Chancellor Emerita / Advisor of State
The official schedule of Adhira Chandra did not appear to be letting up any time soon. Between the careful negotiation with the Intergalactic Banking Clan and her economic summit on Eclipse, she had effectively exhausted her desire to sit at another conference table while everyone around her measured their... Well, in any case, when she accepted Chancellor Tagge's request to help facilitate a meeting between the Alliance and the key representative of Primo Victorian Shipwright, she did so on the condition she could do it on her terms. "These executives sit at conference tables all day, Chancellor, it's the last thing they want to do in their free time. They want to be shown their presence is appreciated. They want to enjoy themselves. Trust me."
So, she did what any good diplomat would do: organized a lavish dinner party at her country estate on Balmorra. The massive dining room overlooking the Western Sea of Balmorra was a sight to behold with glittering chandeliers and a table covered in some of the galaxy's most prized delicacies. Featured prominently was an almost full-size cut of hawk-bat complete with a hawk-bat head for garnish. The dozen or so chairs would be filled with the who's who of the planet including the Governor and several executives of the world (and the Alliance's) most prominent executives. Adhira would showcase the might of Balmorran industry, juxtaposed perfectly with a look at the Alliance's deep gratitude for Primo Victorian considering Balmorra as their new home.
At the head of the table, notably arranged in such a way as to allow for a measure of privacy, a number of chairs remained empty for Adhira herself, the Alliance representatives, and of course, their guest of honor, Ryssa Yvarro. While the dinner party guests chatted excitedly with each other to the tune of elegant string instruments, the Balmorran senator made her way upstairs from the dining room to receive her guests. She'd sent one of the most expensive yachts in the Chandra Independent Holding's fleet to collect them from the Bin Prime spaceport. Adhira was looking forward to this. For one of the first times since being elected, she felt very in her element. This was evident in the way she carried herself in the flowing black and gold embellished gown, the swagger in her gait, the confidence in her eyes.
"Senator Chandra, they've arrived."
Ryssa Yvarro
