Conquest of Alderaan [One Sith vs Republic]

Security measures would prevent Sith incursion on the databanks at the University.

Where [member="Darth Astraios"] was merely like a public knowledgebase, nothing really important was stored there. Probably should keep looking.

In the meantime, the uplink would continue to tick away. 39% with atleast 38% physical material moved off-site.

[member="Darth Astraios"] would soon find the shadowy image of a woman appearing beside him. Her face would be obscured, but twin silver eyes would ignite from under the ghostly apparitions hood.

"Come Darth Astraios." she would whisper to him. "We must ensure that we knock down any method of remote deletion of the archives." she would move forward, her eyes panning, for in her focus it had finally become clear what the objective was.

"To the direction of the database control room." she'd tell him, encouraging him to go forward. "I shall guide the rest to secure the physical documents."

Despite the area he was in was probably a public knowledge base, he didn't know that. How could he? It's not like he had a library card to Alderaan's University Library. It was his first time on the planet, but he had still gotten as much information as he could about the coordinates of buildings on the planet so that he could do what he ha done minutes before.

Like bringing down the house.

He hadn't encountered anymore Republic troopers, but he heard them. Now he was doing his best to avoid them as he placed explosives on important structures. Pillars that held up the ceilings on the multiple floors. Concealed by shelves of databanks and fallen rubble. Only when he encountered actual Republic soldiers did he incapacitate them.

Without realizing it, he heard [member="Darth Isolda"] beside him, guiding him to where he needed to go. He blinked and he saw her, and he followed where she was pointing him to.

He kept the Datacron pocketed and followed to where the shadow of Isolda guided.

"We must hurry."

He absorbed his presence, so that he was simple invisible in the Force and continued.

OBJECTIVE: Fire in the hole!

Before sweet impact could be made Mantorok found himself pulled backwards with quite a harsh jerk, throwing his equilibrium completely off course and turning the world into a blur of madness and sudden movement.

At least he made the hole big enough.

With a large thud the Chistori landed on his back upon the corridor floor, there's no time for poise and grace when you're whipping about like a giant scaly Tinkerbell. The reptile's head lolled to the side, yellow eye catching a glimpse of four tinkling objects cascading down into the corridor. It could have been anything, debris, hallucinations or very likely a care package from the woman on the roof that I don't know...SHOT HIM IN THE CHEST!

Instinct kicked in, or perhaps the self-preservation of the worm latched onto his brain and both of the beasts hands raised upwards towards the sky-hole and a simple Force push sent the devices back up through the hole and harmlessly into the sky, where a mix of flashbang and cyroban merged to make a rather pretty sky display.

“I AM DISORIENTATED,” Mantorok conceded in his typical roars, getting back to his feet.

Veino shot up from where he had been meditating. Danger. Darkness. Fear. And far off, anger and rage and the rotting corruption of the Dark Side. It was here. On the planet. He hurried out, dropping his coat as he left the main building and turned to the students, "Get underground. Keep yourselves hidden. I'll be back as soon as I can." He sprinted to the small motor pool where his Tachyon freighter, the Gray Pilgrim was located. He sprinted up and powered up the engines, considering. It was a light freighter, and wouldn't stand a chance against warships. He rerouted all power to the engines and the shields before shooting upwards, nearly knocking himself from the pilot's seat, and shot across the landscape towards where the conflict seemed the most intense. Aldera. He pushed the throttled forward and the ship screamed through the atmosphere, land flashing by beneath him.

He set his jaw and sank into the Force, wrapping himself in it and freezing it in steely resolve. He would not allow another planet to fall to the One Sith. Not that was a whole lot he could do on his own. How unfortunate Alexandra and Daichi were off somewhere. He would welcome them by his side. The Force nudged him and he yanked the control stick to the lift as a ship came hurtling past him, slamming into the ground and exploded in a ball of flame. The deaths of all inside hit him like a punch to the stomach, as if a portion of himself had simply ceased to exist. He paled and nearly puked, but kept it in control, as he could see the capital up ahead and the war that raged across the landscape. Emotions thundered through him, nearly causing him to lose control of the ship, but he brought his emotional walls back up in time to stop himself from crashing.

