CORPORATION INFORMATION

 • Headquarters: New Plympto
 • Locations: New Plympto
 • Operations: Weapons, Droids, Starships, Vehicles
 • Tier: 3

DESCRIPTION

EODD was founded by Errreembuhr primarily as a means to provide himself and denizens of the galaxy with security and protection from threats on both local and galactic scales. To that end their primary function is as a weapons developer, crafting blaster technology of all types for sale within the more benevolent sectors of the galaxy and to those willing to defend themselves against oppression. As a Metal Lords-affiliated corporation EODD also produces lines of droids and drones for both crew and combat use. Private requests are accepted by management, and discounts are available on bulk orders or to allied organizations.

RATIONALE

With pirates being the reason for his current being, the cyborg Errreembuhr turned his old dream of developing personal weaponry into a desire to produce ships and weapons that could one day be used to protect others from similar criminals. Using his own resources saved over a century and a half, and a sponsorship from the Metal Lord HK-36, he set up base on New Plympto while it was still under droid space, though now the sector belongs to the Free Worlds Coalition. With the discovery of natural ore deposits on the planet mining operations were opened and local refineries. Local workers are compensated fairly for their work and the use of their land from the profits and benefit from the protection given by the local forces manning the facilities. It is now the company’s goal to expand and spread their brand and products to all corners of the galaxy, hoping that the next time an oppressor is overthrown, it will be with an EODD weapon in their hands.

Company / Workshop: Firemane Industries & Technology

Modification Made: Changing HQ, editing locations list.

Adding Locations: Terax, Manas. Expansion thread: Terror on Terax (Terax), Desert Heat (Manas).
Changing Headquarters: Arx Aeternea. Expansion thread: Four of a kind.

Rationale: Firemane built a space station that is designed to serve as a hub and headquarters for the megacorporation. Two new locations were added due to ic threads.

New Submission:

Corporation Name: Firemane Industries and Technology (FIT)

Headquarters: Arx Aeternea

Locations: Arkas, Seltos, Alderaan, Nubia, Terax, Corellia, Dahomey, Arcadia-N-30, Manas.

Operations:
 • Design and manufacturing of military technology (armour, weapons, planetary defences, vehicles, starships etc)
 • Design and manufacturing of civilian technology (consumer goods, electronics, civilian vehicles, luxury spacecraft, cruise lines, speeders etc.)
 • Design and manufacturing of medical technology (cybernetics, clone tissue replacement, medical devices, hospital/ambulance craft, Force healing etc)
 • Mining
 • Exploration
 • Military contracting
 • Construction
 • Exporting exotic foods and pets
Rationale: After stepping down as Lady Protector of the Omega Protectorate, Tegaea Alcori was given permission to form a company encompassing part of Star Corp’s Omega Industries. The idea was that Firemane would eventually expand outside the Protectorate. The Eldorai Queen gave them permission to use Kaeshana as a starting base.

Tier: 6. Firemane is now a truly galactic enterprise.

Restricted Material Specialty: Phrik

Description:
When Tegaea Alcori was nearly killed by the Sith Assassin Kaelin Isandros she was unable to continue her work as Lady Protector of the Omega Protectorate. Forced to resign, and with Siobhan soon following the couple withdrew to the planet of Kaeshana and Tegaea recovered there under the protection of the Queen.

Through almost entirely legitimate means, her and Siobhan Kerrigan had managed to acquire a substantial fortune through her time with Omega Pyre and the Protectorate. Due to clauses in her contract and later agreements she had acquired a percentage of all profits made on Dahomey and Vandelhelm, and even owned stakes in the planets personally. This made it easier to set down roots on Kaeshana and look to the future.

After realising that a life of leisured retirement was not for her just yet, Tegaea created the aptly named Firemane Industries and Technology. With backing from the Eldorai Matriarchy, the company set up a research and military technology division in Santaissa. This was to help the Eldorai catch up to the galactic tech level, but also to provide useful technology to sell to others. The goal of this company was to expand operations on Dahomey and Vandelhelm to other planets and becoming a mining and shipping concern in the Protectorate.

In all, this company had the potential for significant profits and great expansion. Tegaea Alcori became CEO, Siobhan Vice President. Crown Princess Anya Venari served as executive PA and head of operations until she became Queen herself following her sister's assassination.

