SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Targeting Mode(s):
    • Ship-to-ship: Ship-to-ship targeting mode covers engaging of targets in space by a launch platform in space.
  • Guidance Mode(s):
    • Active Homing:
      • Pre-launch: The pod downloads sensor data, targeting and tracking information of the target as well as the IFF codes of all friendly assets in the area from the launch platform before launching.
      • Launch: The pod acquires a sensor lock on target and begins accelerating toward the target.
      • Midcourse: Using active sensor and scanner data from its own sensors, the pod determines whether to pursue the target or to attempt to intercept the target's path of motion and adhere to its hull by assessing whether an intercept and attachment is possible without being detected. At this stage, the pod can switch to Return Home mode if the amount of interference is too high such that it loses its original target. The presence of hostile point-defense is also checked for, determining what if any terminal phase maneuvering the pod carries out. At any point during the midcourse phase, if the target is lost, the pod defaults to inertial delayed active guidance mode.
      • Terminal: The pod either adjusts it's velocity to match the target's to follow it or intercepts the target and adheres to its hull as per whatever decision was reached by the missile in the midcourse phase.
    • Control Guidance:
      • Pre-launch: The pod downloads sensor data, targeting and tracking information of the target as well as the IFF codes of all friendly assets in the area from the launch platform before launching.
      • Midcourse: The pod receives updated targeting and tracking information from the launching platform via an encrypted frequency hopping comms link. Using active sensor and scanner data from its own sensors, the pod determines whether to pursue the target or to attempt to intercept the target's path of motion and adhere to its hull by assessing whether an intercept and attachment is possible without being detected. The launch platform can still override any of these decisions manually, however. The presence of hostile point-defense is also checked for by the pod's sensors, determining what if any terminal phase maneuvering the pod carries out, though the launch platform can change this at any point during the midcourse phase. If at any point in the midcourse phase the pod loses communications with the launch platform, it reverts to Return Home protocol.
      • Terminal: The pod either adjusts it's velocity to match the target's to follow it or intercepts the target and adheres to its hull as per whatever decision was reached by the missile in the midcourse phase.
    • Return Home:
      • Midcourse: If the pod switches to return home mode during the midcourse phase, it will chart a course back to the vessel that launched it by locating the ship's IFF and then charting a course to it.
    • Inertial Delayed Active Guidance: Utilizing a laser gyroscope system to calculate distance travelled, the pod checks it against the previously computed distance to target and then changes to active homing mode. This is useful for engaging targets at the end of the pod's range band, where its sensors, scanners and tracking systems may not be accurate enough to maintain a good lock and track.
  • Out of Fuel Protocol: If following a target, and in danger of running out of fuel, the pod will engage the Return Home protocol.
  • Launch Mode(s):
    • Standard Launch: If not loaded into a mass-driver missile launcher, the pod can still be launched normally.
      • Hot: The container's gasses are vented and the pod's engines are activated straight away following the pre-launch sequence.
      • Cold: The pod is cold launched from its container out of the tube using gas expansion before the pod's engines are activated.
    • Magnetically Accelerated Launch:
      • Hot: The pod is magnetically accelerated out of the launch tube and then immediately activates its engines.
      • Cold: The pod relies on initial launch velocity from the magnetic launch system to close the distance during the launch and mid course phase before activating its engines on full burn in the terminal phase.
  • Sensor, Scanner and Tracking Suite: The Tra'kal creates a composite sensor picture by cross checking data from all of its sensors when in guidance modes where it actively uses the to acquire/track targets.
  • Propulsion and Maneuvering:
  • Security:
    • Tamper Detection: Any attempt to reprogram the pod including through the use of Mechu Deru and similar abilities will result in the missile triggering a micro-ion charge to fry its own circuits.
    • ADT-02M HRR 'Cabur' Automated Defense Turret: The pod stores a Cabur ADT in it's lower portion, and if the pod is engaged, it will deploy the turret.
  • Defenses:
  • Communications Suite:
STRENGTHS
  • Large Fuel Reserves: The pod contains enough fuel reserves to allow the pod to follow enemy vessels for virtually as long as the launch platform could possibly require.
  • Stealthy: The pod's small size, stealth suite, stealth coating and low profile engines allow it to maintain an extremely low sensor profile while also being extremely if not leaning toward impractical for all but the most advanced sensor suites to detect and track.
  • Agile: Despite the pod's ungainly appearance, its vectored thrusters allow the pod to reach extremely high velocities and remain highly maneuverable at those velocities.
