GENERAL INFORMATION
GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION
  • Gravity: Heavy (1.4–1.8 Standard)
  • Climate: Extremely Hot / Volcanic
    • Surface temperatures routinely exceed 400–600°C in equatorial zones due to intense stellar proximity and greenhouse effects from the dense atmosphere. Prolonged exposure without advanced thermal shielding or coolant systems risks hull breaches, sensor failure, or structural meltdown for starships. Orbital stations require constant active cooling and radiation shielding.
  • Primary Terrain:
    • Boiling oceans of liquid mercury and metallic compounds, vast geothermal vents releasing superheated gases, cracked obsidian-like plains, and towering methane/ethane/ammonia storm clouds.
The surface is lethally inhospitable to unprotected life corrosive, high-pressure, and temperatures hot enough to melt most alloys. No significant native biosphere exists beyond possible microbial extremophiles in deep vents.
Mining operations dominate via automated drones, shielded crawlers, and orbital drop-pods, extracting unparalleled mineral wealth.
Habitation is confined to the planet's moons, where enclosed biodomes, shielded mining outposts, and orbital facilities use advanced solar/thermal shielding to maintain livable conditions amid reflected heat and radiation.
  • Atmosphere: Type III
    • Composed primarily of methane, ethane, ammonia, and trace heavy metals/volatiles; extremely dense and corrosive. Unprotected exposure causes rapid respiratory failure, chemical burns, and equipment degradation. Specialized rebreathers, sealed suits, or environmental domes are mandatory for surface activity.
LOCATION INFORMATION
  • Capital City: Ming Station
    • The central hub and de facto capital of the planet, Ming Station serves as the primary administrative, commercial, and shipping nexus. It floats in the upper atmosphere, shielded against the extreme heat, corrosive gases, and pressure. Larger and more expansive than its sister stations, it features a network of reinforced, shielded transit tubes (resembling massive connecting fingers) that link it to other orbital facilities for rapid, secure movement of personnel, goods, and resources.
  • Planetary Features:
    • A network of scientific, mining, medical, and habitation stations scattered throughout the upper atmosphere, strategically positioned to harvest resources from the planet's boiling mercury oceans, toxic gas layers, and mineral veins without direct surface exposure. Over a dozen moons host additional cities, biodomes, and industrial outposts equipped with advanced solar/thermal shielding to mitigate reflected heat and radiation. These moons provide more stable, enclosed living environments compared to the volatile atmospheric stations, supporting diverse populations from researchers to miners. The entire setup relies on the Atrisian Transportation Network for near-instantaneous transit between modules, enabling efficient coordination across the hazardous environment.
  • Major Locations:
    • Ming Station: The flagship orbital platform and heart of planetary commerce. It handles bulk shipping of exports, incoming labor/supplies, and trade negotiations. Its scale dwarfs others, with expansive docking bays, markets, refineries, and administrative spires. Shielded transit tubes extend outward like spokes, connecting to secondary stations for seamless integration.
    • Atrisian Transportation Network Hub: A dedicated nexus integrated into the broader Atrisian Commonwealth's advanced transportation system. It facilitates ultra-fast transit between Ming's atmospheric stations, lunar outposts, and even offworld links. Essential for logistics in such a hostile locale, it reduces travel times dramatically and supports the planet's post-scarcity ambitions.
    • Taamaki Station: Specialized cloning and medical facility suspended in the upper atmosphere near Ming Station. It produces medical supplies, cloned personnel (for hazardous mining ops), organ banks, and pharmaceuticals for the Commonwealth and galactic export. Advanced bio-labs and regen tanks make it a key asset for sustaining workforce health in toxic conditions, with potential for black-market or ethical intrigue.
    • Sookee Station: Cutting-edge mining and extraction platform designed for direct harvesting from the planet's surface resources and gas pockets in the surrounding layers. It processes raw materials on-site before transfer to Ming for export, emphasizing automation to minimize human risk in the lethal environment.
    • Ming Station MK. X: The latest-generation expansion module, constructed to address growing population needs, boost resource output, and enhance trade capacity. Larger living quarters, upgraded production facilities, expanded docking/warehousing, and multifunctional zones make it a modern upgrade potentially incorporating the newest Atrisian tech for efficiency, defense, or sustainability.
POPULATION
  • Native Species: N/A
    • The planet's extreme surface conditions (boiling mercury oceans, toxic atmosphere, lethal heat) preclude any native sentient life.
  • Immigrated Species: Atrisian Human, Atrisian Inosuke, Ren-Popo
  • Population: Moderate
    • Concentrated in orbital stations and lunar biodomes; total estimates in the tens of millions, supported by advanced cloning, medical facilities, and efficient resource distribution rather than natural growth.
  • Demographics: Predominantly Atrisian Human, who form the administrative, commercial, and leadership core. The Atrisian Inosuke a long-lived, genetically engineered sub-species dominate scientific, medical, and cloning divisions, leveraging their expertise to develop station systems, extraction tech, and bio-support infrastructure. The Ren-Popo, physically robust and heavily muscled, serve as heavy laborers in mining operations, equipment handling, and high-risk atmospheric harvesting roles that capitalize on their strength in the planet's demanding environment.
  • Primary Languages: Basic, Atrisian Script
  • Culture:
    • The stations and lunar outposts are cultural extensions of Atrisia proper and the broader Atrisian Commonwealth. Residents celebrate Commonwealth holidays, observe major galactic/Atrisian events, and maintain strong ties to the homeworld through holonet broadcasts, family communications, and regular transit links.

