- Force Light: Utilizing a network of Sith Runes which are integrated into the construction, the dress provides Athanasia a good measure of protection against Force Light, a significant perk, given her nigh-constant exposure to dark side entities and Sith influence as a Kissai Priestess.
- Augmentation: Achieved via an energized and reactive polymer construction, the dress lends its wearer a moderate boost to strength, speed, and athleticism. This has many benefits in the field, including the ability to move with increased efficiency and speed, more potential lethality in hand-to-hand combat, and many other significant boons.
- Energy and Kinetic Resistance: Given its extreme resistance to energy and kinetic weaponry, the dress performs exceptionally well in protecting the wearer from the most common weapons on the modern battlefield.
- Mechanical Mutation: Due to the surprising degree of advanced technology and automation implemented into the dress, it is quite vulnerable to malicious influence from a skilled practitioner of mechu-deru, provided that they have a clear line of sight to the wearer.
- Neural Interface: As the vestments depends on a network of data-brains to filter sensor data and the wearer’s brain activity readings, the failure of these artificial intelligences will have a deleterious effect on its efficiency, especially in combat and other demanding theaters of operation.
- Passive Reception Array: The network of passive sensors integrated into the surface of the dress will naturally lose effectiveness as it takes damage, degrading the wearer’s awareness as they come under more fire by creating blind spots in the dress’s array of passive sensors. While the suit is capable of protecting the wearer from blaster and energy weapons’ fire to an extreme degree, these types of weapons, in addition to flamethrowers, CryoBan, and sonic projectors, are especially effective in destroying the dress’s network of surface-integrated passive sensors, due to their increased area of effect over slugthrowers and most bladed weapons.
Commissioned by her master, Venlana’ulak, after her first battle, Athanasia Starfire’s Kissai Priestess Dress is derived from the standard battle wear of the Kissai, which typically takes the form of a light betaplast cuirass beneath a set of robes. Modified with an extensive suite of sensors, electronics, utility, and Force enhancements, Athanasia’s dress is extremely versatile, offering utility in spades to make up for its wearer’s lack of Force-sensitivity. However, the outfit's capabilities are limited by its vulnerability to Force-based technological tampering and a relatively fragile surface-integrated passive reception array.
Nevertheless, the dress is a powerful protective system for a capable Priestess, intended to defend her when engaging in rituals of esoteric Sith magic under intense, front line conditions.
