Weiss tried to dodge the force attack made by the sith assassin. Completely missunderstanding the range of the attack, He failed, the hit struck across his torso and pieces of his armor came flying off. The flesh burned and Weiss let out a painful morun as he stumbled back.

Just seconds prior to it they almost had breathed victory, but now the situation was a nightmare. Almost 20 sith wielding deadly lightsabers easily started to cut the Storm troopers to pieces.

Weiss turned bewildred at the roof tops realising that the entire Echo sniper squad were not answering fire at all.

"This is going to hell..." he decided holding his sore torso in a vain effort to keep his blood where it belonged. Because of the small reinforcement of Trask The sith were distracted enough for Weiss to dodge away from the siths immidieate prescence, but the end was near regardless.

Holding his rifle in the other hand he grimaced and raised it toward the sith, firing to prolong the innevitable.

"Troopers! Protective Circle - VIP The King of Crina!" he bellowed pushing the shreds of the battallion to sacrifice themselves until last man.

As the storm troopers tried to form up around the King Weiss noticed the approaching enemy sith troopers. He grimaced again...

"FOR THE EMPIRE!" weiss kept imbuing discipline and hope to the troopers himself constantly spraying the attackers but the stom troopers were beginning to make too easy targets for the deadly sith and their incoming pawns.

“Bring the heavy guns to bare on those frigates.” Aram ordered hearing the request being relayed through the loops as the Imperial’s smaller ships began to break ranks and scatter through the Sith line. “Reissue the orders to the fighters to ignore the frigates, I want runs made on the destroyers.”
“Yes sir.” Deesat said as he too observed the battle, not through the viewport as Aram did, but from a holographic display behind him. “We have large fighter waves heading through our lines, it seems they are trying to run against our cruisers.”
Aram smiled. Of course they were, he wasn’t up against some starship captain here, he was fighting an Imperial and a very talented one at that. “Wait until they are almost upon us then release fighter waves to counter, once repeled have fighter wings fall back behind our mass and await further instructions.”

The fighters shot from the cruisers which had held them in reserve and headed straight for the fighter lines heading for the destroyers. Green laser fire scattered across the empty space and explosions began to ignite around the area as the conflict became an individual affair.
To their command cruiser’s left one of the Sith Wyrrock’s exploded magnificently as a lucky shot went through the core and ignited the reactor within. It was the Sith’s first loss of the day and yet Aram did not move from his position at the viewport.

“Sir, it seems several transports have broken through in the chaos, shall I order a pursuit.” Deesat questioned.
“No leave them, this is worth far more of my time.”
“But Sir, they could be the royal family, or the delegates of…”
“I care not for refugees Captain.” Aram spoke harshly and returned his glare to the space battle before him. “Bring the pincer in closer, try to get their flank cut off and begin fire towards sector three eight.”
“Um sir?” Deesat was looking at the screen before him realising that the current order would result in Aram’s left flank intermingling with the advancing Imperial Fleet, it would also require them taking fire from the remaining Sith line. Theoretically it would limit the ability of the Imperials to manuveur out of the firing line therefor taking heavy damage, but it would result in the possible loss of the Sith’s entire flank.

“Are you questioning me Captain?”
“No sir, of course not.”

"Cap, we've been sitting here a while. What're the odds there's something we can't see coming our way?"

"Now there's a thought." And one that should have occurred to him already. Vastor grimaced. "Thanks, Futz. We already think there's a stealth ship on the battlefield -- let's make a short jump to the other side of the system."

"That'll invalidate the precalc jump we've got set up."

"So we'll make a new one once we get there. I want to see this to the end."

The Noghri nodded, his feelings inscrutable as ever. The Lor Pelek jumped to hyperspace, bound for the other side of the outer system.

“No.” Aela said as she started to follow Kaili's directio, first flipping the switch then gently pushing on the lever that Kaili had pointed out to her. “They can't. Mother and Father picked this ship just because of that.”

That wasn't entirely true, Mother had wanted this ship because it was aesthetically pleasing and large enough to fit all of the family, even Auntie Amorella and Uncle Cameron. It made for a good travel vessel, and the stealth components were just an aside bonus. Of course telling Kaili that wouldn't at all be reassuring, neither would telling her that Aela's own heart was pounding like a drum.

“What next Nohei?” She said quietly as Felix the droid suddenly spoke up.

