Rebellion Conflict at Kuat - Too Many Cooks Edition [The Grayson Imperium vs The Republic]

ICOGrz1.png

The recess called he went into a private room and pulled out his Corellian datapad and sent an encrypted message to Corellian High Command. He wasn't military, at home or in the Republic Senate, but he did have sway with certain military officials in the Corellian Defense Force. Zahara was a young Admiral. Promoted through both a large vacancy and a little finagling by Kaito himself. Technically he wasn't an Admiral yet but the promotion was all but certain though it had been stuck in litigation for months...Also by Kaito. Zahara wasn't...A genius by any means. He was earnest and he craved power however and those were things Kaito could take advantage of.

It wasn't long until he'd gotten patched to the soon to be Admiral's datapad.

"We eagerly await your success Commodore Myneto. The shipyards of Kuat are incredibly important to the success and livelihood of the Republic AND Corellia. Secure the system by any means necessary. The future of Kuat is in your hands, as is your own." He conveniently omitted that there were likely orders coming soon to stop the fighting, but there was more than one way to 'secure a system'. How he did it was his own prerogative. The message was sent through the text messaging system of Corellian High Command.

The doors swung open and a short petite woman entered. That she'd gotten through their security wasn't super surprising. He had been a proponent of a much more secure location than a public museum. The riots outside and now this only solidified his thinking on this. He wanted to reach out with the Force and snap her neck but he quickly quashed that impulse instead straightening and turning his venomous gaze down at her. He wished he had his blade with him now. Sure, his armor and blade weren't far, but this woman had an air about her that told him he might need it now and it was out of reach.

"And who," he started, his glare still lingering, "In the Nine Corellian Hells are you? Guards! Remove this woman!" He cursed and pulled out a comlink.

"Lieutenant Raith, this is Senator Kaito Kiyoshi of Corellia. An unidentified assailant has entered the chambers! Where is your squad?!"

"I can't blame you. every team needs to start somewhere though."

Leon was checking his gear as he followed behind Tasha Blackmoor Tasha Blackmoor . His saber and pistol were at his side, as usual, and his trench coat was wrapped tightly around his robes at the waist. Tension filled the Alderainian air. Riots outside the peace meeting, shots fired above Kuat, and finally someone may be after the ambassadors.

He pushed his way through the crowds, holding his coat tighter to hide his robes and saber. Being seen as a Jedi in this crowd might not end well. The museum was ahead, but the unruly crowd was thousands strong. outside security forces looked like they could hold them if need be.

"I'll follow you. I haven't had much experience in these kinds of situations.

Current Fleet:
x2 Bulwark Mark III Battle Cruisers
"The Creature" - Condition: Disabled... permanently
"The Tear" - Condition: Disabled.. permanently
Hangar bays:
Objective: Plan B. Find the command station.

The omnipotent hum and rumble of the engines had always been a anchor aboard the older vessels. Espiecally "The Creature and the Tear". There had been numerous times times where such a sound or force was liable to be silenced, but never for long. The vibrating breathed a liveliness into the battle cruisers that over powered all others. An ever present sign of progression, power and lack of hope for those keen on escape. Lumbering down the corridors Kezeroth adjusted the medium sized pauldrons that rested atop his armorweave suit. Magnifying his HUD view further down the hall to a Holoscreen he observed a section of the ring coming in close view.

Almost there.

"What is our current speed?" He spat into the com and eagerly waited for an answer. A shake pulsed through the section of the ship. It was akin to the sound of swarms of insects traveling through pipes and it was enough to drive one insane. The crackling flow. The ship was still under attack and in danger. Looking back on what he said the Gen'dai began to ponder if his attacker would really insist on combating him with so many hostages aboard in plain view. Time itself seemed to pause and Kezeroth found himself not only waiting for one answer but now two. The static of a incoming message seemed to do the trick of snapping him back to attention. "Too fast!" The mental calculations immediately began to commence within the armored giants head. It did not take him long.

The movements of full fledged jedi were counted as slow in comparison to the perception of the Gen'dai species and it didnt take long to figure out the amount of time they all had before everything would soon be in Kezeroths favor. Or so he thought. What could only be described as a wind skidding off muscle and nerves buried under layers of metal so to was the sudden scream the sounded off within the force. An overbearing shriek. Thousands of lives lost in a moment. A current of brief pain that Kezeroth clutched with a invisible hand through pure instinct alone. Consuming the cosmic void. After this brief moment of tainted euphoria had passed he realized it. The engines. For the first time in what felt like ages, the vibrations of the engines had completely ceased to be. Disabled and set a drift in space. He knew it, felt it and then it was confirmed.