He frowned. Was that the university? Why in Tatooine's twin suns were the Sith attacking that? It was a school, for pity's sake. Everything they had was publicly available on the Holonet from the various affiliated .edu sites. He pulled the throttle back and dove in for a landing, wincing as it threw him from the seat and knocked a few potholes in the street. He really needed to practice piloting more. He studied the black-clad storm troopers and Sith cruising around on their speeder-bikes like some sort of well-organized swoop gang, and then shrugged, hurrying down the boarding ramp after sending all the ship's power to the shield. He really, really did not want that damaged. He couldn't afford a second one.

His lightsaber crackled to life, bathing him in yellow light, and he walked into the battlefield where men and gods dueled in nothing but a tunic and pants. And the Force. He would need nothing more, but he did really wish he had had his Defender armor by now. He should get around to doing that soon.

He held his lightsaber in a medium guard as he walked slowly into the chaos, stretching out with the Force, and settling into its depths. His sudden appearance and anonymity would be of assistance for a few moments, but not for long. Probably as soon as any Sith in the vicinity realized he had no touch of the Dark Side on him.

First objective then? Get to the aid of the Jedi knight defending the entrance. But not too close. He sprinted forward, using the Force to boost his speed and jumped, somersaulting over one of the speeders with a black clad stormtrooper and dropping his hand to let the hilt and helmet collide before landing in a roll and running forward again, blade arcing forth to deflect the blaster bolts that had begun to arc his way.

Blessed are the peacemakers
It was hard to land between two people and move closer to one person. Really, really was harder when you were 8'6 and attempted to come off stealthily. Tracyn didn't need the force to hear the approaching mass of metal. Even while he was building the force into his body, he heard the man before he knew to move. An average artillery shell, say, a 105, had a very distinct noise when it came down from a great height, as it began to break sound barriers and scream towards the earth below. So, a hulking mass of metal and hatred and anger, would make a lot of noise. Especially considering how close he was.

Tracyn didn't stick around to see what happened to [member="Darth Junra"], as he used his impressive agility and speed to jump backwards. The Sith Lord, [member="Darth Nexus"], may have had a title and a new body or whatnot, but Tracyn was determined to not get crushed by the man. So, all he had to do- was flip. He was fast, very, very, fast. Darth Nexus could drone on and on about his abilities, but Tracyn had used them time and time again. He swerved his body backwards, pushing his feet into the ground, and tucked his chin into his chest, and flipped. Splintering dirt and earth and step and marble went flying, and probably, hit his dear Sith as well. He landed, using the force to deflect the incoming fire as well. Tracyn cocked his head, and held his green lightsaber at the man.

"I wonder when you people will realize that my title as a Knight means little to what I can do or have done."He re-assumed the Djem So stance."I suppose you'd like to dance."

She would lead him towards the direction of where the remote data communications would be. It was simply a matter of getting past their guards and into the databank controls, from there, they would be able to ensure the halt of whatever that percentage that would undoubtedly keep ticking.

They were met with heavy resistance, but Isolda would use her sustained abilities to allow him a measure of forewarning. Other than that, she would not be able to physically help him in a fight. She was but in spirit form. This would not be quick.

It will likely be painful for the Darth. But the Goddess would will it.

One vonduun-clawed foot slammed into his chest, forestalling his rush, and the sabre came up as Tsolan's Force blast slammed him sideways. He flailed, seeking that bafforr bearhug, but Mierin's incandescent weapon blotted out his sight as he looked down.

And that was that. The end of everything mortal. Later, when he looked back on the end of his temporal journey, he could find some satisfaction in it -- between Mierin's foot and Cinthra's unconsciousness, he'd effectively taken two Masters out of the fight -- but regret had its place. Regret that he hadn't had a moment to apply his priest's skills to healing the Force wound that was Alexandra Cinthra. Regret that he had resorted to violence in his last breath, no matter how self-sacrificial. Regret that he had never found love, found a family, found a way to reconcile those needs with others no less pressing.

Empty robes hit the floor.

Run, Adonai. Run.

Alexandra went flying as her limp and unconscious body was put completely under by the same jedi that sent her flying, should no one stop her from continuing in her path she would slam hard into the wall and soon be approached by Sith Spawn that had mistook her for a Jedi because of her Aura being largely lightsided. She would show no sign of waking up and Daeda was still now even farther from her as he had been put under by [member="Boolon Murr"] previously.