The Inosuke, created through experiments by previous Atrisians rulers, represent one of the newest recognized sub-species now full citizens whose scientific prowess has been instrumental in taming this hostile world. The Ren-Popo arrived as refugees after Sith forces devastated their homeworld, finding sanctuary and purpose here through Commonwealth aid.

While both groups approach many aspects as relative outsiders, integration is strong: Atrisians provide supplies, opportunities, and equality, fostering loyalty. Off-duty life includes recreation zones with libraries, entertainment holos, family comms terminals, diverse food courts, and easy transit to medical facilities, markets, or other stations. This creates a resilient, interdependent society where shared purpose in resource extraction and innovation binds diverse groups together.
GOVERNMENT & ECONOMY
  • Government: Constitutional Monarchy
    • The planet operates under the overarching authority of the Atrisian Commonwealth's imperial structure, with the Emperor/Empress as head of state and symbolic unity. Local governance is administered through appointed overseers, station managers, and merit-based councils that align with Commonwealth directives.
  • Affiliation: Atrisian Commonwealth (Planetary Government)
    • Fully integrated as a core economic asset within the Commonwealth, contributing resources and technological innovations to the system's collective prosperity.
  • Wealth: High
    • One of the wealthiest and most sought-after postings in the Atrisian system. The hazardous mining operations, atmospheric harvesting, and advanced processing stations offer some of the highest hazard pay rates available. Workers who commit to one- or two-year contracts often depart significantly wealthier than their counterparts on safer worlds, fueling personal fortunes, family remittances, and reinvestment into Commonwealth projects.
  • Stability: High
    • Established during the Jishi Era's fundamental expansions and reforms, Atrisia I (Ming) and its connected stations exemplify system-wide solidarity and self-reliance. By prioritizing internal resource extraction and utilization before external expansion, the Commonwealth has built a robust, interdependent network that minimizes vulnerabilities. Advanced automation, cloning support, and redundant shielding ensure operational continuity even in the face of environmental extremes or external threats.
  • Freedom & Oppression:
    • Life on the stations emphasizes functionality, safety, and collective benefit to the Commonwealth. Citizens and contract workers enjoy considerable personal freedoms access to recreation, inter-station transit, family communications, diverse markets, and cultural observances as long as they do not endanger personnel, infrastructure, or operations. Violations are met with swift, proportionate punishment under Commonwealth law, often including fines, contract termination, or restricted access.

