Bloody Crown - SJO Dominion of Drogheda

Drogheda was a world with a secret war, one that had been forgotten by most, except the blood cultists. They, for one, had never forgotten the betrayal by the monarchy of their world, when they had made a push to move away from the ideas of the cult. They vowed to make it right. They waited, every day, they worked to wage their war in silence, targeting the people that followed the monarchy. It would have taken years, well, that was until their leader received a very strange artifact from a man with pink hair. All of the sudden, they now had the means and the power to enact their plans, which would begin at 10 o’clock on the dot. Soon, very soon… it would be their planet again.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Court had been in session when it happened – it happened so fast that Lady Tremain nearly missed it all. In the blink of an eye, and the dangerous glint of a ceremonial dagger, the King and Queen's throats were slit... their blood pooled onto the cold floor. But, that wasn't all... the blood split began to shift and change – forming horrid creatures that were quick to attack. Their first target was the Captain of the Royal Guards, as well as several other members of the court. Lady Tremain managed to escape down one of the passages. Her comm beeped, similar reports came in throughout the city. In all the chaos, she was able to call her own personal guards, gave the order to pick her up – and to call in the Silver Order.

But, during her escape, she had yet to see the Prince, as he had not been present at the court. If she recalled, he had been sent out to investigate a noble house – the home of a traitor. This person likely had ties to the Blood Cult. The last known sighting of the Prince was fairly recent – he had been spotted near Lady Tremain's home, riding hover bikes with several others. It was odd, to say the least, but at least it meant that he was still alive... hopefully.

Elsewhere, the miners had problems of their own. Equipment and people kept disappearing from the depths of the mines. The problem had gotten so bad that many of them refused to set foot there, unless the whole of the mine was inspected by a third-party. And so, the Silver Jedi had been called to investigate. There were strange sounds coming from below, strange howls that made the miners suspect ghosts or something supernatural.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Objective One: Eliminate the Blood Cultists
Deep in the woods, from their temple, the Cultists have managed to expand their grip on Drogheda. Now in control of the city and forests surrounding it, they have set loose their monsters – a form of blood sith spawn. It is currently unknown exactly how they have achieved this feat. Rangers, alongside the local forces that still remain, are trying to combat the blood cultists and neutralize their leader. Join the battle to reclaim the city and woods!

Objective Two: Working With the Miners
Assist the miners by completing a through investigation into the disappearance of miners and their valuable equipment. All mining operations have been shut down until the cause can be found. Venture deep into the mines and report back with your findings.

Objective Three: Missing Monarch
The King and Queen have fallen, killed by the Blood Cultists that had managed to infiltrate their inner circle. To add to the problems, the prince is missing. Rumored to be out in the woods, find him and help restore the balance – end the chaos that has plagued their government. Silver Shadows are on the case, trying to find out where he might have gone and where they need to go to bring him back.

Objective Four: BYOO
Feel free to bring your own objective. Work out deals with the locals, or just start a party. Do whatever you feel like.

[member="Amari Deechi"] had disappeared leaving the Umbaran First Armoured Ranger Battalion with him. Amarchri sighed, this isn't the position he wanted in the slightest and especially not in the circumstances it occurred with the captain disappearing. But he readied himself and his crew anyways they were to drop in and stop whatever was going on the ground. Their was reports of infighting and some rather inhuman beasts made of blood. It wasn't long before his drop ship began descending into the atmosphere dropping him close to the outskirts of the city.

He had most of his men along with vehicles stop and ready themselves in the position to allow the SJO to have a camp and landing zone on the ground while he took 3 squads of men and began heading towards the city. As they walked towards it there was a flurry of refugees or civilians running from the city straight past them as they all ready their weapons continuing forwards. This wasn't gonna be a walk in the park not this time.

Veiere's arrival on Drogheda had been in the company of the Silver Jedi Order's Rangers, they whom Veiere understood to be specially trained soldiers that made up a portion of the Order's military prowess to ensure the defense and protection of the numerous worlds under their influence. Their hierarchy and the general make up of the Order's military was still vastly unknown to him, he of whom was still fresh in his becoming an official member of the Silver Jedi, as was his request following the terms agreed upon, over Commenor's future.

