Commenor Liberation Ceremony

Wel, Xi is stil stuck playing cat&mouse in the city.

Also, vhile the sentiment is nice, i dont see the point in inviting yor enemys to a victory celebration. Nor is it realistic. If she cant complete her mission (and by now its obvius she cant), Xi wil just go to ground until she can jump out.

And yea, Tathra is right... execution wuld be the most logical thing for [member="Lady Kay"] to do to her enemys. Sends the right message.

[member="Natalija"] - The enemies will be getting an OOC award ;)

All others will be getting both IC and OOC.

Executions are still off the table :p

<--- Proof that executions aren't flawless.

We're also #Team Lightside, We can't really execute someone who technically came to aid the First Order people whom were already planet-side and held an Embassy on Commenor like so many other factions have. [member="Kyrel Ren"] is a political prisoner for the time being, who will eventually see his way back to the First Order lol.

[member="Veiere Arenais"]

Oh sure... see his way back, so he can atack you agen! And refine his metods. Briliant tactical thinking XD . Any wonder vhy i dont like playing Jedi-types :p . Too idealistic for my taste, vhich is why they alvays get there asses kicked in the end. Wars are won by being ruthles and relentless. One of the first things i got hamered in-to me, vhen i joined the army.

This is why Jedi, politicians and monarchs shuldnt be leading any war eforts XD .

But heyy, dont let me stop you... I am on the "bad" side, so... works to our advantage! Thanx!

Some of the greatest achievements in history have been built on top of said ideals. I have to keep the faith, remain optimistic even when others cannot see it. Violence begets violence, hate cannot be defeated with hatred. Nothing can change if only repeating the same behavior of our aggressors, sometimes the Galaxy needs be shown a different way.

<3 the Jedi Ideals.

[member="Natalija"] - The power of influence far surpasses military might. You'd be amazed at how many baddies I've befriended...lol

I might also add that if Kyrel would be executed as you suggest. The Knights of Ren although a very secretive cult of Force Users no doubt there would be retribution in the case of such an execution.

Well lets be honest, realistically befriending baddies isn't realistic. This is a sandbox, things happen at the will of writers even if they shouldn't. Not to mention [member="Veiere Arenais"], you can't stop anything truly menacing with a handshake. Like, Hitler or Thanos or the Emperor.

Anything truly cruel can't be stopped with optimism. That's why the Jedi views don't work for War, not really.

[member="Natalija"] could you edit your post please? We have always taken care of our people and had poverty gone. Everyone had livable wages with free healthcare and education. Plus we have not just taken care of the wealthy sectors and left others to rot. There is construction happening everywhere.

Thanks :)

That wuldnt be very realistic wuld it? A rich trade-world, not having slums and poverty. Theres always someone vho gets trampled over, in order for the rich, to be rich. Theres no London w/o Soho. Theres no NYC w/o Bronx. Same as in our world. Thats like saying Coruscant dont have the Under-city.

Plus, that wuld mean re-doing the vhole post (and the first one, vhich i'm suprised you didnt reakt). If you mentioned that earlyer (or if you can link to that), I'l re-do the post.

"Everyone had livable wages with free healthcare and education".

Commenor has always been about putting the people first. There are certainly those that live in better conditions than others, but poverty has never been an issue before, hence "livable" wages.

That said, given recent events, almost anything is possible.

TL;DR - Your post is fine.

Edited: Emphasis on recent events makes the concept of poverty and low standard living very plausible.

[member="Veiere Arenais"] Hehe, i can imagine. Most of the RPs ive read acros here, are more about making things idealized then striktly realistic. Not saying its a bad thing, but I just look forvard to introdusing the "other side" of the coin, in-to all that. No place is a paradise, evry place has its ugly side, and that shuld be the case in SW universe, as wel (and it is, just take a look at Coruscant, the richest vorld in SW, its far from a paradise).

Plus... playing in paradise must be boring as hell! :D

Given we've just taken the world back from a year long occupation, I can totally see it lol.

Though we're not as worse off than the Sith hoped we would be, I'm still going to need to rework our budget :p

We worked hard through the years on Chaos to build the society of Commenor into a poverty free zone with very low crime rate. Commenor could afford the luxuries of livable wages, healthcare and education because of it's low population (when compared to city worlds like Coruscant) and it's booming trade economy. It wasn't done overnight.

Although with the Sith occupation, much of that was stripped away. We are rebuilding and slowly working towards regaining what we had.

I'm at work, so I'm just skimming through posts quickly.

Propoganda is fine and dandy, but assumptions of fact should be left to us, unless discussed beforehand. We've got plenty of threads supporting our claims to how Commenor society functions. Don't want to handwaive them as though they never happened ;)
