Boldly They Rode and Well [OP vs Fringe on Kayri]

Rebellious Vanguard
Damn. He'd turned just in time defend her attack, pushing back against her with a push of his own. It told her one thing; this had the potential to be very fun. If he could actually keep up with her when she really got going, she could actually b entertained fr a while. The actual purpose of why she was even here was almost forgotten, though as always, she had her own agenda.

Remaining in this deadlock was utterly pointless. Neither of them was going to get anywhere at this rate, though before she could make her move, her opposition began to make his own. Ventasia had seen the slight movement of his hand just after he'd made it. There was no telling what he was plotting, but she surely wanted no part of it. Her other arms came up to match her other, sending another shockwave of energy at Jared. The combined force should've been more than enough send him back, given that her hands were fast enough to beat his own. Nonetheless, she wasn't fast enough to stop all the sand, none of it that she'd noticed from getting to her own eyes. While it caused her eyes to shut instinctively, her arms remained out, continuing to fight until she could be sure she had enough distance to remove the disturbance from her sight. Whenever she could..

Noah Corek

OBJECTIVE: Bring it Cyborg!
Noah ducked down behind a destroyed walker and watched as Hannibal used his jetpack, that weirdly had never been mentioned before now. He pulled his AMR-1 Anti Materiel Rifle out and fired three shots towards Hannibal, one towards his head, one towards the chest and one toward his belt.

Hannibal Oryen said:
Strapped to his back was a Whisper Jet pack, which currently employed a battery so as to avoid any explosions that would arise from a stray blaster shot.

THE BATTLEFIELD
OBJECTIVE: IT'S OVER, YOU MOOK

Noah Corek. Commander. A man barely alive. Thigh torn open by a Dragon, two ribs broken from a kick to the chest, innumerable cuts and gashes across his arms, just finished being routed for the second time this evening. The Protectorate could rebuild him, no doubt. He would need to be rebuilt after this battle, as it is increasingly clear that the man was running on naught but adrenaline, sunshine, and happy thoughts. The way things were going, however, the Omega Protectorate would be fresh out of happy thoughts in the coming days. Noah's penchant to pull weapons from the earth and utilization of conveniently located wreckage piles wouldn't save him now. Not by this stage in the game.

Blaster bolts splashed across the wrecked walker for a few moments before Hannibal ceased fire. This was little more than a delay of the inevitable. Hannibal would have Corek captured whether the Omegan liked it or not. Hannibal ejected the spent Plug 'N Fire cell from his rifle, jamming a fresh one in its place. Corek was wounded and winded. Hannibal? Hannibal had just got here, and had scarcely exerted himself in his scrape with that piratical looking broad. Hannibal watched as Corek invested what should have been the last vestiges of his strength in hefting up a colossal, primitive looking firearm and tried to aim it. Corek was in no position to shoot, much less aim correctly. The first shot whizzed by Hannibal harmlessly, but by then the Fondorian was already on the move.

Hannibal moved far too quickly for Noah to keep pace with his gigantic rifle. Truly a dimwitted product, as most blaster-based sniper rifles were much lighter and easier to handle. Corek's rifle had an abysmally slow fire rate, which only made things easier for the bounty hunter. Hannibal flew in an arc, soaring to to flank Corek's position from the right. Cover meant nothing when your opponent had the high ground and mobility. As he flew, the Fondorian yanked a stun grenade from his belt, primed it, and flung it downward towards Corek.

And, no, it would be impossible for Corek to utilize his rifle like a baseball bat a second time and use it to knock the grenade back towards Hannibal. The time it would take for the grenade to reach Corek and subsequently explode was far less than the time it would take for Corek to adjust his hold on the rifle into that of a club, gauge the distance and area the grenade would pass through, and swing. This would also require quite a bit of energy on Corek's part, which he likely did not have because he, again, had been routed from two separate engagements prior to this one.

The combined force of both of her hands made him waver, he had not been expecting such a display of Force. Wonder seized his mind at the show, did she want to use up all her strength before the battle actually began? Well that was not his problem, what was his problem was the upcoming onslaught of Force Power rushing into him. Oh he could probably match it, no worries there, but he would have to use up all his reserves he got from the blaster bolts and he would rather keep his reservoir of power... well reserved until it was needed.

As such he disentangled himself from the deadlock, the blast reached him and sent him flying into a wall. "OEF." air escaped his lungs and for a while he could not breathe, he was vulnerable now. Good thing was that his opponent would have tasted the effects of the blast as well. Simple physics really, when you are pushing against something and suddenly it gives away without warning? Well you will be at least stumbling if not worse. Not even talking about the sand in the pretty lady's eyes.

Well, that was a double edged sword if there ever was one. She'd succeed in blowing him, to an extent. However, without the outside force to push against her, she was sent flying back herself. Giving that she'd expended quite force on the shockwave used, Ventasia was thrown back. Well, flew back actually. That is, until she went crashing into the wall of a building behind her. Luckily, it didn't cave in on her, as that would also bring it crumbling down on her head. Instead, her body left a full indention in the wall, her body falling to the floor seconds after. It wasn't the ideal situation, but it would do for now.

Not wanting to stay stationary for too long, she rose to one knee, rubbing at her eyes to try and get the sand out. It would take a moment or two, but her eyes would open once more, her vision a bit blurry but better than nothing. As much as she wanted to find out just who he seemed to be trying to protect, it was obvious she needed to be focused on the here and now. She had an opponent, and to her surprise, he wasn't exactly a push over.

Between the paddle-beamer trap, the shapeshifter's un-vaapad-like lassitude, the jagged, infected knife she'd used to block all those tentacles, Rave chalked this one up as a win. Withdrawing, she recalled the paralysis rifle to her off hand and loped off toward the remainder of the battle.

Finally he regained his composure, he rose with sudden grace from his position and lifted his hands up. With the rising movement of his hands, pieces of rubble and shards started to ascend from the ground. Jared tilted his head slightly, as a smile started playing on his lips, then with a flourish he thrust his palms in the direction of the red head. Sending a wave of glass, stone and other rubble towards his opponent.

It would be interesting to see what she could come up with to counter that.