"What the hell, man!?"
"W-what-"
"You shot him! That was one of ours! Why did you-"
"I-I don't..."

The soldier manning the anti-infantry turret could have sworn the figure bounding towards him was a Sith Knight. He had the silver armor, the billowy black cloak. There had been a crimson lightsaber in his hand. He was alone, which had been the strange part. Who charged an anti-infantry position all by themselves? Even if they did have one of those fancy lightsabers. But now he could see, even from this moderate distance, that there wasn't a Sith corpse on the ground. He recognized the uniform; it was one of theirs. Half his face and an arm torn off by the power of the turret.

But he saw a Sith. He even heard the crazed bastard screaming some kind of war cry. Of course a Sith was charging a position like this by himself. Sith were crazy. How could he have mixed up one of their men, a perfectly normal infantryman, for a bloodthirsty madman? He machine gunner only gave half-confused, stunted answers to the yelling and outraged fury of his comrades. It could have gone on for hours, they weren't going to get a straight answer. It wouldn't go on for hours, thankfully, as they hadn't noticed the flash grenade roll up behind them.

They were all subsequently deafened and blinded by the detonation. Thusly, none of them could see or hear Darth Janus as he mercilessly hacked them down. When it was all over, none of them were alive to oppose the attachment of explosive charges to the AA gun they had been defending, nor mourn its loss when it exploded.

Three down, two more to go.

"Activate primary defense systems around the databanks." She motioned to the right, and with that, defense turrets would lower from the ceiling around the door leading to the actual core. The door would become ray-shielded in turn. It would be so simple as walking in and disconnecting a plug.

"Inform the troopers they need to double their efforts in getting material out." She said through a secure communications channel before stepping away from the holoprojector.

48% data downloaded and moved offsite, 46% physical material. It was slowing down and people were converging on the databanks themselves. Things would get ugly.

He followed the Eye of the Dark Lord in her shadow form. He received forewarning of Republic soldiers when they had gotten to where they needed to go. It was quite a bit of forewarning too. His lightsaber wasn't even activated at this point, since it's humming sound would alert people to his location.

With his hidden force presence that would make it harder for those Republic troopers with a sixth sense, or Force users to locate him, and then he came around the corner, cold hard durasteel sword flashing through the helmet of a trooper, the force erupting from his hand to slam into a trio of guards.

Drawing his lightsaber from hsi belt he ignited it into a shelf, and then it collapsed right atop of him, concealing him from blaster fire just as several more troopers came for him.

He was nearly there he believed.

All the while placing explosives down.

Now he ran when Isolda's form moved faster.

She barely registered the death of the Ithorian, she barely registered anything. The Baffor Pollen began to take its effect against the Vonduun Skerr Kyrric, it pushed in on her and pressed against her. It swelled and pushed, pressing and pushing. She let out a scream of pain, and Mierin collapsed in pain before the Jedi healer. Her eyes opened wide and she screeched.

Her entire body seized, and her eyes drifted down towards her leg. She turned and placed the lightsaber beneath the back of her knee, one of the only weakpoints of the Yuuzhan Vong Organic armor. She cut the flesh behind her knee, and severed the pieces of the armor, along with the bottom half of her right leg.

As the pain rushed through her, Mierin lashed out at those around her.

Her offhand sent massive waves of the force around her, pushes, presses, and waves that bent and buckled the hall around her and were powerful enough to crush anything near her, specifically [member="Adele Adonai"].

It was time to move.

He glanced upwards and saw the giant dinosaur about to fall on him.

Rolling out of the way, several doctors and nurses looked at them as Mantorok fell through the roof.

This was... Awkward.

His lightsaber was still on in his hand, and when he took a single step forwards the whole floor seemed to come to life, most people running away, plenty of them scurrying. He glanced to Mantorok when it roared, and he chuckled under his breath. Was this truly [member="Darth Mierin"]'s apprentice? If so, he was certain that it was always comedy.

Snorting to himself, he cut a hole into the wall and put explosives into it.

"Get to work."

Vulpesen twitched under the weight of Boolon's death. The first jedi he ever had a true hand in killing. It left a sour taste in his mouth, one he quickly distracted himself from by dashing after Alexandra and giving her nose a very hard flick. "Alex, get up." He reached over and started to check for any major injuries while Ace dropped out of his robes to take hold of Daeda's scruff and drag him over.

