The Giggledust broke lazily through Dathomir's pink-red atmosphere. Seated in the cockpit was one Scherezade deWinter, her young face full of contemplation. After months in the CIS she had finally had the time to sit down and catch up with what areas outside of the CIS were up to, and she hadn't liked some of it at all.

Dathomir was a planet full of ancient history, and ties to her family. Ties she wanted severed in every possible way. The Dathomirians had given up on their rich culture and history, had given in to the Mandalorians, granted the surrounding highways to them in return for protection in time of need. Starting a right off war against them for such silliness was off course off the table - for some Force stupid reason the CIS and the Mandalorians were allies. So her options were very limited.

It had taken a full hour for her to decide what she wanted to do. And then less than a day to gather whoever felt like coming with her.

The official reason, of course, was the silk. Spider silk. She did really want it, though it gave her a comfortable excuse. Her cargo bay was empty, read to be filled with much of it, as well as a few spiders. Maybe she'd even adopt a spider as a pet.

But there was more than that, and she had confided only in those who were currently aboard her ship.

Operation: Judgement Day was about to kick off. She had chosen her sacrificial lambs - the members of Spider Clan would fall under her wrath. If there had been any way to get away with it, she'd have also planned to take a few with her. But no. Some pleasures would have been better off saved for later.

She was still contemplating her plan of action as her ship began to land near the docking area of the Singing Mountain Clan. There would be a precious few areas in which she could make mistakes. But she was certain she could get it to happen.

Rex was above Dathomir, he was on board his star destroyer. He was in his hanger bay with 12 members of his forces and 3 ant droids. They were prepping to go and do some surveys on the ground of dathomir. His company was thinking of potentially making a location on the planet. Really he wanted to visit the witches here and potentially learn something from them even. Since he left the CIS he had wanted to do some training in his witch powers. They were prepping a drop ship when news came in.

"What, what do you mean Scherezade deWinter is here. I thought she was still in CIS space since TAE fell. That doesn't bode well. Never mind we are still going to ground I will confront her, find out why she is here." The party boarded the drop ship and headed to the planet. It wasn't long before they hit ground side. Rex and his men began heading towards Scherezade ship.

Shia knelt in the dead zone before the gate, deeply aware of the battery of firepower aimed at her back. What a ridiculous fortress, as if it could actually stop anything that chose to come out of this gate - in either direction! Manda only knew what a Dathomiri Spirit would make of it. But... there was more than a small spark of pride her people took this seriously now. Perhaps blind ignorance was giving way to appropriate wariness. Anger is blind.

She could feel the pulse of energies flowing in and out, the horrors contained within. But the gate was stable, so that meant the problem wasn't here. Damn. This would have been simple. The other gates were much more difficult for her to access, and just this once she didn't feel like asking Old Man Rekali for help. She was a big girl now, with a Force Tradition of her own. She could sort this problem with ghosts karking haunting half a dozen Mandalorian families. But you can hardly tell them there's a leak in the Manda, can you? So prosaic a term for such a beautiful, terrible thing. Maybe she should ask some of the local witches for help? They quite sensibly avoided the place even before Mandalore began building the partially complete fortress behind her. But they were wise women.

She sighed and rose to her feet, raising one hand in the ancient 'all clear' hunters sign. The noise as dozens of blasters powered down was quite audible, even from here.

Okay. Maybe something coming out might feel it. If it had physical form.

She donned her buy'ce and started to walk back to the fortress and the Huntress.

The Force moves darkly around a creature that's about to kill. Spend enough time in the company of death and the Force, spend enough time learning to still your heart and listen, and you'll feel those intimations.

In others, and in yourself.

Complex premonitions brought Ember to Singing Mountain territory. He'd never been terribly welcome here, not after his choice to follow the dark side of the Force. There was little the clan could do about his presence, and he didn't bother to make himself objectionable. He just waited. For what, he wasn't certain.

A harsh breeze over the forest, and a ripple in the Force, suggested some kind of stealth vessel was on the approach. He reached out to feel who or what might be aboard. In other times, he'd have sent an explicit warning, a deterrent. These days he understood that enemies deterred would just try again when he wasn't around. It had happened many times since his death, and at many hands.

He concealed his presence in the Force using the Fallanassi White Current tradition. Maybe the new arrivals had felt him before he did so, and maybe not. He hadn't exactly been broadcasting his presence, so as not to provoke Singing Mountain.

