Danger, Will Robinson

State of emergency: Corporatism had threatened the Republic to trigger all of this. Garter was relocated and investigations into the dealings of Spaarti would be initiated, though there would not be much change to the order of things besides a jumbling of management. The clone armies had been provided free of charge as any good Republic citizen would have done for the war effort.

This was no Techno Union. This was a Repulic--working together for the sake of the nation in times of need. Sadly, such values had been lacking for the majority of the past decade. And so Geneviève ordered what she must.

Arceneau Trade Company (and all subsidiaries, including but not limited to: Browncoat Arms & Industrial, Haven Shipyards, and Mara TibX & Fuels) would be seized within hours, small segments of the fleets concentrated in interception and blockade sectors (particularly concentrated around Brentaal IV, though there were some offices and distribution centers found scattered across the Republic worlds) to nab any attempts at escape or to pick up jettisoned technology while ground forces swept into the physical locations. Perhaps there was not much established by the monstrous corporation within Republic territory, but it helped send a message that they were going to have none of that galaxy-spanning corruption.

The mines and production facilities of those companies who abandoned--the likes of Tenloss--were immediately secured by Republic forces and evaluated for recovery to save funds and manpower. They would be refurbished and reopened soon enough to the public workforce and actually put to use, unlike the products that most assuredly sat in factories for years waiting to be purchased because the owner expected all assets to be in high demand because of a single tank so highly touted by self-same owner who, though he may not have been known to be criminal, was criminal enough to have shuttled the Republic into its initial state of decay.

ECHO Esprit was consolidated and integrated into various institutions of the medical and wartime arts. It would not do to have a hypocrite running a business for profit in a revamped infrastructure. Future charge of operations were handed off to a certain albino, however.

Those companies faithful to the Republic's vitality were left alone, but reevaluations were to be made at frequent intervals.

Popo

I'm Sexy and I Know It
Popo glanced over reports of the Republic's recent state of emergency and shrugged to himself. Tenloss owned no facilities or factories within Republic borders, even before their loss of territory. He had set up a small mining facility on Roche, true, but such was heavily guarded and if Republic forces attempted to seize it by force, they'd meet heavy resistance from Tenloss' elite security troops. If that failed, they looked at retaliation by both Tenloss, the Cartel, and potentially even the Galactic Alliance and those factions being supplied with the powered armor Tenloss used the phrik for.

In the end, though, it mattered not at all. The damage done to Tenloss was insignificantly minor, if not non-existant, and Popo sat back and waited to see if the Republic would actually make good on their threats to attack his tiny little asteroid mines. All in all, if it got very bad, he knew one person who could send the entire Republic navy whimpering into the distance within an hour or two.

Just in case, Popo opened up his contact lists with a shrug and skimmed through the names. He pulled up the L's and found the exact Mandalorian he was looking for. He tucked the name into his commlink and sat back.

Now it was time to see if someone was brutally stupid enough to attack a company that had paved the road of its success with the bones of fools such as who ran the republic currently.

(OOC: Would have appreciated a tag, but that's fine, I'm easy and you probably either forgot or figured I was keeping tabs on things. You want a corporate war, you got one. I'll wait for you to strike the first blow and try to back up what you claim happens in this thread, but remember, I have contacts, tech, and friends with rocks. You have propaganda.)

Ayden sat back as he watched the dominoes begin to fall. Other corporations had begun to follow suit. But he never could have imagined what the Republic's response would be. Seizing of corporate assets, especially those of a neutral corporation like Arceneau Trade Company. He sat back and drank from old Corellian stock. Oh, he knew what provoking Danger could be like. He very nearly had started a war with her company. But then again, Ayden did not have the audacity to seize ATC assets like the Republic just had.

Ayden prided himself on thinking up all contingencies, all possibilities. But what the Republic had just done... If there had been any moderate corporations that had doubted Corellian Engineering's severance with the Republic, then that just went out the window. There were few corporations as massive and as well loved as Arceneau Trade Company, and the Republic had just declared war on them. He punched up a familiar comm code and sent a message to [member="Danger Arceneau"] while beginning to compile a secondary list of objectives and orders.