“Warning.”

Aela's head snapped to the side, looking at Felix angrily as the droid spoke.

“Ship has not left Planetary Gravity well. Hyperspace travel currently not possible.”

Felix spoke in the most neutral droid voice possible, and Aela reminded herself that they really needed to change that. Her frown creased further, and she looked to Kaili with a sort of confusion. Crina was far enough away that the gravity well shouldn't matter, so that would only mean...she glanced at the fleets.

“Okay.” Her voice was calm, smooth, no hint of panic. She squatted down so her eyes were even with her little sisters. “Nohei, I need you to figure out a course that Felix can take so we get out of here.”

Aela knew next to nothing about all this, she only hoped her little sister had explored enough to figure it all out.

Well you know, a thousand elite soldiers, phrik clad royal guards, pissed off monarchs. Can't keep them all entertained. Darth Kentarch said to [member="Darth Ferus"] telepathically. One of the stormtroopers had thrown out several stun grenades. The Sith Lord summoned a force barrier around himself to protect himself from the detonations. The battle order was becoming increasingly chaotic, while the first battalion had sustained major causalities, more stormtrooper regiments had joined the battle. Kentarch switched into Form III defense to deflect as much blaster fire as possible, and maintain his stamina. Much to his relief Ferus, as well as several Sith Knights and apprentices had arrived.

We need to slice the head off the dragon. They're only here to defend their King, and his mark is mine to take. Kill him and the rest will retreat if they don't break into a route beforehand. Rally the others and fend off the royal guards and the stormtroopers. I'll face the king. Kentarch responded to Ferus. Kentarch then pushed forward. Sending out devastating telekinetic attacks to clear a way to the Crinan monarch. The Sith Lord charged forward, knocking and cutting his way through several stormtroopers. Finally he pushed through the hail of blaster fire and into the presence of the king.

Darth Kentarch could hear the man speak, at glanced he realized that armor was something tougher then something standard issue. "...so let's come at me shall we." The king challenged. The Sith Lord raised his blade straight up in front of him, a gesture he had accepted the challenge. "When this is done, I'll find and break your wife, and end your line once and for all." Kentarch swung his with saber, the grip in both hands for strength, the red blade itself arched down in an angle right at King Calvarona's neck, as it was likely the weak point in his armor.

No matter how strong a Sith one was, no matter how versed they were in combat, they could not see everything. They could not feel everything. With all of his power and skill, Darth Ferus was so focused on his attack on Weiss that he did not notice Trask or his group. With his attack launched and effective, he didn't notice one of the shots coming at his back. The bolt itself slammed into his armor, burning right through the tough leather and into the thin songsteel plating. The force of the shot was enough to send the Zabrak flat onto the ground.

The five assassins that came to assist now surrounded him, acting as a shield for the aspect of war. But even as they began to knock back the bolts that surely would of claimed the mans life, he did not move. The Sith Lord, powerful as he was, could not see everything. Black skin only turned darker, to pitch, as the once red man laid there on the ground.

There were no voices from the Sith around the lord, as each knew full well the master was still very much alive. Without warning the group would scatter, leaping into the groups or at single troopers and getting as far away from the fallen lord as they could. Why? Another burst of fire shot out from around him, this time far more explosive and dangerous to those close.

Ferus stood once more, glistening tears over his cheeks. To some, it would look like weakness. But to those who would look closer, they would see these tears coated on his back. Long ago the Zabrak had turned his tear glands into a fast acting healing solvent. The limited supply was good for a single major flesh wound, such as the one inflicted just seconds before.

Another sound of an explosion sounded from above the palace itself, and what seemed to be a massive missile embedded itself right beside where the Sith stood. The missle would blow open, revealing it's true nature as a weapon carrier, and within it was none other that the Zabraks own Sith Sword. Gripping the songsteel shaft of the spear Vrasjyme his gaze went to Trask and his men. The rest of the stormtroopers around were dealing with the other Sith, leaving just this squad with a very, very angry Sith Lord.

He made no move to attack however, and instead spoke. His voice boomed across the whole battle field, calling out to the remaining troopers themselves.

"You fight to the death for your empire? Are we not of the same mind? You give your life for the same cause as us, but for a different and false leader. Our resolve is true, stronger, as you see us here now, slaughtering each of you. Surrender now and join the One Sith, or die."

