Blood in the Water [CIS Dominion of Bestine IV]

New_Project_34.gif

The fighting force of the Confederacy deserved a break. Of that there could be no doubts: and maybe the ocean world of Bestive IV would provide that well deserved break.

The planet was immensely blue, probably the most amount of blue this side of the Galaxy it seemed. A rolling tide of blue oceans with meager dots of green, as if they were trespassers on this great expanse of ocean. The oceans of Bestine were the main attraction of the world these days, somewhere to just relax, to forget the ills of the world alongside sandy beaches with a glass of Juma Juice in hand.

A modest island had come to serve as the meeting point for the Confederates: bars and cantinas abundant, small and quaint shops lined the streets which had quickly come to bustle with greater activity: the everpresent sight of the beach all but inescapable, glimmering waves that reflected the sunlight visible no matter where you looked. From the lowest cantina to the highest penthouse: some called the ocean calming, it’s unchanging tides uncaring of the wars and battles wrought throughout. It merely persisted, a gift given to the island that had grown dared to grow amidst it’s eternal dominance: the symphony of crashing waves was always present on the little island, sometimes drowned out, but always there.

If such an idea sounded too good to be true for the tired forces of the Confederacy, you were not wrong.

A soldier dead in his room, a loss that could easily be passed off a mere unfortunate accident. Unfortunate, but not long after another appeared. Their death far from grizzly than the last, some sort of blade as the tool of murder. Murder had decided to come to the quaint little island: and so the Galaxy decided to stick to the Confederates about what it did when just tried to enjoy themselves.

Well. Whoever actually cared about the darker happenings in this little island paradise.

New_Project_32.gif
A handful of individuals have been sent back to work: the news of the murders coming to their ears and the task of investigating and eliminating the threat falling into their laps during this “vacation”. The inner city of the island seems to be where this assassin (or assassins) have set themselves up. Go, find them, and make them pay for their crimes.

New_Project_31.gif
In a rare opportunity it would seem that for once someone isn’t trying to kill the tired warriors of the Confederacy (at least, so it would seem): and obviously that means it’s time to kick back, relax, enjoy the beach. And maybe make regrettable decisions after a few too many trips to the Cantina. Bestive IV has much it can offer to the Confederate tourists.

New_Project_33.gif
There’s a lot more in the sea than just a bunch of drunkards on a beach and murder mysteries. The planet of Bestine has much to offer.

OBJECTIVE: MURDER IN PARADISE: Eliminate any hostile forces on the Island
LOCATION: Bestine Hotel, Murder Scene
ALLIES: [member="Voph"]

If there was one truth in the universe, one unbreaking and unbending concept that even the will of the force could not change, was that Kiff Brayde loved vacations. If there was ever paid leave, Kiff immediately took it (unless he was in the heat of battle. And even then, it was still a maybe). The Confederacy Sky Marshal considered himself the Party Professional among his Confederate peers, and when some assassin decided to come and ruin a nice little retreat to Bestine it was safe to say that nothing that Kiff had been the most enthusiastic when volunteering to track down this hitman. If someone wants to ruin his party, then they'll have a lot more to worry about than a death penalty.

Kiff stood in the small room inside of the Allajur Hotel, one of the islands finer accommodations and now presently the scene of a murder. A droid attendant stood in a corner, surveying the room with its many ocular devices that had been modified on the automaton. The body was still on the floor, fresh and disgusting (Kiff had chosen to stay in the Navy partly because he hated the stench of rotting corpses). Now all he had to do was wait for his counterpart, a warrior only known to Kiff as [member="Voph"] to join him, and they'd be under way. There was a murder in paradise, and Kiff was about to find out who did it.

The Blood Matron smiled to herself as her bizarre yellow-red eyes tracked the movements of her young niece further down the shoreline. Renesri, not yet twenty years old and heir apparent to Zenva's title, moved through the white sands of the Bestine beach with the exuberance only a young woman could muster. Ah, to be young, the Zabrak mussed silently.

