History
Moira was born among the Vahla, a nomadic people who were forever in search of their lost homeworld. They were generally regarded as a naturally bright and shrewd people. All Vahla were Force-sensitive, and whether aware or not, had ties to the dark side of the Force. Also as a half Miraluka, she has a natural affinity to Force Sight, which she used to her advantage for her path to becoming a Chosen of Vahl for the Ember of Vahl.
Most Vahla were members of the Ember of Vahl, a dark side cult that worshiped Vahl, a goddess of fire and destruction. Though not all Vahla were members, all were expected to follow the orders of a six-priest central coven believed to have been "chosen" by the goddess. To show their faith and devotion, these Chosen of Vahl would inflict scars upon themselves. The Chosen consulted with Vahl through use of Force-empowered farseeing. They also interpreted signs and portents, and made policy for the Vahla.
Chosen of Vahl
The Chosen of Vahl were the central coven of six priests who governed the dark side cult. Although individual Vahla often set off on their own, all members of the nomadic species were expected to heed the coven's demands. The priests would consult their goddess Vahl, an embodiment of the destructive power of the dark side of the Force, and use farseeing to interpret omens, and make policies for the Vahla. The priests would show their goddess their faith and devotion by scarring themselves.
At a young age, Moira stood out from amongst all others for her farseeing abilities. Seeing this as a blessing from the Goddess Vahl, Moira was taken in by the Chosen of Vahl to undergo training to become one of their priestess.
The Obsession
Starting from a young age, the Oracle had been tortured by images of a powerful man. Faceless and nameless to begin with, the young Vahla soon left the safety of the Vahla fleet to search for him. In time, she met who she believed was "The One." A dark obsession, the years spent plagued by the visions twisted her desire for truth into a dark love obsession. The Prophesy that whispered in her ears and haunted her dreams would come true one way or another....
And she would do everything and anything to claim it.
Her search was not in vain, having found Darth Apparatus as the "One" who would set her free and fulfill the prophesy. For years she tutored under him, learning all that he knew in the form of Rule of Two, gleaning as much information as she could -- even the steps needed to transcend life itself. She was his protege, ever knowing that if she were to truly become a Master, that she would have to kill Apparatus once in for all.
But would her obsessive love allow her to? This was of concern to Apparatus, and thus why he believed she would truly never reach her full potential.
But the Sith Master would soon realize that the miraluka that was his apprentice would soon reveal her true intentions. Having tricked him since the very beginning, she had sought to learn all that she could of the Master to fulfill the prophesy, not of ultimate power, but of life transcendence, using her prophecies to lay out the groundwork to bring Apparatus to exactly he needed to be to fulfill it all.
Now, a Sith Lord in full power, she has lived countless of lives to one day fulfill her duty, the destruction of her Master, her obsessive love, one way or another.
Force Powers
- Under the Rule of Two, Darth Apparatus trained Moira with the expectation that she would one day fulfill her role and kill him. Thus she has been trained to the full extent of Darth Apparatus's knowledge in the Force as well as fighting skill. This includes telekinesis, able to produce a powerful Force push with minimal effort and motion, augment her physical abilities. As with Darth Apparatus, the full extent of her Force abilities remained unknown, though.
- She is highly specialized in the Force in Farsight, augmented by the farseeing prophecies known to the Chosen of Vahl. She can see intricate connections and their various outcomes through the mists, allowing for a successful application to the One's desires. She is so skilled in this technique that she is capable of detecting when friends and apprentices were in danger, examining details of past events, and predicting the probable outcome of a stated course of action. She is also able to apply this in combat, allowing the practitioner to glimpse moves his opponent may make, as well as outside forces that might affect the battle.
- Her spirit is able to leave her body for a limited amount of time, making her spirit able to go where she pleased. This would be used for reconnaissance in a hostile place.
- A mastery of Darksight, allowing her to bloom the full potential abilities of the future to pick and choose the most favorable outcome.
- Skilled in flowwalking, allowing her allowing her to view the past and the future. While she could change a person's perception of the past, she could not change the past itself.
- A master of the technique of Sith Lord Terrak Morrhage has allowed her to utilize a form of the Dark Plague to corrupt the minds of who she so desires.
- A master of Voss Mysticism from the Voss Mystics
- A mastery in Sith Battle Meditation.
- Well versed in Transfer Essence over a millenia of bloodkin use of vessels along with her twin brother.
- Well versed in Dreamwalking, and manipulating through the Force via dreams.
- A mastery in memory rub and drain knowledge, allowing her to craft an entirely new life to prisoners so they can assume the roles of loyal Vahla.