After Anya Venari took the throne under the regnal name Tirathana VII, Firemane received the full backing of the Eldorai monarchy. It received a mandate to modernise the Eldorai army, expanded its operations into mining, and beyond, forming a profitable business relationship with Salacia Consolidated and the Abregado-Rae Guild of Hammers. Vice President Siobhan Kerrigan's exceptional combat skills earned her considerable profit and new clients. Over time, the firm expanded beyond the Protectorate and added exploration of worlds cut off from the Galaxy by the Dark Ages to its portfolio.

TIER V:
The impending doom of Kaeshana forced Firemane to diversify and expand its operations considerably. Now able to produce giant warships for the Silver Sanctum Coalition, move vast populations, conduct trade deals with Mandalorian and Republic alike, the company had come a long way since its humble beginnings.

Tier VI:

Kaeshana has been destroyed, but thanks to Firemane many Eldorai were saved from the cataclysm. The corporation provides private security, performs mining operations and develops military technology for sale on the market. It has a rather distinct martial culture and heterogenous Force traditions amongst its employees. Owing to the military background of its directors and many senior employees, military ranks are ubiquitous in the company.

Firemane can be described as a hybrid of corporation, Dark Jedi paramilitary force and matriarchal dynasty. Its management operates per the principles of 'maternalist, benevolent despotism'. The company is loyal to its employees', takes care of their needs, welfare and provides educational opportunities for their children, but is rather autocratic. It maintains a nondenominated Forcer programme and has attracted a variety of magi from various Force traditions. Many have ample cause to oppose or hate Sith. Firemane's Force-using arm is called the Order of Fire, which is personally run by Siobhan Kerrigan. Most of its members are Grey Force-users or Dark Jedi.

While its conventional forces are comparatively small, they are well-trained, disciplined, loyal and equipped with a potent arsenal of anti-Forcer weapons, which goes back to the OP background of the corporation's leaders. Moreover, Firemane has recruit native sepoys on worlds such as Tygara and Dahomey to augment its troops. Many of these native recruits are freed slaves, which makes them particularly motivated. On the flip side, though Firemane has strict rules of engagement, it has been accused of having a very militarist culture, as well as acting as a law unto itself.

For a long time, Firemane Industries had a close relationship with the Silver Sanctum Coalition/Silver Jedi Order. For a while, Lady Kerrigan was a member of the Sanctum Assembly before stepping down. Firemane constructed their war fleet, assisted them in their expansionary ventures and in fortifying their worlds. However, relations cooled down after the the Battle of Ruusan, which led to both groups having a parting of ways.

Firemane was an active participant in the First Order-Galactic Alliance War, a conflict that was sparked by a clash between both powers on the desolate wasteland of Kaeshana. Having spearheaded a humanitarian mission to aid the Eldorai who'd been left behind on the planet, Firemane was very invested in combating the First Order and supported the Galactic Alliance in several battles, until the war was ended by treaty.

In present times, Firemane is looking towards new horizons. In particular, its exploration division is being strengthened, as the company intends to explore new worlds on the galactic fringe. Tegaea Alcori took a step back from her duties on the Board of Control to focus on her passion for exploration. Siobhan Kerrigan has overall control as Executive CEO, with Kaylah Danton serving as Vice President. Through the construction of worldships, a command ship and an enormous space station, the company has gone mobile. Recently, Firemane helped the Eldorai and Tygaran natives evacuate Tygara and seek a new future in the stars. This also led to Firemane dismantling its bases on the abandoned planet.

Corporation Name: IGR Brokerage

Headquarters: Malastare

Locations: Azure, Chandrila, Naboo, Elrood, Dulvoyinn, Coruscant, Arcadia-N-30, M'haeli, Gala, Athos IV, Geonosis, Ringo Vinda, Karfeddion, Kriselist, Jabor, Aaris III, Shawken, Sullust, Denon, Lothal, Midvinter, Inysh, Skor II, Abregado-Rae, Alderaan, Terminus

Operations: Real estate brokerage, real estate development (construction), land reclamation, insurance, banking, humanitarian aid, accounting, business conslting

Rationale: Ugohr Poof founded IGR Brokerage as a means of putting the looted money from his campaigns on Malastare and Zaloriis to good use, away from the temptations of the dark side of the Force. He decided that, since he couldn't afford developing real estate projects, even on inexpensive Malastare, he'd simply broker real estate deals instead. Cathul bought the corporation in the wake of Ugohr's arrest, on behalf of Clan Lok. Since Cathul owned the corporation, she greatly expanded their sphereof activity. Now the corporation is also a general contractor as well as a land reclamation company.