To be part of an Order once again. To return to service in want of a better future for the Galaxy, for his children and any other father or mother's children out there whom would otherwise fall victim to the ever growing armada of Darkness spreading across the galactic map. Securing Drogheda from the offspring of what sounded like ritualistic alchemy that was known to the Sith, this was to be his first assignment under the Silver's watch; eliminating a cult and their magicks before any other innocent lives were lost.

[member="Amarchri Cryo"] led the way with his three squadrons of Rangers, Veiere Arenais along for the journey, hoping to also discourage any losses on the Ranger's side through his experience in Curato Salva, as well as general practice of the Force itself. Many of his peers were armed with rifles and uniforms, armor representing the Silver's finest, while he wore cuirass that had been forged by his own hands back home on Commenor. His right hand held the hilt of one of two lightsabers whilst the other remained at his belt and his left hand remained free that he might combine swordsmanship with the power of the Force.

Many found him odd, a supposed Jedi Consular whom had wore such battlements and had at times commanded his own forces into war. The age old classes of Jedi that were once so rigorously devout in their focus, today had been blurred in his case. Faithful in the Force, trusting the light over the skill of the blade alone, both of which he carried into what was expected to be a battle of wills should these cultists refuse to lay down their arms and surrender.

DROGHEDA
0147 HOURS LOCAL

Ships bearing the colors and standard of the Silver Jedi Order were appearing across the system. One by one, popping out of hyperspace to descend upon the world of Drogheda. From out of the hangar of one of those ships, a solitary transport broke away from the group.

It's sole cargo: One young boy.

Through the thin glasteel viewports, the Mandalorian boy's reflection stared back at him even as the planet surged up from out of the darkness of space to envelope the shuttle, as it skipped across the atmosphere in rapid descent. The dark haired youth wore a two-toned blue and navy tunic. The sleeves bore military style unit patches emblazoned with the markings of the Grand Army of the Galactic Republic. The one on the left sleeve identified him as belonging to the Clone Training Facility on Kamino, while the one of the right sleeve was a combat patch belonging to the 432nd Clone Expeditionary Unit -- the Corellian Defense Forces that had fought in the Clone Wars under the leadership of General [member="Sor-Jan Xantha"].

Pulling out an ear comlink, the boy smoothed back a lock of his dark hair before fitting the device to the side of his head.

"Su cuy'gar, Agent Three."

Biometric sensors in the cellular padding. The ear link became active the moment that it connected against his skin, supplying the prerecorded message that he'd been told would supply his mission parameters upon entry into planetary orbit.

"Approximately sixteen hours ago, a group of cultists executed a coup against the government of Drogheda. The Silver Jedi are engaged in support to civil authority in an effort to restore order."

Beyond the confines of the dropship, clouds were passing by the viewport. Taking a knee, the young clone of Jango Fett began to assemble his equipment. A DC-15S Clone Trooper rifle lay across the floor of the transport. It was a relic of another era. A weapon meant for a war that had ended centuries ago, just like himself. He'd pried it from the dead hands of one of his clone brothers when he'd chosen a side amid the chaos of Order 66, using it to help fight alongside General Xantha in the battle to escape the Star Destroyer Sentinel.

"Signals intelligence has revealed activity inside an ore processing station that had been listed as abandoned. The processing station is located deep inside Mount Meru. The mine shafts leading to the station were closed before the Four Hundred Years Darkness; however, the Antarian Rangers believe they have identified a ventilation shaft that may provide access."

A tibana cartridge slid inside of the blaster carbine. Turning the weapon over in his arms, the boy pulled back on the charging bolt. On the side, a display came alive as numbers dialed up the available blaster rounds, stopping when it hit three hundred. Slipping the sling-harness over his head, the youngling rose up to his feet and allowed the blaster to hang parallel to his body.