Most residents are short-term immigrants from across the Commonwealth, drawn by lucrative opportunities rather than permanent settlement. This transient workforce model promotes meritocracy and high productivity but limits deep-rooted dissent; loyalty is reinforced through economic incentives, communal support systems, and shared pride in contributing to the Jishi Era's golden age of advancement.
MILITARY & TECHNOLOGY
  • Military: The planet maintains no independent planetary military. Defense and security fall under the protection of the Atrisian Defense Forces, with Atrisia I (Ming) serving as a critical strategic asset. It supplies vast quantities of high-grade ores and processed resources essential for Commonwealth ship construction and industrial output.
Cloning facilities receive heightened protection due to their role in producing personnel for hazardous mining operations and crewing Commonwealth vessels ensuring workforce sustainability in the lethal environment.
    • Atrisian Defense Forces The royal navy is the primary military forces defending the stations and planet with it being the most internal and insulated with its own contingent of living areas and the terraformed moons that house science and military personnel.
      • Royal Navy (Aerospace Self-Defense Forces) serves as the primary defending force for the atmospheric stations, orbital network, and planet overall. It maintains an insulated, self-contained presence with dedicated living quarters on stations and terraformed moons, housing mixed science and military personnel. This setup allows rapid response to threats while supporting ongoing research and resource extraction.
        • Handles aerospace defense, patrol of the upper atmosphere, station security, and system-wide naval operations.
        • Exploration Corps (Scientific Research)
          • A specialized branch under the Royal Navy focused on scientific missions, environmental analysis, resource surveying, and technological R&D in extreme conditions. Personnel often rotate between defense duties and station-based labs.
  • Technology: Galactic standard with Atrisian advancements
    • The planet operates at galactic standard levels but benefits significantly from in-system manufacturing and innovation. Atrisian businesses, including the powerful Sasori Research and Design corporation one of the galaxy's premier R&D entities drive cutting-edge developments in materials, shielding, cloning tech, and resource processing.

Backed by the Commonwealth's industrial base, Ming's stations produce much of their own high-end equipment. This self-sufficiency minimizes reliance on external imports for critical tech, supporting the Jishi Era's goals of resilience and prosperity.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The ancient world of Atrisia I often called in talks and legends for Ming one of the heroes of myth. The world was largely believed to be unabel to be reached with its proximity to the sun which for the longest time was true at least until technologies improved within the Commonwealth to the point they had advanced living, gravity and heat/radiation shielding. The Jishi era brought about many changes and technological improvements... with every world, moon and area of the Atrisia system finding a purpose and use to try and promote solidarity and allow them to survive in isolation from other governments for a time to recover.

Atrisia I was brought up as a major mining world secluded and away from most eyes... with its heavy atmosphere it would be able to provide mining and coverage for stations that developed medical technologies. The megastructure of the anshin was built and designed to circle it with a duel layer one around the world and stations and another around the moons that would serve to add some shielding from radiation and heat of the sun. Allowing mild terraforming of the worlds that are reinforced with environmental and advanced shielding on their own to provide diversity of environments this close to the interior of the system.

The new interest in it allows the planet to develop and become a major part of Atrisia just like the other worlds within the system. The continued interests, investments aand technological advances were able to see the stations and planets manufacturing improve heavily. THey would be able to do more and after many of the efforts post death star III the Commonwealth used the sun to handle larger chunks of debris that needed to be processed and smelted down to make resources for themselves. The refineries and stations would be a benefit along with all fo the other planets within the system itself.

Junko Ike Junko Ike , hello again! Hope your day's going well! This is lovely, as always. I just have a couple of things we need to address before I pass this up for secondary:

Unexploited Resources | I can't seem to find anythnig on Recainium. Would you mind either linking a source for the material or removing it from the submission?
Culture | Please expand this section for readers that may not be familiar with Atrisia and its various customs. This doesn't have to be exhaustive but could include major holidays, how the Ren-Popo and Inosuke interact and view each other, if they do anything outside of mining and research in their daily lives, etc.

As always, give me a tag once edits are completed or if you need clarificaton on any of the requested edits.

Ylla Caeli'runa

that is largely because there is no entry for it

Four-Seven

The device's recainium core also spread radiation into the surrounding area,

Like that is the extent of it aside from in the book itself which doesn't go into detail much more except that it is outlawed and illegal to sell in republic space.

I will get the culture edits though just not sure as I would like to keep the material since it seems to be something that will be important later possibly.