"My apologises Matron but, your lunch is nearly ready." Zenva's respite was interrupted by the calm voice of her F series servant droid, a nearly ancient thing the Zabrak had modernized years ago. The droid stepped aside, gesturing toward the gathering behind it. Nearly one hundred Zabrak had descended upon the beach, Clan Vrotoa's most elite warriors. Dotted across the beach they had claimed fires burned, primarily cooking fish freshly caught in the waters around them.

"Thank you, F-Three. Fetch Renesri back for me, won't you?" She didn't wait for the droid's response, knowing already it would be his usual affirmative. Zenva turned away, the skirts of her swim wear whirling around her battle scarred legs as she moved toward the party her family was having. Again she smiled, serrated shark like teeth gleaming in the bright sunshine, as she looked out beyond the gathered Zabrak to the perimeter she insisted be established. Here a show of her power could be found, dozens of Confederate Battle Droids, gifted to her when she had become a Trade Baron, patrolled the outskirts of her party. Nothing except another member of the Confederacy would be able to disturb the Matron and her Clan.

Helly couldn't even remember the last time she was able to relax like this. Sunglasses, sunscreen, a carefully picked bikini, and a margarita completed the image of a woman whisked away by luxury. Just the sounds of the shore were enough to lull her into a blissful state of nonchalance.

The last time she tried to relax during a CIS vacation, she was whisked away by something very different. That night still haunted her, as did the recent memories of Eshan. Sometimes they got to be too much and she would employ the use of alcohol or spices, a vice that would likely stay with her forever. Thankfully, the beach they landed on had no shortage of alcohol to provide her. Memories would remain memories for the time being, so long as she could lean back and take a sip through the glass's thin straw.

With the beckoning of the ocean so close and so tempting, she stood from her colorful assortment of towels and walked close enough so that her feet were engulfed in the oncoming waves. Both the sun and the water felt so refreshing on her skin, synthetic though her body may have been. It brought her joy that such pleasures hadn't been lost to the coldness of machinery. The beautiful horizon had so much to offer...

A break, not something she often contemplated or was given much with this current life. Other soldiers and members of a military would probably be quite stressed with how many combat situations she was always thrust into, but Kurenai was often content with such actions. It was seconds nature, the ways of war, it was her childhood through and through. So to kick up ones feet and take a rest from it all was quite the different situation, one that didn't come often, though Kurenai was unsure on how to properly use such down time.

Looking around it seemed as if she was one of the first here, no doubt some of the more well known members were investigating that murder. though quite the expert killer she wasn't exactly good at solving them. It was quite the odd sight, seeing a pristine beach empty, and on such a nice day. The setting sun still casting enough light and heat over the shores making a pleasant atmosphere but not threatening any sun burns or heat stroke, a perfect time for swimming.

With a slight shurg the tall muscular women made her way into the lapping waves, slowly submerging herself into the cool water, relaxing for a few seconds before stating a slow freestyle swim up the length of the beach. Even if it was her days off nothing wrong with having some fun and exercise at the same time.

"Can you please shut the hell up?" Lucien called out to the woman in front of him. She'd been yelling hysterically since the man had arrived and now an ache was beginning to form in the back of his head. His hand was raised to silence her, as she shrank back from his words the Knight turned away from the woman. A few of the local police had been tasked to help the Knight's Obsidian, but they were about as much help as you could guess. "How do you have two hundred people in a hotel and no one sees anything?" He asked the Peace Officer with a less than pleased expression.

The man, who'd been dressed in Police Blacks, shrugged at the comment. "We just had a celebration a few days ago so there has been a lot of come and go in the hotels. Besides, we've never had trouble on this side of the city before today." Lucien rolled his eyes at the mans comment before turning back to the woman he'd been speaking to.

"Again, this time without the crazy woman screams. What. Did. You. See?" The woman composed herself, less she be silenced prematurely again. Then when she spoke, her thick Outer Rim accent shined through her words. To Lucien, who had been raised around the proper-speaking it was almost painful to listen to, especially when it was couple with a banshee-like screech.