A sword took form in his hand.

Dathomir. Rapidly, it had become the deWinter's home. She was a Cavataio in blood as well and while born and raised far from here, on Endelaan, she belonged here as well. It was a fact Father had put into her head and heart a long time ago. She was not a Witch and yet, here she was, among the Witches of the clan she belonged. And more importantly, among the Rancors that were in her care now.

On the top of the mountain, she observed the valley below. The animals in their care were willful and strong but undeniably loyal. Her time with them had made Celestine understand them better than she ever had. They had taught her greater loyalty than she herself had ever known and for that, the young Princess would protect them with her life if need be.

Her palms pressed against the marble railing as she contemplated. Mandalorians had been dealt with, next thing she had in mind involved reaching out to a family member she had never met. Yet, Celestine had a good source within the Red Lady that Mother didn't know about was feeding her intel. She was, after all, one day going to take over her grandmother's company. She preferred to be informed even if she wasn't permitted to have a say in it yet. And her source had informed her Mother had gone out to reach out to the Confederacy Vicelord. If the Red Lady was willing to open negotiations with them, despite their history than it was within her right to do the very same.

Down in the cargo hold of the Giggledust was a young sixteen year old Dathmoiri. The cargo hold being empty was a relative term. Not just because Mini was down there. She was going over five empty crates she had brought along, the extent of her knowledge how the crates scientifically was limited.

Testing the crates with a single remote control she turned them on then off, a simple test using her limited knowledge in this situation. From her perspective everything was in working order.

Soon she will be able to get her spider silk. That is if those evil nasty Mandalorians would leave her alone!

The Warlock Gate.

He remembered smoke choking his lungs and the flames lapping around him as he stumbled through the remains of a village, the inhabitants slaughtered by Mandalorian Empire commandos. He remembered the bile stinging the back of his throat as he found the blaster riddled body of a woman, still clutching her lifeless child. In the dirt street, the sight of body parts, scattered like autumn leaves by grenade blasts, made him empty his stomach.

Consumed by rage, he had run to the Warlock Gate to face them: the Mantises, the Mandalore, and all those responsible for the slaughter of his people. They’d kicked him to the dirt and laughed. He remembered the hard face of a woman who had suddenly stepped through the portal and told him she was sorry, then demanded his forgiveness. As if her soldiers did not walk about with the blood of his people on their armor.

Kade Kol-Rekali remembered lying on the ground, unable to stop them from leaving, just as he had been unable to stop them from sacking Dathomir.

Never again.

That same rage still consumed him as once more he walked toward the Warlock Gate. But this time any Mantis he found would feel the bite of his blade.

She could feel the cold metal under her feet as she was going... home... no she had never called Dathomir home.. her home was with Mommy Shinju and Dharma. She was here mostly because her sister was... support family and defend Minerva.... or was it just make sure she didn't try and kidnap someone and take them home. He waited in the spare room. Gerwald had claimed it as his for particular reasons, but primarily because Scherezade had let him use it once. It was different on her ship when others were there. Every corner he turned reminded him of that day, but this was not about that day at all. Today they were on an unsanctioned mission, one of a personal nature. Gerwald would not have said no even if he could have. It was Scherezade.

Dathomir was a world Gerwald had never been to. The idea of women controlling everything made him want to laugh, but as he thought about the Mandragora he couldn’t. They claimed what they wanted just the same.

Spider Silk. That was what Gerwald wanted. The strength of it would make great armor. What they would have to do to get to it, that would be the fun part. Gerwald liked killing. He loved the taste of blood in his mouth. The more he simmered on the thought one thing was clear. He loved the wolf more than the man, and he was not a good person. He would admit it soon, but for now it was enough to know it, to embrace it.

As the ship landed, Gerwald walked to the cockpit. His armor was fastened. He was ready to kill.

”Let’s make this quick, Scherezade. Then we can celebrate.”

