Public Name: Amadeus Darke
Sith Name: Lord Dissero
Blood Name: Merovign Shamalain

FACTION: N/A
RANK: Master
SPECIES: Garhan
AGE: Mid thirties
GENDER: Male
HEIGHT: 6'2''
WEIGHT: 215lbs
EYES: Blue
HAIR: Black
SKIN: Tanned

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :
Due to his Garhan heritage Dissero has inhuman strength, speed, stamina and heightened senses.

His upbringing left him with a strong sense of self discipline. Dissero is a hard worker and not afraid of getting his hands dirty, even if that means with blood. He's not particularly keen on senseless slaughter but when a goal is on the line he's capable of throwing away what humanity remains. Dissero struggled with this from time to time, especially where his then love interest, Verie Lacroix, is concerned. Having to lead two lives, he finds it difficult to keep the stain of the Darkside out of his "human" life. Dissero has a closet full of skeletons, and he fears that revealing it will lead to losing the only thing he's ever wanted and was denied: the romance with Verie. He does his best to keep this hidden from his Sith life.

Dissero does generally heal faster than humans, but not quite so well as a full-blooded Garhoon. He also does not experience bloodlust in the same way; he does not crave blood so much as he can lose himself to rage if pushed far enough. The rage blinds him to most everything and everyone. The self control and discipline instilled in him from a young age has been made in effort to keep this from happening.

He's quite good at maintaining a level head even under stressful and chaotic circumstances. Dissero is a methodical thinker, intelligent and acts with purpose. He's quite skilled at close combat and can wield a lightsaber as well as the rest of them, but he holds no claim to fame in being the best at it.

His strengths lie in his ability to learn and adapt at an alarming rate, allowing him to think quickly on his feet. Dissero has a mind for the Dark Arts and a very strong connection to the Force that gives him the ability to see, feel, and manipulate the most minute aspects of it. This, coupled with his sharp mind, has made him an expert Archivist and dealer of Ancient Force relics and artifacts.

SHIP:
The Magnum Opus
A Tempus Ardet bulk freighter acquired after the great heist of the Sith Vaults and Archives. Used to transport the contents of what was stolen without being identified.

The Klepto
A Charon Class Freighter, ancient by current standards, but restored and updated for his personal use. "Gifted" to him by Ashin Varanin after successfully absconding it from Kayri during an OP invasion. The ship is one of the only known working models in the galaxy with a working Otherdrive that allows the ship to travel through Otherspace - another realm of existence - instead of hyperspace.

History:
Born to a wealthy and powerful Kuati Aristocrat Salvador Darke and his wife Lady Lorelei, Merovign had never much want for anything except perhaps approval. His childhood was that of a rigid upbringing - his father having passed away when he was only four, Merovign's growth depended entirely upon the Shamalain Matriarch. Lorelei was a woman of traditional senses who believed very firmly in self-discipline and sacrifice. She raised her son to become a man who was not afraid to give up idle pleasures to attain greatness. Lorelei had not been the most pleasant of mothers, but she was not terrible either. The woman tutored with tough love and high expectations. So naturally, as he matured, Merovign would also see these same ideals bestowed upon him as she began his training with the Force at a young age.

As a boy he was kept to his studies and training. Even into his teens, despite being a young man of privilege he was rarely seen at court or council. When Merovign came of age he was bestowed the title of Lord Amadeus Darke of the Kuati Aristocracy, though he would play little role in it in the years to come. His mentorship in the Force would be passed to another man - a Sith Master by the name of Darth Midian. Midian proved to be quite a challenging Master, but taught the boy a great deal about the subtle currents of manipulation in all forms. Dissero quickly learned to watch his back, and that a little suspicion could mean the difference between life and death. It was exactly that which allowed him to outlive his first Master.

His return home to Kuat from his journeys under the tutelage of Midian was somewhat abrupt and unexpected by most. The young Aristocrat found himself a seat on the Kuati Council alongside his mother and practiced what he'd learned with his former Master for a few years. In his time spent familiarizing himself with those of importance on the planet he did happen to take notice of a young dancer - Verie Lacroix, the daughter of the magnanimous Director of Operations of the KDY Avadreia Lacroix. Following a brief meeting after one of her recitals, he formed a curious fondness for the young Lady and pursued her romantically in private, away from the prying eyes of others. Their encounters were generally infrequent and fleeting, but given the schedule between the two it seemed to work out well enough. Even despite a short sojourn with another new Master, a Sith Knight by the name of Darth Saelitia, when he returned a Sith Knight himself he still found that fondness for Verie there.