" Captain! Were disabled we-" The voice was cut off immediately.
" Abandon your stations. Prepare for impact." The command escaped the Captain cold. Metal fingers trailed the edge of a large lever, sliding a grasp onto the mechanism the entire ship cried letting all aboard of the dire situation. Red lights, Red alarms. Reports from "The Tear" had already gone silent as well. It seemed the ionic cannons pointed at both battle cruisers were to suffer the same fates. Even now the sight of slaves being jettisoned into the vacuum of space fill the holoscreens. Their shields against moral good had perished and with it there was no reason to not be destroyed and destruction was now inevitable. Closer and closer the front surface of Kuats Ring grew in front of the vessels and soon was bigger and much larger than their own vessels.

Just because the engines of both vessels were disabled did not mean acceleration came to a stop or decrease. In open space not limited to drag forces and other such elements. Inertia would have its way driving the ships forward with the same speed and force. Docking with Kuat was now impossible to preform. Within seconds the impact would occur and the crew for the most part would be perfectly fine. The lack of lungs often gave one a very distinct advantage. Then it all came to a halt.

* BANG*

First came the scream of metal against the various types of shielding the surrounded the Kuat Drive Yards. Due to the wedge shape of the vessels, penetration was optimal and rather effective. As if the ships were designed to be used a battering rams batting away and colliding with directorate ships like a glancing spear. Almost as if it was guided by an invisible hand. With each shield entered the Creature and Tear slowed but not nearly enough for a safe entry. Another bang sounded aloud crushing metal against its own kind. Searing it from its very layers and breaching into Ring and battle cruisers alike. Explosion after explosion erupted over the two. Deep within the vessels the hand of the void itself quelled fires to a snuff and ripped crew men from the ships into the depths of space. Most were ill prepared. Final impacts crusted over into a wall of the rings interior breaching into the structure like a lance into armor. Yanked from where he stood Kezeroth immediately gathered his senses and using the force to center himself scanned the ring for fiery damage he could exploit. The pull had previously breaking his concentration.

" There!" He uttered to himself all the while focusing his body position to send him hurdling into a laceration that fissured across the rings wall. Repulse engines in his jet pack lit up to direct his path and within minutes it was done. Slamming against a metal was via zero G. Kezeroth had infiltrated a section of Kuats ring.

" All surviving crew of the Tear and Creature. This is your captain. Enter the Drive yards any way you can and converge on my location." A large thump smashed a rather small button aboard his own bracer. A simple tracker for his gang of scum. Like him they too would soon arrive or atleast those who could make the shot into the weakened and exposed holes in space. There was no doubt in his mind that a portion of the crew had missed their exit and now were falling endlessly through space or worse. Toward the planet itself to burn and crash on re-entry.
With magno boots activated the simple pleasures of being on what he considered to be the ground began to wash over his body. Followed by several other thuds of crew crashing into a durasteel wall. Much like their captain they soon began to fall in line ready for the real mission to begin.

A lush pair of orange eyes burned through the T-shaped visor the shielded Kezeroths face. The veil of Kuats ring was torn and past it was the littered remains of both his ships, the mass destruction of millions of credits and the precious cargo he once promised to deliever to fat nobles in different sections of the galaxy for whatever sick fantasy they desired. All of it was now gone. As debris moved out of view the Gen'dai captain tilted his head observing the fleet that had taken everything from him. " Move on forward, get us out of this room. I have business to handle.." The captains voice edged the line of concern and animosity. And while there was a lack of technical weapons for him to use. There was always a way to harm others whether they knew it or not. Radiant rays of light reflected off a
gold esqe glove that seemed to be crammed apon the Slavers left hand. Gleaming with gems he banished it in front of him forming a fist of iron. Burning his rage to a brim and choosing to now release the emotions he had absorbed from the countless deaths earlier. Wrapping his extensive invisible influence over a single Pellaeon-class Star Destroyer in the parameters of a cube he focused all his efforts driving the ship in its entirety into the rest of the fleet. He would feel the pain of his own men dying this day. Lifting his other hand Debris and large ship parts jerked from their floating dead rotations and suddenly were launched toward smaller fighters and vessels that once did harm. The end resualt hopefully being enough to utterly terrorize those who attacked The Rancidous Order.

