STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES

[+] Indoctrinated: His allegiance to the Imperial cause is unfaltering. He swore to uphold its laws, defend its territories, and preserve the New Order's life without hesitation or second thought. Service, Fealty, and Fidelity are tributes he has learned to live by in service to the Dark Lord.

[+] Honed: Years upon years of training within the Empire's various military academies and schools have turned a once innocent and naive boy into a fighting man. Hand-to-hand combat, marksmanship, fleet command, and other aspects of war are as natural to him as breathing. While Hans may not be much of a personal fighter, its common knowledge that his training in Teras Kasi is superb. His physical condition is in peak condition, which is something that can be easily gathered.

[+] Educated: On top of his physical and martial abilities, he's a fairly intelligent man. Going to the Imperial Academy never just teaches you on the forty thousand ways of how to kill someone; it teaches you much more than that. Mathematics, sciences, military history, art, philosophy, and politics were all things incorporated into his studies. Hans is no genius, but he knows his stuff. Learning and adapting is the only way to succeed.

[+] Tactical Ingenuity: Hans's best trait is being able to lead valiant men and women into battle. He's observant, adaptable, cunning, and willing to sacrifice everything for the sake of victory. While he attempts to preserve the most amount of Imperial life and resources, he's not above sending in soldiers to get killed in order to discover his foe's location or undermine their position. Fleet combat is is superior quality, remarked as being one of the rising stars in the fleet due to his early command over a Star Destroyer.

[-] Impersonal: Considering what has been listed above, it's no surprise that Hans isn't much of a personal combatant. He's able to hold his own in most situations, but he is typically armed with a handgun, adorned in mild clothing, and usually has other people willing to fight on his behalf. Get past them and you'll most likely beat the snot outta this Imperial.

[-] Humanocentrist: As such with any traditionally based Imperial, he's a staunch believer of human superiority over any other being. Most humanoids are accepted under this belief, but Hans treats humans with respect on equal grounds while conversing with a Duros, Rodian, or Twi'lek will get nothing but bitterness and spite from him. Xenophobia is also a huge aspect in this tenet of his ideology, so other beings he's associated with often have a hard time cooperating with Hans.

[-] Anti Force: Almost as much as he hates aliens, he hates Force sensitives. While they may control this Empire, he only sees them as beings who have been mutated and altered to be able to subjugate the oppressed masses untainted by their curse. Sith, Jedi, Jensaarai, Dark Jedi, it doesn't matter to him. They all have cosmic wizardry and he sees it as his job to undermine their way of life and eventually destroy every single one of them. In the terms of the One Sith, however, he begrudgingly accepts their dominance over the empire, heeding their laws and customs.

[-] Morals: What morals? Yeah, that's right, those things don't matter to this grey-uniformed fella. If rebels are holed up in a heavily populated area, he'll just bomb the place to smithereens to eliminate only a pair of threads. Two mothers fighting over whose the mother of this boy? Eliminate both of them and take the boy as your own. In order to preserve order and the Imperial way of life, he'll stop at nothing to execute such methods.

APPEARANCE:
Dressing with military service and bearing is essential to Hans's life. Ever since he's been a young boy, being indoctrinated into the Imperial life, uniforms have been important. They determine rank, status, placement, unit, and so many other things merely by glancing at a piece of cloth or colored ribbon. As such, Hans is typically always adorned in his simple, grey Imperial officer's uniform, smartly accompanied by his flight cap and a blaster pistol.

Other accessories aren't needed or desired for his lifestyle, so he tends to leave them off unless the situation dictates against such actions.

BIOGRAPHY:
Born to a fairly mediocre and simple family on Anaxes is where young Hans began his life. His father, a starship mechanic by the name of Clark; his mother a traveling nurse, was named Annie. They lived a simple, peaceful, and rather dull life in the beginning. It was Clark's and Annie's dream to just start a family after both completed studies at their respective colleges, soon conceiving Hans and giving birth to their beautiful boy.

It was that glorious life that they had been waiting for. That kind of life that you'd expect to see in the suburban areas of some place like Alderaan or Corellia. Hans's beginning was uneventful and full of nothing but love and adoration from his parents and life-long faithfulness from his neighborhood buddies. He played, he learned to read and write, and he learned to hate everything that was different from him.

Both Clark and Annie hailed from generation upon generation of COMNOR officials, Imperial officers, and dutiful servants to Palpatine's Empire. What their ancestors believed in was soon passed down to Hans as a young child. He was taught to hate, bully, and harass the rest of the galaxy that didn't look or act like him. Those instructions were simple enough for an eight year old to believe, so he complied and eventually turned into the shcoolground menace. Wookies, Duros, Sith, Rodians, and other aliens were subject to his harassment and undying hatred.

As the boy grew older and his hateful antics increased, he started peering into his future. Becoming a mechanic like his father didn't interest him: too unimportant. Maybe a nurse or doctor? Nope, all boring things - and he preferred to take apart beings rather than put them back together. Rather, he found his little notch in life within the Imperial Military. The One Sith had taken over and his family was relatively far enough away to actually see any of the warfare happening, but they sure were better than that old Republic. These people knew how to rule.

So, he joined up as soon as he could. Hans didn't desire to be anyone's pawn, servant, or tool either, so the Officer Corps was his first avenue of approach. Becoming cannon fodder or a mere gunner aboard a warship didn't quite tickle his fancy as razing a world with Imperial might did. Crushing insurrections, wiping out the aliens, and eventually exterminating those cosmic wizards became things on his life-long to-do list.

Hans entered the academy with grace and style, taking quick to its harsh, disciplined lifestyle and regimented beliefs regarding warfare and upholding law and order. The studies were even easier. Hans dissected each replayed holofilm of battle after battle, analyzing the approaches to the situation much like an experienced commander would. Hand-to-hand combat courses, marksmanship exercises, fleet command drills, fighter simulations, all of that was natural to him. It felt like the steel grey of his empire pumped through his veins more so than blood. Blood and steel - that was what he was about.

While he liked running around with his Stormtrooper-destined comrades, or dogfighting his pilot compatriots, those two roads didn't spark that fire within his chest. What did was standing aboard the bridge of a warship. The helm at your control, the worker bees of grey-uniformed servicemen, and the steely glint of turbolasers swinging around to aim at their targets. Complete power, complete destruction, completely for him.

That was what he wanted, so he got it. Graduating from the academy was a piece of cake, albeit he wasn't first in his class like he desired. He did receive honors from the academy, though, which afforded him a junior officership aboard a destroyer for training in his future career.

This would prove to be the most important happening in his life, as he would eventually transition into full command of a Star Destroyer after years of faithful service.