Any and almost all of those who might think of infringing on any Akure Executive grounds would readily find Qo'saarai tuk'ata and other mercenaries, armed to the teeth as guards, along with Alchemist, Sorcerers, and other Force Adepts in charge of the creation of it's products. On top of that there would be aspects of Akure Executives' quite substantial corporate fleet which likely could match most of what the battered Republic could muster on its' best day on its' own worst day, and in the more important areas, nastier things like terentatek and other beasts and surprises. Sometimes Ostanes got bored and went to the biology labs and played with things until the screams were the right pitch.

One did not climb so high on the food-chain to merely lay down and roll over when a tax-collector came knocking, after all. If the Republic wanted to try and divert enough of it's overtaxed and dwindling resources from the fight with the One Sith to overcome anything that they may be targeting of his, they were welcome to, of course. That would likely not go over terribly well at all for them really, but... Well... When you decided to beat your chest and play with the big boys, sometimes they pushed you off the slide and showed you it was their playground. And if the Republic thought they deserved recompense for the breaking of the contract, even though there were no terms to that end he could find... Or else he would have met them along with the severance....Well... A simple letter and he would be happy to talk with them..

But after all, Akure hadn't seized anything from anyone. They were more than welcome to what they had left of the supply. And the contract was open to being resigned, provided of course they met pre-requisite conditions. Honestly, the Republic was shrinking and dying so fast, he wasn't sure if any of the companies worthwhile assets were really within Republic borders, but if any were, he sent out a general alert to all facilities to double guard strength, crack down mercilessly on security, and to shoot without question and on-sight any Republic representative that attempted to so much as sneeze or fart on company property without asking first. Whether or not they were in Republic space.

That done, he lounged back in his chair and idly took a nail file to his fingernails, sighing in boredom, before keying channels to ATC and Tenloss, both of whom were business partners in the past here and there. It would do him good to reform those relationships. As well Corellian Engineering was contacted with the same missive... Nothing like arguably one of the Galaxies most reliable shipyards in your corner if you needed a special product or such made.

Besides, if whatever rabid demagouge running the Republic was incompetent enough to try and seize Tenloss assets was calling the shots in this little adventure got a wild hair up their hindquarters to assault his assets, it wouldn't hurt to have friends in his corner. Plus, if they were taking on Corellian Engineering and the ATC? They were either buying into their own propaganda, or just not very wise in the first place when it came to an honest evaluation of their capabilities. So he sent the message, not that he was incapable of dealing with all but the most concentrated of GAR efforts on his own, but still... Maybe this could lead to a few contracts and new ventures?

"Friends - It appears we have someone throwing a tantrum over in Republic space about us exercising our rights over our property. I'm not aware of anything of too much value of Akure's in their lands, but I doubled guards and did the usual... If you need any assets to help you in this little scuffle... Well I have a large fleet just being brought out of maintenance and repair... As well as, I suspect in the coming days and weeks I will have no small amount of defectors from the GAR... And well, I am rather bored at current, so I wouldn't mind playing with the little children whilst we discuss more adult problems. For instance, I need reliable access to Atrisian farmed rice! I am enamored with this 'sahkee' or 'saikay' of theirs, but I would rather make my own!

As an aside at the last moment, Ostanes included the head of Incom, remembering AEI had some ties to them over a fighter project in the past. Might as well get the whole damned band back together...

Rygel Larraq groaned awake from his hangover long enough to listen to the voices of concern that whispered in his ear.

The Republic, copying from the One Sith's playbook, had begun seizing corporate assets from the likes of ATC and Tenloss. Closing his eyes and leaning his head back upon the floor that he was, apparently, sleeping upon, Larraq issued a short and simple order. "Extract the dozen Ja'haatir Ewar Frigates that we had on loan to the Republic. Send [member="Naast'ika Laaran"], a few squadrons of Rekali-class Space Superiority Fighters, and whatever else is needed to get the ships safely back to Mandalorian Territories."