"I'd just come in from work when I saw the blood spilling out from under the door. I swear I didn't do anything but when I opened the door the man was just laying in there, dead."

"That's better." Lucien said, nodding his head before turning to the Officer. "This place doesn't have any security cameras?" By the snort that came from the man, Lucien expected his question must have sounded a bit foolish, although he'd rather beat the Officer before telling him of his own thoughts.

"Can you go find something useful to do?" Lucien jerked his thumb away, while staring at the man with a warning look. The Officer exhaled before making his way over to the others who had been gathered for questioning. Lucien was left to consider just what they had to go on. Nothing.

Alwine was actively covering her ears with her hands, trying to block out the sounds of the woman screaming in panic. As a Lupine, her ears had metahuman sensitivity, and noises, were they loud enough, could take her out with ease. And while this woman was being very loud, it was more so the ugliness of her voice that made the young woman not want to hear her at all.

The quick exchanges that [member="Lucien Rayne"] was having with the staff yielded, as expected, no results. Alwine smiled a little, but said nothing yet, waiting for the annoying people to leave before she let her arms down and sighed with relief.

"Why are humans so useless after the crisis is already over," she said out loud, the judging tone leaving little place to wonder what her opinion of the entire thing was.

Glancing around, she already knew that the best person she knew who could solve this wasn't around. The young man next to her didn't seem to have the relevant extra perks either and would have to rely on usual forensic things to find what he needed.

"Are we done wasting time?" came the next question. "There is blood, which means there is a trail, at least as far as steps on the ground go. We can follow that, and see where it leads us."

And if need be, Alwine would shift into her wolf form, which would increase her nose's sensitivity. But she had no plans on doing that there, in front of people. She had to take her armor off and then wait a full five minutes before the shift was complete.

When Lucien turned back to his assigned partner, he was very confused over why her hands were covering her ears. However, she quickly removed them which caused Lucien to look back at the shrieking woman who he'd just spoken to. He chuckled, realizing that her screams must have been a bit much. When he looked to Alwine he contorted his face in a mock expression of confusion. "Hey, we're not all so bad. Besides, worlds like this don't have a lot going on, means the people pay a lot less attention." He shrugged off the thought, before pressing his hands onto his waist.

When Alwine's next question came, Lucien chuckled a bit before nodding. "Sure. The police can do the questioning." He'd almost forgotten what [member="Naedira Darcrath"] had said about his temporary partner, Alwine. The woman was not human. Some sort of alien, but honestly Lucien had not been listening too dearly when Naedira was explaining the specifics. He never did give his Master much thought where he believed he didn't need to. An earnest training session? Full attention. A few words of advice to help his mission go along? He was likely in the middle of a daydream about some woman's backside or returning home to Illyria. Speaking of backsides, he'd gave the Knight a brief one-over and she was actually fairly attractive for a non-alien. Which was likely why Lucien was a bit more friendly than he was to less attractive women and men.

"So what's your plan? I'm here to help you anyway. We've got a dead body upstairs and a building full of people who didn't see chit. How are we going to follow this trail?" He asked, arching a brow at her.

Bestine had some of the most idyllic coastlines Valencia had ever seen - but the warm sun and softly lapping waves had done little to raise the mood that had settled so completely over her. The gloom had sent her wandering, seeking somewhere that should couldn't hear gleeful squeals of children splashing about in the surf, or the excited chatter and clinking of glasses from those celebrating their hard-won victory on Eshan... It sent her strolling slowly down the shoreline until all those things fell away, and only the soft rustle of the ocean breeze through the large frond trees that lined the sandy beaches could be heard. Still, she walked on...