Tier: 6

Description: Ugohr was taught that too much liquidities from battlefield loot would render a Jedi vulnerable to turning to the dark side of the Force, so he invested the money in a business venture to stave off the dark side of the Force. Unfortunately, because the sale of lightsabers is highly restricted, Ugohr decided to go into real estate instead. Because, unfortunately, as a Galactic Alliance general, he had a hectic life, Ugohr is simply a stake holder, and has very little actual interaction with the day-to-day operations of the company. Also, IGR Brokerage is part of the GMLS (Galactic Multi-Listing System)

InterGalactic Realty Brokerage, better known as IGR Brokerage, is, simply put, a full-service real estate brokerage firm, where clients will get the best deal possible for their property, either for sale or for lease. With the blessing of the Galactic Alliance, Ugohr was authorized to open the Naboo and Elrood offices, serving the eastern and southern Alliance regions respectively. IGR Brokerage also bought a failing real estate brokerage startup on Coruscant; the One Sith being desperate at the time for fresh economic blood, it looked past the buyer's connections to the enemy, and the nascent Coruscant office, as a result, was playing with fire, until Operation Blackout resulted in an Alliance victory, and now operates without fear during its reconstruction. It will not charge clients any fees until the sale is completed and all fees will be made clear in writing before a client chooses to do business with IGR Brokerage. With IGR Brokerage, rest assured that the desires of clients will be respected to the fullest extent of the law and that properties will be treated with care.

Since Operation Blackout several high-profile properties were sold through IGR, including several secret bunkers and the former IAI corporate headquarters on Kalee. It also sponsors the Outer Rim House Hunter's Show, aired on Gungan-owned Battleon Town News, and is also one of the major parties of the Galactic Alliance Planetary Development Project, with IGR Brokerage pledging to act in its name on Malastare and Dulvoyinn. Also, looking outside Alliance-land, it also opened an office on Arcadia-N-30. Nevertheless, in light of Ugohr's crimes (which have nothing to do with real estate), he felt he had no choice but to sell the stake he used to hold, forcing the company to change hands to Mandalorian interests. Ironically Cathul owning the corporation on behalf of Clan Lok caused the corporation to return to Alliance interests since her operation of the corporation caused her to undertake a journey due to it having developed construction and land reclamation, using it for the greater good of the galaxy. Even after the Alliance collapsed, IGR continued to operate as one of the major financial enterprises in the light-sided world.

Modification Made: Changing Headquarters and Old Locations.

Changing Headquarters: The Void Forge | Zhar - Expansion Thread
Other: Dropping Coruscant and Nubia Locations for Eos and Geonosis

Rationale: Rearranging some locations to reflect the Mechanicum's expulsion from former Metal Lords and Free Worlds Coalition space, and to codify an offer made by the Confederacy government to resettle in the Zhar system.

 • Operations: Starship Manufacturing, Vehicle Manufacturing, Weapons Manufacturing, Robotics
 • Tier: 3
DESCRIPTION
Sharing far more in common with a religious cult than a conventionally run corporation, the Mechanicum is a newly emerged industrial powerhouse operating primarily within the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Founded under the auspices of a recently anointed Metal Lord, Archim Calixis, the manufacturer is comprised of a series of industrial scale spiritual communes devoted to engineering and production as a form of worship. Members of the Mechanicum, known as the Forge-Bound, are predominantly droids and cyborgs, but the organization is noteworthy (even controversial), in its welcoming of baseline organics who they believe genuinely share their faith. Controversial, because voluntary augmentation is promoted so heavily, to the extent that one could say it is necessary for advancement within the hierarchy. Many organics, for good or ill, see the Mechanicum as a "way in" to acceptance among the Metal Lords for those of the flesh.