Tmoxin ground her teeth at the Sith Knight’s questioning tone, but only said in the calmest voice she could manage while traveling through a debris field with potentially active mines and asteroids, “My Lord, again I apologize for the delay. But we are nearly there now.” Luckily her helmet was on so he couldn’t see her eyes rolling, although he would most likely feel her annoyance, anger and fear seeping out, giving him wisps of negative energy on which to feed. Either way, she would need to speak with the Commodore about how to be in better communication with him at the start of these operations.

But they were finally down on the ground and the shuttles disgorged one of the 182nd battalions. Even though the Academy’s shield generator had been installed to prevent an orbital bombardment, Commander Temi didn’t want to take any chances and wanted to swiftly capture this target and round up any prisoners. She deployed two All Terrain Scout Transports in addition to the batallion and stationed the AT-STs on the front lines.

“Send a communication to the Head of this Academy to disable the shield and surrender or we blast through anything standing in our way, shield, soldier or student," said Commander Temi. She didn't wish cause damage to the Academy itself as it would be a choice place to train Imperial Inquisition stormtroopers or Sith acolytes. But if push came to shove, she was prepared to destroy any material riches along with those who dared to fight her relentlessly trained troops.

The rest of the stormtroopers would be preparing the mobile Force cages and collars for use if and when they would encounter resistance against practicioners. “My Lord,” she said to Sage Bane. “The front line is ready to begin. Once the shields have been disabled you can enter the Academy.”

Kitty cried out as she turned to notice her master lying face down on the ground. She was about to rush over to him when suddenly the sith that were protecting him jumped away. Kitty was furious they left him for dead however their intention become clear when Ferus got up and sent out another more power explosion of fire than the last. Using both her hands this time Kitty again used a force power she was not too familiar with to protect herself and the sith around her. She sacrificed a large amount of her energy to make sure it would hold against the force and was large enough to cover the other sith that were near her. After it had passed Kitty was very fatigued. The troopers she had been cutting down moved away to protect the king while reinforcements advanced from their behind.

The situation was starting to take its tole on Kitty and the stress of the situation was really beginning to get to her. Kitty was distracted from the battle trying to control her stress and keep from shifting. Luckily the sith around her protected her during her moment of distraction. The fatigue was too much though and Kitty's inner battle to prevent the beast from surfacing was a losing one.

All the suffering and pain, it was horrific. Many soldiers of this elite unit had families or at least some people they cared about. The thought of what their final thoughts were inevitable. Maybe they'd die to these people but at least they'd go out fighting for another day.

Javos was impacted and injured badly. Even through out his training, he never learn how to secure a force user. Maybe its odd that a Imperial soldier wouldn't know how to do that but understand he never really feared that they were this powerful.

The situation seemed to be nearing its end. Javos was on one knee trying to catch his breath and regain energy. He stood up slowly.. preparing to go at em at full force. The man close to his 30's stood up completely aching. The trooper took one step after another trying to get close with the other group.

In the next few moments, he suspected his fate would try him or even take him.

Fleet Composition:

Post Count: 4/20

In the face of overwhelming firepower, the asteroids before Black Sword Command began to melt away until there was more and more space opening up between the fleet and their intended target, that being the inner reaches of the system. Finally, a decent size gap had been blown out through the asteroid field, and the Rear Admiral smiled grimly as he looked about the destruction being wrought by the engines of the Sith war machine, and cried out another command: "Command the fleet to scramble all fighters, and have them move through the opening in the asteroid belt to attack the enemy fleet. All ships will cease firing on the belt until our fighters are through." The command was filed down through the ranks, and quickly relayed to all of the Star Destroyers in Black Sword Command, and soon enough the empty space between the Sith-Imperials and the Crinan-Imperials was filled with the shrieking sounds of fighters streaming from the massive gullets of the Star Destroyers like a vast swarm of locusts.

The fighter swarm was led by Skull Squadron, an elite starfighter squadron made up of some of the One Sith Empire's best, and they were identified by the skull-patterns painted on their fighter's hull. As soon as the fighter swarm was clear of the asteroid field, the fleet resumed in it's destruction. By now the fleet was nearly through the asteroid field, and the larger ships began to funnel through the gap they had created, but it would be a long time before the entirety of the fleet, let alone the massive five kilometer dreadnaught, was safely through.

