Boldly They Rode and Well [OP vs Fringe on Kayri]

@[member="Knight"]

Oh, so the hair was alive, was it?

As the hair wrapped around her knife and wrist, and as the spines began to pierce her skin and flesh, Rave gritted her teeth and activated the taserblade, using her powers of the Dark Side to preserve herself from the electricity as if she was conjuring it herself. Thousands of volts slammed into and through the hair, streaking down its bubblegum length to Knight's skull. But then the hair was a tentacle, and Knight was a vaapad, and Rave was quite happy to do what Knight expected. As her taserblade's vibro function forced the tentacle to fall away from her bloody hand, she blocked tentacle after tentacle with the Derriphan's Eye.

A knife glistening with the Zerek Strain. Gross anatomical realignment skills did not equate to perfect knowledge of the microbial within one's circulatory system. And the Zerek Strain was not especially virulent - no visible signs, no burning, no numbness, no real risk of death. Twenty-four hours of mildish flu-like symptoms to saturate the body with slowly increasing amounts of the Sith Poison produced by the bacteria.

She could walk away now, but that would let Knight know that something had been accomplished. So far as an observer could tell, she was just blocking tentacle strikes with an alchemical dagger. But back off she did, as if driven back-

Until she got enough space to connect with the blood trail she'd left on the SRR-01 assault rifle, a rifle she'd discarded when its blaster cell ran out.

It had been a ruse. The SRR-01 had two barrels and two power supplies. The secondary barrel, empowered through a Ssi-Ruuvi enteched cell, was a paddle beamer. The weapon turned to face them between the rocks and fired its silent, continuous beam, unblockable by lightsabre and bringing instant paralysis to whatever limbs it touched. And Knight had quite a lot of limbs right now.

The woman was confident, he would give her that and she was not even that ugly. If this had not been a battlefield he would probably have tried to seduce the redhead. But if Jared was anything, he was dutiful. He would not try to run off with a pretty gal' while he was waging war or defending against warmongers for that matter. Might be that after the battle there would be some time to make her.. acquaintance. “Today is a good day to die, pretty lady. But I think you have it backwards.” he said to her with one of his charming smiles. “If anyone will be meeting her maker today, it will be you.”

Stepping out into the open, he studied his opponent for a while never letting his guard down. This would have been the perfect moment for one of her grunts to take a shot at him, little would they know that he was prepared for that. “Why not just lay down your sabre now? Maybe I will take you out to dinner after this game is over.”

Not that he actually expected her to do that, it was simply a game for him. Might be he would lose today, or might be he would win. In the end it was all the same to him, the only thing he cared for was the survival of the Fringe. This duel was a perfect time sink, while they were hitting it off trying to kill each other. The Fringe would steadily gain the better edge, he was but one man – as such he did his best to help out where he could.

THE BATTLEFIELD
OBJECTIVE: FRAG OUT, YO

@[member="Haven Pryde"]

It was absolutely remarkable that Haven had managed to pull a suit of armor and a helmet out of nowhere, despite neither of these things being mentioned previously throughout the entirety of the engagement. How she managed to do as much when it was previously and explicitly mentioned that she was wearing clothes since her arrival was a fundamental mystery to Hannibal, but it wouldn't save her. She continued her ridiculous acrobatic shuffle, once again dodging a blaster bolt. Only now that she was doing it in armor, it would be much more tiring.

Breath control wouldn't help her now. The ForceBreaker was already in her system and would remain there for the better part of four hours. Hannibal watched as she cunningly hid behind a downed walker. Hannibal emitted a derisive, contemptuous snicker. He had this broad on the ropes, despite her random armor generation. She was hopelessly outmatched. Now that she was far away, Hannibal took the opportunity to scoop up both of her lightsabers. He couldn't use them, obviously, but he wasn't about to let high-quality equipment just be left laying around the battlefield. Collectors might pay a decent Credit for them as well.