Once Knighted and due to interfering personal interests, Dissero decided not to continue his travels with Darth Saelitia. He returned to Kuat once again expecting to reclaim his seat on the Council, but his mother had different plans. She put a good deal of effort into keeping him off-planet by giving him missions to scour the galaxy for personal items and artifacts she had hidden or lost over the centuries. None of which were easy and most of them had brought him very close to losing his life. Dissero suspected she knew of his affair from the Darkside with Verie and was doing this to keep them apart, but no amount of pressure from him could draw any sort of clear answer. On his return from his last mission in search of the elusive Subtle Cloak he found himself being placed under the tutelage of Sith Master and, at the time, Sith Emperor Darth Moridin. Displeased but certainly in no position to argue, he quietly accepted this turn of events and left to join Moridin in this emerging Empire.

Dissero did not play a forward role as he thought he might, for which he was both grateful and mildly resentful. Moridin kept him out of the public eye and used him for his experience and knowledge of diplomacy and the subtleties of observation and manipulation. Dissero became his eyes and ears within the Empire and was often sent on secret missions separate of the Empire.

The Master of Vaults
His rise to power in the Sith Empire found him named Lord of Rudrig and Master of the Imperial Vaults & Archives. Dissero went through an extensive tour of moving the entire contents of the original archives and vaults on Dromund Kaas to the university planet of Rudrig. There he personally designed and oversaw the construction of the new vaults, which would effectively lock away the Empire's secrets from the galaxy.

But as things go, changes imminent, the turnover of Emperors meant the turnover of titles. Slighted by the removal of his title bestowed upon him by Empress Desmius by the new Emperor Ardik, Dissero conspired with his mentor, Velok, to empty the vaults and archives one final time. They did so under the guise of preparing for a new project, and pulled off the successful heist of the Sith Empire's entire treasure trove.

Aliases created through use of the Traveler's Locket:

Brom Burnside [Jedi Master and Vagrant Warrior]
Dark brown hair just beyond chin length. Pale greyish-brown eyes. 6'2'' 220lbs. One a man and Jedi every bit as real as Dissero himself, Brom was a man he ran into on Corellia while masquerading as Domos Virago. Brom was a humble man and quite amiable, but had a penchant for sniffing out liars, cheaters, and thieves. He managed to catch the scent of weirdness about the Entrepreneur and made himself a nuisance during that month. After the death of the real Domos Virago, Master Burnside was called in to the scene and instantly knew he'd been right. He did not manage to catch nor find Dissero, but he came damn close. Brom has since left his home on Corellia, a small family farm and orchard called Burnside Plantation, to pursue the elusive face-changer wielding what he knew to be a curious Force amulet. Unfortunately, when Brom did catch up to Dissero, the Jedi Master was not prepared and paid the ultimate price. Dissero has since then stolen the man's identity as an avenue to get closer to the Jedi.

Domos Virago [entrepreneur on Corellia, believed deceased]
Brown hair, brown eyes. 6'3''. 215lbs. A face maintained while working to find one of Lady Silencia's artifacts hidden away on Corellia a year ago. Domos Virago was, in fact, a real person whose identity and life he took. Staged as a bright and cheeky entrepreneur, this facade enjoys the full brevity of Dissero's humorous side and chic appeal. He even entertained a short relationship on the side with Avalore Eden and unknowingly fathered a child with her. After uncovering the artifact, he staged Virago's death by ... well, killing the man and ransacking his home...then set fire to everything for good measure. To everyone else it appeared a wayward attack by one of the man's slighted girlfriends or perhaps an unhappy business partner. From time to time Dissero wonders what became of Avalore.

