Elimination of the Graug Slaveyards [Republic vs. Vulcanus]

Strapped down in her seat next to the Bard, Kira expression was set to focus. A Lorrdian by birth, the young blond had a deep aversion to slavery of any kind. One of her other weak spots besides the younglings. Her jaw was set, her eyes boring a proverbial hole through the viewport at their destination.

Fingers went wiggling at the armrest, and she took a deep breath. She wasn't alone at least in this run. Although...

Turning her head towards the left, Kira caught sight of the pilot. Her finger went tapping against the armrest again before asking, "So what's your name again?"

tl;dr - Daella's ship is bombarding Graug Hordes.

As the battle began, Daella turned to @[member="Diana Moridena"]. She told Diana, “Go to the ground. I’ll handle the logistics of the mission from here.

Once those going to the ground had done so, Daella took a step toward the captain of the ship - Oreluos. He was a six foot tall blue Duros with over a decade of experience.

Master Apparine,” greeted the captain, “The Graug forces in space have been minimal so far. We’re ready to begin destroying the Graug’s military assets planetside.

Perform a bioscan of the planet,” commanded Daella.

Several minutes passed as the ship in space analyzed the surface.

Presenting the results to Daella verball, the Captain said, “The number of humanoid lifeforms on the planet far surpass the intelligence we had on the planet’s natives. You were right to say that the Graug migrated here.

Then, the Captain pulled up a holoscreen of a populated cavern of the Graug. Many non-Graug dressed in rags were presented to the sky - thrown off ledges - and brutally murdered by Graug forces.

They are executing the prisoners,” bluntly informed the Oreluos, “I don’t think we’ll be able to save many - if at all just one.

With wide eyes, Daella watched the summary execution of those @[member="Darth Vulcanus"] had abducted. Her jaw clenched.

Another scene appeared on the holoscreen. It showed one of the two Hordes that Darth Vulcanus sent to the surface. It was a sheet of constantly shifting dots - heavily concentrated. With the slaves in the area dead or dying, it just seemed to be a sea of Graug. The infrastructure surrounding this horde seemed to be mostly meant for military purposes as well as some of the slave factories.

Ready an orbital strike,” commanded the Captain, “Avoid concentrations of prisoners not yet executed.

Any objections, Master Jedi?” questioned Oreluos - seeking the advice of a Jedi Councilor.

After the Captain asked his question, Daella’s face slowly relaxed. She regained a stoic appearance as she looked at the footage of Krag’s horde. Then, she turned to the Captain.

Eliminate the enemy,” she said with a low voice.

The turbolasers and cannons on the starship that Daella was on lit up. Targeting computers calculated the compensations necessary for accurate shots - at least as accurate as artillery needed to be. Several seconds passed for the initial buildup of power to commence. Then, the first shots were fired.

A few seconds passed by before the first crimson bolt struck the Horde - which happened to be the very one that @[member="Darth Vulcanus"] looked upon in person. The first contingent to be destroyed were his Glycon Warbeasts - a threat that Captain Oreluos recognized. In fact, the subsequent shots of artillery blanketed the hill of snipers and troops. All orbital shots avoided the Republic’s forces by at least a quarter mile - which still cut it extremely close.

Captain Oreluos’s ship did not stop - nor would it in the current situation. For the moment, Darth Vulcanus himself was not anywhere close enough to be hit by the Republic’s orbital strikes. Yet, the concentration of fire slowly began to move from the hill toward the source of the Graug Horde - a process that would take some time.

Watching the holoscreen of the scene, Daella kept her cold blue eyes glued to the destruction. She clenched her fists and took a deep breath. She averted her eyes to the left for the moment - away from the Republic’s justice raining upon the Graug.

Diana watched the holoscreen with listless apprehension, she watched the people get slaughtered though her expression did not change any. She had known that such a think was possible, even likely given with who and what they were dealing with. A part of her broke slightly at the sight of the deaths, though another part was already steel made against it. When Daella ordered her to the planet Diana ignored her completely, there was no point now.

The Graug would be systematically eliminated by orbital bombardment, it would not have been her choice, but she saw the logic behind it. They were a cruel and vile species, like the Sith...not the followers of the darkside, but the Sith Species itself.

