TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
STANDARD FEATURES
  • Three large armored hangars, two facing the front, each with triple-layered particle shields protecting an interior ray shield from enemy fire, with a closing third hangar on the ventral side for the dropships.
  • A boarding/storage hangar in the bottom bow opening for captured or carried corvettes and similar-sized vessels with large articulating arms with maintenance equipment built in so friendly ships can be repaired by the flagship.
  • The bridge is located near the top of the bow's dorsal fin.
  • Multiple reactors laid out in multiple points in the ship, 75 SBRA-24 Fusion Reactors are scattered in horizontal rows of five reactors. All these reactors are able to support one another with coolant pipes running throughout the ship.
  • Armored missile silos for Fury III Heavy Missiles on the bow, with the refit the ship has doubled its missile capacity and more powerful loading mechanisms increasing rate of fire.
  • Automated HOB/F Heavy Repeating Blasters in turrets mounted in every single corridor and key area with independent wired connections to specific command and control centers.
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • A massive shield generator network with each generator able to support the others around it. To give an example of the extent of this interoperability it is possible for a generator at the stern of the ship to transfer power and coolant to one at the bow, five thousand meters away.
  • Ship is completely compartmentalized and segmented in armored sections with independent ray shielding in the corridors and overlapping damage control for these sections.
  • Highly-redundant automated damage control systems, including primary and back-up fire-suppression systems, ray shield protection against hull integrity loss, and primary and back-up escape pods in armored housings to protect them.
  • The ship has a large command and control facility able to house the entirety of the Crossroads government in an operating capacity along with their staffs and some of their families.
  • Extensive fleet and army command centers near and far from the bridge to increase command redundancy.
  • There are large numbers of Sentinel and Sentry Combat/Security Droids densely stationed all across the ship and patrol regularly to combat sabotage and boarding actions.
  • Overlapping sectional double-layered Particle Shields with back-up power links to multiple reactors and back-up emergency generators, and a main outer deflector shield.
  • The weapons emplacements have several back-up power capacitors for their particle shield sections to allow their rounds to pass through.
  • Has a specialized facility where the ship can assemble its own starfighters, bombers, and dropships, allowing a fleet operating with the ship to have ready access to spare parts, or even entire craft.
STRENGTHS
  • Large ship, able to take a hit even with its shields down.
  • Powerful shielding, able to withstand massive impact damage.
  • Large hangar capacity with refitted damage control and starfighter storage increasing deck space for repair bays.
  • Powerful long-range weapons systems, can engage with railgun-armed ships with great ease.
  • Excellent counter-boarder measures.
  • Can build its own starfighters, bombers, and dropships.
WEAKNESSES
  • Very difficult to support effectively with few ships, it has a large support fleet nearby at all times due to the ship needing unique parts in order to replace any that are destroyed or disabled in frontline service.
  • Slow ship.
  • Not very maneuverable at all.
  • Can't fit into the ground-side shipyards that the Crossroads Republic possesses, if it is damaged it has to be repaired in space, rendering it even more vulnerable.
  • Requires a large crew.
  • With a massive number of new reactors the ship could be a potential powder-keg if they go off.
DESCRIPTION
This ship is the pride and joy of the Crossroads Republic Fleet, and is the designated survivor ship for the Crossroads Republic's federal government. With the new refit to the Crucible, the ship is able to engage massive ships from massive range, in accordance to Crossroads Fleet doctrine. The guns on this ship are brand-new, but the ship's primary weapon against capital ships its own size is volley-firing its dozen Fury-III Heavy Anti-Orbital Missiles in quick succession thanks to its new rapid-loading capability. For defense, the ship has been upgraded with new shields that can take the blow of a solar flare and remain intact, but the ship's point-defense system's upgrades are something else entirely. The sheer firepower of the ship can blanket an area with a flak field so dense that not even a frigate could make it through without being torn apart, and the number of missiles the ship can put out can wipe out an attack wave numbering in the hundreds before they even get into range. And the massive number of strike missiles can do similar damage to a fleet of corvettes or frigates, even cruisers can probably not weather this ship's missile barrage if they make it through the main battery of quad cannons.

All this is investment is to keep the ship's potential precious cargo of the Crossroads Republic's government from being lost if the worst should happen. But if Crossroads Prime were to be attacked directly this ship and the fleet that accompanies it will stand in the way, and it will take a lot to get through the new and improved Crucible.