Fleet Composition:
"I have children of mine as well you know, so it wouldn't be the end. I don't intend to let you get that far though." The King's energy blade turned up as he pressed off the ground to send himself in the opposite direction of the incoming attack, letting the weight of it push him a bit farther so that upon touching ground again he turned his counterattack into a lunge even as the Royal guard fanned out to encircle the Sith lord as they orchestrated their attacks in rhythm with the King's own where openings presented themselves. They would press the Sith however they could, but it was clear as Sith reinforcements came they could potentially overhwelmed. Although many of the Sith transports attempting to land near the Palace would be shot down by the Structure's various flak defenses. Still, they would land more soldiers eventually and if they landed further away where the AA couldn't hit them then they would still be able to cross to the Palace by foot at some point.

Realizing this, there was really only one other option. "Everyone back inside! Evacuations have been completed except for us by this point. Head for the hanger and get aboard those shuttles!" Another dozen royal guards came out the entrance at that point to help form the rear of the retreat, the King himself intending to fall back along with his guardsmen once the less equipped regulars got themselves moving. Until then the Royal guard armed with blasters would form a line to cover the retreat, targeting the Sith troopers and using their built in shields and phrik armor that made them more ideal to provide such cover for the retreating as the Palace's defense emplacements targeted any approaching Sith shuttles and riddling them with heavy fire. The King held his blade carefully, his original guard fanning out to focus on the Sith so they didn't try to rush past them trying to hold the rearguard as the Imperial forces slowly eased their way back in the Palace where the enclosed space would limit the enemy from jumping around as well from surrounding them, they wouldn't be able to cut ahead of them with the AA keeping aircraft away.

Back at the Cosmina Academy though, the few remaining teachers watched the Sith soldiers arraying themselves, the AT-STs especially looking menacing. Still, they had the advantage holding a location the Sith would need to come inside to root them out of. However, they did not have to stay either. Orders to the garrisons not under attack and who weren't evacuating were being told to go to ground, to either resist if they choose for themselves or to bear with the invaders until they could be liberated someday later. Still, the rather . . . .miffed. . . teaching staff of the Practitioner Academy did feel like they were owed some toll on the Sith forces as they prepared their reply, the group over the terrace chanting together and focusing their efforts combined in the force to begin effecting the sky, dark clouds slowly forming for who knows what purpose.

"Kestral Squadron get your butts in gear here they come!" Alva clutched throttle of her TIE Seeker as the rest of the 181st Imperial FIghter Wing followed behind her, along with the defense squadrons of the Crinan Defense Fleet as their own Interceptors joined the Remnant's in their counter attack against the incoming Sith fighters. Before they did though, the cruisers and frigates of the main fleet released a salvo of missile and torpedo fire that would lead ahead of the defense squadron's charge and hopefully damage the Sith's forces before the Squadrons clashed. This was exactly what Alva had been waiting for personally. "To all Imperial Forces, the enemy has launched their attack against the fleet at last. All forces not yet evacuated get onboard the shuttles now. All major refugees have exited the System and all checks have been completed, we've got most of our resources out of here people. The production facilities of the shipyards are being leveled as we speak to deny the enemy support. All that's left is for the rest of you to get out of there now too, we've done our job, we're not going to waste any more time or people stalling for time, we've succeeded in our parts,"

Leaving her comm chatter off now, but leaving the frequency open so she could keep tabs on how the Imperial Forces pulling out now were doing, Alva ran her hands over her instruments and controls as the Remnant's Squadrons closed the gap with the Sith.

It was show time. Captain Vonstrogg set a course for the planet just behind one of the drop-ships, and once they had made entry from orbit, things were looking chaotic down below. The fighting had already begun and it didn't look like there was much room for planning anymore. Touching down beside a drop-ship full of Stormtroopers, Captain Vonstrogg exited his shuttle with his T-21 strapped and loaded. His Imperial cloak flapped against the wind as he began moving alongside his brothers in arms - at least that's what he considered them. Some of the soldiers seemed to be caught off-guard by the chrome-clad individual and his appearance. It was virtually foreign in all regards to them.

Since things were already happening quite hastily, there wasn't much of a point to speaking with the commanding officer of these men and women. The only proper thing to do now was press onward and show the One Sith the ferocity that was "The Steel Fist". Plus, it wasn't as if they had been listening to any of the attempted communication - or so Captain Vonstrogg felt.