With that done, Hannibal retrieved a thermal detonator and chucked it at the walker. It hit the walker with a clang before immediately exploding upon impact. That would drive Haven out of cover, if not render her unconscious from the sheer force and heat of the explosion.

Noah looked back and saw Haven engaged in combat with some man. He quickly turned tail and ran from Rolland and towards Hannibal and Haven. Once he got a few feet away,Noah pulled a thermal detonator and rolled it so it would land between his feet and then pulled his revolver and fired three shots towards him to make him decide on the grenade or slugs.

(OOC: Sorry @[member="Noah Corek"] but due to a whiner I am afraid this battle has ended so I am running to get clear away, I'll be back before the end to take care of business.)

Looking to noah she got away from the vehicle and used her speed to dash away, she was not in the mood to take on a bounty hunter but she would remember his name for later hunting, as she ran she remembered to make new sabers and take a limb from him.

"Run little rabbit, run back to your hole." The first words Rolland had said to Noah in their entire fight, he had proven his might against a commando of thirteen years and stood the victor. But it wasnt over yet, the job was far from over. They had a planet to save for the fringe. The fringe of all people who they were constructed to fight against, not this dying race of desperation and feebleness. He would find out later why Czars Three and Four were here but for now they had to press the counter attack.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend, Rolland thought to himself but the thinking would wait the fleeing Noah had thrown a grenade along with a few shots his way and he had to move quickly to avoid getting hit. Running back the bullets grazed and lodged themselves in his armor, it was taking a hell of a beating today and no doubt he would need a replacement set from Junbai. He never much liked getting new armor, he always just liked to stick with what he had if possible he would request his current issue be repaired.

Continuing to run back Rolland picked up his IAS smart rifle and dove so the explosion would pass over him. And after it had Rolland stood victorious in this small battle. Now it was time to fight and assist the fringe in their defence. Noah had tucked tail and ran but he was far from done with the people at this star port. Grabbing his rifle and cleaning it off he slung it and got ready to engage a few more omega forces @[member="Noah Corek"]

She could only laugh, shaking her head. Grabbing her blaster from the hostler on her hip, taking aim at fringer standing before her. "First off, you couldn't afford me. Secondly....talk is cheap. My time isn't. So I'm done talking. But, please, feel free to continue. I'll be sure to get some good target practice....using your head." She pulled the trigger a few times, firing shots at his body rather than his head. After all, the chest was a bigger target and easier to hit than one's head. Nonetheless, the fight was on, but she had no intention of dragging this out. There was someone much stronger beyond this one. And that was who had her true attention..

Traversing Otherspace

"Come fly with me, let's fly, let's fly away!
If you can use some exotic booze,
there's a bar in Llon Nebulae,
come fly with me, let's fly, let's fly away."

Dissero's voice boomed, echoing through the Charon as they streaked through Otherspace, the colors of distant star systems and nebulae blazing past the viewport.

The Pilot exchanged a glance with a nearby Scientist who, in turn, shrugged. Dissero persisted, arms outstretched, singing.

"Come fly with me, let's float down to Xolu,
In yahk-tosh land there's a one-man band,
and he'll play a tune for you,
come fly with me, let's take off in the bluuuueeee-"

In a harmonious replay of his first heist with the great whiphid, the man waxed loquacious as the ship sailed through wormholes at speeds incomprehensible, routes unchartable.

"Once I get you up there where the air is rarified,
We'll just glide, starry-eyed.
Once I get you up there I'll be holding you so near,
You may hear angels cheer 'cause we're together."

"Weather wise it's such a lovely day,
You just say the word and we'll beat the birds,
Down to South Ataria Bay,
It's perfect for a flying honeymoon they say,
Come fly with me - pack up!
Let's fly awaaaaaaay."