Ereza Kep [black market goods dealer]
Chin length scraggly blond hair, blue eyes, 5'11''. 190lbs. Sometimes artifacts and sources aren't located in faraway dungeons or ancient tombs. When Dissero has need of public appearances to procure goods, he uses the face of this black market goods dealer and trader. Ereza Kep is a mangy looking man who aside from a slightly crazed gleam to his eyes is otherwise non-threatening. His broken basic and odd dialect don't leave much for others to guess on, but he's a scrappy, unpredictable sort which has garnered him enough of a reputation for most black market dealers to take him somewhat seriously. If nothing else, he's always good on his word.

Darth Amadeus [Sith infiltrator]
Black hair, blue-green eyes. 6'5''. 253 lbs. Used to maintain anonymity within Sith space and for jobs within the Fringe that do not require his presence as an Archivist. This visage is that of a man in his late forties, a bit taller than his true self, broader of build as well. It pulls on his darker side in acting as a Sith Master, and several times he has nearly lost his identity to it.

ROLE-PLAYS:

TGC
- Raiders of the Lost "Ark" - A young Dissero departs on a mission for The Sith Council to take over a droid control ship with the help of his uncle, Sith Master Xander Starkiller by assuming the roles of Kuatian nobles.

- No Return - Imperial Civil War - The Execution of Grand Moff Avadreia Lacroix - The young Crowne Prince of the Empire attends and oversees the execution of the rebel Grand Moff, Avadreia Lacroix and assumes a role of caretaker and confidant over the woman's daughter, Verie. On a personal note, this is probably one of my favorite RPs with this character, ever.

SWE7

This thread details the origins of Dissero's favorite artifact, The Traveler's Locket.

- An Ultimatum - Training mission with Darth Ardesca. Unfinished.

SWRP
- Sith Empire Conquest of Mon Calamari - Tasked by the Sith Emperor Darth Moridin, his Master, to observe an up and coming darkside prodigy Ashin Varanin, Dissero assists during the Empire's dominion of Mon Calamari and makes good use of the Subtle Cloak.

- Heavy Weighs the Crown - Dissero travels to Centares to pick up a new student, a one Prince Alshor, on the whim of the Empress Desmius. A short lived apprenticeship, to be sure. Alshor was the grandest of buffoons. But I enjoyed writing the dialogue between Di and Mahet.

- Letters from Rudrig Dissero establishes his rule as Governor over the planet Rudrig within the Sith Empire. There he lays down the plans to erect the Empire's new Vaults and Archives in the mountains, receives Darth Vectivus' Holocron and the Skull Holocron from @[member="Ashin Varanin"]; reunites with @[member="Verie Lacroix"]; and calls upon the aid of famed Archivist Lord Tirdarius.

- In the Citadel - Dissero and Lord @[member="Tirdarius"] work to pack and move the contents of the Imperial Archives on Dromund Kaas to the newly minted Archives on Rudrig. They run into trouble when Darths Apparatus and Moridin show up.

- Letters from Rudrig - Darkness Descends - During Clockwork Rebellion. Dissero and Verie learn of the attack on Kuat. Dissero reveals his true self to Verie and offers to train her in the Force.

- The One Man Who Never Asked of Me - @[member="Velok"] returns to the completed Archives on Rudrig to bring to Dissero new key research for their project on the Phobis Device. Under the guise of packing up the Archives and Vaults' contents as needed components to their research, they pull of the biggest heist in the Sith Empire's history and rob the Emperor Ardik of the Empire's most valued possessions.

- "This Will Be My Magnum Opus" - Traveling through Mandolorian space to escape the Empire after stealing the entire contents of their Archives and Vaults. Dissero reads the Sith Spellbook for the first time and meets with @[member="Spencer Jacobs"] to negotiate the trade of her knowledge of the Phobis Device and a holocron.

- Time to Rise - Attending a meeting of Sith rebels lead by @[member="Anaya Fen"]. Nothing was accomplished, but I got this cool chair.

- Apocolypse Rhommamool / Osarian - Aided Velok in the destruction of the planets Rhommamool and Osarian.

The Holocron Auction
The Holocron Auction Redux
In tandem with Velok's plans to disseminate Sith knowledge throughout the galaxy, Dissero agrees to auction off some of the Empire's greatest and not so great artifacts and holocrons. Funds bid in the auction were never transferred, so bidders retained their money, but items and articles put up for auction were collected upon in full. A list of the winners and subsequent new owners remains in Dissero's possession. After the death of Velok, Dissero inhereted everything left from their heist of the Sith Empire and everything taken from the Jedi Archives on Tython that was claimed by Velok. The Dark Staff was destroyed by @[member="Aleidis Ijet"] by being thrown into a sun.