The Forge-Bound believe in a Machine God, to them an equivalent figure to the Maker, who touches the natural universe through what they call the Motive Force. Worship of this theoretical energy field tuned specifically for mechanical life has drawn significant interest from a sect of Mechanus technomancers who have incorporated themselves into the Mechanicum's hierarchy as a sort of warrior nobility, serving as guards, fixers, and couriers between each commune, or Forge. The vast majority of the Forge-Bound see Archim as a prophet figure, and so for now the organization is run in an authoritarian manner, with an advisory council reporting directly to Calixis, and charged with the responsibility of managing the bureaucracy below them to make the Metal Lord's will manifest.

So far, that will has been to create, everything from ships to speeders to droids to blasters. The only limitation on the Mechanicum's willingness to build is the rate at which it can recruit more bodies. That being said, while the organization is almost pious in its devotion to selling to absolutely anyone, it is also of course subject to the whims of its masters. Much of what it produces for the Confederacy is heavily subsidized, and it likewise offers favorable deals to SoroSuub Corporation and their allies, with whom Calixis has had a prior relationship.

RATIONALE
Formerly a lab director for the research and development division of SoroSuub, when Archim discovered the Council of Sparklords under the ruins of Mechanus as well as a sect of technomancers who shared in his belief in the Machine God, he resigned his position and started a new organization, named for the world upon which he received his revelation. The Forge-Bound of the Mechanicum serve the Machine God above all others, and as long as they believe him to be a chosen servant of this power that means they follow him unquestioningly.

DESCRIPTION
Didact Defense Solutions operates under three pillars: gather, build and defend. It was decided early on that while it would be impossible to become completely self-sufficient (especially in the beginning), it was important to lay down the groundworks from the start.

Its current holdings were chosen for those reasons.

Biewa: One of the many industrial worlds of the Corporate Sector was the perfect place to occupy an abandoned factory plant. A steady stream of credits from Itash ensured that it was restored to proper working order and soon after personnel began to return. The people must eat, after all. Biewa currently functions mostly as a professional restoration, repair and modification center for Didact Defense Solutions, rather than the construction of new designs. This will surely change in the near future.

Bonadan: Located on the crossroads between many important shipping lanes of the Corporate Sector Bonadan was chosen for its ability to attract and retain individuals from every walk of life, its central location with the Corporate Sector and cheap options to hire warehouses for storage. This world has a mid-sized recruiting station in the main starport of the planet, while having several smaller booths in the other starports.

Davirien: A jungle world formerly owned by large medical interests Davirien is unremarkable for the most part. It is for that reason that Didact Defense Solutions picked it as their main training grounds within the Corporate Sector. A facility was constructed in the jungle and the tracks around it have been cordoned off with regular patrols and sparse outposts. After all, it would be a sad affair if some tourists wandered into Didact’s territory and accidentally got killed during a training session.

Atchorb: A regional trade hub due to its positioning between two major lanes within the Corporate Sector Atchorb was a prime choice to expand Didact's recruitment efforts within the Sector. With an eye on an expansion on its mandate in the future Didact Defense Solutions has acquired a well-meshed military facility, recently abandoned by the former security forces of the Corporate Sector. It has been renovated and serves as a medium-grade outpost for Didact in this part of the Corporate Sector.

Tothis: An industrial center of middling stature Tothis is the site of the former Baktoid shipyards and production facilities, before its owner sold the company to Didact Defense Solutions. Didact had little use for the ancient, archaic products and brand that it used to keep and discarded it almost immediately. They sold them off on the open market and used the winnings to expand the facilities and the shipyard extensively. Right now the shipyards and facilities operate under a free trade agreement, where Didact rents out the operations to start-up corporations and design firms that do not have the capital to purchase their own manufacturing centers. Furthermore they are used to repair or refit any vehicles and starships that Didact might operate.