The ships had been on loan to the Republic for quite a while now, as part of an arrangement he had made with the previous Supreme Chancellor, [member="Popo"]. He had been perfectly happy to leave the top of the line Electronic Warfare Frigates in the hands of the Republic in exchange for unrestricted mining rights to Roche, as per the agreement he had made with Popo. But he had no intention of allowing some trumped up Republic Politician to put his assets at risk in a desperate act of idiocy.

Unfortunately for the Republic, however, the Mandalorian Clans had lost their supply of Phrik when they lost Wayland to the Primeval. Which made Larraq's contract with the Republic the sole provider of Phrik for the entire Mandalorian people. "Contact the Alor Council and my sister." Larraq ordered as he begrudgingly opened his eyes and stared into the florescent ceiling. "Tell them our mining rights at Roche are at risk. Hyperion Security and Clan Dem'adas Navy will be moving in to secure our assets from Republic aggression. If the Republic drops a fleet on Roche, we move on the system."

For decades, Lussk Logistics had been a staunch member of the Republic's corporate backdrop. While it never made headlines, was viewed by many as just an offshoot of the far more popular corporations, it was fairly successful in its own fiscal dealings. They paid their taxes, handled their own transportation and production as a responsible company should've done. But what the galaxy never knew would never hurt them - until now.

Lussk Logistics had been based on Balmorra for nearly thirty years now. It wasn't public knowledge that the former Emperor of the Sith Empire owned both land and stock in Republic space, so nobody in the galaxy ever cared to look. For years Lussk Logistics had been churning out war droids, battleships, weaponry, and a myriad of other violent and cost-effective merchandise and supplying them to enemies of the state.

But when this Prime Minister's dealings surfaced, Darth Arcis took great care and measure to ensure his financial dealings were left relatively untouched. Some assets had been seized by the Galactic Republic though the majority of the facilities had been demolished or relocated. To where? Nobody knew.

And quietly they went into the night.

"These people, the ones in the Republic..." Gerion scoffed as he made his way through the winding corridors of Hegemonic Automaton's headquarters. "They must want to have a bad time. Is that it? The Sith are at their throats. They've failed time and time again to defend themselves and so... They steal from private interests? Is that not a recipe for a bad time?"

"Ludicrous, sir." Said the assistant droid. It was, naturally, only programmed to agree.

Otherwise it would have pointed out that it was a predictable response. A corporation had apparently attempted a coup. Now the government was going into some sort of knee-jerk mode and aggressing one of the largest corporate juggernauts in the galaxy. The Umbaran was right about one thing: this was ultimately going to result in a bad time. A bad time for the Republic, a bad time for any corporations that got involved... A generally bad time. Pants would be unzipped. Measuring contests would commence. At the end of the day, the biggest losers would be the small-timers who got caught in the middle. Innocent civilians, otherwise known as the proletariat as far as the Republic was concerned. Whether their bad time came from a ripple-effect economic depression or a wayward turbolaser blast was yet to be determined.

It was just going to be a bad time, one way or another. There was no stopping it now. [member="Danger Arceneau"] had many allies in many places and they would all want in on the ensuing action. Gerion was no different. This ball was rolling, and all Z1-33396271 could do was follow along for the ride.

Ms. Arceneau,

I had long suspected the selectivst menace had infiltrated the uppermost echelons of Republic government. I did not suspect they would ever take such a brazen action. I trust your response to these barbarians will be forthcoming, whether it be a diplomatic approach or otherwise. In either event, you have my utmost assurance that Hegemonic Automaton will be at your disposal.

