there is any sign that our enemies may be thinking of jumping to hyperspace."

Hrage strolled over to the admiral's chair, "What are you thinking?"

"Back when I was...even less conventional than am I now, I had some dealings with some less than disreputable people. I couldn't always read some of them, especially the crazier ones, but I could read their allies. And that insight allowed me to better guess what the person really was going to do. I really doubt that whoever this is would destroy their own allies' ships. I doubt that the First Order would be pleased to hear about their battlecruiser being destroyed in such a matter. Would the Sith court war with the First Order?"

"I would almost see Fondor destroyed for that. Let the scum wipe each other out."

Kre'fey bobbed his head in agreement on the thought, though even he couldn't whole-heartedly embrace it. Our people are here too, after all...

The dark, hulking mass of the FIV Imperator cut through real space like a blade. The massive battlecruiser stopped dead in its tracks, as if observing and watching the battle to its fore unfurl. For a moment, the vessel sat still. A lone steel observer. But the moment was but fleeting, as a flurry of activity wrenched a near dozen vessels to its flank, fore, starboard and port side. A grand armada had been amassed. An anvil to visit the full wrath of Supreme Leader Ren, and his cohorts.

The command deck was alive with activity. Status reports, and messages all rang out across the deck. Thrown from one end, and then confirmed by their intended recipient. Sat on centre stage, in the midst of this cacophony, was the Imperator's name sake. Grand Admiral Carlyle Edrich Rausgeber. Or at the very least, what counted as him anyways. The droid which acted as the late Dosuunian's will and legacy stood silently aboard the mid section of the Imperator's bridge, on top of a durasteel plank, which sat above the cavernous crew pits.

Rausgeber eyed as Supreme Commander Graush's fleet engaged with the Alliance's fleet, and from what he could see, and identify, Sith Empire vessels. It appeared Battlegroup Imperator had arrived at an opportune moment to throw off the balance of battle. "Grand Admiral," Captain Bellamy barked. Theodore Bellamy was a young officer. Thirty four years old. Bespin born and raised. Married, with three children. A model imperial citizen, but an as of yet untested officer. But the Grand Admiral would see to that. He would temper the man into a blade of precision and ability, with Fondor the perfect whetstone. The cold, blue holographic display of Rausgebers face, now focused on the ashen haired officer, dead eyes locked with his. "Sir, the fleet is ready to advance upon your order." The man informed him. "We await your coordinates."

Carlyle considered the younger man, and the droids pixelated lips pursed in thought. "We wait
." Rausgeber informed the Captain. "That will not however stop us from engaging," Carlyle informed him, before gesturing at the ongoing battle in the distance. "We are just within engagement range, no?" The Grand Admiral inquired.

There was a pause, as the relevant officer compiled a brief report, and calculation. The Imperator's Chief Gunnery Officer replied but seconds later. "Grand Admiral Rausgeber, we are within long range engagement position Grand Admiral." The lieutenant dutifully replied. "Shall I give the order to fire?" The woman inquired.

Rausgeber nodded, "Order the Devastator to fire, upon their larger vessels," Carlyle began, "As for the rest of our vessels, concentrate fire in, and around their fleet," The droid gestured to the cluster of Alliance vessels, which hung in orbit, "We will weaken them from a distance. Let the Sith wear them thin, before we advance ourselves." With his orders conveyed, the droid pressed forward, to the front of the bridge, followed closely by Bellamy. From the starboard side, the Imperator watched as the Devastator began to pepper the enemy fleet, with megamaser blasts. That was the first course. Within seconds, this was followed with a chorus, of green, illuminating the space around the fleet, before pressing into the Alliance's lines.

Rausgeber watched with amusement. Should his offensive here work, and it would, given what history had old him, then the Galaxy may finally be free of this beast.

After what had seemed hours of hyperspace getting prepped and briefed for the battle ahead Yukimo felt the Predator jump out of hyperspace. Immediately her heart started racing and a slight smile would start to creep onto her face. Finally racing to her TIE Fighter with Delta Squadron it felt real. Finally being able to deliver one of the final blows onto the First Order's enemy caused her such a joy. Being able to end those who had killed so many of her friends and comrades almost made up for the losses. Rushing to get into their TIE's the alarm blaring and the control tower granting takeoff clearance, ground crews and mechanics running around making final check ups. Finally it was Delta's turn to take off.

You ready Voss?
Code:
Always ready LT He said while giving a thumbs up and what she could assuming a smile
After the control tower giving them clearance Delta all took off one by one from 1 to 5. Yukimo being 3 she could hardly wait to get into the fight, she loved hearing the roar of the TIE engines and Screech of the Imperial lasers onboard.

Delta 3, you are clear for takeoff. Good hunting
As soon as Yukimo heard this she would release the docking arms and gun it out the hanger to link up with Delta 1 and 2 while waiting for the others.

All Delta's, this is Delta actual. Our primary objective is to make sure no GA light craft make it near the fleet.
We are on Air superiority and I know we will do a fine job at it. He would said with a certain spark in his voice.
Seeing contacts pop up on their radar's Delta Squadron went into a screen pattern above the firing fleet to stay out of their laser fire and were ready to swoop down like vultures on
a dying rodent.

[ Five, this is Twelve, forming up on you. ]

Goldilocks gave a quick double click to [member="Chaff"], reassured her old pal from the Resistance had her six to the starboard side. [ Good to have you, One-Two. Like old times. ]

[ Your knight in shinning armor has arrived on your port wing, milady... I mean Flight Leader. ] Dagger quipped as Rogue Seven made them a trio for now. Where the hell was Rogue Leader and the rest of the squadron?

[ Remind me again why I saved your behind on Saberhing? ] Ava smirked back, then the blonde settled into a more professional air as steel blue eyes took in the hordes of enemy fighters pouring out of the bellies of the Sith Empire's metal beasts. This was going to be a royally fought battle indeed! A gloved finger reached out and touched a 'lucky coin' that was taped to her X-wing's flight console.

[ But I know you still love me... ] the Chandrilan bantered once again, always the joker. A scoff and roll of Goldie's eyes behind her yellow tinted visor was all Dags got before nailing things down. Squeak tootled something snarky, but the Ralltiiri didn't pay any attention to her very animated astromech droid.