The lighting dropped. Red lights darkly illuminated the interior of the cargo section, as the loading ramp started to open. The air outside howled as wind rushed over the open door. Beyond, the boy could see the landscape below as the ground seemed to rush up to meet the dropship. Casually, the boy reached around to a hold-out blaster that was soft holstered over his hip, withdrawing the pistol there and inspecting it in the darkness.

"Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to infiltrate the ore processing station and assess the threat, if any."

Cycling a bolt into the chamber of the pistol, the boy returned the small blaster to its holster even as he started forward. It was three quick steps and a jump. The carbine jostled as he landed a moment later, his feet scraping over the rocks of Drogheda as the dropship started it's ascent back toward the Silver Fleet far above.

"Oya'karir, Agent Three. This message will self-destruct in ten seco..."

Casually, the clone cadet reached up. A flick of his fingers popped the ear link from off the side of his head, sending it tumbling through the air. It dropped onto the arid ground a moment later, dissolving into a wisp of smoke as the boy slid on a pair of HUD-G eye jackets. Cycling them to night vision, the young Fett started to recon toward the ventilation shaft...

Objective 2: Working with the miners

After he heard about the miners on Drogheda disappearing, for some reason, he began to suspect that maybe unsafe working conditions at the mine could have contributed to the problem of disappearances. But this is not one's typical ergonomic assessment, or even a regular OSHA inspection: he was simply part of a cross-functional team here. The Jawa took the equipment that he would typically associate with dealing with cases when the premises' structural integrity could be an issue. But he would simply need to wait for the other people inspecting the mine since he suspected it wasn't just an issue of safety. Yet he hoped that the trade union representing the mine's workers would get its money's worth. Here the Jawa also brought Tiffany along with him, because with her they could cover more ground for the safety inspection portion than Klesta could on his own. But he was curious to see who would be in that cross-functional team with him to do so. Maybe the others would actually follow that lead, maybe not, he couldn't quite tell at this point.

"Utinni! This seems a case of unsafe conditions at the mine wreaking havoc on it!"

Objective two: mines

Sabine Galen stood at the entrance of the mines, where a cave mouth opened up into a dark tunnel. The young Knight had a rucksack on her back, saber clipped to her belt, and a glow rod in hand. With mining operations halted, it was odd and a bit eerie standing there. Machines were still, and there were no workers to be seen – their boss had been so reluctant to set foot here, that he'd left the moment their briefing ended.

He had told the Silver Jedi team that a number of pieces of equipment had started to go missing, namely their droids. They had continued to work, despite the losses, until workers themselves began to disappear. It had grown so worrisome that the miners stopped working, until the mine had to be shut down completely until the mystery was solved. Of course, this mine represented quite an investment – they were losing credits the longer they kept it shut down.

Glancing down at the list that had been given to them, her eyes scanned through the equipment... but stopped upon the names that followed: Cecil Vand, Joran Telsh, Acelin Arrel... the list went on.

Sabine frowned, bowing her head for a moment.

These miners had already been missing for days. Unfortunately, the situation here had not allowed them to search for them – until now. But, Sabine decided she would hope for a rescue, not simply a recovery effort.

About the time, the Jedi Consular [member="Veiere Arenais"] was settling in finding his feet, getting his bearings on this new path and direction. The ground shifted. A great big 8ft something tall Houk in power armor stomped on by. “Morning.” His low bass voice rumbled out from somewhere behind the armor. Matching the rumble of the ground beneath the Houk Fire Team. Three of the walking metal giants splitting up, one to a squad.

Vertigo was hanging back somewhere near the Consular. More weapons than god attached to their backs and sides. They were as described, walking weapon platforms. This one was no different. The huge blaster chaingun braced to his hip was something of an overkill weapon, but he had stun grenades in the launcher, among other rifles or small arms weapons, so he was covered. Covered in guns. Vertigo cleared his ample throat, cracking his head to his shoulder to loosen up. There was a thud as his muscle mass collided. The truth was he had a cold today.

“How’s it lookin Boss.” Veiere Arenais This Houk’s voice rarely changed tone, always low and slow. From where he was, it looked like okay. Wood around them. Enemies somewhere. Problems he could solve. “Houks deployed. Combat ready,” [member="Amarchri Cryo"] he said over comms to anyone, each squad getting one bringing up the rear at the back. Trying not to step on any small animals or people.