CITY OF ASHES
BATTLEGROUP DURO
OUTER KUAT SYSTEM

"This is Ambassador-Senator Solborne. We are in the talks with the Imperium forces. They are not our enemy. I repeat, they are not the enemy. Inform the rest of the fleet."

"Just what the hell is going on here Captain Andien Gale Andien Gale ?"

Admiral Mazik Stazi's wrinkled old visage sputtered into life on the bridge of the Lady Luck alongside Senator Solborne. He still refused to wear a Republic uniform despite great efforts to unify the old Confederation into a new Grand Army. Not even a minute out of hyperspace and intelligence reports were piling up on the holotable beside him. From his perspective on board the City of Ashes Kuat's orbit was a disaster unfolding in slow motion.

"Our comms must be malfunctioning," he growled at the dug star destroyer captain, "I could have sworn some beatnik politician just told me Imperials aren't my enemy."

Reports continued to flood in. Suspected false flag operations in orbit. Potential Sith activity planetside. Kuati officers taking orders from Grayson lackeys like they were already vassals. This planet had long held authoritarian sympathies. There was only one language an Imperial understood. Overwhelming force.

"Belay that order captain. We have no way of knowing if the unknown element here isn't simply Grayson fanatics wearing Sith uniforms." he turned from the holoprojector, "Open a channel to the Imperial flag."

Uncertain which battlecruiser was the lead Imperium ship, the City of Ashes sent out a general hail to Alyson Halle Alyson Halle and her compatriots.

"Attention Imperial vessels," Stazi's sneer was as hard as iron on their holodisplays, "You are suspected of unlawful actions against Republic naval assets. You have ten minutes to power down your engines or plot a course out of this system. If you do not comply we will come in firing."

He paused, his nostril slits flaring dangerously.

"And we won't be using ion cannons."

Denzul reflected as the Politicians discussed about the current situation. A sinister force had been responsible for starting the conflict but who though. If it weren't the Sith nor the Agents of Chaos who else could it be he thought , surely not the Directorate as Denzul was speaking on their behalf and the Directorate had mainly come to settle old scores with the Grayson Imperium and regain the favor of the Lord Imperator. As Denzul reflected a women opened the door uninvited. Before he could respond Maou Maou seized the initiative and contacted Lieutenant Raith to remove the woman at once. But Denzul saw this as an opportunity to get answers.

"No keep the women here. We have yet to understand who's responsible for this entire crisis , we don't have to start another one. Perhaps she could help us." Denzul said to Kaito , hopefully the mobster would understand as this women could provide some value intel to the Politicians in Alderaan. Then Denzul looked at the unknown Female and resumed. "Hello there i'm Denzul Yorkell Representative of the Directorate , as you can see this is a restricted area , care to tell us who you are and why you're here?" Denzul said in a polite manner unlike Kaito , Denzul was less aggressive and preferred diplomacy over War seeing the use of Force as a last resort when Diplomacy failed.

Then Denzul received a message from his cousin on his comlink with Maracel informing Denzul of an ultimatum sent by the Republic against the Imperium Fleet. Then Denzul turned to the P Placeholder 0128 and Fable Solborne. "It seems that your Commanders . Senator Solborne are stubborn. I have caught wind of an ultimatum sent by a certain Admiral Stazi towards the Imperium Fleet in which the Republic Admiral threatened to open fire on the Imperium Fleet and order a full-scale attack on the Imperium Forces. It seems there is great miscommunication between both Fleets and that your commanders are clearly trying to provoke a war with the Grayson Imperium. Perhaps they are the ones to blame for this Conflict." Denzul said.

Jai continued to follow, shaking his head when Schere said she didn’t have any stun weapons. None. He shook his head, speaking with a mocking tone, but a friendly kind of mocking.

“How are you the one with more weapons, yet my two Trayc’kal can stun? You definitely wouldn’t make it as a bounty hunter.” He chuckled some, continuing to chase after the thief. When he heard to person mention he was hungry though, it tugged at the Mando’s heart. DeWinter would probably say he was some backwater agworlder, but he couldn’t help it. He sighed, looking at his partner.

“Maybe he needs the cheese mo... you aren’t going to listen are you?” He already knew that was a losing battle, but Jai also lost a step or two when the man called Scherezade his wife. Thank the Force he had his helmet on. It hid his befuddled look. He was also happy Schere was more focused on her cheese now. He just shook his head, pretending to ignore what was just said.