However, one would be curious as to why these people decided to split away to form their own Empire? Surely they would have had the forethought to understand that it wouldn't last, especially with the Sith still running business as far as strictly Imperial matters went, Rovasus knew deep in his heart that these poor bastards were in for a rough time. They may as well just have dug their own graves on this very rock.

As the Stormtroopers and Captain Vonstrogg marched onward, their reflections caught into the chrome-plated veteran. He was just like them, really. A soldier was a soldier, there were no differences in the regard that they fought for each other and the banner they boldly represent. They were of the true Empire, not a traitor legion that dealt in petty absolutes that no one else with a brain dared to embrace. Captain Vonstrogg had every intention of showing these brave souls his ability to put fear into the hearts of opposition.

Proudly he stood by his brothers in arms; proudly did he serve his Empire.

It was marvelous at how the Scourge and the rest of the Black Sword fleet had managed to swiftly and effectively vaporize any trace of that once dangerous asteroid-minefield. A single Imperial Star Destroyer carried an entire system's worth of weaponry and material and now an entire fleet of them were firing upon the field to make way for the invasion forces. Commander Temi had only taken a single battalion with her groundside, but now even more Stormtroopers and personnel were being shuttled to Crina's surface.

"Query: What now, master? Do we get to go kill people now?" While cold mannerisms and a mechanized personality matrix held Sigmund steadfastly, the impatience was unmistakable in his synthesized voice. "I'm dying to kill something."

That crude joke made even the stalwart officer break into grin. "Do you want to head planetside and accompany Commander Temi and her Sith compatriot? If so, you'd better catch the next shuttle." Hans ran an inspecting glance over the droid, "You've my blessing. Just don't get turned into spare parts, you're not useful to me like that."

The Commodore could've sworn he saw Sigmund smile. "Affirmation: Yes, master."

The droid hefted the rifle up cheerfully and made his way out of the bridge and towards the armory where it would stock up on ammunition and other necessary supplies before taking to the hangar. Sigmund literally caught the next shuttle before it took off, surprising the Sergeant 1st Class with a recording of the Commodore's orders before they reluctantly headed off. While that was happening, the Scourge merely cleaned up the rest of the larger asteroid debris and awaited further orders.

Jaron heard the call of the Sith to the head of the academy as they were told to lower their shields and surrender otherwise a full frontal attack was about to take place. The shield generator was Jaron's target then. Not that it would be easy, but the task was better than twiddling his thumbs. The Sith would still kill and maim, but the lives of the students didn't need to be wasted by those who refused to surrender and send them out to fight. At the end of the day, the students of the academy would never match the skill of the Sith.

Working his way to the generator, Jaron moved about the shadows, killing only when he had to. The students were preparing for the assault which was about to take place, and so Jaron moved with relative ease. Nearing the generator, he found several guards standing by. Clearly they were preparing for a raid, or some kind of inside job. If one could simply reach out with the mind and pull the lever to disable the shield. Reaching the lever with his mind, the shield was lowered, and the lever then broken. The first of his many helps was completed.

"All units! Fall back to the shuttles!" he ordered through the com. As troopers backing away, they were still caught in the deadly flurry of the siths. As soon as the troopers who looked like they would have a chance to reach the shuttles was exiting, under heavy fire. Weiss turned. He had one thing left to do: He knelt and aimed.

slow breathing... take a deep breath... steady... steady... there... @Darth Ferus came into the scope. Weiss squeezed the trigger and the shot hurled itself through the air, passing over several heads and somewhere in there it hit something. Weiss, could not see but he needed to get out of there himself. He turned half limped, half jogged his way toward the shuttle bay.

As he did the com was filling up with chatter. "335th moving out, 338th lift off, 336th on our w... *kaboom* Several shuttles were actually taking off, but more so were shot down as they tried to reach to the skies.

Weiss grabbed an arm of a fellow trooper who aided him onboard. the shuttle was about to lift among the last. He turned his head casting a final glance toward the palace, the city on fire. How could this have happened? The Sith lords, tearing their Empire apart. Dark solid hatred filled his heart at the sight of the sith and their puppet soldiers overruning the last of their defences on the ground. They would return... was the last thing he remembered thinking before the bloodloss and his wound outmastched the adrenaline in his system. He collapsed on the floor.

