  • This advanced warship contains all of the standard engines, shielding, internal and external systems that would be expected of a ship of this kind

  • God of war - The ship is the pinnacle of Ashlan Warshil design and is both the toughest and most dangerous ship they have every commissioned. Its power puts it amongst a dozen ships that vie for most powerful in the galaxy, this one ship can take on fleets by itself.
  • Large military complement - a ship of this size would not be complete without an enormous garrison complete with training facilities, medical facilities and all the associated supplies. If there is something an invasion force needs, the chances are it is carried aboard the Ashla's Might.
  • Internal ship storage - Carrying 6 frigates into battle gives the SSD extra tactical flexibility to operate alone. None of the frigates are nearly as powerful as their enormous mothership but together they are a dangerous squadron that can perform a multitude of tasks.

  • Large target - the enormous size of the vessel makes it an extremely easy target, even if a shop was to miss the center of mass by multiple kilometers, it will still likely hit the vessel.
  • Sluggish Maneuverability - with such a large mass, even the powerful SSD grad engines struggle to accelerate and decelerate quickly, and with having so much of the engine power in one arc, it makes turning quickly a challenge.
  • vulnerable rear arc - a classic problem of star destroyers, guns at the front engines at the back. This ship is relatively well defended from the rear, but with the majority if its firepower unable to fire directly backwards it is a weakness.

When Isla Draellix approached Archangel with this monumental task, Enzar was shocked, concerned buy excited. It took two years to build and required vast assistance from Kuat, but it is done.

The Ashla's Might, in battle, anchors the Ashlan fleet, using it massive bulk and firepower to ensure that smaller vessels are not placed at risk. When it comes to firepower, there are few ships that rival it and it has the power, of the Captain sees fit to glass entire planet's. Coupled to this capability is an enormous marine capacity and the capability to hold over one hundred thousand other troops and all their support vehicles.

The internal storage of the six advanced frigates was something that Hanaya herself suggested, a might ship like this, could be laid low by faster, more nimble enemies, so the solution was to add a an escort complement that can be deployed in little under 4 minutes if necessary. This also gives the ship huge flexibility as it can deploy the ships together as a wolf pack or individually in support roles.

This is a very nicely made submission! I found interesting the "Dedicated internal bays" solution where you sacrifices the squadrons for the larger ships. Very unique solution, and I don't see any problem with it. Maybe the RPJs or John will find this a problem, but we'll see. So I accept it, but this needs a secondary approval too.

Pending Approval.

John Locke John Locke thank you for taking the time to review this.

I have updated the manufacturer as requested.

Regards the shield projection, I don't have a specific ship based example but I do have several I would like to submit as examples of the principle in action while I keep looking, in the hope that they are enough.

  • CIS annihilator droids projecting a large enough shield bubble that droidekas can stand inside it
  • Small shield projector on Endor projecting a remote bubble large enough to encompass the death star
  • Small projector, with fairly small established power plant protecting high
  • Single shield projector on cristophsis making large shield at least km's wide to protect army from artillery
  • Beast mounted shield Generators in the first battle of naboo covering entire gunman force.
I have also read anecdotal comments of Mon Cal shields being a bubble that fighters can hide in but yet to find an official source. The projectors for this are the glowing dots which would make them dozens of metres across as projectors. The shield is not specifically projecting and defending individual ships but making bubble large enough for the fleet to hide in if they clump together. This would mean an enemy that flew inside the bubble could ignore it and potentially benefit from it.

I hope that these are enough, it's one of those references that I am sure I remember from somewhere but might be mixing up my canons.

Thanks

This card is an upgrade for the rebel transport in the xwing miniatures games. It is a shield projector that results in the transports shields taking hits instead of an ally so while it doesn't explicitly say it is doing what I intend, I think th intention is that it is projecting shields around its allies.

While I understand what you're aiming for, and there are examples of planetary defense shields etc. My concern is however that this is very open to abuse within the context of fleeting and Chaos. You are effectively extending an SSDs extreme shields to the rest of a fleet, giving them protection far beyond their abilities. Use of the shields like this is not something that is covered by the original submission and raises additional questions of its own.

This is a case where I'm going to need a separate tech sub for this new version of the shield to make sure all the potential questions are answered such as how is the shield affected by the other shields of the fleet within it's bubble etc.

For now, I can move the submission back to the pre-factory for you or you can remove this shield for now and sub-mod it in later once the separate submission is ready.

I have made the decision to remove the fleet projection capability until I can get a new sub worked out with the creator of the Skjöldr shields. I have removed mention to it and replaced the shield projection strength with a strength representing the amount of military forces it can carry instead.

I hope that this change allows the vessel to be approved.