Ord Mantell: Lawless, chaotic and incapable of being brought to order, this is Ord Mantell. Didact Defense Solutions operated here in the past under the contract of the Collective. Their mission was bringing an ambitious smuggling operation to heel and neutralize it, to pave the way for the Collective's expansion northward. Once there Didact made the executive decision to co-opt the operation for its own ends instead of completely destroying it. The Collective considered the contract fulfilled as the smuggling ring was now run by an organization that was amenable to its goals. The smuggling ring mostly operates independently, but accepts directive from Etti. When Didact is in need of equipment, resources while avoiding the public eye, they turn to Ord Mantell for their needs.

Orron III - Previously only known for its agriculture and agrarian community Orron III was the site of a ruthless band of reavers for the past decade by the name of the Sons of the Shard. Utilizing the ancient Data Hub hidden on the world, the pirates used it as their primary outpost to hit trade convoys and other targets within the Corporate Sector. Didact Defense Solutions was contracted out to wipe these pirates out. Once this goal was met they acquired legal paperwork to operate independently on Orron III, establishing an elaborate military outpost to pacify future pirate infestations in that part of the Corporate Sector. Of course, little did the Authority know that the outpost was build on top of the ancient Data Hub it operated about four-hundred years ago.

Lythos System - Down the Bonadan and the Hydian Super-Lane lies the Lythos system. It is known for both its output in agriculture and mining resources, but it is for the latter that Didact turned its eye towards the middling star system. Establishing another frontier outpost to assist with the stability of the system, they sub-contracted the construction of several substantial mining outposts on both Lythos I and XIV, to funnel the minerals and ore back to their refineries and manufacturing centers on Tothis and Biewa. Most of the excess resources are sold back to local manufacturing companies that need it more than Didact does.

Reltooine - Known for its many moons and tourist destinations Reltooine Didact keeps a permanent outpost here to provide security for the station against the usual threats. At the same time Didact invested in entertainment interests within the system, from providing more hands-on security at many of its tourist attractions, casinos and other establishments to beginning the build-up of their own assets in the system. After all, diversification is always a must in the business of making money.

The Thandon Nebula - Much like Didact's interests in Orron III its holdings in the Thandon Nebula are covert in nature. In cooperation with the Corporate Sector Authority the private military corporation began the construction of advanced automated shipyards within the Nebula, after finding and clearing out a large swath of space deep within the Nebula. This was done with expensive S-thread boosters provided and supplied by the Corporate Sector Authority.

Coruscant - As their partnership with Coruscant First increased Didact Defense Solutions established offices on the core world and formed a recruitment post there as well. With the increased tension through the Sith Empire and the dissolution of the Galactic Alliance there were suddenly a lot of veterans in need of steady employment. This is where Didact came in with steady paychecks and large benefits.

The Chiloon Rift - As the expertise of Didact Defense Solutions increased they were increasingly more comfortable in operating in difficult environments. One of which was the Chiloon Rift, a region where the law had a difficult time making its grasp and stellar forces made it difficult to stake out a claim. Utilizing new and cutting-edge tech Didact managed to cut out a piece of territory where they established automated refineries and mining sites for their construction efforts elsewhere.

Muunilinst - Already familiar with investing in new ventures through his noble birth Itash Mecetti decided that Didact Defense Solutions would profit from being more officially involved in such processes. Through cooperation with certain partners in the Saaraishash of the Sith Empire Didact established a stake in one of the many financial sectors of Muunilinst. It now owns a large stake in one of the more established investment firms banked by the Muuns allowing it to expand its profits through boosting corporate interests of their own choosing.

RATIONALE
Didact Defense Solutions was formed shortly after certain events occured on Eshan. Itash Mecetti, exiled nobleman and renowned scholar, found himself suddenly in control of a large detachment of Thyrsians. At first this seemed like good fun, then it became annoying, until Wes (one of his trusty sidekicks) pointed out the benefit of having a small standing army at your call.

Itash, always ready to assist the needs of his fellow sentients, made a decision right there and then. He would utilize their strengths and together they would make a lot of money.

First order of call was capitalizing on his efforts on Arkania. With the sudden access to professional muscle hundreds strong it became trivial to finalize the last stages of his project around the excavation site of a certain Sith library. Rather than restore it… Itash had it ransacked, extracting anything valuable and demolishing the site soon after that to cover his tracks.

Next port of call: the Corporate Sector.

There were other places to visit for a fledgling private military corporation, of course. But there was something brewing there and his luck guided him along.