With all due respect,

Sadly, most companies overestimated the strength of their undocumented 'elite' forces in the face of truly elite, documented classes of clone troopers, and underestimated the Republic's access to precious materials--such as phrik ore that could be found on Alderaan. For individual companies to have the ability to go up against an entire government was absurd. And even if struggles were put up, fleet bombardments could take care of that with a snap of a finger.

There was plenty of technology in the Republic's pockets, besides. This would be proven presently.

Lasedri leaned back and watched the multiplying reports of successfully seized assets.

Arceneau Trade Station | Salacia Consolidated
Twelve XQ2 Platform Stations
Defensive Fleet - 3 Maladi Ships

The floating stations would be a strand of silent glittering jewels. These were the stations Danger Arceneau and [member="Judah Dashiell"] had worked together to renovate and create a new venture in green technology and a burst in trade. Danger herself was working with Senator [member="Ordon Trozky"] to expand on Brentaal 's trade, and things seemed to be going according to plan.

At least until the Prime Minister [member="Geneviève Lasedri"]'s current regime went for a more Selectivist mode. Arceneau Trade company after all, had mines in cortosis, phrik, and rare precious metals outside of Republic Territory, if the seizing of these assets were successful, it would do little in terms of harming Arceneau Trade. Not with other eight major headquarters to run.

The first few holomessages came in with plenty of warning. There wasn't such a large network of business entities and cyberhacks that would make the Republic's bold move proceed without warning...

When the call came in that they were moving to seize assets, well..

All defensive systems on the trade stations to include the small merchant fleet went online to defend it, evacuation procedures would ensue to safe as much as they could and prevent casualties.

By then, a series of comm calls would go straight to the Queen of Trade herself.

Tangled in Alric's arms, Dangeruese Rose Arceneau was really having the time of her life. For once, she was putting herself first and not the company. Not the legacy which her grandfather had worked hard for.

No for once, this was about her and her alone. About finally being with the man she loves and simply.. being. That's all a woman really wanted in the end. To feel safe, loved, and desired. To have that companionship. She had found that with [member="Alric Kuhn"] now, granted it took almost five decades to finally settle on her priorities in life.

It was for this reason she had stepped down from her Executive Seat at the Techno Union. Why she was slowly moving the responsibilities of day to day business life over to Aery, Six, and Alisha'ven.

The Republic's timing to decide to seize Arceneau Trade Assets was... well.. bad indeed.

See, Danger with Arceneau Trade was all about neutrality. She never picked sides. She ensured that. Much as she wouldn't have picked sides in the Republic's current dealings. All she did was offer freighter and trade services for those members of the Southern Systems Business Bazaar. She was a connection, a woman of influence, and she was the one to call to help smooth things over.

Biting the hand that feeds you when it comes to Danger Arceneau was not smart indeed.

The Queen of Trade had made several friends in her tenure. Those who have lived the trade of reciprocity and mutual respect.

Friends with heavy hands and a few favors to call in.

Considering that, in actuality, the fleet of Akure Executive Interstellar was quite well documented, this didn't worry Ostanes in the slightest. All the hand-wavium flooding the stock-market from some prospector out on the Fringe who thought he'd be the latest person to make it rich off space-age pyrite/fools gold did, but that was merely because he had intended to corner that market and make commemorative replicas, with training level functions, of famous lightsabers from it. It was worth less than dirt, really. He merely sent a quick wave to [member="Captain Larraq"] , since he assumed [member="Popo"] would be synching up with the grouchy caff addict.

"Msr. Ryqel Larraq -

I will admit, though we have a vast naval asset for Akure, none of our commanders (while competent) do have your resume... I am sending an asset listing of Akure Executive Interstellars current corporate fleet at this time. Should you require any of these vessels, they are free to lease to you, coming fully crewed, or able to be crewed by your own select personnel... As well, we really should meet over drinks... Arceneau Trade Company | Salacia Consolidated

Judah was normally a relatively laid-back person. It took a great deal to ruffle his feathers. This brand of stupidity however was causing his blood pressure to soar. Salacia Consolidated employees had been woken from their beds in the middle of the night, high-ranking members of the company filing in the conference room in various states of dress. Most had on pajamas or night clothes, others looked as if they just stepped out of the finest eateries and clubs Ceto had to offer.