Diana knew the ancient histories better than most, she knew what the Jedi of old had done against the original evil. It didn't help her feel any less queasy about the idea, but she understood the thought behind it. The truth was it was really the only well, pragmatism quickly overtook feelings within her and Diana became hard as tungsten, her eyes becoming more focused, and her face hardening.

“I feel like I should be saying something momentous, Watching the death of a Species.” The tone of her voice was flat and unreadable, her words stringing out with a sort of deadness.Cold words, hard words, ones that should probably never have passed her lips, and yet they did anyway.

Talon had not seen Krag the now @[member="Darth Vulcanus"] for a long time and not yet in his current form. He had been an ugly mottled skinned beast roaming the academy halls when Talon knew him. How things had changed. He now walked in the light while Krag had become ea lord of the darkness. The bitter taste of death lingered in the force and Talon was sickened by it now. He sat as was proper in meditation as they drew near their objective though whether yhey would find anything alive remained a sad and desperate question.

He streched out with hia feelings and presence and looked to those around the fleet. Some burned for vengence, others longed to fight the Sith lord others wanted to free the slaves. It was growing sad to feel the lust for battle he had longed to leave behind in some of the young and impulsive as they hurried to end life. Even these Graug existed as a part of the force and every life taken aburptly was an injury to the sorce of all life. His presence moved through those near him and he offered calm to each in turn. He could not touch them all together he was not that strong in that talent but he could show they were not alone.

The threat to the younglings had made him think and he could not find a way to laugh at this one but calm and serenity he was managing.

He opened his emerald eyes and withdrew his presence back to normal. He lifted his lighysabers in the force and turned them in front of him he moved them apart with a split of his fingers then with the force he depressed the activation switches. The blue and green blades came to life and he turned them to crash together. It was his sincere hope that he would not have to see that happen again. He extinguished the blades and called them to his opened hands.

"May the force guide us this day." He said to him self as he finally stood. His brown robes and bare feet made sure he looked every bit the Jedi (for once) though the bare feet were kind of a cultural thing. It was time to go.

Her hand gripped the arm rest of the seat, turning her knuckles white. Her black eyes closed as she tried to maintain control. As the escort shuttle approached the ground, and began to take anti-air fire, her grip strengthened and sweat began to form on her forehead. It took all her strength of will not to launch herself to the cockpit of the shuttle to take control of the flying, just get us to ground...she yelled in her mind .. "This is why I hate flying", she said to no one but herself.

Coci felt the sense of calm projected by both Vexander and Rasu, but regardless of her state of mind and fear she blocked it. She needs the edge of the fear to keep alert in the situation and on the field of battle .. it keeps her sharp.

As the ramp hit the ground finally, she heard the battle charge of Vexander and immediately jumped to her feet. She indicated to the group of G.I.A agents, all of which are trained in infiltration, under her command, to be ready to deploy. Their objective is to infiltrate the factories and destroy it along side the Jedi. As the Jedi and Republic Troops existed the ship, Coci followed and veered off to the left followed by her unit. Her weapons at the ready, blasters, pistols, over her shoulder hung The White Mouse, if required .. however in her hand her purple bladed light saber.

TL:DR: Created Force Wraiths on Daella's ship

Krag hissed under his breath as the clouds of smoke and ash from the orbital bombardments washed over him and slowly settled across the battlefield. The explosions were taking out his present artillery and his snipers had been all but decimated, luckily some of his forces were still moving but it was doubtful that many would make it close enough to the enemy to actually engage in combat. This was not good, the Graug had but two Star Destroyers in orbit and they weren't even finished crossing to the other side of the planet to engage the Republic forces, they needed help. Krag turned to the Horde Master beside him, the same one from the hollows who had been assisting in the coordination of the Graug forces, "Send a message to @[member="Darth Vornskr"], tell him we need a fleet." It was not like Krag to call for assistance, but even a brute like him could realize when things were not in his favor.

"Yes, warlord. Should we recall the forces into the hallows?" the Horde Master asked, his eyes turning back to the battle at hand

"There will be no retreat. The Slave Yards are on the surface and I will not lose my masterpiece to these Jedi dogs, I shall deal with these ships myself." Vulcanus growled, taking a few steps back and closing his eyes. Slowly the battle around Vulcanus began to fade into non-existence as he struggled to boost his below average sensing abilities through the heavy darkside taint of the planet. Everything was scrambled at first, death was everywhere and the orbital bombarding of his forces did not help that fact. He could feel the multiple Jedi down below the mountains and the Jedi who had landed near his forces. Vulcanus gritted his teeth as he struggled to look beyond the battle...stars...and ships, yes he could see the ships. They were Republic, at least he thought they were....and a lightside presence, yes that meant he was indeed seeing Republic ships. Krag forced his focus on one of the ships, he wasn't sure if it was the correct ship but nothing ventured nothing gained.