[ Okay, cut the chatter.... S-foils into attack position. We are the spearhead. Let's show them how it's done. ]

x-wing-fighter-star-wars-aimated-gif.gif

[ Battle Actual, this is Rogue Five. I have Two Flight and two squadrons of Needlers from the Starchild heading up an initial fighter screen, over. ]

Hauling back on her flight stick, Ava canted it ever so slightly to the side, bringing the TR-20 up into a lopsided corkscrew maneuver. While the jerky motion off the snubfighter's nose meant she didn't have a Hoth's chance of hitting anything, it did make it harder to be hit herself as the two masses of starfighters met. Pumping more power into her shields, Goldie shot through a flurry of laser bolts before she penetrated the dark side formation.

The Ralltiiri hauled back on the stick, killing the weave, then arrowed her X-wing up into a flight of enemy fighters. She lined up one Sith fighter in her sights and let it have a quad blast of lasers right in the sweet spot. As the craft exploded, she cut the stick hard to starboard, then rolled out into a level line that continued her on the original course with a slight deviation to the right thrown in. The formation collapsed in around after her, then Five cruised out the other side, inverted and came back around for another pass.

"I have unfinished business with the First Order: rumor has it that they have been attacking on two theaters. I dispatched Commodore Helium to deal with those buggers on Lothal, but I pray she's safe: there are traitors everywhere, but even with traitors in our own ranks, we have to make them pay for this incursion!"

"I'm sure the enemy will have those Resurgent-III battlecruisers, rumors of which abound: some of them claim that shields are the cause of their problems, while others feel the cost to refit the Resurgent-IIs in service to Resurgent-IIIs is very high because of the quadranium..."

"Carmen, you haven't forgotten about how Cyrus somehow stays away from Therapy Command by now? I'm not sure he is willing to risk fighting me again since Kaeshana, where he left with a firepower-killed fleet! Anyhow, the brave First Order units will not have come there without some support from the Sith" Cathul retorted, with a special inflexion in the words firepower-killed. "Load heavy proton bombs! Set course for Fondor!"

While nearly every Chiloon-II still loyal to the Alliance was onboard the Therapy Command ships still loyal to the Alliance, the Chiloon-Is, on the other hand, were being loaded with those heavy Deathballs, to the tune of two apiece; everybody knew this sortie may well be their last, especially in large engagements where an individual fighter's survability was much lower than in smaller-scale engagements. At that rate I will be late for the party, so the enemy may as well be sandwiched between us aft, and the other GA forces forward, she thought, while intel has been sketchy as far as the enemy forces present on Fondor are concerned. Which means that she has to expect at least some level of enemy jamming. Also the Excubitor was in service again, after several months of refits, as had been the entire complement of Procurator-Xs to the Procurator-XI specs. So unlike those Resurgent-III rumors being floated around by units on the First Order border, the Alliance had no choice but to deploy the Procurator-XIs despite the shielding problems they have been plagued with. They have barely finished loading the bombs that the fleet reverted in orbit over Fondor, some distance away from the enemy's aft quarter, below their plane, but with at least some enemy escorts still engageable at standard range, and yet the enemy command ships seemed to be beyond standard turbolaser range. They were still fair game for long-range fire, however.

"Scan the area for status!" Cathul ordered, while being in position to start using battle meditation.

"Looks like the battle has already begun" the sensor technician reported, while seeing the First Order Sixth Fleet firing at the Starchild and the Nemo Ven. "Red hulled ships are something new from the Sith, a subclass of Xo'Xaan-IIs apparently, but we can't identify the makes nor names of the remaining escorts, except for one: the Sun Crusher. The jamming is too heavy"

"Poodoo: we won't be able to penetrate the hull of that thing!" Carmen commented, in response to the Sun Crusher statement, fearing that some ancient horror would actually be unleashed. "Is that true? Do the Sith really have such stuff?" she asked in disbelief.

"Activate ECCM and then the gravity well generators, centered on the reactor domes of the enemy command ships! All long-range fire, concentrate on the three enemy command ships, while everyone else fire at the closest enemy escorts: hopefully some debris from can be torn off the enemy escorts and be attracted towards the reactor domes and maybe penetrate them"

"But why did we even load proton bombs in the first place?"

"All fighter squadrons with proton bombs: travel some distance in the direction of the enemy escorts, drop your bombs and then return back to the fleet!"

- BATTLE MEDITATION ACTIVATED -

Oblivious to the threat posed by the elephant in the room, erm, battlespace they all call the Sun Crusher, probably because the quantum-crystalline armor is something everyone and their dogs knew couldn't be penetrated with the weapons they had at their disposal, Cathul instead ordered the ECCM activated, causing the sensor jamming to be less intense prior to establishing firing solutions, and, while they still couldn't make out classes or names, at least they could make out their positions with sufficient accuracy to establish a firing solution based on those sensor readings. With that said, the eight gravity well projectors at her disposal split themselves as follows: three wells each for the Galewind, the Battalion and the final two for the FIV Merciless. And then the enemy fleets would have to endure a hailstorm of covering fire, such as HVCs, turbolasers, ion cannons, solar ionization cannons, and even missiles, even though she knew that the First Order would be prompt in using missile deactivation transmitters to cause at least some of them to detonate prematurely. But this was the main reason why she had bombers fly some distance towards the predicted trajectories of enemy ships prior to unleashing heavy proton bombs with a 400m blast radius. In space, once an item is dropped with a given speed, it will continue to fly at that speed in the direction it was dropped until it hits something or some other force is applied to it; hence the fighters could drop hundreds of such bombs after the launch platforms reached attack speed, in the direction of enemy ships. And also why they returned to the fleet prior to potentially make another run of this nature, under the effects of battle meditation taking hold in her area of space.

"Then again, the implications of the Sun Crusher floating around are not to be taken lightly: if there actually are resonance torpedoes inbound, the consequences would be that they might find themselves at war against the First Order should one be fired. It would, in fact, obliterate the system altogether" the chief security officer reported.