"We've received word from Arceneau Trade Company that [member="Geneviève Lasedri"] and the Republic are seizing assets. Privately controlled assets that were bought and paid for fairly. As everyone knows we've been working on Brentaal IV project for some time, plans to turn it into our own research and development facility."

Sleepy nods went around the room, murmuring a few words to the associate next to them.

"We didn't pour millions of credits into their government to let it be seized. First thing is first, send a message to [member="Danger Arceneau"] and [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"] . One of you pry Kerrigan away from her harem long enough to mobilize their forces. Secondly, lets get our salvage crews there on the double."

"We're either going to tow these two stations back to another territory or dismantle them piece by piece. Melt it for scrap. Salacia Consolidated is not going to stand for the destruction of private property."

Miss Arceneau,

I wish this message found you in better circumstances. I've sent salvage crews out in an attempt to wrangle a station or three back from the grip of the suddenly greedy Republic. Salacia will be working around the clock until some resolution is found. Crews will keep ATC updated on what stations we recapture, if any.

Popo glanced at another report, this one from Roche. As the Republic leader had failed to lead troops herself or assign an actual commander to oversee any actual takeover of any assets, things had played out as expected even though Tenloss was seemingly a company facing the supposed indomitable might of the United Soviet Socialist States of the Republic.

+++++++++++++++++++++++

To: Popo, CEO of Tenloss
From: Security Team Leader, Roche Asteroid Mining Facility

Republic fleet attempted assault of Roche Asteroid Mining Facility. Attacked with Republic ships and landed Republic troops to assault facility. Footage added to message for your review.

Republic ships pushed forwards, expecting little resistance. Tenloss security fleet used maneuver tactics to flank and hit and run, damaging most republic vessels and leaving a small number inoperable. Republic dropships landed and attempted to assault facility. Republic troops breached three points under fire and gained entry to the facility where Tenloss security troops engaged in close quarters fighting. Republic forces were pushed out of the facility and forced to withdraw. Tenloss ships fired on Republic vessels during the engagement, but ceased fire as Republic ships collected the remains of their assaulting forces and withdrew from the system. Naval Security leader requested to persue, but was denied. I felt that would look bad for business and ordered retreating Republic fleet was to leave unmolested. Republic dead were appropriately gathered and bagged before returning the bodies to Chazwa via independent and neutral third party using Tenloss funding. Derelict Republic ships have been pulled aside for salvage, materials sent to Bajic. Approximate casualties listed in percentages below:

Tenloss Naval Security: 8% casualties
Tenloss Station Security: 14% casualties
Republic Naval Fleet: 26% casualties
Republic Assault Force: 74% casualties

Requesting additional troops, ships, munitions, and supplies in the attached note to this message.

Mister Cater, I thank you for your support. Seems that the Republic decided to poke the sleeping bear... and with it will come notable consequences and considerations.

I've learned from the televised holonews prior to the cut off that Spaarti was behind this endeavor; with their clone army. I aim to strike at that clone army and their production facilities asap.

I am planning a meeting for all corporate entities to gather to move forward as a united front. More information will be sent soon.

Mistah Popo,

It is with no small amount of gratefulness that I am pleased to hear of your support. You have mine as well with the audacity the Prime Minister and the Republic dare show.

I am deploying my defensive fleet within that sector, as well as calling on other friends. We must unite together in this. I am planning meeting for all corporate entities to gather as a united front.

You'll hear from me soon.

Thank you so much for your support. I truly have no words at the audacity of the Prime Minister and the Republic. I am planning a meeting to work as a united front against such an unwarranted act.

Clones... of all things. They have nothing compared to the streamlined efficiency of your droids, Gerion.

The Republic and Spaarti Creations will learn that.