Krag took a deep breath and let his anger, hate and lust take complete hold of him. Usually such a thing would send him into a blood rage, but since he learned the ways of creating force wraiths he could now control it into creating pure manifestations of darkness. The beasts would act independently, but with Krag controlling them they would be able to use the full extent of his pyrokinetic powers. However, while he maintained a direct control over the wraiths he would suffer his own faults. Slowly the darkside began to collect in mass near the bridge of the ship that was, unknown to Vulcanus, the ship of Daella. The Jedi on board would begin to feel a literal coldness as the demonic figures formed on the bridge and the irrefutable presence of death would overcome them, as if the wraiths were walking darkside nexuses. Krag's senses became clearer as these extensions of his own body formed.

Daella and anyone present with her would witness a portal of shadows and darkness appear within the bridge before a spurt of force flames gave birth to two of Krag's purely evil creations. The figure's bodies were stretched like serpents and below their "waists" were only clouds of ash and fire, making them appear to be floating within a cloud of ash rather than walking on feet. Each creature stood a total of 1.9 meters and their hisses were like that of a other worldly demon that could not possibly exist in the galaxy. Focusing on his creations, Krag could visualize both of his opponents and his senses had heightened as thanks to their presence. Krag used his connection to both of the fiery demons to speak through them

"You should have never come to this place, Jedi" the beasts hissed in perfect unison, "You will die!"

I will be playing the Wraiths like PCs as they are an extension of Krag)

This time Diana actually managed to look startled as the demons appeared before the two Jedi, though only her eyes widened slightly. This was something that even she had not seen before, though she could tell that they were a manifestation of the darkside. Her eyes narrowed slightly at the hissing beasts, and for a moment her senses rolled out confirming her suspicions. The things were entirely composed of the darkside, perhaps they were even a nexus for the darker side of the force.

Well, that was too bad really for whoever had created these things.

She sighed for a brief moment, then turned to regard one of the creatures. Her eyes shifted for only the briefest second, and then she raised her palm. Beneath the iron-skin that covered her entire body and the plates of armor her skin began to give off a soft almost blue glow. Diana's face took on a stern appearance and then a wave of blinding, withering powerful light erupted from her palm.

The beam shifted itself forward in a rolling wave, covering everything before her. Anything and everything that had ever touched the darkside, or was made of it would almost certainly be completely and entirely obliterated.

(Quickest...fight....ever)

Krag roared in a sudden fit of rage as his wraiths were decimated by the blinding power of the the Force Light. So, he was correct in his assumption that the Jedi had brought powerful lightsiders with them. Taking a step back, Krag looked about the battlefield and took notice of a familiar face moving through the crowds of Graug the surrounded the mountain (@[member="Antares Windu"]). Vulcanus chuckled deeply as the man moved through the crowed, charging a scorching ball of force manifested magma in his hand and throwing it in his direction.

"Rel Connory," he tossed over his shoulder, "junior Senator from Eshan, yo. There's...well, there's some that know me as the Bard of the Hyperlanes. If you've ever been in a cantina and heard a four-line drivel stanza that makes fun of someone important and sounds better drunk, odds are I wrote it..."

His good mood faded utterly as a harsh side light came into the little ship's bridge. Still steering for the Slave Yards, he grimaced and shaded his eyes. Air turbulence buffeted the Jo'henry.

"Better strap in. Looks like the Republic has decided to kill errything. Base Delta Zero on the army out there. Dear feth, that's no way to die."

Arms holding her up, Aika leaned against the back of the seat of the blonde woman, a heavy sigh escaping her lips. One would think that, in this day and age, slavery in the galaxy wouldn't exist. It should be a thing of the past, and something that never sees the light of day again. However, some will always choose to do things their own way. That is one reason why she was more than happy to come along. Even if she couldn't put and end to it all, putting a dent in the number of being under captivity was enough to stir her interest. Among other things.

"Well, your pretty riled up. Is that anger I feel?.. How...delicious.'