Better be no right Hook cracks today. Grumble. He sneezed somewhere inside the helmet. Grumble

Masaru had prepared as much as he could before landing on the planet, being a man who likes be more than ready for what was to come. The only problem was that he didn't know how to prepare for creatures made out of blood. While it's true that the mercenary liked a good challenge in battle, he always put the lives of the people he fought with and the civilians that get caught in the mix as a priority. Because of this, he wouldn't forgive himself if people got hurt unnecessarily because of his inability to prepare for these creatures.

This was a trait that most of the SJO probably didn't know about him, especially since only a select few people spoke with him semi-regularly. This was partly his fault, not being a social man who enjoys parties and such. To most, he was just a mercenary with a contract with them, and wouldn't be here long. In reality, he was a soldier like them who, while still a mercenary, was with them because of different circumstances. He would put his life on the line for them because in his mind, he was one of them.

As him and the rest of the group approached the city, civilians ran past them in a panic. The mercenary scanned the area with his Rifle ready to fire. While the cultists and their beasts could prove to be a challenge, Masaru knew he was fighting aside the best soldiers a man could ask for. Not only that, but Masaru was a man who thrived on the battlefield. The cultists would come to learn that Masaru Varga was a warrior that shouldn't be taken lightly, and that the Rangers and Jedi that he fought beside were much better than him in combat, which meant that the cultists weren't going to have a easy fight on their hands.

The mercenary listened for any chatter or orders, hearing [member="Vertigo"] over comms. When he first saw Vertigo, he noticed the amount of weapons he had with him. He sure was glad he was on their side.

Stretching out, Yuroic was wearing his hunting gear, loose but protective armourweave light armour. He wandered to the hunting party by the outskirts of the forest, looking around, they were apparently locating some prince that had fled since the death of his parents. The blood cultists were ambitious but locating the prince would end their ambition with Silver Jedi forces there to protect the prince. It was necessary at least till the danger was dealt with. However, first they had to locate the boy. It had been significant amount of time since the disappearance, most telltale signs of direction or location were unlikely as nature likely covered his tracks by now.

However, didn't stop Yuroic taking on the task. Hunting and tracking things down were skills of his. He noticed Jairdain and Asaraa were also on this mission and smirked. He called over to them both. "Both looking to date another prince huh?" He teased with a quick poke of his tongue as he looked over the most likely direction the boy would have headed into the forest. It was fair assessment from the Shadows and he would take their advice unless evidence showed another direction to go. "Did you two wish to join me?" He called over to Jairdain and Asaraa.

How’s it lookin' Boss.
Veiere turned to find one of the soldiers, albeit larger than any other among them and walking like an armored tank, staring back at him expectantly. It hadn't occurred to Veiere that he might be seen as a superior figure among the Silver Jedi Military personnel due to his position as a Jedi Master, and it certainly wasn't his intention to pretend to be something he was not.

"Please, my name's Veiere...-I'm no one's Boss around here, just on the job same as any other" Veiere explained himself with an appreciative smile, the thought that the most staunch looking warrior in their company had thought of him as someone with influence. "Your armament is most impressive my friend, and I daresay I'm glad to have you by my side" he chuckled softly seeking to add amusement to the situation in order to lighten the mood as well as distract himself from the knowledge that others might be lost in their assignment today.

Noting Vertigo's confirmation to [member="Amarchri Cryo"] who appeared to be their CO (Commanding Officer), Veiere raised his free hand to his ear-piece, listening for whatever orders might be given down the line over the comm's. "There's been reports of some sort of blood spawn, creatures created by this cult we're searching for" Veiere told Vertigo all that he knew, which frankly wasn't a great deal, "I've volunteered to assist but I'm not officially sanctioned a member of the Rangers here. I guess we'll find out what we're in for when we come across our targets. They're supposedly extremely hostile...".