"Not even the Potentate could penetrate it, although if push comes to shove we could always have the Potentate fire single-reactor ignition, as it is currently being charged"

  • Activated the ECCM
  • Acivated battle meditation
  • Activated the gravity well generators centered on the Battalion, the Merciless and the Galewind reactor domes
  • Fired at the enemy command ships at long range
  • Fired at enemy escorts at standard range
  • Peppered the three enemy fleets with free-floating heavy proton bombs guided by inertia

"Interval?"

Rayf flashed a thumbs up from the cockpit of his TR-20.

"Check. Thrusters positive...stand by. Thrusters fluctuating, abort takeoff."

"Starchild Rogue Leader copy that. Throttle down to safe."

"Roger, Leader."

Commander Vigil pounded on his cockpit's display, "Feth! Get me out of here!"

He disengaged and slid back the transparisteel latch in one forceful motion, glancing down in frustration as the battlecruiser's deck crew began swarming his bird looking to address the cause of the malfunction. That had been the third aborted takeoff in a row, and the Corellian ace had never felt more helpless than sitting there in that moment, forced to listen in on the panicked voices of his pilots who had already plunged into sudden combat. Reports had quickly reached hangar level of an unusual number of malfunctions throughout the fleet, but it wasn't until their own people started reporting friendly starfighters on them that the greater implications of this moment began to dawn on them.

"Flight..." Rayf blurted out onto comms, noticing before the distracted deck crew the intruders entering their hangar. He saw a flash of what looked like a blaster, "Flight! Cover!"

The words had barely escaped his mouth when a repeating blaster cannon opened fire on the Starchild's main flight control center. Charged particle beams melted through glasteel and tore through anything living in the confined space behind. Any illusions that this may be a disturbed, lone gunman evaporated when the marines standing next to him opened fire as well. All around him, the deck crew dove away from his bird and towards cover. A base of fire cut several down mid sprint, and the commander struggled briefly with his X-Wing's latch before slamming his cockpit shut and confirming a hard seal.

"Well, here goes nothing," Vigil winced to himself, dispensing with pre-flight and slamming on the ship's foot pedal. He had no way of knowing if the deck crew managed to fix the malfunction this time.

Small arms fire scorched the side of his X-Wing shortly before the fighter took off like a rocket down one of the Starchild's many launch tubes. About halfway through, Rayf felt a sudden dip in momentum and rerouted his main thrusters to auxiliary systems on instinct, narrowly avoiding slamming into the deck of his launch tube in the process. Another heartbeat later and he was free, out in open space, and in that moment the Corellian felt in many ways that he had leapt straight out of a frying pan and into the fire.

All around him it was already a war zone. Moored capital ships were taking direct fire from both First Order and Sith Imperial warships, and already Rogue Leader was beginning to see signs of this reported Alliance on Alliance combat as well.

"Rogue Squadron, this is Rogue Leader," he keyed on his squadron frequency after a moment's hesitation. Rayf wasn't sure who he could trust right now, but he figured he may as well start with the pilots he had flown and fought with personally, "Form up on me, and let's give these eyeballs hell. They're in the rancor's den now!"

Humans, and organics in general, were complex things. T-3 had already learned this in it's brief time of existence, studying them from afar and usually in silence. The droid had not been programmed with much of a personality, and in truth it's understanding of most things was limited, but he could still observe. It didn't quite understand the slight annoyance in Danger's tone, nor did it really understand why the organics were sending fleets to Fondor, but the beauty of it was that the droid didn't need to understand.

It was just programmed to fight.

T-3's fingers twitched slightly for a moment, it's on-board communications suite tapping into the Shipyards own feed. A wall of information slammed into the droid, dozens of different distress calls and reports from all across the Alliance fleet. The droid stood, immobile, not even the slightest action being taken as it took in all of the data now flowing into it. Half a second passed, and then the droid drew it's disruptor from where it had been stored on it's back.

The droid doubted the enemy would be here soon, but it paid to be prepared.

Reports were coming in from all over the battle. The bridge was filled with chatter as the technicians and communications officers buzzed around the circular structure attempting to figure out what was what and who was really who they said they were.

"Communication from the ANS Spear of the Alliance," a com officer shouted over the roar of activity. "They're asking if we're friendly! We're also getting notifications from the other ships in our battle group. It seems like any traitors that were aboard have been dealt with or they were clean to begin with." Pryce nodded in response.

"Send the confirmation-" his response was cut off by the sudden blow from the First Order ships. "What the hell was that?"

"Desolator-class Battlecruiser from the First Order, we took a direct hit to our starboard flank!" Thank the Force the Starchild was no slouch when it came to shields and armor.

"Who do we have that hasn't been taken out yet?" A list of ship names and models blinked into place as a holo display at his captain chair. Pryce scrolled through the list taking note of several ships and nodding.

[Rogues, this is Captain Pryce, we're getting hammered over here by those First Order Star Destroyers and their battle cruiser. Rogue leader you think you can take are of the guns on that Desolator? Needler Squadrons 3 and 1 stay back and keep screening for fighters. Rogue Leader, pick up a few fighters and do what you do best.]

The message went out to the Rogues and the rest of the fighters along with orders to the myrmidon frigates and the rest of the battle group under his command. Several Alliance Providence-class light destroyers lurched forward into a simple diamond formation with the Myrmidon frigates filling in the gaps. The providence-class destroyers loaded their flex-tube ordinance launchers with dampner aerosol anti-laser missiles and fired towards the Starchild's bridge and starboard flank, blinding their sensors for a moment, but the brief moment of blindness became a respite as turbolaser fire from the destroyers dissipated into manageable or negligible blows to the shields. But it also meant that until the Starchild re-positioned itself it wouldn't be able to fire on any First Order ships from this angle, but it was a good trade off. There were still literal fires being put out from the Y-wing and despite the shield taking the brunt of the blow from the battle cruiser, several systems had been rocked offline in the rear starboard section of the ship.