As she promised, Danger would soon send missives to every Corporation and affiliate. The message contained the following.

Ladies and Gentlebeings,

I wish that this would have been sent with different news, but in the wake of the Tholatin incident, and the unprovoked seizures of independent companies within Republic space, I implore you to please stand together.

Right now, I have deployed several of my security forces to protect Arceneau Trade company assets on Brentaal, but I am not the only one. Tenloss, Mandal Hypernautics, Salacia Consolidated... have been illegally targeted by the motion of a Prime Minister ready to step on the face of democracy and free trade.

For this reason, I am holding a convocation of Corporate entities to stand against the Prime Minister's schemes and her Republic Clone Army. An army given by Sparrti Creations.

I shall hold a secure conference holocall for all so as to move forward. A bounty has already been placed for the Republic clone army and Spaarti Assets as well.

I thank you for your time, and can only count on your support.

Cormond, Brentaal IV

That his world of all worlds was being targeted in this fit made sense in some ways, while it stank of being singled out in others. He meant to have Lasedri removed, and the fallout from the corporate world was to be expected. As a man not only of politik, but of business, he understood well the ripples that were extending across the galaxy. One war had crippled the Republic. Another might vanquish it.

He would let it happen, if it had to happen here, on Brentaal IV. He was incensed, and his peers in the governing circle of noble Lords were no less than he was in matters of feeling. His grandfather, were he still living, would be in a rage. The young Brentaalan noble, senator, and business heir could understand such a rage; this was the one and only time since Don Trozky's passing that he felt his grandfather's counsel might be of use. It would pass.

In particular, he had been working directly with ATC's [member="Danger Arceneau"] in tying the corporation to Brentaal, which was a central hub of trade and commerce - location, location, location - at the intersection of two major trade routes. Such a dealing was mutually beneficial, so when the government to which his world had been yoked decided to move against those with which he dealt, and thus directed the slight right at Brentaal, it made his thoughts that forced him to call for a vote of no confidence in the Chandrilan only worse. That he had to wait on that matter was bad. Very, very bad.

To this end, he had been sending his own missives to corporate entities that held interests here. The one to ATC was as follows.

Miz Arceneau,

I trust you and yours have been following the goings-on with the Republic, my words being the last ones before feeds were cut. You might guess how I feel about the government I 'serve' - to say, it has failed Brentaal IV. Rumour had it that you and others intend to move on principle in reaction to this heinous move that this government that claims to be a Republic has pulled.

I am seeing this now, and I would like to say that Brentaal welcomes its corporate brothers and sisters. This travesty will not stand. Let me know if there is anything I can do in addition to make certain that corporate interest will continue to prevail here.

- Lord Ordon Trozky
Senator of Brentaal IV

Just a simple note sent to [member="Danger Arceneau"] would be all the reply would be. He was honestly about to go find some of that Sullustan Roast caff he had ordered and make a cold-press of it... It looked to be a long night, and he ordered preparations to be made for a trip to this meeting. It was high time to get ready to have things taken care of.

'Danger-

Consider me there. With whatever resources and powers Akure can bring to this. I've already began to re-route production of the LeviaCan Product to a limited edition with a good marketing gimmick. The proceeds will go to help fund bounties, feed our contractors and mercenaries and the like, and help cover bounties. Whatever the money need go to.

Taeli had been watching it all unfold, streams of data flowing to her ship out in the Outer Rim. She had pulled the ship out of hyperspace early so she could actually be in communication with people. The Senate session was one thing, but this was something else. An overreaction by the Prime Minister because Patricia had tried to use the clones against the Republic ... so now things were getting worse.

A blip came on to her holoterminal, indicating a message from [member="Danger Arceneau"]. If there was one woman she would never reject a call from, well there were a few but in this case only one, she immediately read over the message. Jaxson had sent along the same thing to her so she knew this must be streaming out to every corporation Danger could think of contacting. Aurora Industries had shipyards in the Roche system and a secret facility on Togoria, but that was the extant of their operations directly in Republic-held space.