There was much treachery that lurked on this planet. When Kiran had opted to tag along with this venture he listened attentively to the briefing and whatever was out here looked to be hostile, very hostile. Kiran wasn't about to shirk from a challenge or something that was dangerous. Despite all of that, the main thing was that there were other peoples lives at stake here, royalty and civilians. Kiran knew with everything he had been through he couldn't sit by and no help.

The young Jedi dressed in his standard attire that had the basics in terms of protection along with his standard lightsaber at his side. He had yet to construct one of his own and he was hoping to get the opportunity to do such a thing soon.

Kiran also was pleased to take part in this venture because he would be finally able to meet Veiere Arenais, who was the husband to Lady Kay. Kiran before his recent departure to the Outer Rim was in the service of Lady Kay's protection detail. It was unfortunate when he returned to learn that she was missing. Kiran had indeed felt bad and wondered if he was here, could he have made a difference.

"Master Arenais...." Kiran said softly, after he had finished speaking to the CO. He had started to say but then waved it off, with a small shake of his head. There would be time for formalities after the mission was done. But for now, he needed to be focused on the task at hand. Eliminating the threat, saving who could be saved and staying alive.

Objective: One - Cultists
Location: Drogheda - Outskirts of forest.

"Cultists, again? Really?"

Specialist Lowder's voice was almost at a whisper, but was still clearly audible to the five-man team due to the communications systems within their Katarn plating. The five Antarian Ranger operators hailed from Commander Calderon's own unit, the Radama Raiders. When the call had gone out for help, The Concord had been close enough to join up with the Quick-Reaction-Force bound for Drogheda. With a bay full of special forces, and a few other support squads on board, Captain Yul and Commander Calderon knew it would be vital if they moved to help.

With the support squads deployed to the city where they had been needed or where allied rangers had advanced through, Valk and his team took a shuttle to the nearby forest, where blood spawn had also been reported.

At the moment, the five soldiers crept carefully past the trees. The canopy overhead beginning to cover whatever light was coming through. The rangers remained staggered in their advance, choosing to communicate via comms so they wouldn't give up their positions immediately.

"You're acting like it's a bad thing. Cultists weren't that bad on Kintan." Lieutenant Konrad Harris huffed in response, lugging along his Z-6 rotary cannon while remaining in formation.

"Uhh..I almost died on Kintan, sir." Clark piped up, bringing up the rear of the formation. The younger soldier carefully stepped over a log, attempting to make as little noise as possible whilst brandishing his new VAARS.

"But you didn't..What'd you get hit by anyways bud, shrapnel?" Lowder chimed back in as soon as he could, enjoying giving crap to the youngest member of the current strike team.

"Yeah, wasn't exactly pleasant."

Commander Calderon's hand went up suddenly, telling the five-man team to hold position. He spoke up simply to put emphasis on his motion, "Hold up."

The team halted, crouching in position and putting their weapons in a ready position incase a firefight was to break out, or in this case: if a horde of sithspawn was to fall on them.

The only sound to be heard would be the echoes of fighting from the nearby city. It sounded like things were getting ugly, but that only meant they'd have to hurry.

"Lets keep moving. We need to find the source of whatever is causing this. Concord said they picked up spawn movement out here, so we make a sweep of the area and try to pinpoint whatever this thing is. If it's not here, we get a pickup from the Concord and move to the city to support. I want communication to a minimum though, fellas. I know that'll be hard for some of you- Lowder,"

"Hey, Hurtful."

"But there's only five of us. I don't doubt our ability in a firefight but these aren't the same cultists from Kintan. They were using blasters, these are using something worse. If we attract a horde of those things, they'll wipe our sorry asses off the face of this planet. Copy?"

The team responding with a resounding 'solid copy,' assuring Commander Calderon that his team would remain professional. This took a little weight off of his shoulders, knowing all too well that they'd all have to remain on their toes out here.