"Get me a damage report of the Starchild, we're too far to hit them with the normal cannons and with that dampner aerosol floating like that we're sitting useless. Providence-class destroyers, fire on their destroyers. Swords, move to engage starfighters and fire ion cannons on their frigates." The Starchild had been the target of two defector attacks now and there was someone on some open frequency saying something about a Sun Crusher? He didn't have time for ancient myths even if he'd known the sun crusher was a myth. He pushed played off the Sun Crusher as an attempt to confuse an already confused Alliance Navy and focused on getting his ship back in order. It was all he could do to keep the damage from the FO's assault to a minimum.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Jax’s boots made confident strides towards his TR-20 with a determined bearing. Quietening out all the the sounds of bustling activity and the klaxon alarms in his way; absolutely nothing could stand in the way of the newly promoted lieutenant and his baby taking out a few First Order scum in the process, something he had churning for in the midst of all the missions and stakeouts he had done during his time with the Rogues. Climbing up the ladder to his cockpit, ground control was just about finished with final checks, wiring necessary umbilical’s to his ship when the impact came —— The rocketing knocked Jax from the ladder with some light brushing to his side, he ignored the jolts of pain, some he was still recovering from that rough landing in Gelto with a look of bewilderment and alarm in the direction of the explosion that had targeted the Starchild's control center.

“What the—“ An Alliance Y-Wing!? What was going on here? Somehow he was finding it hard to process that there could be possible defectors among their midst, they had all come so far to get where they are and who in their right mind could support the First Order and it’s tyranny had another thing coming. His mind was reeling but he had no time to think about it and instantly his survival mode kicked in when blasters began firing out of nowhere; scrambling to his feet Jax made another attempt to haul himself over to the ladder and made a jump into the safety of his fighter’s cockpit with an exhale of relief. Snaps who was a inside his fighter’s socket made chirping sounds to indicate his own signs of distress. “We’ll be alright, buddy. It's just a minor set back.” Jax assured his little friend with a grim chuckle, whom he trusted with practically everything at this point.

We’ll get every single one of ‘em.

He practically crammed his flight helmet on top of his head and began the preflight checklist hastily before launching out into real space with the rest of his Squadron. Behind the visor of his helmet, his blue hues darkened as he mentally prepared himself for the war zone he automatically took his sights on.

Rayf Vigil said:
"Rogue Squadron, this is Rogue Leader," he keyed on his squadron frequency after a moment's hesitation. Rayf wasn't sure who he could trust right now, but he figured he may as well start with the pilots he had flown and fought with personally, "Form up on me, and let's give these eyeballs hell. They're in the rancor's den now!"
Regaining composure, Jax answered to his callsign as he brought his TR-20 aligned to his commander's left, directly into the fire of many First Order and Alliance ships, with TIES and other vessels coming at each other from opposing directions. "On your wing, sir." He wasn't feeling all too optimistic about this new arrangement, the Rogues had been his family for hard long months and the mere idea of one of them turning on each had his mind racing but that wouldn't stop him from going out for blood.

More reports were coming in, the ships were identifying as friendly but many were still left up in the air. According to reports, at least ones the Spear and Tiburons were getting, mixed reports. Ships were going neutral, some declared full on enemy. Even the shipyards were being notated to be a possible turncoat. The Omega Pyre had undergone some changes, and was in the hands of a businesswomen now, who knew if it could be trusted?

Bottom dollar and what was right for the galaxy very rarely ever agreed. Cuan tightened his grip on the throttle. The Rogue Leader had arrived and that meant things were about to change. Tiburons were forming up and moving towards the Rogues, at least one of the friendly groups that came in. “Rogue Leader, this is Tiburon Leader, squadron marked clean.” Came the call from the Duros to [member="Rayf Vigil"].

Cuan saw the green coming up behind him but then felt the laser blasts as a flight of A-Wings came strafing on the formed up X-Wings. Before even flinching, he squeezed off some shots as they overshot the X-Wings.

“Tiburon Squadron to A-Wing flight, we are Alliance loyal, please respond!”

A few seconds went and they turned around. Tiburon leader gave the order to break and Cuan dove with his flight group. He really was missing having the TIE/Ints in the squadron right about now. Rolling and throwing power to the throttle, the fighter dove as blasts came from a nearby corvette, for the A-Wings.

This was not how he was thinking a trip to the Core was going to go.

Following Ava's lead, Chaff cut into the Sith formation, blaster cannons firing away and spewing crimson bolts into the formation of enemy fighters. The unlucky TIE he'd set his sights on caught the bolts in its wings, and in an astonishingly lucky coincidence, proceeded to spiral out of control into its wingman leaving both of them to explode into a shower of sparks and shrapnel.

[Guess it's time we form up on the Old Man.] He broadcasted quickly, taking note of Rayf's call to arms as Two Flight set themselves up for another pass. He wouldn't make the call, Goldie had command and he had no plans to dispute her, but Vigil's call came with some weight.

Looking out at the squadron of CH-5's flying alongside them, he wondered what it must've been like inside the minuscule snubfighters. The TR-20 gave him plenty of room to breathe, made it feel like he was in a fighter as opposed to the Needler's which in his experience felt more or less like a speederbike. It took a special kind of crazy to fly those things he supposed, but they'd ll had to be that kind at some point or another.

Besides, with how the day was going, it looked like they weren't going to be able to afford any kind of pickiness in terms of craft once it was over.

[ Rogue Squadron, this is Rogue Leader... Form up on me, and let's give these eyeballs hell. They're in the rancor's den now! ]

Goldilocks had just pulled her TR-20 into a loop that brought the Ralltiiri around in the enemy formation they had been hammering since launch from the Starchild when Commander Vigil finally came to life over the comms. It was a relief to hear him, and in his usual friendly tone.

She snapped a series of shots off at one starfighter she'd been harassing and watched it finally disintegrate, flying through its fiery explosion, then the lieutenant answered their CO after double checking Seven and Twelve were still with her.

tumblr_oqncg9hSmO1r49x55o3_540.gif

[ Roger that, Rogue Leader. Two Flight has three inbound to you momentarily. ] Rogue Five keyed back, then she toggled over to her two wing mates on their ship to ship channel just as Chaff made a comment.