It wasn't working. Kitty's stress levels just kept rising. She tried her best to keep it down but it only seemed to make it worse. Next thing she knew she started getting larger. Her clothing ripped to shreds as her size grew and her lightsaber dropped as her opposable thumbs vanished, turned into large paws with the rest of her fingers equipped with larger, sharper, and stronger claws. She continued to swell in size and was forced onto all fours as her skeletal structure changed to the point of no longer accommodating an upright posture. Kitty was now a one ton beast of a cat and rage settled itself in ever crevice of her mind. She could no longer distinguish friend from foe and turned against her fellow sith as they were the closest targets to her. Caught off guard the 5 sith around her were mauled to pieces. No healer in the galaxy had the skill to put what was left of them back together.

Kitty looked for the next nearest living thing to take her stress induced rage out on. The fleeing troopers looked like the best target. Her impossible speed caught up to them fast and she began mowing them down while their backs were turned. Some were chomped in half by her powerful jaws and others were delimbed by her sharp claws.

Whether it was the result of a passing storm or of Sith magic, the sky darkened overhead. Tmoxin awaited a reply from the Head of the Academy but none came.

“Commander, the shield is down,” said Sgt. Major Ulysses.

"What the devil?" The Hapan officer looked at the perimeter of the Academy and Ulysses was right, the shield generator had been disabled. Still it was strange that they heard nothing from the Cosmina personnel, no warning or no white flag.

“Very well then,” said Tmoxin. “Press on to the Academy and keep the AT-STs in the front in case of a sudden attack.” She turned to Knight Bane.

“My Lord, the shields are down and we can enter the building.”

Tmoxin had no idea that the mysterious Dark Jedi had assisted her battalion. She merely thought it was part of the silent surrender by facilty and students. As thunder rumbled and rain poured down on the stormtroopers, they marched forward to the Academy entrance blasters firing at any moving target.

Post's 6/20

"Sir, not all of us are gonna get out of this like you warned me. " ,he said on his com link, the tough lad charged. The trooper barely stood, his knife in hand. "Ill hold the sods off, as long as I can sir. Live to fight another day, I have no family but you guys left" , he paused "I would gladly be captured, tortured, or killed for every one of you. " , not following orders the private continued onward, he was fearless, and although fatigued he could still give a mean blow with his knife. Everyone knew if their was not a force to stall them that the retreat would not work, " Hey you, cat sith! Have a piece of me! You lying spy!" , he taunted the kitty, remembering who she was. He advanced toward her, and leaped with pure explosive power , as if to tackle her, his close combat technique would come into play soon.

Alva Calvarona said:

"Hound, you keep watching me like that I'm going to start thinking you actually like me." Jericho said with a tight lipped grin, not that anyone could see behind his helmet, in his cockpit with yards of vacuum between himself and the nearest fighter. While he was light hearted on the radio, he was hyper focused on keeping the Sith fighter forces away from the capital ships. He switched the channel to Kestrel Squadron. "Alright Birds, lets go get us some. Flight one and flight two target the heavier fighters, flight three you are on overwatch, keep their faster units off of us but keep disengaging. Flight four go for a flanking maneuver, then turn back toward our lines as if you were fleeing. That'll set up our second pass."

Leading Flight One of Kestral Squadron, the TIE Seekers slipped in between bolts of coherent light and the fighters they came from. Each of Kestrel squadron were certified elite pilots in some of the fastest, most maneuverable starfighters in the galaxy. They also kept away from the Skull Squadron, knowing Hound liked to get elite kills. Jericho targeted a heavy fighter, spinning left and right in erratic movements as he hit the enemy bird with his ion cannons. When the enemy shields fluctuated, he fired his lasers and fried the pilot through the transparisteel cockpit. He dove and came up from the bottom, taking out a lighter fighter that hadn't seen him. By this time he had a few fighters cut out of the pack and following him. He juked side to side, then pulled up, going for a complete vertical in relation to the plane of the system and perpendicular to the direction the enemy wave was traveling on. Unlike in an atmosphere, the G forces were all the same in a vacuum no matter which direction you went. Jericho juked left once, then flipped backward and hit the brakes. He righted along the same axis he had been going on, behind the fighters that had previously been chasing him. Applications of Ion cannon and lasers started making quick work of them.

Looking at his HUD, his squadron had thus far only taken minor hits. No one was out of the fight yet and they had taken a toll on the enemy, barely a dent compared to the numbers they had, but a dent nonetheless.