Ignoring the voice, her gaze moved to pilot with the odd title. "Bard of the Hyperlanes? Don't tell me you sing.."

"Any other day, I'd sing you a tune to make angels weep. But just look at that." He gestured out the window sombrely, at the gigantic firestorm where orbital bombardment was turning the desert to a sea of glass -- and the Graug legions, millions of souls, to ash. "We're watchin' the death of a species. Ain't my place right now to say if it's necessary, but this ain't a moment for singin', no ma'am."

Her head didn't move. Her eyes didn't budge. Aika refused to bear witness to the planetary bombardment. Then again, it wasn't like she needed to, nor did she need him to describe the gruesome thought to her. She could sense it, could feel it. Beings crying out as their lives were brought to an abrupt end. Desperately, she wanted to purge the thought from her mind. However, she couldn't help but wonder if Kira was sensing the same thing. And if she was, was she feeling it as strongly as she was? "I'd rather not watch. It's not exactly a thing that warms my heart, if you understand what I mean."

"Ah, but it's so pretty. How often do you get to watch the extermination of an entire species? It's a once in a lifetime thing..."

Her eyes shifted to glace behind her, as if a physical being was standing right there. "Shut up. I've had enough out of you..", she mumbled under her breath.

Sabarene Orbit

When @[member="Diana Moridena"] spoke up, Daella shifted her eyes to her for a moment. She gave a steady, silent stare.

Before Daella could give a reply, two Force Wraiths appeared behind them - beings of @[member="Darth Vulcanus"]’s conjuring. Just as how Diana reacted with little hesitation, Daella sprung to action. She drew her yellow-bladed lightsaber in her right hand. As the beasts spoke, Daella rushed at the one that Diana did not attack. Daella bisected the Wraith with a horizontal slash of her lightsaber. The conjuration disappeared shortly after.

Thank you,” exclaimed Oreluos. The Republic ship continued to attack the Graug army on the ground - aiming to suppress the bulk of the forces as well as obliterate Graug’s resources. With Vulcanus going forth to engage the Republic forces himself, he would be safe from orbital strikes as the Republic starships were attempting to avoid friendly fire.

Then, the captain informed Daella, "We're getting word of Vulcanus's presence on the surface and approximate location, Master Jedis."

Deactivating her lightsaber, Daella turned to Diana and insisted once again, “You are better suited on the ground - as this force's sword. If more of these appear, I’ll be able to ward them away.

Heading Towards the Ground
@[member="Daella Apparine"] @[member="Darth Vulcanus"]
Diana frowned slightly at her bladesister and she considered her words. After a few minutes she simply nodded however in answer to Daella's suggestion. She was not suited for space it was true, and perhaps on the ground she would be able to find the leader of this rabble of aliens. She considered the bridge for a second, regarding the space where the wraiths had just stood, then she simply walked off without another word.

Before she reached the edge of the bridge however she stopped.

“Try not to bombard me while i'm down there.” She was half joking, and half serious. She did not want to die by orbital bombardment, she didn't want to die in general but that was probably her least favorite way. Before long Diana stood within the belly of a small gunship heading towards the ground of the planet below.

It would be a quick journey, and when she got there she had no doubt she would find her opponent.

Headed Ground

Sopher hated space travel, he usually got sick to his stomach if he remained on board a cruiser for too long. When he got the moment he quickly headed to the surface of the planet. Remaining quiet, he centered himself in meditation. Finally arriving to the surface of the planet it gave himself a bit of a stretch he fiddled making sure his lightsabers were turned from stun to kill. Sopher reached up to his ear and radioed in to @[member="Diana Moridena"].

"On ground awaiting orders" To the point, he would follow until he needed to act on his own.

The whole wave of Jedi Forces headed towards the factories of the Graug Force were met with heavy resistance, luckly, it didn't take long for the ships above to bombard the area that was causing the delay on the advance.

Without the indirect fire and sniper rifles aiming at the Jedi, the team had to take care of the rest of the troops and at least open a path to the factories.