Forests, it was always forests. It was like the universe had decided that the tree-filled spaces were her weakness and so decided to throw them at her everywhere she went, and to be honest, the Jedi Knight didn't have the best of luck when it came to time spent in forests. She'd been thrown out of crashing shuttles, shot at and stabbed. To say that the sight of a forest brought back a wellspring of bad memories was an understatement but...well they seemed to keep creeping up on her. Now some prince had managed to get themselves lost, running from the cultists who had assaulted his planet, who had killed his parents. The Silver Jedi had unleashed the shadows on the planet who had found a trail of clues, so now the Jedi were coming in to try to find him within the area. Even so, the girl gave Yuroic a long look, eyeing his bow before she shook her head, glancing over at her blind friend. "Well, between the two of you, we should be able to find this guy pretty quickly, right?"

Mission: The Mines.
Objective: Provide Security
Intent: Vigilance in the face of uncertain danger.

RS-16 slung across his chest, and a disruptor on his side- he looked hardly the part of what a Silver Jedi Ranger would be. Truth be told, the Rangers weren't really his scene. But Razor team were now wrapped under the Rangers, albeit begrudgingly from some of the more hardline members. They weren't used to working with a leash. That, and the Rangers made it clear that the usual 'KILL EM ALL' aspect of Razor wasn't always going to apply to their mission set.

But Setter was happy to provide a helping hand now and again. After all, he only liked killing and hurting bad guys, with the end goal of helping people.

The mouth to the mine was empty, eerie. Except for one Jedi that Setter was about ten meters off, hand lazily gripping the pistol grip of the rifle attached to his plate carrier. He sighed boredly. [member="Sabine Galen"] seemed optimistic, or at least, hopeful. Setter was content with writing off the miners as dead. A planet with a creepy cult was the last place he really wanted to go into a dark, deserted place with. He watched the Jawa waddle in first, wondering if he knew something he didn't.

Probably true. A lot of people could out-smart Setter.

A lot less people could outsmart bullets.

He was a cautious, nervous man. Hence the knife, disruptor, and the rifle that was now known to the Silver Jedi as that 'Razor' gun. Razor used it like a tool of the reaper, a weapon that didn't leave any evidence that they were there, and did it silently. Such a reputation for ruthlessness made it hard, or at the least, difficult, for his team to transfer from slotting bad guys up and down Coruscant, to on a peace-oriented mission.

He was a professional though- he'd get used to it.

"Probably got eaten by a bunch of cultists."

He mused dryly aloud, coming near the Jedi Knight.

"Utinni! Are you insinuating the cultists may have exploited some deficiency in the mine's safety to kill miners? This is not a laughing matter: what will kill the miners can also kill the cultists if safety breaches are present"

The security guard assigned to escort Sabine and Klesta was making the Jawa uncomfortable at that very prospect. But that doesn't mean cultists will actually be down there killing people by deliberately sending them to the most dangerous areas of the mine, because then the cultists are just as vulnerable to the safety problems. And it didn't even seem to be an open-pit mine either: it's harder to cause miners to disappear from an open-pit mine than in an underground mine since they would do so in plain sight. So perhaps poisons would be in use, in which case he knew there was a use for this rebreather and also the equipment he was using to conduct the room-wide portions of ergonomic assessments. The portion about radiation, biological and chemical (RBC) hazards. For now he was cautiously advancing into the upper part of the mine shaft while wearing a hard hat that would protect him should rocks fall overhead him, to a certain extent. He did so while taking readings on that device, and maybe, just this once, there would actually be suspicious readings.

Objective 3: Hide And Seek
Location: Drogheda
It had been a rather easy task. He was riding out with only a few guards when the prince had been snatched up. A simple hit, when they're speeders had stopped. Left out in the boundaries of the woods. From there, the trail would begin, starting at where the speeders were left. One on the ground, as if it had skidded after some sort of accident. A panel opened on the side, revealing sabotage. The other speeders were left there, a couple of them having weapons on them still as if they had been abandoned by a couple of the guards. As if needing to move quickly, but there were no tracks of something chasing. Instead there were five sets of tracks; five men, bootprints in the ground leading away. Some broken twigs along the path.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Elsewhere, deeper within the forest in a dark place was the prince, left tied up. He could hear no others around. No voices, no breathing. As he opened his eyes, his eyes had a rough time adjusting to the place. "Whoever you are, you need to release me! Immediately!" He called out into the dark, trying to adjust to see anyone. In the dark, there seemed to be a few figures. Still as ever. "I can see you!" But still, they did not move.