“Yeah, I can’t rein her in right now. I think she really likes that cheese.”

Venandi's brothers, Surge, Cutter, and Strings were guarding the roof of the museum alongside other guards from the various factions here. They were the most elite here, ARCs being the best after all, but the other guards were nothing to scoff at either. That said, they weren't here to find, but rather there to ensure that nothing happened. As such, there was one brother for each corner, or there had been when Venandi was up top. Now they had spread out a bit more to form a sort of triangle, with the rest of the guards filling in the gaps.

With them all guarding the roof, they were watching the crowds below them, keeping a careful eye on what was happening, even if they wouldn't interfere. Due to this constant lookout, it would be very difficult for any intruder to slip past and enter the building. Even as they watched, someone managed to slip past, one Myrium Okar. He cut his way into the building's roof, and even as he flipped into the building, he was spotted by Cutter. Calling it out, he rushed after the man, with Strings close behind, along with a group of other guards, the rest remaining on the roof, watchful of any further infiltrators.

Cutter and Strings jumped in through the hole, followed quickly by the other group, even as they rushed towards Myrium. Cutter called out over comms to inform Venandi that there was another intruder here, but they were chasing him down. They spotted him placing something down, prompting Cutter to investigate it immediately, while Strings led the others in the chase. They burst into the next room where Myrium was, aiming their weapons at him. While the other guards ordered him to drop down and surrender, Strings simply opened up, blasting away with his DC-15s.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Still standing there, Venandi watched on in silence as the senators spoke. In his observations, Venandi saw that Fable was going through much pain at the moment, though why, Venandi didn't know. That said, Venandi also couldn't do anything because he wouldn't know what to say, and he hardly wished to interrupt now of all things, especially if it was something personal. So, Venandi simply watched on as she called for a cease fire with the Imperium. While Venandi knew what was happening here was true, he doubted many up in space would see things the same way. They had lost brothers in arms, it would be difficult to just lay down their arms so quickly after their losses. Opening up a private line to his brothers on the roof, Venandi received another report, that of semi peaceful protests, and full blown riots. Such 'wonderful' news to hear.

Turning his attention back to Fable as she spoke, Venandi thought on everything he knew about the Agents of Chaos, their past actions and behavior. This was right down their alley, more so than the Sith or any other group, yet these people didn't see that. That was politicians for you, knowing more about brown nosing to someone than actual knowledge of the enemy. Sighing in disappointment, Venandi took a step forward, aiming to correct Fable and tell them all more about the Agents of Chaos. It was then that someone entered through the door, unbidden and fully armored. Who she was didn't matter, what she wanted didn't either. Her profile matched the person who'd spoken over open comms, matched the one who had incited rebellion here. Not only that, there had been guards at that door, and yet she'd simply strolled in without any sounds of conflict being heard. That meant she was deadly as well, since those guards wouldn't have let anyone simply walk in.

Venandi didn't know what happened to the guards, nor did he care about what she said, the single word that it was. What he saw, what his countless years of training had him do, was deal with a threat. He heard the call from Kaito to remove her, but he was already in motion even as he spoke. The step closer that he'd taken provided him with the perfect opportunity to protect the Republic senators. Venandi took another step closer, pushing into the group of Republic senators, aiming to knock them to the ground, under cover essentially. At the same time he did two other things, one, raise up his Westar M5, switching it to stun in the process, before firing it three times at Alwine, the second was call out over comms immediately.
"Intruder main conference room! Converge immediately, priority alpha!" His call went out over open comms to Republic and Imperial forces in and around the museum, a call of the highest priority. No doubt people would begin converging immediately, aiming to deal with the intruder and protect their leaders. This happened even as Venandi moved further forward, lunging at Alwine, aiming to knock her down and incapacitate her.

"Assailant?" Alwine asked, a wolfish quizzical look decorating her face as she looked at 2Kaito Kiyoshi, "Who is it exactly, that I have assaulted?"

Turning her gaze away from the Corellian representative, she now looked at the one who identified himself a Directorate representative (Denzul Yorkell). She remembered the planet well enough; after all, when the fall of the Directorate, she and her people had come swooping down to take nearly anything that was not bolted down or hidden behind a safe that they couldn't take with them.