She was penning a message to the Jedi Council on Lothal about the situation, but she needed to reply to Danger first ... and take a stance.

Miss Arceneau,

The evolution of the crisis has caught my full attention. Rest assured, Aurora Industries will stand with ATC and the others in this coalition. I cannot attend the meeting in person as I'm away on a personal trip, but I shall be attending via holo. Just send along a time and I will be there ... along with Aurora's corporate defense fleet.

Yours humbly,
Taeli Raaf

With that sent, she started drafting her message to her sister and the other Council members. If they followed the news at all, they would know ... and see the similarities.

Beep, Boop, beep, beep, boop.

Spencer opened her eyes to see the flashing light on her datapad. Meditation was interrupted and she stood up and wandered barefooted towards the datapad's charge station. Pulling it up, she scrolled through it, archiving the random sales and other spam messages she got on a daily basis. She almost archived the one from Arceneau Trade Company assuming it was another pitch about their huge blowout auction or something like that. Ashin would murder her if she spent more money on the heavily busted woman's wares. Though this one was marked urgent and she opened it wondering what Danger would send personally to her among other recipients. Reading the message she blinked and pulled up the holonews feed. She had been meditating for far too long and the galaxy around her. Scratching the back of her head she lowered the volume on the news and went to send Ashin a message. Spencer had been taking the time after the incident with the One Sith and the Vong to recuperate her force connection.

[member="Ashin Varanin"] ,

Wish I was messaging you with something better than what has been brought to my attention. It seems the Republic has taken a less than democratic step towards companies within their sphere of influence. I received this message from Danger herself. It seems the attack was on Brentaal and its not too far from where I've secluded myself. I'll be heading towards there to see what is going on. Hopefully we can meet up there and assess what the situation is.

Danger has been good to us, I'm giving her my support in any way possible. The Republic isn't the Republic we knew and these actions echo a certain Sith Emperor if my history lessons are correct. Hope you're well, I miss you.

Love, Spencer

Attaching the message Danger sent her, Spencer shipped the message off and then turned to respond to Danger.

[member="Danger Arceneau"]

I've notified my spouse - heading towards Brentaal to assess the situation for myself.

Spencer Jacobs

After all the messaging was done, Spencer made her way to the pilot's seat and put in a few numbers and stuff. The small craft fired up and made its way from the location she was meditating in and headed towards Brentaal. The situation was worrisome and she wondered how far the Prime Minister was willing to go to get her way.

"Sir, we've received word from the offices of [member="Ordon Trozky"] . Brentaal seems just as upset as everyone facing this seizure. [member="Danger Arceneau"] herself is mobilizing some front with the companies affected."

Wearily Judah rubbed his face. Try as Trozky might, it seemed the Republic was hell bent on taking everything they wanted. Like a toddler who hadn't got their way on the local playground and was now hogging on the balls. Workers ushered about, most speaking in terse tones on holoconferences.

"Of course Trozky stands with us. We pull out and his planet faces a crisis they can't even imagine. Apparently the Republic didn't stop to think how this is going to make hundreds of thousands jobless and homeless. If this goes through there's going to be consequences they cannot even fathom."

To : Ordon Trozky
From : Judah Dashiell, Salacia Consolidated
Subject : Seizure

Mr.Trozky,

While we have never formally met, my company has been retrofitting two orbital platforms in the space of Brentaal IV. Until recently, Salacia has had a pleasant relationship with your government. While business would be preferable in your territory the Republic is making it a difficult issue. As it stands Salacia has sent out vessels to tow these stations from your space.

The fallout will be devastating for your planet. Salacia Consolidated will stand with the citizens of your planet but not the Republic.

"Mister Dashiell, Firemane has mobilized. Security forces inbound. Reports from our workers state small battles between our security forces and their armies. Difficult to judge how long they can hold out but they are determined. Evacuation of Salacia employees and contract employees has been ordered."