Nearly an hour of walking from the resort-like destination that the CIS had chosen for their little excursion brought the Viceroy to a rocky berm that obscured the smooth, sandy expanse she'd been walking. Her feet paused, toes sinking into the warm sand a moment as she tilted her head down, peering from behind the large sunglasses she'd chosen to accessorize with that morning. It looked like perhaps there was an inland river or creek that flowed down to the water here, and it had caused the landscape to change over the years. It presented a tempting line break from the beach behind her, and as such she continued on, carefully picking her way up the rocks and over them.

As she crested the top of the berm, she felt a smile tug at the edges of her lips; she'd stumbled across something quite remarkable. There was indeed a small river that flowed into the ocean here - and it did so via what she'd describe as a tiny, sheltered oasis. The local foliage had grown in dense and high along the ridges of the rocky outcroppings that broke through the sand and encircled a deep blue pool that lay in the centre. Shallow sandy banks surrounded the pool on all sides, and a tiny waterfall poured into the pool on the side closest to the shoreline. It was... Perfect.

She carefully descended into the bowl of the cove and found a small portion of the sandy banks that was bathed in diffused light, filtered through the massive palm tree-like leaves of the trees above her. The Viceroy seated herself in the pleasantly warm sand and pulled her knees up to her chest, encircling her knees with her arms and closing her eyes. The gentle babble of the waterfall, coupled with that warm breeze, was enough to help her forget for just a moment why it was they had reason to need the vacation - and instead, just enjoy the calm.

Out of the corner of her eye amidst the CIS personnel that had taken to the beach, Helly spotted someone she remembered seeing in Eshan. She had been there with her treating victims of the war, and she was no doubt there for the same reasons as her. Eshan was not only stressful, but traumatic on top of that.

Wading through the water on the shore, Helly moved to follow the Viceroy past the river to find something that made it worthwhile already; a little piece of heaven awaiting her beneath stone and flora. Valencia had already situated herself within the cove, but she seemed a little less than well by the formation she had taken on the sand. Helly swam down into the pool, completely submerging herself before gently surfacing in front of Valencia.

It was difficult to find the words necessary to open with, but she would try nonetheless. "Nice little space you found for yourself," she said, hoping it wouldn't come across as dismissive of what had happened. Helly herself didn't exactly find it easy to function normally on a day to day basis after what she had witnessed, and that was after already being present on Coruscant when it fell.

Allya was dressed casually. Just a t-shirt, some colorful pants, and over all dressed to enjoy herself. She didn't want to go into the water, or show off her body at the beach. She didn't really want people's eyes on her, besides Jerek's, and he was off doing Jedi things. So there was no real reason. Instead, this would be a day about her, and two of her favorite past times. To be honest, she had a lot of hobbies, they helped to keep the darkness inside her at bay, give her focus rather than get bored....because it was bad when she got bored. She did really dumb things.

She stepped foot on the boat. Oh she knew there would be other fishers on this cruise. But that was okay. It didn't honestly matter. Today she would just relax. She grabbed the massive over sized fishing had and placed it on her head, to keep the sun off her face. Once they got underway, and were at one of the fishing holes, she chose her bait, and cast the line. A comfortable chair was soon sat in, the pole placed in a holder connected to the boat. A cold lager, and sat back, sipping the drink. Her feet were on the railing of the ship, and she let her eyes half close, as she enjoyed the moment. Some snacks, like pretzels, crisps and the like were nearby.

It wasn't to long until she got the first bite. Expertly the teen jerked the rod up, hooking the fish, and performed a long tug of war. She slowly tired the fish, and brought it up into th boat. It was a decent size. Not huge, but not tiny, about average for its species. Not bad. She put it in the live catch box, rebaited the rod, and cast it out again. This was the life.

Time was already running out to find the murderer, and Kiff was beginning to tire of waiting for his partner; the young officer was impulsive, reckless and best of all insubordinate, three traits that defined Kiff's character. Waiting for a counterpart was an insult to Kiff's intelligence, the way he saw it (although it was hardly that way in reality), and so the Sky Marshal decided to take a walk, specifically in the lobby where he had heard some other Confederates that had been assigned to find this murderer were hanging out. Maybe he could make himself useful while he waited for Voph to arrive. The only other option was to wait, and Kiff hated waiting.