Hannibal gave a hearty laugh as Haven bolted from cover, running like the craven she was. Was this what the Protectorate had come to? Shoddy pirates who couldn't keep hold of their lightsabers? He didn't bother shooting her in the back. The cowardly woman simply wasn't worth the price of a well-placed blaster bolt. Hannibal was prepared to sheathe his blaster and find someone else to rout when he saw someone running towards him out the corner of his eye. He recognized Corek immediately. They had crossed paths on one occasion, while Hannibal was acting as a bodyguard to BlasTech CEO Cade Lee. Corek had come into BlasTech's headquarters, yelling and screaming like a maniac. Then he proceeded to verbally spar with Mr. Lee. That entire dialogue had been stunning proof that Corek knew absolutely nothing of the fundamentals of business or exactly how important he was in terms of the Galactic schemes of things. Which was to say, not important in the least bit.

Hannibal had been subtly ordered to beat the ever-living snot out of Corek by Cade during their meeting, but he never got the chance to, as Corek mysteriously vanished from the thread after he stopped posting. Hannibal had made plans to visit Corek on another occasion, but never got around to acting on them. Now the stars had aligned, and Hannibal's prize now barreling towards him like the unsophisticated simian he was. Another mook to send scurrying back to mother. And Hannibal was just getting warmed up- Corek had already had engaged in two other fights. This would be like taking candy from a baby. And then round-house kicking that baby in the face. For justice.

Hannibal watched as Corek barreled over to him, withdrawing a thermal detonator and... Rolling it? That decision didn't make any sense to Hannibal, but the Fondorian wasn't just going to sit there and wait for the thermal detonator to reach him. Hannibal then observed as Corek whipped out some sort of primitive weapon and took aim. Between the thermal detonator and the slugs, Hannibal chose neither. This was largely because he had the capacity to. The bounty hunter fired up his jetpack, using it to climb up and away from the thermal detonator, jamming his pistol back in its holster as he did so. He kept mobile, hearing the slugthrower shots whiz by him after the grenade detonated and left scorched earth where he had once been.

Hannibal paused mid-air, using the jetpack to keep him hovering a few meters in the air. Hannibal had the high-ground now. He yanked the BTI-CC13 off of his back, leveled it at Corek, and proceeded to unleash a torrent of blaster bolts upon the Omegan. Accuracy was not required. The sheer volume of blaster bolts would hopefully force Corek into retreat.

Zaiden raised a hand and planted his own telekinesis above himself, countering the crushing pressure before it could do anything. Remaining invisible, Zaiden hurled his whip into the air and held it with his telekinetic grip. Slowly stepping onto the first stair, then the next, he kept his eyes on the young woman as he walked. Soon enough his whip neared his opponenet and drew back to crack loudly at her face.

@[member="Isis Fontana"]

Using her wits she stared intently into the darkness and twirled around the invisible whip yet it still grazed her shoulder leaving a flesh wound on her shoulder blade, while her cryo powers are still activated she held out her hand and drew on the mystical energies of cryokinesis and began to fill the hallways with a vaporizing mist that allowed sight to the sightless.

As she quickly pours more cryo mist in the hallway she can slowly make out the armor clad cyborg who used to be her mentor, right then is where things just got interesting.. sending a force throw toward him she held it as she allowed for it to gain in strength and then sent it barrelling at him hoping it would be enough to get him to rethink his strategy.

"Nice ploy Zaiden, but your whip is no match" she toyed and sneered.

(All human now lol.)
The woman happened to avoid the main brunt of Rose's attack, probably thanks to the audible crack that was evident. But she did not take the freedom wholly, for the tip still struck her. Next the woman threw out her hands, and a slow mist began to form. To counter the position revealing attack, Zaiden called back his Amphistaff and squeezed her tail tight. When the rigidity shifted to the form of a staff, he began to spin her, slow at first but with growing intensity.

Quickly though he removed his hold, and shifted to telekinesis to continue the staff's spinning. Picking it up more and more, Zaiden was able to achieve the effect he wished, for the mist was blown away. The Push emanating from his spinning weapon began to battle the one thrown by his opponent. Barely did it manage to best it, if not for having begun before the initial attack, it wouldn't have sustained itself.