Her hand moved to her belt, where her weapon was. But quickly, while on guard in case someone decide to do something stupid, she removed it from her belt and was just about it to toss it aside, to show these people that she was not here to injure them. Not that it mattered too much, for Alwine could still use the Force, but intent had to be seen clearly by all those involved.

Except that there was no time for that or anything else. Shots were fired, and Venandi Venandi was moving towards her, shooting like a Wildman. She had not had the time to utter a word before he was on her, and the petite woman, weaponless, found herself beneath him.

"Get off of me, you brute!" she demanded, needing to use every inch of self-control she had to remain in her human form and not attempt to remove his jugular vein with her teeth, "Is this the might of the Republic? Of the Imperium? Of Alderaan? Assaulting and shooting a person who has done nothing?! I was in the middle of removing my weapon!"

Every fiber of her muscles knew that she ought to fight. That she could take him. He was just a brute. During her service with the Confederacy she had killed hundreds of men like him.

But not a single one since leaving there. Not once. Not, because she had given up on violence. Not at all. But when killing was no longer your priority, it was sort of surprising that it no longer was a regular occurrence in your life.

The adrenaline was rising. Had any of the shots injured her? Had her armor protected her? She still did not know.

Perhaps next time, Alwine thought as her main fight was not to lash out at the brute on top of her, remaining naked before entering a room full of people would be a better option.

"True enough." She responded to Leon Gallo Leon Gallo as they proceeded. After hearing his comment about not being used to these things she added, "I won't say all will go well, but, I guess we can hope so." The rush would not be unwarrented, as her and Leon Gallo Leon Gallo would approach towards the Museum Alwine Daye Alwine Daye would have already made it inside. Something which Venandi Venandi sent out an alert for which certainly did not slow the businesswoman's progress towards the Museum.

Her rush towards the museum was momentarily stopped as one of the security came up to her seeing she was armed so heavily before she took off her helmet and pulled up her identity, "Tasha Blackmoor, heiress to count Blackmoor. I've started business in Alderaan and recently joined the Grayson Imperium, if these delegates get killed, outside of the citizens, I'm going to be one of the ones to suffer. This man is going to help ensure their safety." she spoke with authority and quickly rushed past them continuing forwards towards the museum.

Her arrival wouldn't be long after Alwine Daye Alwine Daye had been tackled to the ground. And her response to it, Tasha temporarily removed her helmet again to make sure her face was shown. Although she was far from the same rank as others of Alderaan she at least had some due to her father. More the reason was to make sure her identity was known so she wouldn't be classified as a hostile. She'd move in, and nod her head to the security quickly,
"Tasha Blackmoor, heiress to a count and currently assisting the Imperium I'm here to help protect the politicians from danger." she said before replacing her helmet and noting the woman trying to claim victimhood on the ground. She nodded her head to Leon Gallo Leon Gallo , "He is also with the Imperium."

She took a long look at the woman, considering the problem of her presence. Her very being here threw away any claims to victimhood unless she was a person relevant to the discussion or security. And the fact that wasn't what she started with was enough to be fairly certain she was not. Whether or not she was a physical threat in reality was not important, it was that she very well could be, and precautions needed to be taken to ensure she wouldn't become one. Although Tasha set her weapon to stun, she remained diligent and kept a look out for any more enemies.

If this woman really was an assailant, they may already have others attempting to get in.

It was two reports that were coming out. Null and the others seem to be heading directly towards the Museum. It was when a report came through that there were people inside the museum, it seemed like the Commando was hell bent on reaching those inside. Even so much as using explosives that would allow him to go into the building itself. As much I wanted to shake my head, there was just something about this that seemed wrong. I could feel it in my gut that something else was happening.

"You guys go. I just... This report of a Saber wielder in the streets needs to be dealt with."

Without another word, I turned around from the newly blasted hole in the wall. Rushing down from where we had been coming. Looking around. I then realized that I still had a com link to the Sigma Squad. With the few times that I have seen the group, I knew that one of them that had been introduced, Whisper, was the one carrying the sniper rifle. As well as being the guy who was going to be keeping a keen eye over the situation.

"Whisper, This is Jedi Kale. I need a location on the Saber jockey with these terrorists."

It took a couple moments. Reaching the main streets that were around the museum, I looked left and right to find no one. Well... more so I saw people either running or causing problems with the riots. It was just mere seconds after reaching the street and my mind flying to determine where to go that I got a response.

: : Jedi, West South west. Red saber, Dark clothing. : :

I smiled and nodded my head. Responding quickly to him.

