Fortune Builder: Although the Callaesars are not the largest nor the most influential House of the Anaxsi aristocracy, being a Nobleman still has its merits. Cassius was blessed with a privileged upbringing in and around some of the wealthiest and most educated members of the Anaxsi upper class. Networking with and building a reputation among the planet’s rich and powerful granted him many opportunities to build his own prestige and grow his wealth.

Inspiring Leader: The Anaxsi-born High Admiral’s academic and career accomplishments have not only further bolstered his family name, but allowed him to build a reputation of his own as a skilled pilot in his younger days, and then as a respected naval officer as he matured. Although the weight associated with the Callaesar name may not travel far beyond the Azure Sector, to those within it commands respect.

Scholar: Cassius has always been an inspired learner when it came to the history of his people. More specifically, he has always shown passion for the planet’s deeply rooted Naval traditions. When he is able, the High Admiral has been known to volunteer his time as an instructor at the esteemed Pols Anaxes Navy War College, where he and countless other Anaxsi naval servicemen and admiralty have earned their degrees, ranks and reputations over the centuries.

Proud: The High Admiral’s own accomplishments are some of his most prized qualities and possessions. For better or worse, Cassius has always endeavored to overachieve in academia and throughout his naval career for the sake of recognition - often at his own expense, but sometimes at the expense of others. His willingness to use others or take part in aggressive social maneuvering has calmed significantly as he’s grown and built a name for himself, but he still maintains a powerful ego.

Kinslayer: Despite reasonable justification, some members of the Anaxsi aristocracy and navy hold harsh judgement toward Cassius for the execution of his own son. Born with an attunement to the Force, Ademus was seduced by the dark side and made to murder his own mother before taking up arms with a short-lived insurgency in the Azure Sector. Unable to forgive him for his actions and knowing his son only hoped to abuse their relationship to escape consequence, the then Admiral of the 12th Anaxsi Assault Line chose to deny his son’s attempted surrender on the battlefield and eliminate the rebel forces in their entirety. Although he holds no regret over his decision, the events and their repercussions still affect him deeply to this day.

Cynical: In his old age Cassius has become quite the cynic. After the loss of Lily & Ademus, Cassius invested much of his time and effort into his career. Ironically, this method of coping with the loss of his family only served to further destroy it, as his young daughter grew up to resent his cold and distant demeanor. As a result, he has a general distrust and disinterest in things he does not have control or oversight over, and possesses an overall grim outlook on life. Deep down, Cassius knows his actions only perpetuate his apathy and he wishes he could mend what he has broken, but he believes it is too late to do so in any meaningful way.