He hadn't been on Dathomir since the purge initiated by those he used to call his cultural brothers and sisters, a purge in which [member="Mira Rekali"], his only daughter, had been lost, thought to what extent he still hadn't ascertained - he was somewhat certain death hadn't taken her, for he knew how that sudden absence felt in the Force. Now, It was a significant degree more difficult to track down that which couldn't be sensed. After searching every place he could think of that made sense, and hazarding a guess at some others, he'd set to searching through the Nether, having held off assuming the worst by sheer will and logic; he came up empty in that as well, and ended his second-ever prolonged journey through the plains of hell with a visit to the ghost of his wife. She would want to know. If you'd told a twenty-year-old Falcon that he'd be going to hell to visit his wife, he would have thought you crazy, being unmarried, and otherwise taken it as a threat to be dealt with by CorSec. That seemed an age ago.

Time had done nothing to dissuade him from the path taken on the day of Aaralyn's murder, the ability to visit her shade, no real comfort when he couldn't hold her in reality. The absence of his daughter had only served to drive him further into the darkness, and it was this kind of man that walked out of the gate, with anger for the foundation of a wearied and lost soul and right into the path of [member="Kade Kol-Rekali"] - the rage rolled off of this one in waves. He saw the helm, the armour, and immediately tensed, but his gaze followed the long shadow up the new structure, and thought trekked through his head about the tower that wasn't there the last time he'd put boots in the dirt of his clan home. It'd been months, and more than just a few.

"What..." one dark, gravelled word hissed through clenched teeth, and a finger extended up the column, "...the kark is that?!" and his eyes returned to Kade.

Shia turned towards [member="Kade Kol-Rekali"] and [member="Falcon Rekali"] a full second before the gate runes glowed, some time ago she might have cursed the universe, but these days she had a duty to attend to. She raised one hand to stay the guards - unfinished or not, the fortress construction site still had a small army sat on it.

"Someones' idea of a security post. But the aliit alor... took it as a rather standard tactical problem."

She remembered Kade, she wondered absently if this was the Old Man's doing - another test - if it was, there were going to be words. Words like 'thank you for your deep concern for my personal spiritual growth, but leave me alone'.

She stood at the edge of the clear zone, outside of the effect of the defending braal and rested her hands easily. She kept her visible attention on what was likely to be the saner of the two visitors.

"Welcome to Dathomir..." She glanced down at the lightsabers, then took a guess. "... master Jedi, please don't mind the mess. It's not here to stop innocent travellers."

Her gaze watched the second figure out of the corner of her eye. Oh yes, she remembered that armour.

“I’m sure the Singing Mountain Clan still has some shops”, getting back up Minerva moved away from the crates. Moving over to her sister Mini sighed, “We’re not here to shop today. Well I’m sure we could buy some spider silk thread from someone at the Singing Mountain Clan. What would be the fun in that though? You know there are some ancient ruins in those caves. Maybe we could find something long and forgotten” , with Minerva that could spell major trouble.

Location: Morte Clan Stronghold within Morte Mountains, Dathomir

It had been several hours after the awaken and collapsing outside of her stronghold. The crying with depression was draining on her. That was a more of feelings she normally buried with strong substances. They were what took her away from the plans she had before. So, going back was not plan she had in mind, the idea of dealing that thing in her head had to remain off the table. Of course, she knew deep down that voice had left like it wanted to. They were Petra so sticking around and being a pain was how it was.

Slowly getting to her feet, the struggle was real to get up. It took a bit of time to show Petra that she was not fully back. She checked to make sure her body was healed. It made her realize that a need to change to happen. Black tar and rags for an outfit were not fitting for her. Turning back, the tedious walk back to the housing wing of the clan’s hold had to begin. The only bad thing about it was time to get lost in her head again, and she really did not want that.

“Child, do share with us what you plan to do now?” Old cracking, the dry voice said from the darkness.

“Fix everything… you know that.” Petra openly spoke back to the darkness as she walked.

“You can’t do that, child. You will just go back to the booze and drugs when things get difficult. That is your normal reaction and you know it.” Darkness growled at Petra after finishing its words.

Petra reached up to wipe a tear that was about to run down her cheek. The words were true and at first, she had it hidden. However, it caught up and destroyed three years of her life. The family that was still around was pushed away and forgotten to the deep spiral of self-destruction. A bit weakly replied, “I will find my Mira, Lauda, Mirus, and most importantly Fabula. That one deserves to be treated better… I did her wrong. Then bring them back to be a happy family by rebuilding it with them.”