- Breaking the Pit - The training of @[member="Soliael Devin Talith"] and uncovering his ability to wield Sith Sorcery.

- Bypassing the Middle Man - A meeting with Master Alchemist @[member="Valik"] to discuss the earnings of The Great Holocron Auction.

- Little Lion Man - Returning the real Telos Holocron to @[member="Gerion Ardik"] [Tyrin Ardik]

- Boldly They Rode And Well [OP Invasion of Kayri] - Tasked by Ashin Varanin in building a replica of the Charon Otherdrive, OP invades the Fringe hold of Kayri just as Dissero and his team of scientists are closing in on developing the final product. Dissero cleans the labs of their research, uses his replica shell to pull a switcheroo with the real thing and fools @[member="Circe Savan"] into leaving the planet with the shell, thinking she was taking it to safety. Dissero's team installs the legit Otherdrive into the ancient Charon ship and take it for his first jaunt through Otherspace. A magnificent musical number ensues.

- Casus Belli? Did you order fries with that? [Fringe Dom] - Dissero swings in to save @[member="Kitt Solo"], who he respectfully nicknames Widgets, from the would-be ravaging of a mad wookie. Destruction follows. Much soul suck. Very blood. So win.

- We Shouldn't Be Here - Dissero travels to the planet Lorrd on the whim of a distant flame of darkness. He arrives in the guise of Lord Amadeus, his public persona as the male heir to the Kuatian throne, and finds a woman from the ancient time of his own Sith Elder mother there: @[member="Carré Inirial"]. He brings her back to his new hidden home with the intent to introduce her to the Fringe and help her recover her past.

- Election Night Party - With his fellow Fringers Dissero celebrates the election night and witnesses a Kaggath between @[member="Rave Merrill"] and Circe Savan. He later invites Rave on a ride in The Klepto through Otherspace - the aptly named Charon Ship he claimed from the OP invasion of Kayri.

- Eye for an Eye (Fringe Invasion of Eriadu) - Retribution for Kayri. Dissero and Carre help the others destroy planetary shield power plants to allow the Fringe Fleet access to the planet. Dissero summons a massive Force storm to strike down the approaching Protectorate ground forces. Things don't go according to plan and Fringe loses their hold.

- To Touch the Core is to Touch the Heart [Fringe Dom of Lujo] - Dissero appears to help out a dazed @[member="Jared Ovmar"]. Dissero's writer experiences a bought of creative constipation resulting in post failure. I tried.

- Act II: A trip to wonderland - Dissero attends a ball with Carré for the Masks of Madness event. I last long enough for them to get their drinks and then we peace-out. I can't keep up with y'all motherkarkers.

- Angst - Dissero takes a trip to Coruscant to retrieve a bit of lost information. He runs into a bloke named @[member="Boke"]. This should be interesting.

- Rekindling the Dread - After retrieving the piece of Moridin's Holocron from his nephew Soliael Devin Talith [unwritten ICly, agreed upon OOCly], Dissero travel's to the planet Byss - the last stronghold of Moridin, in search of @[member="Sven Talith"] and the remaining pieces. What he finds is a bit more than he expected when he helps the King revive his ailing wife, Silva Talith, the Dreadlord Moridin's greatest Apprentice and final piece to his holocron.

- Derring-Di and the Cavern of the Void - Joined by fellow Fringer Lord Jared Ovmar, the pair adventure into an old cavern system at the northern pole of Kayri III in search of remnants of the Charon for Dissero's research.

- Lords of the Fringe Musical GIF Dominion of Thakwaa - The most absurd of dominions.

- Farmers Markets and Fresh Salad - Fringe Dominion of Sump - Early to the battle this time! Dissero arrives with a freighter ship full of herbivores originally planned as a meal for Faenrovon the Radiant. Their appetites prove useful against the haunted Chef's Salad on Sump. One post wonder.

- The Worst Dominion Ever - Fringe Dominion of Lipsec - True to reputation, I arrive at the tail end of the dominion for the final push to finish it. Dissero finds himself in a strange situation on Lipsec. The scandal is knee-deep and so is the snark.