"Crystal."

I had a feeling he would keep an eye on my progress as well as watch the saber wielder in case he moved. I ran like the devil was on my heels towards this individual. Not really caring if anyone happened to see me. Turning around the corner, I could see him clearly. Some kind of brooding was around him. However, what made me have a single hint of doubt, was the welling of the force around this individual. Powerful and dark. It was clear this individual would not be a fun spar fight.

Yet still, I allowed the blue saber to snap into existence. Even calling out to him.

"You really should not be here. Leave the premises."

Taking an aggressive stance of the Djem-So fighting style, which I am sure he knew and had seen before. I was prepared to fight.

"I'd rather not have to resort to violence."

Kaleleon Kaleleon

The wind whispered darkly around him. Spirits that lingered close by at the cusp of the Nether crept close and hunched close, stalking like predators awaiting the chance to strike. As he called power through the thin fabric, they sought a path through to the side lost to them.

Xenro cared little for whether they found success. Death already had firm grip over their souls. Even if they made their way through, only the animosity they felt toward the living would reign over their will. More death would result, and the outrage of the Nether would be satiated.

The blood that drenched the duracrete had seeped through cracks and pores. It crept outward and along, stretching out and spreading like a fast acting poison. If left unmolested, Xenro would have taken complete control of the planetary crust in the area. A catastrophic earthquake that devoured the museum would have been child's play.

Of course, there were Jedi.

Xenro had let his arms fall to his sides and become still as death. Only his lips still moved as he drenched the world in darkness, bathed in his will. Around him, Alderaan permeated terror.

A blue light. A resilient spirit, and the will to fight. Xenro's eyes rested upon Kale as he spoke valiantly and swallowed his fear. The black lips ceased to move.

"It is far too late for that."

A man can change his stars
The ground... The ground itself began to bleed.

I could feel the welling of the force around him as his hands came down to the side. He was more than prepared for a fight. Even his tone showed he had better things to do than deal with me. Every part of my former life wished me to run. To hide and return home so I could tend the fields of crops. Keep my head down and worry about the simple day. Yet, My body stayed. It willed itself to stand in the face of this man. I thought it was he who rushed me. The distance closing quickly. Instead, it was my own feet carrying me.

They moved of their own as I sought to end the threat that this man possessed. Its when I could hear the words of those before me echo their teachings. That a Jedi needs to stand for those who could not. Even if they had to stand alone.

And so I stood.

"Its never too late."

Even as I closed the distance I came to stop before him. Not even aiming to swing my saber at him.

"What pushes you to do this? Why could you hope to disrupt peace talks?"

I don't want to fight him. I don't want to have to end this man in violence. I never wanted to kill anyone. Yet as the duty of the jedi called upon me, if he pushed too far, then I would have too.

"Please, just leave."

Xenro

Nox Aeternum.
Peace.

He spoke the vulgar word that unwound every fiber of Darth Xenro. From the moment he was spirited away from his life on Malastare, living in impoverished servitude he knew that the strong ate the weak. The Jedi took him in, nursed him to health, and taught him to do what he knew best. They taught him how to serve.

But power forced into service was wasted. The potential of even the greatest of Jedi Masters was as nothing in comparison to a man who had his freedom. And so, Arcanus delved deep into the texts, into any sort of arcane knowledge that could give him more than a life beneath others.

Peace is...

He gained the trust of the Order through his actions. He served as Padawan to a Master who favored him, who saw his potential and taught him to harness it. Arcanus gained access to the archives. He learned ancient, near forgotten truths of the Force. He learned of the enemy the Jedi wanted forgotten. He learned the truth of the Force, and of power.

He learned that all life, all power, all things that exist were chained by a single common denominator. The Force shackled them all. Conflict would always continue, even in spite of the best efforts of greater men.

Peace is a lie.

His eyes were frozen on the Jedi now. Green, cold, calculating. The Jedi tasted of fear, but also resolve. Whoever this boy was, he stood like a flickering candle in the dark of night. Xenro's presence fanned out and crept along, fed in part by his malice.

Bitterness. Enmity. Disgust.

The spirit and body were like a breaker. With the proper switch flipped, the power flowed freely all around. It flowed out into the world around them. His focus expanded, connected like a spider to its web. Xenro grabbed hold of that power as he uttered a single word.

"No."