Wicked laughter came from all direction. It faded to be replaced with a harsh tone. “Really, child? What an idiot to think you can find them and have their support. You killed three of them and forced them back to the realm of the living. They did not have to say over what you did. You once again did what you want…”

“Just f*’ing stop!” Petra yelled. She began to walk faster to get away from her own mind.

“Child… until you accept your sins and not use outside influences to suppress your guilt. You will just repeat with falling into the pit of haze. This time might be the last for you. Like I said before, you almost killed yourself this time around.” There was a moment of silences before the darkness came back to add. “How about you find the others that aren’t so close to you. The ones that survived the slaughter fest like Mirus. We know there are others. The blood sings and it song never lies to us… and there one here, child.”

“Fine, whatever gets you to leave for good.” Petra whined back. She was happy that this could end. Now reaching her old home. It was clear that people had gone through took what they wanted. Heading to the bedroom, the closet still had some pieces of the clothes, but they were torn or as bad as her current rugs that hung from her body.

Since the water was cold, showering was fast. The dress that was not destroyed was picked. The different shades of green dress lower part was torn up but it still worked for Petra. Playing around in the dress to make it feel better on, she was not a fan of such things. It was known in the family and many witches about her view on it. Sadly, she was stuck with it.

Petra gave a sigh while leaving her old home. The song of the blood was the goal at the moment, but what sucked in her mind was the interaction with a person. There were many before the OD; however, the interactions were not civil like this one would have to. She went to the highest of the levels in the stronghold to follow the familiar song. Getting a clear view of the one up there, it confused and left her sadden a little. The woman that felt familiar had Petra convinced that her son Angelo was alive. That truth would have help pull her out from the hole she was circling.

Walking up casually, Petra looked down to see the valley. She pleasantly speak while knowing reaction could be anything, “They are gorgeous like your song, child. Song of devotion, honor and loyalty like the man it is about.” Petra reached up to her cheek to remove a tear. A single one for her boy that died for said loyalty and honor. “Last time I heard the song from one that wasn’t my boy, a small baby girl carried it… and look at you now.”

"You."

Kade took one step toward [member="Shia"] Krayze and a green lightsaber sprang to life in his right hand with a satisfying snap-hiss. His fingers tightened on the hilt until they hurt. Beneath a fur-lined coat, he wore a durasteel breastplate painted green and gold, mirroring the coloration of his scarred beskar helmet.

Green for duty.

Gold for vengeance.

The Empire added insult to injury, constructing fortifications on sacred ground. Did they understand nothing?

The expressionless T-visor helm swiveled between [member="Falcon Rekali"] and the Imperial Mando, before finally settling on his enemy. She desecrated the soil of this place by her mere existence. She wore silver armor of an ancient design, its surface pitted by a hundred battles.

He would peel it from her corpse and melt it into slag. A gift for her Mand'alor.

Flush with anger, Kade paid little heed to the number of guards steadily gathering.

Looking at her sister when she was getting closer to her the pink hair girl walked over and put her sword on the crate nearest them. She opened an arm and wrapped it around her shoulder. "Well we can do that and find something old and lost... oh maybe they make dollies.... mommy would love some of those. OOC Note - the conversation between Kat and Scherezde was RP'd out on Discord and brought here with her full consent.

rosedic2.png
They were close to landing now. Scherezade was practically bouncing in her seat, her knives ready to be drawn. She had to actively work on getting his excitement levels to go down or she was going to kill first ask questions never, and that in turn would cause a diplomatic clusterkrak that they all wanted to avoid. The mission, self-imposed as it was, was simply. And she couldn't screw it up right off the bat for herself. She could screw things up later if there was no other choice.

She'd just been about to get up and run a lap on her ship when the Giggledust was hailed. Scherezade blinked. Katrine? Now? Right now?

Scherezade hit the buttons. "Hey Kat!" she greeted the woman who was her friend, who had freed her from a five centuries long imprisonment, and was teaching her in the ways of the Ryloth Witches, who were very different in more aspects than one from the Dathomiri ones.

"Where are you going?" came Katrine's voice.

"Uhm...," Scherezade collected her thoughts for half a beat, trying not to give Katrine a reason to worry, "Kinda in the middle of landing on Dathomir right now. Singing Mountain Clan territory."

"....Why?"