Gripping his staff again, he jerked her to a stop and tickled behind her head to signal returning to her whip form. The tail loosely draped along the floor as he stared at the woman for a moment. Reaching further into the force, Zaiden gathered more energy. He would end this with one attack, if all went well. Using Force Cloak while gathering surplus energy now being a well versed talent.

(you're confusing lol)

Holding her throw she found this one would be a hard battle to manage without her weapons, so this would become her undoing and a failure...unless she took out her trained weaponry.
Reaching to her back as she glared into the darkness once more she pushed a switch on her back harness and took out her trusty saber staff, the bad thing about a whip is that you need distance to use it.. not much use from close quarters.

Walking up to him fast she used her keen senses to depict his next action, even though it wasn't an exact science it still could be done, even so she would die trying.. sprinting she jumped through the air at the last moment and vaulted herself almost in flight past where she thought he would be while allowing her acrobatics to guide her and activated her staff, she thrust it at him trying to graze his armor to figure out what she can and cannot do to it, if it's saber proof there is not much she could do.

Flipped in the air she landed and twirled her staff and her heel as she quickly threw herself into the foray of battle, finding the dark side now guiding her actions she swung her staff at where she thought he was in a sideways slash and weaved around trying to give him a very small target.

Zaiden slid to the side, letting the flying woman pass him and avoid him with her blow. She was good at guessing his general area, but the best of the best hunters - master force users among them - had tried following Zaiden, and they always failed. The only man whom could best him at Stealth was Ember Rekali, a fellow master whom was great with stealth but better with physical enhancements. It wasn't until he used the Dathomiri Blood Ritual that made it so there was no where he could hide that the Elder couldn't follow. But even that hadn't ended with Zaiden's utter defeat.

Isis was clearly under the belief that his amphistaff was a typical whip, in short range combat as well as long range Rose Whip would be beyond useful. She was a living being, capable of bending and twisting her body to follow his commands. Moving his arm quickly, Rose moved and blocked the sweeping blow made by the brunette. Next he drew his arm reverse and upwards, intent on having the whip swing up to cut the woman's face.

All the while hidden from sight still, Zaiden was sure the damage would be even harder to avoid in close combat.

(Lol nice to know)

Her mind buzzing with activity as her senses alerted her to the danger she was in, she smirked and held her position daringly, one thing about Isis was she was gutsy but also foolish so this would either work, or it would fail...either way she had to try..gathering the force around her she smirked sadistically as her eyes glowed a brilliant icy in distortion and she held out her iced over hand to try and freeze the weapon enough to where she could alter her own position in the battle.

Seeing as the ice on her hands and arms only grew in density she smirked and twirled the blade in her arm to call forth her next moved, gaining momentum she watched the piercing darkness and with the assistance of her cryo powers she sent a throw at him as his whip somehow was barelling at her trying to cause the whip to slow down enough to see what it actually was, maybe if she could see it she could know how to counter the weapon.

The throw mixed with cryo energies would need to be sent fast and so it was, rocketing at her foe she watched as her own powers flew toward the danger.

(Having issues focusing lol)

The woman was splitting her power to thinly, she was a cryo specialist so that was where the danger truly lay, but combined with sending against 3 different points was not enough. Letting the ice begin to settle along his body, Zaiden dropped his Force Cloak and powered the rest of his strength behind his swing, he watched the whip continue towards the woman's lower limbs. It was now to close to avoid, but she could shift to avoid utter dismemberment (lol you should have avoided that better. Even felt like I should give you an idea to avoid it).

Then to follow up, Zaiden let loose the tiniest trickle of he gathered power to create friction in the air molecules causing heat that melted the ice, once again loosening his body. With nothing to reveal his presence again, he vanished once more and moved down slightly then next to her (a few steps directly behind you). Now he once more swung the rose whip, this time though from the reversed grip. Instantly Rose would know to bite at the woman. Concentration went to hiding the staff more then himself, if she felt a warning from the force it would only be enough to avoid contact with major points.