Leon followed behind Tasha as the pair past through each security checkpoint. After they got into the museum, Leon let his coat open, revealing his Jedi robes. He readied his pistol as they walked, setting it to stun. He still had no clue who was trying to get in, and prisoners would be helpful.

When he and Tasha reached Alwine Daye Alwine Daye , Leon studied her curiously. She was claiming to be innocent, yet she wore combat armor. A weapon lay a few feet away, discarded. Leon shifted his gaze to Venandi Venandi .

"What was she doing? Do you know if there are others?"

A man can change his stars
I could feel it creeping. The power from this man only continued to expand. The darkness within him was... overwhelming. Overpowering. I started to feel my hands shake. This man. This anger. Disgust in the face of who I was. What I was. His darkness, his pure and raw essence spread all around me. I could feel it as though the waters of the force were tainted by a poison. One that festered and consumed all that was of the Light. The purest form of the darkness crept over me.

I could only look at my hands as he uttered the singular word of "No."

It was all of the emotions of the dark side. The doubt within me was growing stronger with every second that I stood. All I could do, was to shut off the lightsaber. The brightness that was once there was diminishing. It was... disheartening to know that even if I could try my best against such a man as him, I would still lose. Everything.

but... isn't... that what fighting is for? To be willing to sacrifice everything for the cause you believe in? For the willingness to not just put your life, but everything you are. Your name, your legacy, your own essence on the line for the likes of those who could not, or would not? Was I willing to be able to give my everything, just so I could look at the man in the face.

I... doubt.

I started with nothing. Master Romi taking me in without any training in the force. No other experience in the Galaxy. A hatchling. Yet she still believed in me. My father, he was the one who followed me into the Cave. The Temple that the Wardens had become a reality. My mother who supported me even after I left her. The other Jedi who looked at me for even attempting to fight the pirates. Knights and Masters who allowed me to lead them. Who allowed me to take charge so that I might learn.

Wyatt as he let me speak among those who would have been considered Masters within their craft. When I should have been silenced. Sylvi as she thanked me time and time again for keeping her alive. These people... they saw something I couldn't. It was... hope. Even after seeing death. Seeing the darkness that could be created, I still stood with the Jedi. I still tried my best. Even if I failed.

Because the one time that I was needed, the one time I had to be depended upon, I would be there. Always there. Even if it was just to be a smiling face.

My own eyes looking up. Coming to rest upon the darkness within the green sunken eyes that were this man. Even as he continued to envelope me with darkness. I smiled at him. Just smiled. Allowing myself to stand there. Steeling myself against his own resolve to bring me down. To batter me.

"I am sorry."

The bright saber once more ignited. Raising it up next to me in a two handed grip. Holding on with white knuckles as I stood there.

Xenro

Nox Aeternum.
The compassion that burnt in his enemy moved over the Sith. It was a wretched, familiar sensation, a reminder of the world he left behind. It stroked the creature he had been and stirred those raw, human feelings that lingered. The body had died. The spirit remained. It was natural that something remained tied to what was left behind.

But Xenro was unnatural.

His sacrifices numbered more than years of life he had counted. The emotions he felt twisted, corrupted, and poured out of him. That was all he had left. He was a chalice of nothingness, emptied out. Xenro would make the Jedi drink deep.

"Not yet," his quiet voice rasped.

Defiance was the nature of Jedi. In spite of their weakness and voluntary subjugation, they had the ability to stand firm. Like trees in the wind, they wavered but remained. The Sith understood.

They needed to be cut down.

The green blade snapped to life without warning from beneath his sleeve, in his left hand. The pallid white digits clenched it tightly, blackened nails biting into his own flesh. Still more blood trickled down to the dirt, perverting the very world ever more.

If this Jedi would defy him, he would spread the seeds of ruin further in response.

"You will be."

And then, the world yawned. Tired from the extreme pressure that the Dark Lord placed upon it, Alderaan responded with a wicked shiver. It crept up beneath his voice, twisting, writhing, and in the moments that they spent on speech, Xenro had spread his influence deeper, further, out to the fringes of Aldera City.

The desecrated land responded to his beckoned call.

"Now break."

His voice raised in outrage, to a cracking, deep, venomous tell that reverberated. The stern, harsh, unrelenting command went not to the Jedi, but the world itself.

And all around them, the ground began to fracture.