[ Guess it's time we form up on the Old Man. ]

[ Yep, you heard him. We've got bigger fish to fry. Starchild needs our help. Let's go do our job. Stay tight, stay alert. ]

Ava heard double clicks, then ratcheted the throttle up to full and swooped the X-wing up on its port stabilizers. She dove to make a bee line to where the rest of Rogue Squadron had gathered behind their leader. It was good to see Six with them and flying One's wing.

Kyli DT-6767
FIV Merciless, Drop Pod Bay

Kyli wipes thumb across the Visor of helmet that she clutches firmly between her hands while sitting idly in her open Drop Pod with weapons stored on either side of her seat. Meditative and calming breaths pass up and down steadily flaring nostrils; meditative breaths for the approaching battle this would be ALPHA's second combat drop aboard these new Drop Pods the initial one went smoothly albeit not with comfort especially for the gargantuan Dergan Twigg and swaggering Rexus Wenck the latter of whom Kyli permitted to smoke his way through her personal supply of cigars that were no longer used for their absence of any calming effect upon the Death Trooper. Kyli slides the heavy metal helmet down over the neat and short ponytail to its' resting place atop the bodysuit that covered her nape where the hair stood to attention from some long-drawn out anxiety waiting with a veritable ache for the relief of release from the FIV Merciless' drop pod bay into the cacophony of battle that Kyli is so intimately familiar and comfortable to inhabit as is the nature of any individual raised from childhood for soldiering and war. "Rex, Ted meet me in the drop pod bays mine's second-to-last when you walk in don't leave me waiting now gentlemen even Snipers get lonely." With a thought the open comm tab displayed against visor is swatted away with the calm solicitation of increased pace from nearby comrades who would no-doubt join her shortly.

Rumour had it that Sun Guards of Thyrsus might be joining them on the Operation, a thought Kyli was insulted by and inwardly hoped the Supreme Commander would be deploying them in seperate areas with the Death Trooper confidently believing other Soldiers would merely slow ALPHA's nigh-unstoppable onslaught.
"Hopefully we're deployed to those Dockyards, don't need to worry about artillery or armour, we'll turn the place into a glorified live-fire killhouse drill." Muttering the thought openly Kyli's hands rapidly secure herself to the drop pod's seat with a painfully accurate dexterity and though usually quiet Kyli on the rare occasion did exploit it in front of regular service personnel particularly Stormtroopers who she felt a deep affection towards. Inclining left and right the Death Troopers inspects either weapon stored beside seat and uses her Index finger to casually shift the fire-selector on her rifle to 'semi-automatic' after all she somewhat arrogantly dismissed fully-automatic for the imprecise brute and amateurs of which she is neither, though she would fallback on it if absolutely necessary.

Kyli eases back into her seat and props her feet into their correct positions for drop, a soothing audio track begins to fill her helmet's confines and she purses her eyes shut attempting to find a place of peace and solace far from the voices that constantly clawed in the dark recesses of her mind.
"Why didn't you help us sixty-seven? You just laid there screaming like some stuck womp rat! You didn't save us from the fire, why didn't you save us!? No, You're a coward and ignoring us won't make you any less furious no matter how deep you try to bury our memories with our forgotten corpses. We will share one grave when your time comes." The disembodied voice earns Kyli's mental attention for a moment though she relents from engaging the spectre manifested from her own memories; recognizing the side-effect of her augmentations immediately Kyli searches for an injector within one of her many leather pouches attached to armour with a controlled panic before quickly locating the prize and jams the green-liquid filled injector into the port sitting on the ventral surface of her arm. 'There's nothing I could have done to change what happened' Kyli shakes her head firmly to escape free the stills that flooded through mind of charred blackened skin and the straw-coloured fluid that oozed through the blistered bodies of the Wrath's victims and her many friends whose lives were claimed in the resulting fuel-driven inferno.

Fiolette's eyes narrowed on the screen, her brow furrowed she watched as three Alliance Cruisers moved to engage the Inflictor and the Imogen. The Victorian Fleet worked their way around the shipyard's famous exterior. Mass driver cannons had impacted the shipyards already and thus when the trio of ships approached the retired grand admiral's personal flotilla she grew quiet waiting and watching. "Dispatch interdiction mines from the Stormcloud," her words flowed easily from her lips, it seemed battle still called to her even if she no longer bore the personal bearings of the First Order or Sith Empire. She was a free agent here to do as she pleased - but more importantly, here to help bring down the Galactic Alliance. A repayment for their dastardly attack on Anoat, repayment for the lives lost at Kuragin, "where are those ion mines?"

"Dispatched at our rear in spread formation, those Nonnah's should hit either or," one of the younger officers reported.

"Good," Fiolette replied, her eyes were drawn to the two dozen blips that now traced across the stars for her fleet. The Bolt IIIs were split down the middle, half carried ion torpedoes the other plasma. Charger IIs were equipped with ion torpedoes as well a risky move way from their traditional baradium payload. She wanted to capture some of the ships if possible, break them down for scrap, and bring others back to the Sith Empire for study. She turned away from the battle map for a split moment, Fiolette's eyes were now trained on a message console. Setting an encryption key in, she dispatched a message to the Mandalorians [ [member="Yasha Mantis"] | [member="Kaine Australis"] | [member="Alkor Centaris"] ]. AKAAN TSIKADOR.

Just as she turned to look back at her battle map, one of the consoles overhead caught her attention. Communications teams had been keep tracking of the absolute chaos that had now consumed Alliance space. "Ao, pause that - rewind, zoom." She requested as she moved from her command station and crossed the trenches and pointed at a particular spot on the feed. "Zoom." Taeli. "Thank you - that was all." Quietly the Galidraani turned away from the station and headed back to her command station, a small smile crept along her face as she thought about the woman who had been the mastermind behind the Alliance's ultimate downfall. Congratulations darling, your work has paid off. The energy fire from the three cruisers were met with the retribution shields from both the Inflictor and the Imogen.

"Ma'am the corvettes," an officer pointed out.

