SPECIAL FEATURES
- The main purpose of the armor is to Efface, reduce to insignificance, the presence of the wearer. How this works is the application of a Taozin Lacquer, and connection to Nighthunter/Maalraas Leathered hide, to make identification of the individual nearly impossible. This prevents Force Users from sensing who is within the armor. When attempting to Sense them, they would be unable to sense the following; Emotional aptitude, Physical identity, and power of the individual. The basis would be, sensing a presence is there, but cannot determine what it really is through the force alone. However, the application of such, does not prevent tracking or sensory abilities. They are not “Gone” just merely unable to be identified. This can also be completely bypassed should a Telepathic connection be made. This could be considered a Watered down “Force Void” effect.
- A Secondary Effect of this application, adding Drexl and Maalraas body parts that are enveloped into the armor, make it so that physically standing in front of the individual would prevent them from identifying them as well. Namely acting as a camouflage within the force itself. Looking at the wearer’s face should they not wear a helmet, or attempting to pierce their mind to figure out who they are would result in only seeing “shadows” or a blurred image. One can clearly see that “something” is there but wouldn’t be able to determine who or what they are. This however relies on the mental fortitude of the individuals in question,
- A secondary unique effect of the composition of the materials used, is a “Cooling” and a “hatred” of the armor. The Wielder of the armor can dig into either side of the spectrum of the force. Centering their mental facilities to be calm, composed, and analytical, or dig into the hatred and anger. Empowering them within the force to become a destructive force of nature.
- As like any kind of Alchemy Altered Metal, it has a natural Lightning Rod effect. However, as it is armor, and the materials are not grounded, The armor will attract electrical currents, EMP and even Lighting based abilities through the force. Should an individual be well versed in manipulating those things, can “absorb” that energy to amplify their own, or to empower themselves.

- Due to application of a Lacquer, damage to the armor can remove the application over time. Removing the lacquer via damage can lessen and remove the effect until more is reapplied.
- Lightning Rod for Electrical currents. Wearers must be able to affect them or otherwise just get shocked every time.
- Telepathy, or a “mental battle” can bypass the effects dependent upon the wearer and foe in question.
- Force Nullification, or reduction of the Force can temporarily remove the effects provided. Essentially just being pretty good armor.
- Force Corruption and Force Purification Effects can still affect the wearer. As application of Force-Imbued materials, and Sith Alchemy negate one another.
DESCRIPTION
During the time of the Sith Empire, under the rule of Darth Mordin, Ashin Varanin and Darren Shaw forged and brought forth the process of creating an aspect of Alchemy that take inspiration from multiple powers, abilities and applications of the Force. Namely, A void of the force, as well as the application of a Taozin Amulet to hide the presence of the wearer of armor.
However, due to the blurred and mind distraction effects of the Amulet upon the wearer, making it difficult for some force sensitives from using their own sensory based powers, a “double blind” effect. Ashin invented the idea to alter how it applies such effects. Instead of hiding completely, one would just be extremely obscured in the force. Application of a Lacquer over the plates and cloth of the armor would allow the wearer to appear as just a “blank canvas” within the force. Some have stated the individual appears like a “shadow” or a “shade” when attempting to sense them through the force. Making it difficult to discern who, and how powerful the individual is.
The armor that was created for Darren, the application of it, as well as the written life of the man, has been documented with great detail. However, some specifics of what was done and how it was actually accomplished was never realized within the tomes and inquiries of Darren Shaw. As such, Delsin being the inheritor of Darrens estate, allows him to be able to study all of his fathers life. Including the armor that the man had once worn.
Delsin delved into the deepest secrets of his father’s life. Attempting to re-engineer how the application was done. How the armor was forged and formed to be in such a form. Studing the application of Taozin amulets, The unique sensory and camouflage abilities of other creatures, and thus formed his own interpretation of what Contempt armor would be. Adding applications of not just blurring the individual through the force, but also through visual stimulation. Delsin has stated in his own works, that this application is heavily derived from a Force Void, or Force Dead individual. Where one could still potentially sense them, but be unable to remember, identify and ascertain who they are.
However, the limitations of the force have presented some side-effects. Becoming a Lightning rod for electrical bursts, Lightning force powers and even some limited form of Ionic weapons. Thus should the wielder not be able to fight off the effects of such weaponry in another application, the wearer would easily become electrified. Some other limitations as with being any kind of Force Related artifact, means that removing the force, or limiting one's connection to it, would remove any effects that persist with the armor. Thus making it act as if it was just good plate armor.