- Making a Choice - Dissero acts as a glorified body guard to Lucien Cordel alongside Hannibal at a meeting with Lord Daemos. I got one pretty post in.

- Foolish To Think - Verie Lacroix has second thoughts on her decision to leave the side of Dissero during the turmoil of their lives. She endeavors to find the man who has managed to elude even the greatest Masters of the galaxy ... and ends up finding more than she bargained for.

POSSESSIONS

Shamalain Meditation Stones
The Meditation Stones are a set of 12 carved stone artifacts crafted several hundred years ago by Lady Silencia. Imbued with the energies of 12 facets of life, each stone stands as a representation for the mind to register and associate through the act of meditation within the Force. Able to be used by Force Users of any alignment, the Meditation stones serve the purpose of training, self discovery, and further attunement to the Force itself.

Earth, Air, Water, Fire - the four elemental stones are tall and triangular in shape.
Mind, Body, Self, Spirit - these four are tall and cylindrical in shape.
Time, Life, Death, Energy - these four are tall and square in shape.

The Subtle Cloak
A cloak created by Lady Silencia herself hundreds of years ago. It is lined with the scales of Hssiss and infused by dark arts with the blood of Ysalamir. The clasp at the collar is a Sith Amulet within which a darkside spell has been cast. The spell allows the wearer to "move in subtlety" and remained unnoticed both physically and through the Force. The cloak does not make the wearer invisible. On the contrary, they remain perfectly visible - but become unseen in a figurative sense much like a Faceless Person in a crowd. So long as the wearer of the cloak remains quiet in their actions and does nothing to outwardly draw attention to them, they can move beneath the radar of others, unnoticed.

The Traveler's Locket
Crafted by a Master Sorcerer eons ago, the Traveler's Locket appears as nothing more than a simple, everyday trinket. This fact alone has lead to it becoming lost numerous times where it fell into obscurity while in the hands of one not wise to its capabilities. It is unknown what magics give it its power, but the locket bares the ability to change the appearance and fully mask the Force presence of the wearer. It works only for Force Sensitive beings and is nothing more than a locket in the hands of NFUs. For inexperienced Force Users a sample or two of DNA from what they wish to look like is required. Once closed inside the locket and worn, it works its magic and will change the wearer to match the appearance, exactly, of the DNA placed inside. If more than one sample is contained, it will form a combination of the two.

For the more experienced and controlled Force Users, they need only impress their will upon the locket. It takes a great deal of meditation and concentration to achieve the look they are going for and the more variation from their base form, the more energy it takes to attain. Force Masters typically need only picture the image in their mind and concentrate it upon the locket.

A draw back to wearing and using the locket for long periods of time is the danger of becoming fully locked into the foreign appearance. The locket will draw upon memories of the wearer, should one neglect to take it off and return to their natural form regularly, they could lose their true self, making it very difficult and sometimes even impossible to return to it.

The Witch's Basin
A goblet of obsidian crafted by the Witch Elders of Dathomir and given to Lady Silencia as a gift in return for her aid. The Basin has the power to purify the contents placed within, imbuing them with healing and purification powers as well. Silencia has used it to cure Darkside Sickness in herself and others (a malady that forms after receiving a bite from a Hssiss and being injected with their venom) and other sicknesses. The Basin is quite heavy and is not generally easy to transport place to place. It is rumored by those who know Silencia has the Basin that she used it to cure herself of the Gulag Virus - but that's only a rumor.

Babylon Candles
The flame of these candles reveal truths and paths to the wielder that might otherwise be hidden. This candle can be used by anyone of any alignment, though not everyone may understand what it shows them. Knowledgeable Force Users are quite adept at reading the signs it shows them. Babylon Candles burn fast and are exceedingly difficult to craft. There are few who know how and the ingredients needed to do so are difficult to make themselves. The candle is crafted through Force Alchemy. Powerful Force Users can extend the range of the light it sheds by channeling their powers through the candle when lit.

The Heart of Korriban
A darkside blade imbued with Hssiss Venom, it can inflict Darkside Sickness on its victims.