"Yes, yes, engage them with a screen from our picket corvettes - have the Charger IIs engage them as well, launch the interceptor droids. Take out any missiles they launch, those mass drivers are useless up close. Have our mauler turbolasers at the ready to engage, activate Dagger III ACE Systems." Fiolette's orders were carried out quickly, the shipyards were reeling from the damage taken by the pair of Inflictor IIs. Now it was time to focus on the Alliance fleet, so she searched her enemy's fleet. "Focus all fire our on the Nonnah-1, here (Fondorian Courage), and the Imogen's fire on Nonnah-2 there (Fondorian Might). And, focus the Stormcloud's guns on the Nonnah-3 (Fondorian Honor)."

"Have our Muhktiars target any and all starfighters that come across our path."

The dozen anti-starfighter corvette's weapons turned ready to strike at any stray Alliance starfighter who crossed the Victorian 7th's path as they made their turn around the exterior of the shipyard using it as a physical shield between them and any enemy forces. Fiolette pursed her lips as she watched the battle unfold, she took another moment to look over at the viewport up ahead. Where the prowess of Imperial and Alliance might worked to slug it out in a match that would either destroy Fondor or save it entirely. "Ma'am message coming through from [member="Danger Arceneau"]."

"Send it to me."

Fiolette took a moment to analyze the message, she understood where the woman came from as a leader. Unfortunately she could no more guarantee their safety as she could the men and women under her command. "Get me the signatures for the ATC Convoy, keep them on the friendly count." She ordered from her station, officers and enlisted worked to carry out her orders. "The First Order is now in the system, they're pulling the Alliance away."

"Aye, let's do our best to keep it that way." She confirmed as she tugged at the red and black uniform that she wore.

"Weapons ready to fire on your order, Imogen and Stormcloud report ready as well, ma'am."

"Fire."

In a singular moment all three starships fired, aimed for the Nonnah assault crusiers, a mix of interdiction missiles and disruptor torpedoes streaked across the depths of space. Accompanying them were the mass driver cannons (while still useful at this range), turbolasers and particle laser systems that blurred the blackness with color as they broke through - intending to strike the Nonnahs. Granted not all the turbolasers would hit but the hope was that enough, just enough would. Fiolette watched and waited from her command ship, all the while keeping track of the Sith-Imperial Armada.

Victorian 7th: Action Report
  • Energy weapons from the cruisers are reflected back, partially, by retribution shields from the Imogen and the Inflictor. Sustains minimal damage to shields overall.
  • All three leads prep and return fire on the Nonnah crusiers. Light corvettes are met upon entering target range by all Bolt IIIs and Charger IIs.
  • Ion and Interdiction mines are on the field behind the Victorian 7th. Victorian 7th is pushing around the outside of the Fondor shipyards.
  • Interdiction and disruptor missiles are also in bound for the Nonnah crusiers.
  • Sent encrypted message signalling Mandalorian arrival.
  • Added ATC Convoy codes to IFF for Friendly.

The Dark Troopers would continue to force their way through the shipyard facilities, eventually reaching the computer cores. They plugged multiple datasticks into each core - some were for siphoning the data of the GA starship blueprints, while others were for virally infecting the yard's systems. Either way, the shipyards would soon be under temporary Sith sway, their remaining operative guns firing on the attacking GA-aligned fleet. Once the data was siphoned, the datasticks were placed in a transmitter that beamed a signal to the Battalion, transmitting the information further onto datasticks. Some of these would be given to the Imperial Navy for examination in tactical classes. One would be kept by the Maldrood for research. And several would be stored in the event that other examples became lost or corrupted.

The commander of the Battalion opened up a message to all Alliance-aligned forces. This included Rogue Squadron, [member="Bandor Kre'fey"]'s fleet, and [member="Cathul Thuku"]'s fleet. The Republic Remnant forces had as of yet done nothing - surprising, perhaps they accepted the threat - and currently the XoXaan IIs were firing back against the ships engaging them. Before the message was opened, a quick data transmission was sent to [member="Danger Arceneau"], requesting IFF data for all neutral equipment that was being evacuated in order to prevent it from being fired upon. Well, fired upon by the Sith at least.

"Attention, Alliance forces. This is the Imperial Star Battlecruiser Battalion of Crimson Command. Our commander has already placed a Sun Crusher - the very same superweapon once used by the Galactic Empire to destroy the Carida system - within range of the Fondor star. If you continue your attack, I will have no choice but to order a resonance torpedo be fired into the star by the superweapon. Ninety minutes from the time of firing, the Fondor system will be evaporated by a supernova. Billions in the system will die, as you have no way of getting an evacuation fleet together in such a short span of time. Retreat to a distance outside firing range for your guns, call back your fighters and bombers, and cease attacking the Sith and First Order ships. You have five minutes to comply - if you do not, the resonance torpedo will be fired and everything that comes from the resulting supernova will be on your hands."

Still, the Battalion did not contact the other allied ships, and for good reason given the truth of the Sun Crusher.

The moment it was mentioned that they had a Sun Crusher, the panic on the bridge swelled. Fear was a mind killer. She expected fear to the verwhelm lesser species given how well it sometimes affected her own. That didn't mean she was apt to put up with it, however. Quite the opposite. These were supposed to be trained military personnel and she bloody well expected them to act like it. The fact that they weren't made her more than a little bit angry. In fact, she slammed her fist down on her chair because of it.

"I will have silence on my bridge!" she demanded, rising from her seat and looked around at them.

"But Admiral, they-"

She held up a finger to cut off the Captain.

"They have made a claim and scanners have confirmed it matches the profile, nothing more. Only fools take the word of their enemy at face value. The people who run away with their tail between their legs just because they are threatened have no place here. We are the Republic Navy, and I expect you to act like it. We know nothing other than it matches the profile.

"You would all do well to recogbize that if it is real and they use it, the full weight of the galaxy will descend upon them in crushing fashion. The people of this galaxy do not tolerate superweapons. They never have and they never will. All superweapons have ever done is been the bane of all who have created them. Everyone who has created one has fallen as a result of it. Do not cower like dogs in the rain. We will investigate the threat in the best way possible."