They found the Corporate Sector different from what Tash could remember.

Much of the order of things were strangely lacking, which concerned him briefly, before Tash realized that this meant he could avoid some of the frustrating bureaucracy.

They comfortably settled themselves in.

Didact Defense Solutions was open for business.

Originally founded as Zaibatsu Banking - founded shortly after the founding of the company then known as Sorenn-Syrush Zaibatsu - on Arkania in Collective Space; it has since come under the ownership of the Thrune Commercial Combine and appropriately reorganized. This company is focused on offering banking services, as well as financial services and collections - often utilizing droids and individuals supplied by House Thrune Incorporated and its subsidiaries in the course of collecting on debts. They are ruthless and meticulous - as their primary focus is on ensuring a steady credit flow and the acquisition of wealth and resources. Further more, Thrune Commercial Combine Banking Clan is the primary financial reserve and institute utilized by the Thrune Commercial Combine to invest in additional ventures, corporations and subsidiaries of the Thrice Damned House of Thrune. Likewise they act very much like a Swiss Bank (or at the least like a bank in the Cayman Islands) and believe that a criminal's credits are just as valuable as the credits of an honest individual.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
..:: Rationale ::..
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Originally founded as Zaibatsu Banking through its parent corporation - then known as - Sorenn-Syrush Zaibatsu; to act as a primary baking facility and subsidiary. It serves as a reserve, with many of the credits that flow into the Thrune Commercial Combine Banking Clan acting to serve additional financial and investment opportunities of the Thrune Commercial Combine. To this end - TCCBC - ensures that it has a continual flow of credits as well as investing in their own ventures to further their capital gains.
Since the death of Amelia Sorenn-Syrush and the fall of House Sorenn-Syrush - many of their former corporation holdings have been rapidly seized and consolidated by the newly risen (colloquially known) Thrice Damned House of Thrune - otherwise simply known as House Thrune. In a bid to further remove the name, House Thrune has begun to rename many of the formerly held Sorenn-Syrush companies by adding the Thrune name in their place.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
..:: Description ::..
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Originally founded as the Zaibatsu Mechanized Group (the now renamed Thrune Commercial Combine Mechanized Group ) in a small start up specifically for the manufacturing of vehicles and repulsorcraft to be utilized by the Thrune Commercial Combine - specifically those individuals acting on their behalf as collection agents. The company itself does not sell its products to the public - as they maintain a perpetual contract with the Thrune Commercial Combine to keep that company and its subsidiaries supplied with vehicles for corporate use only. To this end they are not as many other companies - with some ruthlessly ringing out profit where they can - as much as they are a more benign corporation; as it only exists to product a specific product for a specific company.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
..:: Rationale ::..
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Zaibatsu Mechanized Group was set up to ensure that those individuals that are acting on behalf of Sorenn-Syrush Zaibatsu or its subsidiary Zaibatsu Banking - in their roles as collection agents - were protected with the most up to date military vehicles. Sole intended to provide vehicles only for Sorenn-Syrush Zaibatsu and its corporate holdings - the company focuses only on that specific goal. Unlike other companies that may find their products in the hands of the public, military institutions or other similar organizations, the only way that a Zaibatsu Mechanized Group product is in someone's hands - that aren't specifically given permission or in some way affiliated with the parent company Sorenn-Syrush Zaibatsu or Zaibatsu Banking - is due to such a vehicle being stolen.

Modification Made: Merging Companies, Adding Operations, Adding Locations

Thread: Hopeful Future

Tier Up: V

Adding Operations: Crystal Growing (Crystals & Lightsaber Crystals, Precious Gems), Custom Crystals & Gems

Adding Locations: Commenor, N'zoth, Karavis, Belderone, Rothana, Jaemus, Atlanteen Six

Rationale: Purchased an old company from one of my other characters and merging it with my KDY. Adding ability to grow crystals

New Submission: Archive Galderra Royal Treasury, edit Kuat Drive Yards

Add Description:

Later in the new life under the guide of President Ferron Troste, a major advancement in the company was created by a successful buy out of a larger, slightly mismanaged company called Galderra Royal Treasury. With this new acquisition, Kuat Drive Yards utilized the old companies manpower, resources, and skills to produce new facilities and technology for laboratories and contained environments to start growing crystals and gems. In addition, before anything else was done, some facilities and orbital structures were created or rebuilt to continue Kuat Drive Yards expansion back into the Galaxy.

