SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Resilient: Built to last, the bay lives up to it's namesake, literally serving as a stronghold for craft to take refuge in. It's construction allows to resist a wide variety of damage sources found both and off the battlefield.
  • Secure: With an advanced security system and point-defense turrets, each bay is well protected against a variety of different threats.
  • High Degree of Automation: The high degree of automation reduces crew requirements and fatigue, freeing up crew for more critical tasks.
WEAKNESSES
  • Close the Blast Doors: Should the bay's magnetic field and backup fail, then the blast doors will automatically begin the sealing process. In such an event, any craft not already inside will be locked out.
  • High Degree of Automation: While freeing up the crew's attention for more critical tasks, the high degree of automation means that there's a lot of Ion/EMP vulnerable equipment in the bay.
  • Large, Cavernous Space: While very well defended, the deployment bays are still massive mostly empty spaces. While difficult to infiltrate, they still provide the best avenue of entry for potential saboteurs and infiltrators.
DESCRIPTION
"When your enemies think you're a lone Adenn Kyr'am, you'll have everything you need to make sure it's their last mistake."
-Strill Securities Fleet Admiral Nyles Kote during a speech to new ship commanders
In order to cut down operations and maintenance costs for smaller vessels serving as fleet escorts, torpedo boats, pickets and the like, Breshig War Forge developed the Me'sen Morut, or starship haven in basic. The Me'sen Morut was designed to be a modular system, just like the Can'gal Morut it that served as the basis for much of its design. Just like the Can'gal Morut, the Me'sen Morut's smallest configuration supports a single craft, a corvette in this case. The bay can be scaled up as per requirement, adding on multiple interconnected bays to the mounting platform as per space allowances.
The bay features a tractor and catapult pressor array, allowing for quick and easy launch and recovery of vessels, without forcing the crew of the vessel to go through complicated docking and launch maneuvers. Additionally, cargo handling as well as loading and unloading of spare parts and ammunition is automatically handled, greatly reducing the turn around time for each vessel stored in the bay. Additionally, like the Can'gal Morut, the bay itself is extremely resilient to all forms of damage that might be encountered on the battlefield, and also features the company's top of the line security system. A quartet of HAC-03H emplacements augment the Aran'iik emplacements in either dissuading or potentially neutralizing any unauthorized approaches, whether they be attack runs or boarding attempts.
Like the Can'gal Morut, the large empty space still provides one of, if not the best avenue of entry for potential saboteurs and infiltrators. Additionally, should the blast doors need to close to seal the bay in an emergency, vessels being stored in that bay are all the more likely to be stranded outside. Though this is less of a problem in the Me'sen Morut's case, seeing as almost all corvette tonnage vessels possess their own hyperdrives. Finally, the high degree of automation means that in the much larger more open bay, there is just as much if not more Ion/EMP sensitive equipment. These flaws, however, are largely part and parcel of any deployment bay, and the Me'sen Morut is a product the company is proud to have on offer.