She stood, staring briefly into the eyes of every single member of her bridge crew, before walking back to her command seat. Once there, she picked up her datapad and typed a furious series of orders which she sent down to the flight deck, directly into the hands of a waiting Captain of the Starfighter Corp, leader of Jaeger Squadron, one of the Republic's elite fighter squadrons. They had been waiting for orders, and as soon as they had them, they launched. Twelve StealthE's left the ship and flew silently down and away before directing off towards the Sith fleet that was hiding the supposed Sun Crusher. Flying down and away would avoid them silhouetting on the Republic fleet.

The crew was still anxious, unsure what it was that ahe had done by typing something out on her datapad. It was a necessity that she keep them in the dark, however. Until open engagement was made, no one was ever to know the operations of the StealthE squadrons, and as far as anyone outside of Republic Intelligence and her knew, one of those squadrons didn't even exist. SPECTRE was not involved in the current engagement, however, as they were on another operation.

"Admiral, what exactly are we doing?"

"We are waiting, Captain. Giving the appearance that we are contemplating complying with the enemies demand is beneficial at the moment. It's only been a few minutes so we still have time to call their bluff."

Plenty of it as the starfighters of Jaeger Squadron stealthily aporoached the enemy fleet, arming their ProtonX torpedoes, and firing a salvo of twelve (12) of them directly at the supposed Sun Crusher. They were going to test whether it was really that ship by determining if it really possessed the armor of said ship. If it didn't, it would get blown sky high by the fighters eventually. Then it wouldn't matter if it had been real or not.

"Fighters to maintain readiness and we continue to hold position. If this works, we will begin bombardment of enemy fleets momentarily."

"Let's go! Let's go!" Mazik roared.

He was providing covering fire for the last few Alliance loyalists dashing from cover to board his shuttle. The commodore's Glie-44 service blaster was already warning him that its power pack was getting low on charge, a weapon he had fired perhaps a handful of times before today outside of target practice. It had been one mad dash after another throughout the contested innards of the Nemo Ven, some sort of sabotage to the turbolifts had forced Stazi to crawl out its emergency hatch a few decks above his designated hangar.

Some would no doubt be lain low at the sheer scale of this betrayal, simply unable to comprehend it until willful ignorance led to their downfall. But to a man like Mazik, all this meant was just another enemy to fight. He had wasted no time in gunning down those who had saluted him on the way up to the bridge when he first arrived, wasting little thought on the scorched Alliance uniforms of those he killed fighting his way back to his ship.

Another loyalist was cut down right in front of the shuttle, and so the duros slammed down on the U-Wing's hatch mechanism, closing it up for transit even as more loyalists slammed against its side and started pounding to be let in. Traitor forces had flanked them, and those unfortunate souls were ruthlessly peppered by a barrage of las fire before the commodore had even shouted his order to take off. If he had delayed even a second longer, that flurry would have cut through the shuttle's passenger bay.

"Report," he grunted, after shoving his way up into the copilot seat and raising the Hereafter on comms, "Will be landing in ten."

That was assuming they survived that long. Already, the terrified pilot sitting next to him was forced to resort to some gut wrenching evasive action just to avoid being torn apart by turbolaser crossfire from the massive enemy armadas now engaging near Fondor's dry dock.

"Commodore! Thank the Force you're alive!" from the excitable tone of Commander Bashir, the duros could tell that his first officer was not handling this sudden turn of fortune as well as he was, "Picking up your U-Wing's transponder! I'm dispatching a squadron to escort you in."

"I said report, commander," he repeated, this time emphasizing the force in his order.

"Signs of small to large scale mutinies are widespread throughout the system. Somehow both the First Order and the Sith managed to jump in without tripping our defense net, we suspect now due to sabotage. The Nemo Ven's guns are still firing intermittently and in the right direction, but we've lost contact with its bridge and Admiral Quinto. Vice Admiral Tre'Na aboard the New Kaleth has assumed command for now. He's ordered the Javelin, Beskad, and Bulwark to shield Quinto's Viscount from incoming enemy fire and anyone else in the Fifth nearby into defensive forma-"

"Bashir? Bashir?!"

Command Deck, ANS Hereafter

"What happened?" Bashir asked, "Who cut transmission?"

"It's all this First Order jamming, sir."

"Do we still have contact with Tre'Na?" he said, pacing back and forth across the bridge in a subconscious display of anxiety.

"Yes, commander," Lieutenant Commander Celys was an Arkanian offshoot, and the Hereafter's second officer. While Mazik was still in transit, she served as his executive, "The New Kaleth's communications array is far more powerful, and it will take the First Order more time to hone in on our encryption protocols."

On a readout panel underneath the bridge's central tactical holodisplay, Bashir had already caught sight of an order from the Vice Admiral for loyalist orbital defenses to begin counter-jamming both the First Order and Sith Imperial fleets. Their alert fighters had been scrambled and launched, and the bulk of the star carrier's squadrons would be deployed in a matter of minutes. Per orders, his navigation officers were moving into position alongside the Light of Ashla along the rear flank of the Fifth's main battle line.

"Targeting assignments from the New Kaleth!"

"All batteries," Bashir gazed up at its holographic analogue, "Return fire on target designate Devastator."

"Admiral, they're asking us to leave."

"Of course they are. Always afraid of a fight. All ships, revert all power to main guns and forward shields. Fire on the Alliances ships. Make them hurt."

"Yes, ma'am. All Imperial ships, this is the Galewind. Fire all guns upon the Alliance ships. Have the Athenas deploy shields."

At the rear of Zahori's fleet, the Athenas moved to their positions. Each one, evenly spaced out to provide ultimate coverage for the fleet as their purpose was to do just that. The frigates deployed their deflector shields, protecting much of the rear of Zahori's fleet, allowing her to focus on the battle ahead.

"While the Athenas cover the rear, we push forward."

Rausgeber's lips pursed with delight, as the Alliance fleet flailed against his assault. He watched as the Starwind attempted to manoeuvre around the damage, and allowed himself a cool cackle. While the dispersion of gas, was of slight irritation, the conduct displayed by the Alliance, was amusing, to say the least. His voice carried with it the artificial edge of a vocal synthesiser, which boomed around the deck, putting his subordinates on edge. The crew watched him, with nervousness, as the Galactic Alliance's best and brightest began to fire back. As if sensing the need to reign in the children, Carlyle took the lead. "Stand firm, ladies and gentlemen." The droid ordered. His tone was warm. That of a reassuring parent. That was, what an officer was in a way. A sheperd. One who made sure the men and women under his command were as safe as possible, and able to perform to the best of their ability. Through, fear, or through inspiration.

