Carnifex endured Siv's onslaught. The Mandalorian caught himself wondering, for a fraction of a second, if he had overestimated himself.
No fear, he thought as he steadily squeezed the trigger. Although the Sith continued to block and redirect the bolts, they were being inaccurately sent towards Siv. He was beginning to notice that the Dark Lord
could not see him, or at least was having some difficulty in ascertaining his position. Was Carnifex blind? The connection between the mask and the Force -- and Siv's own trakar armorweave -- dawned on the Mandalorian.
The Sith counterattacked, emitting lightning from his fingertips. The direction was not towards Siv at all, but he saw as spider-like tendrils began to dance towards his comrades. He had a moment to act, a fraction of a second, and he threw himself at the Sith Lord's lightning, a shield for his brethren.
Lightning coursed through Siv's body as he crashed to the ground, bending to one knee as agony overwhelmed him. Electric grounding sinks and dispersion prevented an immediate sacrificial death, but he could feel his beskar plating begin to heat up. Panic threatened to surge through the Mandalorian, but he swallowed it down. Nearly blinded by the agony, he raised his head towards his foe. In this moment, hand extended, Force Lightning bounded from the Dark Lord; his guard appeared lowered.
Screaming with the effort, Siv raised both of his hands. With his right hand, he fired his sonic blaster, squarely aimed at the Sith's center of mass. With his left, he fired his whistling birds rockets, a full complement of twelve spiraling rapidly in random patterns, curving inwards to ultimately strike towards their target: Carnifex. It was an immense bid that somehow, Siv could score a hit and save his own life. In the back of his mind, he urged Carduul to take the advantage and get the rest of them out of there.
Faint rumbles began to shake the ground as above them, Romul Saxon's fleet had
opened fire onto the nearby industrial sector.