The steps of the hotel lobby were an ornate golden metal, covered with heavy shag carpet that had once been red, now muddy and sandy from the amount of foot traffic coming through the hotel due to the recent incident. When there was a Confederate soldier killed in a non-combat zone, the last thing people cared about was whether or not their footwear was clean. Not the finest of tastes, Kiff concluded, but he'd let it slide. Not much he could do anyways, and if he actually had any authority to regulate footwear he probably wouldn't care to do it, another testament to Kiff's unique nature.

As he stepped onto the lobby floor, the first thing he noticed were two figures; a tall, dark man and a woman standing next to him. The combination of the aura emanating from them and their unique clothing made Kiff guessed that they were some sort of special task force, Knight's Obsidian no less. Kiff had never considered himself a force-sensitive, and he had little care for the matter. Two people who could control a mystic power were, in his mind, no more special than every other run-of-the-mill Confederate soldier and peace officer in this investigation. But nevertheless, they seemed like they knew what they were doing, a far cry from the Bestine police, so he made a beeline towards them.

"If you are wanting to 'catch the villain at the crime scene,' you'll be sorely disappointed," Kiff said by a means of introduction. He offered no salute, merely a nod of recognition and polite respect; the man and woman were obviously not apart of the Confederate Defense Force, and as such were not his superiors or ranking commanders (in his mind, at the very least). "But we do know that the weapon was a vibroknife, most likely Koorivan or Devaronian. Nothing sophisticated enough to manufacture vibroknives on this island planet."

The soft breeze that continued to blow through the trees muffled the sounds of the other woman entering the pool in the sheltered cove that Valencia had taken up in - which made it all the more surprising when Helly surfaced from the calm blue waters in front of her. A startled gasp left the Viceroy's lips as she managed to stop herself from scuttling backward away from the water to escape the possible threat. It was a very strange way for someone to approach someone who was sitting alone on a secluded beach - but when she reflected upon it, Helly seemed to be a unique person all around.

As she came to realize who this person was, and as Helly spoke, Valencia calmed visibly and offered her an incredibly warm and earnest smile. She lowered her legs down a touch to express some slightly less closed-off body language and lifted a hand to her face to push her sunglasses up onto the top of her head.

"I'm so glad you like it, Ms. Reyne." Her tone had taken on a slightly formal tone this time around. She'd spent some time following the invasion to try and sort out who it was that she'd run into planetside and tried to confirm who numbered among those that were lost... She'd learned about the Viceroy of Tatooine in that time and was now extremely relieved to see the woman floating in the waters before her.

"I must admit that when all hell broke loose on Eshan and I had to rush off... I was left worrying a great deal that you'd been harmed by that Mandolorian that I'd seen you with. It heartens me now to see you here, and seemingly in good health." The open and kind smile remained as she leaned forward a touch, resting her hands on her knees and sinking her toes into the sand, luxuriating for a moment in their warmth and the simplicity of it. She motioned with a subtle tilt of her head to the sand beside her. "You're welcome to join me if you'd like. It's not a very large beach, but certainly large enough for me to share with you."

Senior CDF officers and Knights were conglomerated around the scene, sorting through what evidence they had on hand. Alkor was among the lower caste of Knight confined outside the red tape, running messages and collecting data for superior officers who chanced by him. His fingers moved across his datapad idly as he sifted through the files, couriering information back to Command.

Keep to orders, stay at post, follow directions to the letter. It was a boring role to play, but a necessary part of his duty. Unlike other Initiates, Alkor was in no hurry to get to the front lines on a battlefield or bloody his weapons. The romanticism was lost on him.

Instead, he had told [member="Cardinal Vi'dreya"] that he would work to earn his keep. He would climb the ranks like every other Knight, starting from the very bottom. They had no cause to trust him. He understood that full well. So, he would work to fill the boots [member="Darth Metus"] believed him worthy to fill. Only time would decide whether he was fit or not.