"We have them right where we want," Rausgeber's gaze then drifted, and locked with a Zabraki ensign, who physically withered at the attention. "Helmsman, begin to advance. Compensate us for their retreat."The Imperator's cold, undead stare now returned to the Gunnery Officer, "Remind the Alliance that we are still here." The Grand Admiral to the gunner, "Concentrate fire on the vessels attempting to shield that battered vessel," He referred to the stricken hulk of the ill-named, Nemo Ven, "It must hold some importance, perhaps a command ship." He calculated, "Unless," And the Grand Admiral smiled, wickedly, "It is more of this, supposed honour and courage..." His voice trailed into the distance, "Code of conduct, or sympathtic officers, either way, they are damned. Fire." . The crewmen addressed by their leader nodded, and with the Signals Officers compliance, Battlegroup Imperator inched forward, the vessels keeping up their bombardment with a zealous hatred.

Fighters followed their lead, keeping up with their commanders, and clinging to the larger command ships, strafing them. Waiting in reserve for the moment to strike against their counterparts. For its part, the FIV Devastator remained at the centrepiece of the fleet, with the Imperator sitting at its starboard. They stood together, side by side, pressing forth the engagement, surrounded and flanked by destroyers and cruisers. The bombardment of the Alliances position was merciless. An endless stream of missiles and lasers of all varieties continued to try to crack the enemy. The Sixth Fleet, more than most was driven by revenge. They had lost countless comrades to the Alliance. Be it with their unprovoked attack on Kaeshana, to their finest hour in the Ison Corridor, the Sixth Fleet had stood time and again as a tool for the dismantling of this regime. And now, as Imperator Command slowly began to deliver, the finishing blow. It was a moment Carlyle fantasised about it, and had almost fetishised to an extent. And it was all about to end, with him being a master of ceremonies. Fleetingly, he thought about life out of the service. He could return to his love, Tamm'nurr'uruodo. Be a father, to his as of yet unborn children. Retain his lost humanity, begin to...

"Grand Admiral Rausgeber!" The Sensor Officer began, catching the Grand Admiral in a vulnerable moment, "Hostiles incoming sir, four Alliance corvette packs. Six each," The officer detailed. Rausgeber did nothing but attempt to correct the momentary shock which had been projected unto his screen, and returned it to the traditional glowering sneer, all had come accustomed to. "Dirigible class." The Officer informed him, "They're coming in at point four, seven, ten, and twelve." The droids optical sensors tracked the movements, of the corvettes. He watched them as they now closed on the fleets position. The Galactic Alliance had learned something during their duels together it seemed, and imitated the traditional corvette flanks and charges the Imperator was so used to ordering himself. Carlyle was flattered by the gesture. Imitation after all was the most sincerest form of flattery, no?

But this overture had to be shut down. Rausgeber's optical sensor turned to the tactical display, the enemy corvettes had begun engaging with his own. This would not stand. "Signals
," Rausgeber began. The young officer perked up from a lull in her post, and sat, attentively waiting for the order, "Inform Commodore Banning that he is to loosen his formation, and to escape these vessels," Rausgeber glowered, "I want him to lure those corvettes to the guns of one of our destroyers," The Grand Admiral stormed, his voice filled with anger, and a renewed sense of venomous vigour. "Crush them, and continue." They would be no match. The First Order and, begrudgingly the Sith, had this menace by the throat. But that did not mean the beast was slain. It would writhe, and lash out, but should their fear be tempered. Should men stay strong. They would end this today.

The corvettes, targeted by the Alliance, split off, and now began to manoeuvre themselves by the hulking destroyers. Several TIE Bomber and fighter squadrons took an interest in these new found targets, and in conjunction with these destroyers, now began to assault the Dirigible menace, assaulting with payloads of missiles, and torpedoes in an attempt to kill their engines, or crush the vessels. The Chasseur-class had a far easier time avoiding the corvettes. Superior engine power, and an emphasis on veterans above stock standard personnel meant they were a cut above the Alliance's attempt. This was not the case for the crew of the Carnage who were less than able. Rookies from Dosuun, who found themselves and their reactor, cut apart by the corvette offensive. Their reactor detonated, slamming wreckage into the comparatively gargantuan FIV Predator. While the massive Resurgent-class destroyer shrugged off the damage, the poor corvettes wreckage was crushed by the advancing vessel. Rausgeber clenched his holographic teeth at the loss. This was not at all ideal.

"Fighters sir, coming in, at point, nine, dash seven." The Sensor Officer again reported. This time, the snarl was directed at the young man, who quivered in his seat at the sight. Fighters? Rausgeber was being told fighters were attacking. Had the sky turned red? Were these fighters the size of planetoids? Why was there a need to bother him, of all people with this. The servos within the Imperator's wrist ground, and whined, as fists were clenched, and his gaze darkened. The blood from the Sensor Officers face, seemed to magically seep from his face, leaving behind nought but a ghastly, almost bone white complexion. Even the stormtroopers who had assumed sentry to the rear of the deck winced, at the display, as all who witnessed this imminent storm, either buried themselves in their work, or tried not to be transfixed by the scenario playing out before them.

"Fighters do not concern me," Rausgeber bellowed, his rage palpable. The screen which acted as his face flickered wildly with static as the outburst continued. "Results do!" The Sensor Officer nodded, and licked his now moisture-less lips, his eyes not able to match Rausgebers, and his body quivering. "They will fall into the same trap all the foolhardy pilots do," The Grand Admiral postured, his tone became softer, but its toxicity remained, and clung to the air like acrid smoke. "Have Sabre command ensure they do not escape without a few martyrs," The droid snarkily ordered, "And I want an entire wing of fighters, to engage them, let us see how long it takes for them to realise their mistake."