Specialty: Personal Weapons & Outlaw Tech
Tier: IV

DESCRIPTION

Tricks of the Trade could be considered a prominent Outlaw Tech operation based in the district slums of the bustling ecumenopolis that is Terminus, specialising in the development and sale of unconventional weapons and technology that could hypothetically be considered less-than-strictly-legal in most civilised sectors of the galaxy.

While previously based beneath a fast food diner and noodle bar, the continued growth of the workshop necessitated the move to a much larger headquarters, purchasing a small, disused freight and cargo dock on the lower east side. The fact that this move coincided with some hefty charitable contributions to the local constabulary’s pension fund is likely a happy coincidence, with very little to do with the drop in uniforms assigned to walk the beat in that area.

Now with a much larger space to work with, the workshop has also expanded their operations to include a whole new range of new machinery that have allowed them to experiment and dabble in new areas. A fact reflected in their increasing product line and the gradual usage of more expensive, restricted materials.

Initially employing only a barely handful of individuals, Tricks of the Trade now has just over a dozen technicians and associated support staff working around the clock to fill orders, research new technology and handle the day to day operations whilst its owner continues to travel in the Firefist Galaxy.

RATIONALE

Tricks of the Trade was established as an independent side project of Dashiell Kessler, aimed primarily to help fund his chosen lifestyle and facilitate his love of tinkering. The business itself began as a fairly modest, private endeavor that catered almost exclusively to clients gained by word of mouth, filling perhaps no more than half a dozen orders at any one point in time. It has since expanded rapidly within the Terminus underworld, gaining some notable recognition and a burgeoning client base that now extends throughout the sector.

Corporation Name: Koros Spaceworks
Headquarters: Iron Citadel, Empress Teta
Locations: Empress Teta
Operations: Shipbuilding, Starship Components
Rationale: Koros Spaceworks was, thousands of years ago, a successful shipbuilding company employed by the planet for which it was named. It fueled the military might for the people of Koros Major, known now as Empress Teta, for several thousand years to come, only to eventually fade away from public eye as the corporate giants of the Shipbuilding industry forced them to operate almost exclusively on Teta. Names such as Rendili, Santhe, and Kuat are all but household names now, but companies of the past that played extremely important roles during the times of the old Sith Empire and the successive Brotherhood of the Sith were all but forgotten by all but a few. It was fortunate for the starship manufacturer that during the time of Aleema and Satal Keto, and later their descendant Sebban Keto, the organization and secret society known as the Krath had kept the business afloat as a front for many of their operations. Although the company has since passed on to hands outside of the descendants to the legendary Empress Teta the Krath continued to keep the business afloat until the great Gulag Plague, wherein the company and the majority of the galaxy faced a massive set-back not only in technology but also societal patterns. It was not until the tail end of the virus that the Krath had began their return, with a primary focus on money laundering.

Koros thus saw a minor revival, enough of one to keep it alive from 800 ABY onward, although it was hardly significant and the company never quite recovered from the insult-to-injury it suffered during the four hundred years of darkness, unlike the titans of the current era. More recently, as recent as 840 ABY or even earlier, the Krath had begun undermining the One SIth rule over the planet. The puppet leader of Empress Teta was easily seduced with temptations of permanent office and favors from the corrupt corporate portion of Cinnegar, which was ran primarily by the Krath with little influence from the Sith, whom had taken a hands-off approach to the economy and corporations of their various core worlds. This had gone a step too far following the events of the Netherworld and Akala's brief reign of terror over the galaxy at large, during which the Krath infiltrated much of the government in a similar way to their origins with a similar degree of influence, only with much less credits for their backing. Koros, inversely, continued to suffer while the secret society that used it thrived. This changed soon afterwards following an intervention led by Silara and Alric Kuhn of the Krath Headquarters - the Iron Citadel, center of all government holdings on Empress Teta. With the assistance of the Sons of Titan, Silara and Alric were able to put down the leader of the secret society, only to replace the deceased leader with the woman who had suffered at the hands of the organization - Silara Kuhn. Rather than focus on the petty organized crime that the Krath had been indulging themselves in for decades prior, Silara saw hope for the aged Koros Spaceworks, and set forth to focus on building it up with some assistance from her husband, Alric Kuhn. Ownership has since passed to their twins, Lily and Rose Kuhn, after the presumed death of Silara Kuhn with the company split evenly between the two of them as per stated in her will.