  • Extreme Range: The Nuhaatyc Chekar has an extremely long engagement range thanks to its long-range sensor and scanner suite as well as its long-range communications suite, allowing it to pick up targets at extreme distances or receive a control signal from its launch platform at extremely long distances.
  • Force Suppression: The Nuhaatyc Chekar's party piece is its ability to suppress if not outright cut off force use in a very large radius around each pod thanks to the Ysalamiri safely stored in the company's own specialized packs.
  • Resilient: The pod's Stesr'gar frame and hull as well as its composite armor plate make it a tough nut to crack, requiring ded
WEAKNESSES
  • Fuel Detonation: The pod's large fuel reserves are a ticking time bomb till used considering that all it would take is a single good penetrating shot to set it all off.
  • Life Form Scanners: Advanced models of life form scanners have the capability to pick up life forms while bypassing stealth technology, and the Nuhaatyc Chekar is not an exception to this rule.
  • Unguided Weapons: If picked up by a life form scanner, and while the pod is adhered to a ship's hull, it is vulnerable to unguided weapons brought to bear by crew attempting to dislodge and or destroy it.
  • Double Edged Sword: Just as the Nuhaatyc Chekar is able suppress if not outright cut off force use in a very large radius, the Ysalamiri onboard do not distinguish between friendly and hostile force use.
  • Jamming: Concentrated jamming can cause the pod to lose the target, forcing it to switch to Return Home protocol and return back to the launch platform. The crew would then have to recover and refuel the pod before it could be theoretically used again.
DESCRIPTION
"We don't even know if it is real."
"We can't take that chance. If that shabla thing is real, we need to be ready. I'm authorizing production."
- Breshig War Forge Consolidated CEO Shuklaar Kyrdol Shuklaar Kyrdol and Strill Securities Fleet Admiral Nyles Kote Nyles Kote discussing the necessity of the Nuhaatyc Chekar-class Nullification Pod in the light of the existence of the pod's intended targets.

Breshig War Forge Consolidated has always been on the cutting edge of anti-force user measures, born and driven out of an almost ingrained distaste that many Mandalorians have for force users. The company's Kayrii III facility has yielded sufficient quantities of voidstone for various other weapon systems, including the company's voidstone suppression missile that serves a similar purpose to the Nuhaatyc Chekar. As force suppression went, however, nothing could match the sureity of the Ysalamiri, especially if subtlety was less important than effectiveness. The Nuhaatyc Chekar, however, was an expensive design that company leadership never saw the necessity of. The pod remained as a single prototype locked away till dismantling it and reusing the components elsewhere became a more economical option.
That was until scattered intelligence reports picked up reports of a new Sith warship, one with a number of force enhanced systems. The warship was already enough of a concern given that it was a veritable super-dreadnought the likes of which had never been seen before, but its other capabilities brought a lot of previously shelved projects back into consideration. One of those projects was the Nuhaatyc Chekar.
Updated with new guidance protocols, engines, communications, sensors and scanners that came with the company's modernization of their missile arsenal, the Nuhaatyc became am extremely agile system that had the capability to reach out and 'engage' targets that were at extreme distances from its launch platform. The Nuhaatyc's fuel load enabled it to not just adhere to the hull of its targets but alternatively follow the target for virtually as long as the crew of its launch platform saw fit. The pod's stealth features gave it significantly better than average chances of survival in both cases.
The initial production run brought an update to the design; the inclusion of a Cabur ADT armed with a pair of heavy repeating rippers. The Cabur was added on when it was brought up that hostile infantry could very search for and locate the Ysalamiri aboard the pod with an advanced life form scanner and engage the pod with unguided weapon systems. The pod's vast fuel reserves at this juncture become a disadvantage, as all it would take is a single penetrating shot to detonate any remaining fuel.
The biggest disadvantage of the Nuhaatyc Chekar from the company's perspective is its cost and only twenty four of the pods were made. Production could of course be restarted to replace losses, but once more, at notable expense. To prevent unnecessary losses, the pods feature a Return Home protocol that allows them to return to the launch platform to be recovered if they ever lose their target, as the pods are still susceptible to electronic warfare when in active guidance mode. This protocol is also automatically activated if the pod loses signal to the launch platform when in Control Guidance mode.
The pods are, however, also a double edged sword. With many of the company's clients having no small amount of force users, there's nothing to stop the pods from affecting friendly force users. The consensus among the company's leadership however is that desperate times call for desperate measures.