There had been far too many people in her life that had disappeared and Jairdain was tired of it. She wasn't one to wear armour and did not have any today. On her hip was her lightsaber, in a pocket was Sage to act as her eyes if she needed him to and on a shoulder was a bow. That might be a surprise to the other two, but she had picked up the weapon and started using it when she could.

Even though she did not personally know this prince, she wanted to rescue him and agreed to meet up with Asa and Yuroic to accomplish this. The three of them working together should find him easily.

Giving Yuroic a slightly dirty look when he playfully asked if she and Asa were looking to date another prince, she shook her head. Clearing her throat slightly, there was a small glimmer in her eye that quickly went away.

"There is only one person I wish to date."

Not explaining anything further, when he asked if they wished to join him, she nodded and moved to be at his side. As Asa expressed her thought on the matter of the prince, she hoped that was the case.

"What clues do we currently have?"

Sabine sensed the approach of another, though she did not turn her head, she peered at him out of the corners of her dark eyes. He was rather rough around the edges, and armed with a rifle. This man was certainly not a Jedi, by appearances at least. Their team was made even more interesting by the presence of a small Jawa.

Her head finally turned in the man's direction as he spoke, and her gaze narrowed slightly.

“Well, that's optimistic.” She returned flatly. Sabine could sense the unease emanating from the Jawa, and she glanced over to Klesta. “Indeed, it is not a laughing matter.” She agreed.

And Sabine knew full well that if there was something down here equally able to kill miners and cultists, it could very well kill them, too. But, she highly doubted that would happen... at least, she hoped not.

“I suppose there's only one way to find out, isn't there?” She asked, her tone crisp. “Shall we?”

With light steps, she ducked into the entrance of the mine, trusting the other two would follow. The walls of the rocky tunnel closed in, but there was space to allow them through. Up ahead, there was a large cavern that opened up before them – rich with equipment, some of which appeared to be damaged. It was very much like the miners had simply left their day's work where it lay and walked out.

Amarchri nodded to his companions, taking a quick stock of the two Jedi with them. One was the master of the other which made sense most of them seemed to come in pairs. Clearly the apprentice was worried about it so Amarchri moved back slightly to make sure to look after the padawan while nodding to the houks "Glad to have you guys aboard." He smiled at the padawan and said "Don't worry about it. Your probably in the safest location on this world beyond the landing zone."

He looked a the master bringing out a hologram projector. "Yes we are and we have these ones on record from one of our own members. Gardener named [member="Tom Taff"] odd guy but good with animals and plants." As he brought up the one file they had on the Veievarn. Then going to all SJO rangers frequency. "All right boys and girls our info finally got declassified so I can warn you all what we are up against. These suckers were used against the mandalorians a while back according to the report and haven't been since so assume their is a highly dangerous Sith lord making these as a small group of them banded against the mandalorians and made these things."

"Basic info to know don't die to these things it only makes them stronger as they continue to add your blood to themselves. Supposedly they are weaker to blasters or freezing. Beyond that they are sith spawn if you have a jedi with you remind them to use that force light thingy they do to darksided objects. Otherwise blasters only try not to use your melee weapons if you can help it." He would then nod moving forwards with the rest of his group as they would spot two of the blood vortex creatures. They had a number of cultists shooting civilians around them in some surprisingly decent looking armour as they continued to suck up blood. His men would hold in a defensive stance waiting for the others to fire while they would protect the group.

The further they got into the cave the more they would begin hearing noises from deeper within the caves. This is what the miners had heard but their was clearly more to it with people missing and a lot of the equipment even left behind was missing random parts for no clear reason. Some where missing battery packs others were missing random bolts or even just normal parts that would break easy enough. The further they moved the louder the noises would become. Eventually they would arrive within a large cavern with scratches along the walls as well as some cage looking devices that are rather large and currently hold all the missing mining equipment.