Tier: III

Description:

Ownership: 50% Lily Kuhn, 50% Rose Kuhn

A company that focuses most, if not all, of its efforts on the building of starships ranging from small starfighters and civilian crafts to larger capital ships, Koros Spaceworks is the company that is used as a front by the Krath of Empress Teta. Their products tend to be constructed with heavy armored hulls, appearing larger and more daunting than the norm while also being more sleek and streamlined than usual. The planet operates out of the shipbuilding foundries located on Empress Teta, just outside of Cinnegar on the southern hemisphere. Koros is often unheard of in modern society, having faded from memory as late as 500 BBY, but for those on Empress Teta or enthusiasts of an older era know it for its extremely durable and reliable starships, especially of the capital variant.

Previously owned and led by Eren Jan, a mobster-esque member of the corporate elite and former leader of the Krath, Koros Spaceworks is now in the hands of Silara Kuhn, wife of business titan Alric Kuhn. Her role as a Sith Lord and important figure in the One Sith hierarchy afforded her not only the means to take control of the company, but also to control much of the planet herself. As such Koros Spaceworks builds primarily for the One Sith, although they do sell to the majority of the galaxy as well, being discriminant in payment authorizations rather than following strict loyalties. The company remains to be a private enterprise with shares inaccessible to the public, all investing must go through Misses Kuhn or her assistant, Leena Haven, prior to authorization. All employees of Koros Spaceworks are given access to company insurance after six months of employment, and a retirement plan after ten years.

Following the disappearances of Alric and Silara Kuhn, and their presumed deaths after an announcement by the Yuuzhan Vong that the former was assassinated with friends and family, a will left behind by Silara Kuhn has made explicit mention that the company would be left in a joint ownership with equal shares between Lily and Rose Kuhn which has spurred the company into an entirely new generation of ownership.

DESCRIPTION
Akiratis Industries is an offshoot of Vandiir Consolidated Holdings and serves primarily as its manufacturing arm. Named after the Sith word for "horizon", the company is also involved in a number of research and development projects, from the mundane to the truly esoteric. In a similar manner to its parent company, Akiratis' operations are highly dualistic in that they tend to be a positive influence on "civilised" worlds and peoples, while callously exploiting those they deem unworthy. Despite this, Akiratis is, as a rule, dedicated to minimising the pollution produced by their facilities, regardless of location. While this can certainly be interpreted as benevolence, the harsh truth is that this has more to do with the perfectionism pervading the company, which is heavily encouraged by its administration.

This is further reflected in their products which have a tendency to be better, but more expensive, than the norm. While certainly positive in and of itself, this has led to a culture of perhaps paying a bit too little attention to production costs in comparison to quality, which means that Akiratis products are frequently too pricey for the common man, though there are certainly exceptions.

RATIONALE
As Vandiir Consolidated Holdings grew, the need to compartmentalise for the sake of efficiency became more and more apparent; out of this need sprang Akiratis Industries. Originally inheriting many of the parent company's factories and R&D facilities on Serenno, the new subsidiary quickly expanded to include a wider range of manufacturing than its parent company had ever engaged in. Though originally made up solely of relocated personnel from its parent, the company quickly grew to establish its own recruitment base and even its own corporate culture.

Largely dominated by engineers, researchers, and the like, the company quickly grew to focus less and less on cost, much to the chagrin of VCH's vast Finance division. While the initial leadership tried to counteract this development, the administration committed to a complete reversal of policy after the Arkanian Zira Cado was placed in charge by direct order of Adrian Vandiir. A capable engineer in her own right, the newly minted Director Cado actively promoted this culture of uncompromising perfectionism, putting it to good use as the company expanded to Umbara in an attempt to acquire and adapt to their own needs the natives' particular brand of high-technology.