This battle was going south and quickly. She had chosen close combat against a Stealth Master, equipped with one of the deadliest Vong weapons - poison and strength wise. Could she have truly expected to best him? He honestly wondered.

@[member="Isis Fontana"]

(LOL You're so evil. :p)

Sidestepping the weapon as he swung it at her her kneecap was grazed and the flesh and clothing torn, she watched him vanish again and flipped up the stairs to provide for distance since she had no honest idea what she was getting herself into, yet the weapon once again was sent her way and brushed against her body, once again pain tore through her body as the whip grazed against her.. this was going very badly for her.

Grabbing a cryoban grenade from her belt she activated it and lobbed it at him within a couple seconds of the detonation, suddenly a crackle and BOOM erupted as the grenade froze everything in it's path but it would not last, it quickly melt away but not that quickly.. so she did the only thing she could do.

Using her body to gather the force she sent a single arc toward his leg of lightening, she was failing hard but she would not do so..using a crush one last time she went straight for his helmet and began to try and crush it so he could not see as well, the lightening was the distraction while the crush was the action and she was one of the strongest with the crushing abilities.

@[member="Penumbra"]

(I hope that is alright, mainly the cryoban would help her see you I thought..)

Zaiden held up a hand and used a powerful Telekinetic shield, watching the lightning bounce off in a spider web around him. Suddenly a groaning sound could be heard inside his helmet, and instantly things had to shift. Once again dropping his Force Cloak, Zaiden shifted the energy put to the talent to now countering the pressure within. His nose began to have a minor trickle of blood, she had nearly succeeded in truly catching him off guard.

As the lightning died down, Zaiden flared his power and popped the dents in his helmet back out. Returning to gathering the raw power he had been, he didn't even hide himself anymore. Drawing Lilith, his Betty model blaster pistol, Zaiden let loose all three of the super charged blasts it was capable at one time. Then tickling his staff once more, mid throw, he launched her straight and true. This time she was loose and fluid, ready to twist and angle herself for the bite that would inject her deadly poison - and if that did not strike she knew to spit the poison at eyes mouth or the open wound on her shoulder.

Through the placement of every attack - one shot above her head, one shot to her left and right, then the Amphistaff down the middle- he had successfully made it so she had to take one blow. There was simply not enough room to avoid it. If she had stepped further into the room before beginning, or had ceased battle on the stairs, it may have been simpler. But now she would have to leave even further wounded.

It wasn't until after throwing the staff that Zaiden realized the trickle in his nose had not ceased...he may have a concussion.

@[member="Isis Fontana"]

Smirking at the sight she used force amplified speed to dodge the first bullet to only be slightly wounded by the other, this time it cut deep and made her bleed as well yet she wouldn't stop and sprinting she leapt on the nearest wall and performed to run up it with bold actions and then grabbed the second of her three cryobans that she had on her belt, lobbing it at the whip she catapulted herself off the wall and sent herself in an interception course for the whip, hoping her armored hands would be enough to at least contain it she dove for it as the cryoban erupted and sent a shield of ice at in the vicinity.

Flipping at the last moment she went to grab it with her iced over hands and then summersaulted as she attempted to pull it out of his hands, that is if she actually was able to succeed in touching the thing, this was not what she wanted but if she could take the whip she could gain more of an upper hand, at the last moment she swiped at the whip with her saber to try and cut it in a piece.

The woman would find the Amphistaff held on par with a lightsaber for cutting ability, she would successfully have just destroyed her armor on her hands and possibly lost them all together. For though the hurled a cryoban, Zaiden reached out and cast a bubble of energy around it. When it went off, it stayed contained then made it snow when he released his hold. The woman also would soon realise the very last fact, she had brought herself close, to close. The Amphistaff continuosly spit venom at all open orifices, wounds and all. She could not handle dodging so much. She would be hit, and the effects would kick in soon enough.

"You didn't need to battle me Isis. I could have helped you return to the Fringe, in good graces! Now you will die a slow agonizing death, unless you leave now for the vaccine."