His anger only deepened. I could feel a surge in power even as he spoke that I was not sorry. Not yet at the very least. I knew what his next words would be. Almost as though I could understand what he was going to be doing. The tremors first began to form. Even as his green saber ignited brightly against the blue of my own. He wanted me to fight him. He wanted me to cut him down.

Just as much as he would wish the same of myself.

Yet, he wanted me to break. To crumble underneath his might. To become nothing but ruin underneath him. No. I would not break. In fact I voiced this too him. Even as his blood began to seep and fall into the ground more, I quickly put the pieces together. He controlled the blood. He controlled all through his blood. The only way to prevent this, would be to sever his tie to it. To prevent any more from leaking into the planet itself.

And so, I knew of one that could prevent the force, as well as the ground from being seeped into.

"NEVER!"

Yelling at him that my resolve would never break beneath him. In fact, I hoped to fortify myself against his powers.

A bubble formed around him. Barely scraping the ground beneath his feet, but still forming. Cutting through the ground to connect completely around him. A bubble of the force formed around him. The bright blue shimmering almost liquid shapes it took around him. While it rendered me hard planted to the ground itself, the purpose was to prevent him from moving anywhere else, and his blood to no longer move from his command.

"I will never break, nor falter. I just wish I could have been there to prevent you from doing so."

Nox Aeternum.
The shimmering, translucent light flickered to life around him, and Xenro's gaze darkened. The man wanted not to fight. He resisted the very essence of conflict, he rebuffed the hatred of the Sith with his own will. The world now spasmed and shook beneath them, fissures ripping at random all around. Buildings caught in the path lost their foundation and began to crack and crumble.

The people began to panic.

His blood was already seated deep within the area. It might not creep further, the people attempting to broker their false peace might be spared momentarily, but the Jedi would have exactly what he wished for.

They say a Jedi's life is sacrifice, after all.

Xenro would show him what it meant to sacrifice everything.

The Jedi cried out his intent to the heavens. He stated his failure, his wish to have kept Xenro from his fall. With his animosity centered around this youth, the Sith Lord channeled his focus.

From the front, from behind, from either side, the ground heeded the command of its jailer.

Lances of earth skewered upward, blackened and twisted by the magicks of Darth Xenro. They sought to spear Kale from all sides, hard and sharp like honed obsidian.

Was there no end to this mans hatred?

He so sought to end me. Every essence within the force meant nothing to him. It was all pointless. Even as I did, with a genuine heart, wish he had not fallen into the depths he so sought of me to dive into, I could feel the ground continue to shake. I could feel the the ground beneath me continue and even strengthen in resolve. Holding this man here, would do nothing but protect him from whatever would happen on the outside.

Even as I held the smile. Looking directly at the anger and disgust as I continued to stand against him. I knew he could command the power of the Heavens and Hell to rain down upon me. He shook the very ground beneath my feet! Yet I would not. I had made my decision. I made my choice. If I could not stop him, make him leave, if he would give me no other choice, then I would have to do what I must.

"I shall do what I must."

The bubble faded as the protrusions of the ground came up to meet me. It was easy to jump up above the ground. Even landing upon one of the the blackened spines. Using it as a launching point above his head. Pushing off to perform Falling Avalanche down upon the man. A modification from the Djem-So overhead powerful strike. Aiming not to just strike at the man, but to cleave through him completely.

If I could not hold him, and prevent his powers from affecting the very ground at my feet, then I will follow up on my word.

It was then too late to walk the rooms. How had someone gotten beyond the guards without some kind of notice? Had she been day dreaming too long to hear them? Good grief she was usually better than this.

She looked and moved slowly towards the woman Alwine Daye Alwine Daye she seemed to be reaching for a weapon, just then Venandi Venandi was moving, events and words shot by quickly as the adrenaline began to rise up within all in the room. Faith for a moment covered her ears but could not help but keep her eyes on the woman .

Reason returned at least to one person Denzul Yorkell as he asked the questions. Faith removed her hands and moved closer to hear. Something inside her kept saying go with caution. She didn't know why.

The Royal Guard finally made an appearance inside the room Faith held up a hand to keep them from over reacting, "Search the building for others, and if you find them bring them here." She hoped she didn't have to say don't shoot them. There was a warning already sent out about the young woman there could be more let's be safe than sorry. She made a gesture to keep one guard there. Just in case...

She held her breath as she tried to regain her abilities to speak.

"Everyone is on edge with all that is happening. Who are you, and then why are you here?" Be a negotiator Faith reminded herself be calm find facts do not assume..