He glanced in the direction of the hotel, some distance away. It was a murder scene, and he had some experience in the field, but participating in the actual investigation went beyond his individual mandate. "Did you hear?" one of the tourists passing by spoke quietly to another. "It's not just one, there's been a few killings in the last few days."

It was true. There had been several documented cases circulating in the past hour that caught his eye while browsing. Bestine was abuzz lately, and not in a good way. "What do you think they're trying to prove?" the girl asked. The couple hurried along their way before Alkor could hear any more of their conversation, but it was nothing he didn't already know.

He was still broken in places and bruised in others but he refused to let that deter him from his fishing trip. The sun was shining and the sea air was welcoming as he stepped onto the deck of the boat he'd chartered. There were others on this trip as well but he didnt mind he was mainly here to fish, Drink, and get a tan.

Finding a good looking rod and a better looking seat he flopped down and got comfortable as the boat left the dock and set out onto the open water. Not long after Jayce had a line out and had already killed one drink amd was holding his second already when the young lady next to him landed the first fish of the day...... Thats one helluva fish there darlin... Just make sure you save me a few yeah?

Hed spoke with a chuckle as just then he got a bit of his own. He quickly jerked back on the rod to set the hook before commencing to battle. Jayce pulled... Then the fish pulled... Then Jayce pulled some more.. This went on for several moments before the strange looking fish finally found its way into the live well and jauce found himself mixing another drink and casting another line....

Murder. Mayhem. The magic words that would have drawn Daxton to the scene of the chaos, except the Sith Lord was nowhere near a CIS comm unit. In fact, he had taken the opportunity to be buried naked in healing mud for the last hour after making landfall, soaking then nutrients and warm, while blissfully enjoying the feeling of finally relaxing for the first time in months.

The Sith Master was protected by a pair of cloaked figures who continually scanned the surroundings for hostile threats to their master. Hardly the image of vulnerable victim, but it was the most relaxed his security has been in recent memory enough perhaps to lure the foolish into thinking he was an easy target.

Objective: chill

He sat on the beach, the sand giving way as he flipped onto his back. His earlier exertions as he jogged on the beach and went through several acrobatics left him with sweat running down his body which the granules of sand used to cling to his form. A little exercise before relaxation.

His head pillowed on the sand and he just breathed. The warm sun heated the sands cocooning him in a cozy embrace that caused his eyelids to grow heavy. He was tired. Not physically but mentally and emotionally. And sometimes you just needed to unplug, get away from everything, and take a breather.

Down the oceanfront members of the Confederacy frolicked in the crystal clear water, the laughter and mirth ringing even over the gentle waves that washed ashore. The Confederacy needed this, a chance to recoup and remember what they were serving in the Confederation for.

To be able to live. To exist. To be free. And to have a life. The everyday grind threatened to sand that aspect away with continuous friction, for if they forgot why they were fighting for freedom then what was the point. So Derek laid on the sands enjoying a moment of respite.

Breath in. The distinctive smell of the sea, salt and minerals, entered Iapo's nostrils. She closed her eyes and the heat felt like a warm blanket on her skin. She sat down and gave off a slight hiss of pain when her thigh, healing since Eshan, was jostled. The injury was the reason she was here, actually. She'd gotten a week off to do what she pleased and had followed random other CIS soldiers heading to Bestine IV and spent a part of her first pay on the traveling costs.
She did not regret it, the atmosphere was joyful and she'd almost never experienced what the sea and the beaches were like. Iapo burrowed her toes in the warm sand, it tickled when it slipped through and she smiled.

She leaned back and looked at the sky. Coming from a cold moon, she'd rarely experienced heat like this and it made her feel a little over-heated. If she'd had something to do, it may have annoyed her, but for once she was free to lounge around and do nothing except sweating under the midday sun. Later she thought, she may go look around, see what the rocky inclines at the end of the beach were hiding, dip her feet into the inviting clear sea without getting her dressings wet, try to talk with some other CIS people- But maybe later, when the hottest hours of the day were behind her.
She stretched and realized that she was getting thirsty. Her lack of familiarity with this kind of climate had let her forget to take a supply of water and maybe something to cover her head from the sun.
Iapo sighed, she did not want to get up and get distracted from her wonderful state of relaxation she was in but her thirst was getting more insistent.