Kiyron glanced back up the stairway where he had ushered a knot of civilians towards the evacuation personnel. Karking Sith. Attacking a hospital. Now that would be a PR nightmare for them, as well as the university assault which he was hearing about over the military comms. Why? There was no logic to this assault at all. Why Alderaan for that matter? And why did it have to be now? He double checked his gear. Havoc armor. All of it this time. He wasn't removing any plates for this kind of conflict. It would be short range and brutal. Heavy firepower in narrow corridors. He could already hear it above him. Explosives, and then what could only be a Dark Side scream. Memories flashed before his eyes. Valan. A similar situation. Fortunately he was far enough away to not get his ears blown out again.

He clicked the safety off his slugthrower and ran up the stairs, checking each corner for Sith troopers that might be coming down. He kicked open the emergency exit and stepped into the main floor hallway. He slowed to a walk, listening. It sounded like most of the problems were upstairs. He had a hunch that was where he would end up. It always happened that way.

General alarms began to blare as she examined the projector before her, an eyebrow raising as she watched the explosive detectors go off. Well now, wasn't that interesting.

She began activating the holocameras around the University Data center, and would begin transmitting the information off-site and to another source. Her attempt would to capture every deed the One Sith was doing that would cause civilian casualties.

"Prepare auxiliary generators." She took another step back from the holoprojector and sighed heavy.

Alexandra's body twitched as it was touched, her mind trying to compensate for where [member="Boolon Murr"] had pressed and knocked her out cold, it was only when she felt the massive manipulation of the force nearby her eyes shot open and she reached up to grab at [member="Darth Tsolan"]'s throat without realizing it was him, her hand going soft when she realized who it was. "Wh-where is murr, what am i feeling that is nearby?" The floor would begin to buckle from [member="Darth Mierin"]'s pressure on the area, they were far enough away not to be harmed but if they didn't leave now they would soon find a floor missing under them.

"MASTER!" Would come the outcry from the Jedi Knight, for once the normal serenity of the Iridonian flashing across her face. Ice-blue eyes would flicker red but for a moment, before returning to their seemingly normal hue.

Her head would swivel towards the direction of her attacker, just as a massive wave of the Force would come crashing towards her. There was a reason for her constant meditation. Why the Jedi Code was a constant mantra for the woman. She needed like she needed the air to breathe.

It was the only way she could focus. To seemingly stay calm. To be the perfect Jedi. She had to be.

Had. To. Be.

There is no emotion. There is peace.

There was a reason why she wasn't the best in the Circle of Healers. Why the Zabrak had trouble touching the easiests of healing methods through the Light Side of the Force.

There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.
Why she had to hide that aura that would linger, a reminder of the past.

There is no passion, there is serenity.

That powerful wave would come at her, but the woman would once again stand firm within her ground. But even then, the intense amount of concentration would cause her perfect mask to crack. Ice blue would flicker to amber, as that Force bubble would surround her being to protect her from the damage.

There is no death, there is the Force.

Gah. She was supposed to be heading up to her ship! But no! The stupid little Sithlings had to go and attack them all because they were warmongering jerkwads! Seriously, though. She was in a pickle. Her ship was assigned to defense of the planet and she'd been on shore leave, but now she couldn't seem to get anyone to want to take her back up to the ship. Teria insisted that she go to a shelter rather than fight, but Niamh would have none of that nonsense. Running away and hiding just wouldn't work for her. She'd probably get her skull cracked open again, but eh, such was life.

As it was, she'd been at the library when all hell broke loose. Yeah, she had a blaster on her hip, as she did whenever she was in uniform, but that didn't mean she actually wanted to use it. She was an Echani, not a fething Mando.

"Teria, give me your energy blade."

"What? No. You're not fighting."

"Do what I say, woman! I swear, sometimes I think about asking for someone else because you're such a blockhead when it comes to authority."

"I am not. I'm just doing my job."

Teria grumbled, but tossed the energy blade to Niamh who turned and ran swiftly down the halls. The other Echani was right on her heals as they moved along to where a new entry had been erected. Or, rather, derected. Chiefly speaking, someone had blown a nice hole in the wall. How annoying.

"Alright, which one of ya'll blew a hole in my wall?"