Holocron of Darth Vectivus
"Apart from insights into finance and business, it contains only the Force Phantom technique." ~Ashin Varanin
Sold at auction to Draco Vereen

The Sorkatar Holocron
... was a dusty blue cube, the Sorkatar Holocron, the same that he'd filled with his arts and those of the first Ori'vod, a Prophet of the Dark Side.
~Velok

The Holocron of Vulta Daanat [The Blackguard Holocron]
...was a dull red pyramid, the holocron of Vulta Daanat, his forebear and founder of the only Order he had ever called his own in his heart of hearts.
~Velok

Xushan's Skull Holocron
The third was an alchemized black skull whose brainpan contained the holocron proper, visible only as a reddish gleam deep behind the eye sockets.

"The casing is alchemically hardened human bone. The gatekeeper projects itself through the eye sockets. The gatekeeper speaks in archaic dialects, and its knowledge of alchemy is unparalleled. Furthermore, though most gatekeepers are mere recordings of their makers, this one contains the maker's spirit. Tread lightly." ~Ashin Varanin

"This is what I was after," he said. "The holocron that taught Desmius alchemy. Its creator was named Xushan, a name whose phonetic equivalent I happened to find on Darvannis. I think this holocron's Gatekeeper might have been a contemporary of Styrak. No promises, and I've heard Xushan is unusually reticent, but perhaps exposure to the tomb will unlock her, assuming we can use the book to unlock the tomb. ... Bone made lightsabre-proof. Masterwork. I'm starting to suspect a Phobis Device may have similar materials requirements, though personally I haven't found anything conclusive. One way or another, this holocron should know that, too. Then again, that presupposes we can get it to talk at all, let alone stop using thees and thous -- unless you've had some success with this one before." ~Velok

The Phobis Holocron
A holocron devised of the experience and knowledge of the Phobis Device as recorded by Force Master Spencer Jacobs after encountering one on Polis Massa. A key component to the necessary information required to create the device.

Mechno-Chair
A mechno chair that had at one point in time called the Imperial Vaults its home. The thing was terribly old, crudely repaired and now heavily retrofitted to escort a one holoprojector and encrypted signal array for real-time communications along with several other personal mods that may or may not come in readily useful.

Telos Holocron
Returned to Tyrin Ardik with good humor.

Darth Moridin's Mask
An alchemically constructed mask forged by Dreadlord Moridin. It obscures the wearer's Force presence and makes them unidentifiable.
Sold at auction to Ostanes Ostanes
Willed back to Dissero by Ostanes.

Darth Moridin's Holocron
A three-piece cylindrical artifact containing all the knowledge of the late Dreadlord Moridin. This includes the forging of Sith Artifacts, the entering and returning from Chaos, Force Walking, Sever Force, Force Drain, Force Lightning, and other things that Moridin learned throughout his lifetime.

Holocron of Velok
The two heirs of Velok -- his partner Lord Dissero and his lab assistant Rave Merrill -- were also heir to his twin holocrons. Like Velok himself, often known as the Living Holocron, these holocrons contained a little information on every topic under the suns. Every Force technique, no matter how obscure, is mentioned -- but generally only mentioned -- within these holocrons. Velok's expertise, such as it was, lay in the field of energy manipulation and tutaminis. Upon her death, Rave Merrill willed her holocron to Dissero, who later gave it to Spencer Jacobs.

The Oracle Stone
Inherited from Velok's personal collection. Previously used by Velok and Val'Ryss during an attempt to craft the Nether Amulets. The Sith oracle stone is an ancient Sith artifact that could be used to aid a user's clairvoyance.
Won by Cim Salro at the SSB Mystery Auction

Grand Spellbook of the Sith Empire
An ancient book the size of a small child containing the secrets, spells, and knowledge of an untold number of Master Sith Sorcerers, Spell Casters and Alchemists and other relevant information. The book contains remnants of each provider and it's powers are significant. Not just anyone can read it - only those the book surrenders to. None below that of a High Knight or Master level understanding and knowledge of the Force would stand a chance of reading its contents. Lightsiders would be better tasked with destroying it than trying to read it. The book has killed many who have tried. In the current timeline, it has only been read by Velok and Lord Dissero. Velok used the book to help empower the Supernova Crystals to destroy the planets Rhommamool and Osarian.
Won by AMCO AMCO at the SSB Mystery Auction