She turned to her side and burrowed further in the sand. A few meters away from her a man, [member="Derek Dib"] , seemed to share her plans: enjoy the warmth and the comfort of the beach, and she felt that maybe their gazed had crossed but she got distracted by the loud croak of a marine bird above her and her gaze followed its shape. When her gaze landed back on the man she decided to sit back up and initiate conversation. She felt kind of stupid for asking but maybe this man had taken some water and would share it with her and that would leave her free to lounge in the sand some more without having to head back so early to the room she'd rented in town. The effort of socializing was probably worth it.

"Hi, sorry to bother you, do you have some water?"

Was the man mocking her? Alwine frowned, looking straight back at him. It did not matter that she was tiny; five feet to be exact, and in need of standing very straight in order to reach all of the, but when she looked at someone the way she was looking at Lucien now, she could see much bigger. And much more intimidating. Her entire life, Alwine had been surrounded by bigger people, and mostly by much bigger men. It took much more than that to make her feel any kind of uncomfortable.

What her plan was? She opened her mouth to tell him exactly what it was, but they were joined by another person. Alwine rolled her eyes, and motioned for the two men to follow her as turned around and made her way towards the room with the body. It was upstairs, and the tiny woman had no qualms pushing people out of the way. The new one spoke of the vibroknife as they walked, but Alwine cared little for such things. To her, the trail was more important than the weapon. Other people could worry about the weapon.

Entering the murder room, the smell of blood was almost overwhelming. Again Alwine wished they had someone else, a certain blood hound, but you did with what you had to do.

"Blood leaves a smell," she said to the two men as she closed the door, her hands going for her uniform as she began to undress, "trails are not only left in DNA, not only left in stains on the ground. Scent makes a trail as well. I am a Lupine, and we are sensitive to smells. In my wolf for, I will be able to track much of it, and we can hope for all of it."

Standing stark naked in front of the men, there was no shame that appeared on her features. Alwine had no reason to feel embarrassed or uncomfortable; she was proud of her body but more than that, nudity was as natural to a Lupine as breathing. Slowly, her shift began to take place. Bones moved and cracked beneath her skin, stretching it before they shrank. Her hair vanished bit by bit, and gray fur began to sprout instead. Her limbs shortened and she softly landed on the ground, allowing the shift to take her over. To strangers, she had heard it say that it looked as though her body was breaking itself down only to re-build itself in the shape of a wolf. And she supposed, that was an interesting way to look at it, and true.

Five minutes later, there was a wolf standing there, only slightly bigger than a wolf-cub, but with the proportions of a full grown wolf. Alwine looked at the other men, and slowly ran her tongue along her canines.

A short time after taking her warm up swim Kurenai emerged from the beaches waters, head aching back a little to let her wet hair drop behind as to no obscure her vision. From what she could sense the beach was not quite lively, several familiar faces and force signatures becoming present in the last 10 minutes or so. [member="Jayce Pryde"] along with who she assume to be [member="Allya Vi'Dreya"] where just off the shore, both sharing a small boat and getting ready to start fishing. Some distance away the signature and smell of [member="Valencia Hadley"] and [member="Helly Reyne"] could be noted, though their actual activities were unknown, not that any of it was a problem.

Okay perhaps 4 more people did not really make it 'crowded' but even so it was nice to see others enjoying the time away from war and not being wrapped up in the whole 'murder' even taking place but a few hundred meters away. "... this could be more exciting... I'll make some tea", one of the few things she found relaxing, and could do on her own. Walking fully out of the sea she sat down next to her personal belongings, slowly unpacking several utensils and ceramic pot like wears, carefully placing them down herself on a flattered beach towel.
