- The interior compartments carried up to two weeks of rations, including survival shelters, food and water.

- Fast and Agile: The Flýja-pattern Escape Pods can reach fairly high speeds and are easy to manoeuvre. They are also trying to give their passenger(s) a better chance of survival.
- Well Defended: These escape pods have extensive protection to protect their passenger(s) in all areas. Be it a physical attack (it has a number of shields or just a reinforced outer hull) or just against hacker attacks coming from outside (firewall, anti-virus, etc.).
- AI and System: An excellent AI is installed in the pods, thanks to the navigation programs, the AI is also great for controlling the pod, even if the passengers are unconscious or asleep. The system is also capable of automatic environmental control and has inertial damper. Both the AI and the system do everything they can to get the passengers to survive the voyage until they land on a planet or are collected/rescued by another ship. The system can be activated / controlled remotely or by words with the appropriate codes.

That’s why they can’t be in the pods for more than a week or two, as food and water will run out. The passenger will die of thirst sooner than they will drown if they are not found and not rescued.

They really only aim for a quick and short-term escape, in space, in the atmosphere of the planet, or under water, because it can be used anywhere.