Vexander, along his apprentince Drake Blackwood and several others were already pushing forward. Swinging his lightsaber with fantastic precision and surgical accuracy. Through the Force however, he could feel the known presence of a sentient being, and inmediately he turned around to find who he was looking for. Seeing that, in the middle of the battle he would have a hard time finding her... he proceeded to send a telepathic message that he knew Coci Sinopi would hear Take care love

He didn't wait for a reply... unfortunately, there was no time... the team began to approach closer and closer to the factories. Sweat ran through Vex's body as he used all his concentration in the battle at hand. A graug approached him with vicious intent, however; the young man wasn't even allowing them to get closer, with his skills with telekinesis he usually Force Pushed them away and threw his lightsaber at several targets and it would bounce to each one of them.

Knowing that as they got closer to the factories, they would encounter resistance with perhaps turrents, he proceeded to order the heavy troopers to target the nearby defenses.

"Concentrate Fire Power on the Turrents! Give some room for our infiltrators!"

Kira strapped herself in as suggested by Rel. Normally, she'd come up with an adequate nicknames to give him, like Doc Who, but right now wasn't the time for jokes. Even Kira had her limits.

Her lips were a straight line as she saw the onslaught of orbital bombardment upon the planet. "Makes you wonder..." she began, "Just where the line is." she said quietly, mulling more to herself.

"What justifies the rise of force against an enemy?" she said, thinking to herself. "Now a days.... it seems like it is all a blur."

Vulpesen watched as @[member="Darth Vulcanus"] appeared, seeing his eyes as they fell upon @[member="Antares Windu"]. Normally he would be offended at being so easlily ignored, but with hid job a s a shadow, he supposed that this was a blessing in disguise. "Dashing through the crowd of Graug, Vulpesen's sabers danced before him, slashing through anyone who got in his way. Any graug that managed to avoid being killed would be skillfully avoided as the jedi made his way to the leader. Just a little more! His tactics relied on Windu's distraction and thus he was doing his best to keep silent and stealthy, using the force to hide himself from notice as he continued his charge.

Coruscant
The Graug had been hunted down. A'donari had refused to stop until all known Graug sightings had been a shut case. Minor amounts of causalities were reported throughout the weeks after. Each soul had been thought of before he allowed them to be released from his mind. Most individuals would already have forgotten. For him seeing the faces connected him to why he was still a Jedi. Why the force influenced him each and everyday.

The call had been given and answering was the next step. It was what had brought him to this moment. Sitting on a ship with two fellow force manipulators and a fascinatingly cheery fellow piloting for them and doing a damn good job. A bright light resonating in the force hit the windows. A sharp inhale hit his lips while the feeling passed into his chest. It was pure and strong. His connection to the force resonated deeper than before. His eyes opened again to a completely knew feeling that touched him from miles away. Pain, sorrow, Fear. "Slaughter." Looking to the others closer to the cockpit and speaking quicker, "They're being slaughtered." A'donari stood and walked to the opening hatch pulling the door open feeling the punch of the wind in his face. His grip on a handle to his right kept him in place; luckily. He hadn't fully felt the pressure for his mind was dropping into the force trying to connect himself to the minds of the slaves they were trying to reach and save. Blood was now running from both nostrils at a steady pace back across his cheeks due to the wind. Could he say that the decision to move into the wind was his, never. The force needed a true element to move through and had found it. He faced the open world with blind eyes reaching for the feelings over the distance of the beings sending out the emotions. The light that burned within him resonated deeper and deeper through pulsing amplification through the elemental connection. They're arrival hadn't come yet and therefore their help was unavailable. The slaves still needed them. If they must die each and every one of them deserved a moments peace after a life in pain. A touch was felt. Followed by consumption. The Knight allowed his own emotions to replace those of the slaves though it came at a price. Tears began to flow from his eyes and his mouth opened gaping wide while gasping from pain. Each and every slaves fear, pain, and sadness was now his. Their minds took to the peace he basked in day in and day out. He was giving them everything. The depth of the emotions were almost more than he could take. The amount of time he could hold the connection was unknown but very limited.

Antares spun around a graug, no time to waste and he left it behind him. He was dodging and avoiding graug at every point. That was until his shield came up and his movements halted him. Whatever hit his shield stunned him, but he kept going a few moments later. He couldn't be stopped here.

Lightsaber in hand, shield in the other, Antares charged at @[member="Darth Vulcanus"]. He waited until he was at the base of the incline before leaping up with the backing of the force. The shield covered his body while he came down upon the Dark Lord of the sith. The Forced weaved a minor shield around him, while the blue beam was extended out to thrus at the Sith.