"The ancient tome sat innocently enough atop an obsidian podium. ... the podium itself was enchanted to help contain the dark powers within the book." ~Dissero

"Not some gaudy tome proclaiming it's secrets to all and sundry, but a dark book, carefully crafted with durable paper that had managed to survive the ravages of time through unnatural means, concealed by a dark black leather binding that, though worn and faded, was still holding strong. Of all the artifacts within, this one had been left until the very last, it's insidious nature apparent simply by virtue of the fact that it was otherwise so nondescript and unremarkable. Just a book, such as you would find in a thousand libraries across the Galaxy. Yet this particular tome...utterly unique. And utterly deadly, if so much as touched by the unprepared.

...He knew it to be a grimoire containing spells belonging to the ancient Sith, a tome of sorcery that was capable of offering great power to the worthy, but true horror to those not ready or capable of translating the spidery words that might be found scrawling across a page. The kindest fate it might offer to the uninitiated would be mere insanity, an escape from the rational dictates of the Galaxy.
...Even to touch this book would be true madness." ~ Tirdarius

"The book itself, old and arcane as it was, was the subject of much scrutiny by those who had come long before he. There were literally dozens of tomes and personal journals filled with entries written by Lords and Ladies lusting after the knowledge it contained. It was said to be composed of spells and information of a hundred Dark Lords before his time, unnamed and completely obscure." ~Dissero

"He set his jaw and flipped open the cover. A grunt escaped him as his focus narrowed from the corporeal. To call the book's presence an assault would be not unlike saying a tide or a stampede was attacking him. It reminded him strongly of being brutalized by weather, by climate, as if he was coming face to face with an eternal and unflinching truth. He gave it the mental equivalent of hunkering down before a storm, but found himself unable to turn from resilience to examination of the book. He could endure, but he could not prevail, not to the standard which the task required.
At least, not if he kept doing what he was doing.

He knew what the book wanted to find: A full and complete knowledge of the consequences of examining said book. Will alone wouldn't do it, boldness wouldn't do it. Those were qualities all too common and all too lacking foundation, especially in Sith. No, the book was measuring maturity -- willingness to take the consequences -- and experience enough to know the price of failure." ~ Velok

The Record of Festulus Holocron
A dusty holocron that entertains little use by scholars. It's useful information is sparse and often masked in glib remarks and between-the-line nonsense.

"This one here, the record of Festulus, is more akin to the person who defiled the public 'fresher before I arrived. But even Festulus may offer some insight, much as I hate to admit it." ~ Velok

Holocron of Xo'Xaan
Stolen from Isley Verd's private collection, this holocron details the expertise of Xo'Xaan on subjects of the Darkside including religion, Darkside Healing, skill enhancement, holocron crafting, Sith Lore; it also included the foundations of the Sith and information of the native Sith species of Korriban and their culture. The holocron is kept by Xo'Xaan's soul, or so the stories go.
Sold at auction to Seydon of Arda Seydon of Arda

The Void Stone
Found deep in a cavern system on Kayri, Dissero pulled this piece of history directly from the roots of the Charon and their lost civilization. With the help of Jared Ovmar, the pair not only uncovered this mythological artifact but also a host of live Charon beasts. The Void Stone is a meterorite originating from the same realm in Otherspace as the Charon and was kept as a Holy Relic by them on Kayri. It has the power to dampen the Force powers of Force sensitive people. The Void Stone had an unusual connection with the Force. Any Force-sensitive person within one hundred meters of the Void Stone would have difficulty using their Force powers effectively. Even those who did not consciously use the Force would suffer from impaired connection to the Force.

Darth Nox Holocron
An artifact holding knowledge of long forbidden powers of the ancient Sith Magic and Sorcery. Darth Nox's experimentation and research of the arcane gives valuable insight into powers crafted to channel the raw power of the Force's malignant side to warp minds, alter the environment, and obliterate whatever obstacles stood in his way. It also details his use of the Force in other ways, as well as his master of Force Lightening, Force deflection, advanced Telekinesis, Force Walk, Force storm (weather), and Force drain. Notes of his lifetime achievements are available and may hide deeper knowledge if one knows the right questions to ask.
Sold at auction to Ultimatum Ultimatum