"Got a few spiders and pounds of silk to grab, kill some weak Spider Clan witches in order to make the Witches stronger as a whole, thereby hopefully making them stronger and better and more capable of standing up to the Mandalorians without inciting a diplomatic clusterfrack. How's your day?"

"It's fine.... don't distract me with a question. What were you thinking? You can't just walk into Singing Mountain territory and expect cookies!" Cookies? Cookies sounded lovely! Scherezade usually wasn't into sweets, but today was going to be a day full of battle, she was going to need her empty carbs when it was done. "Okay. If you're going in.... tell them you're my Ward. But don't forget to say Van-Derveld Hawk when you give them my name.... actually, tell them to tell Satara. That's my Nona. Not a lot of them know who I am so might not mean squat to them." Scherezade contemplated on the words, the few moments giving Katrine time to talk again. "They're not gonna be thrilled. It's their territory. But I mean, if you're going after the Spider Clan, explain to them what you're doing... maybe skip the bit about them being weak and all that. Just tell them you're there to kill the Spider Clan 'cos they suck. Yeah. They can't stand the Spider clan, that might help you."

"What do you mean no cookies?! My mother and grandmother and a cousin or aunt or few have ties here! Are Dathomiri cookies any good? Anyway, I'm not expecting a red carpet, Kat. But thanks, I'll tell them. I have no war with any of the other Clans unless they try to stop me. Got all my knives with me in case that happens."

Kat went quiet on the other end. Scherezade poke the controls, wondering if the connection had been lost. There was supposed to be some weird white noise when that happened, wasn't there? She wasn't the greatest of pilots or of control board people. She was kind of bad at it. Autopilot was the greatest gift technology had given her.

"Witches don't do red carpets," there she was! "And no, they don't greet with cookies but they make great ones. Just don't ask about the ingredients, some of them are a little off, though if you don't know, you might like them.... I made the mistake of asking, as I do... ANYWAY! Yeah, they're a little iffy on strangers entering their territory. Having the karking Spider Clan live in OUR mountain doesn't help things. But you gotta tell them who you are 'cos stranger." It was new, to hear Katrine speak like this. Usually when she said us, our, it was all about the Mandragora. Come to think of it, Scherezade couldn't remember really discussing the Dathomiri Witches with her in the past. "You're family. But they gotta know that. And they're still gonna look at you funny until Nona says it's okay. It's kinda complicated. I wasn't born yet, they don't really know me. In fact, you might have a better chance because they don't. The Witches don't really like me in the future. But Nona puts all strangers who aren't a threat to the clan under her protection and as my ward, she'll call you family. Just don't insult their rancors. And don't look at their men. I mean, ask Nona if you're curious. They wear shirts so you can't always see who's claimed. And... and... I don't know what else to tell you. Just be careful. Don't die. Or you will never hear the end of it, I swear." Scherezade was truly touched. Ever since Katrine had freed her from the pebble, the young Sithling had thrown herself time after time into danger, danced away from death after being a hair's width away from it, and bounced back. But this was the first time Katrine voiced concern for her actions. If Katrine had been on the Giggledust, Scherezade would've broken her no touching rule and given her a huge hug. "Tell Nona to pack you some of her green cookies for me."

Wait, Nona?! "Wait, I'm gonna get to meet your grandma?!"

"No, my grandma is dead."

"Nona," Scherezade corrected herself.

"My Nona is dead. She was killed in a Spiderclan attack with Nono when my Mother was little. This Nona is my great great grandmother."

"'I am the Ward of Katrine Van-Derveld Hawk and I come expecting green cookies, with a few in a box to bring back to her. I'm also here to weed out some of your Spider Clan.'", Scherezade tested the words o her tongue, "Got it. Remind me to ask you why they don't like you in the future. They sound like an awesome bunch, except for the Mandalorian blight thing."

"No, no. Say 'Ask your Clan mother about it, she'll know about her.' They'll say 'never heard of her', 'cause they're the biggest liars... okay, not liars but still. They know Mother claimed Father but still."

"And the Clan's Mother's name is Satara. Got it." Scherezade stared out through the front. A few more seconds and they'd finish the landing sequence. On top of that, she could already tell that people were moving about. She didn't even have to spread out with the Force in order to understand that. Worlds with a high percent of Force Users always had that weird effect. "Okay Kat, we're about to finish landing and I can sense movement nearby. Need to go. I'll bring you your cookies and some silk. Also, if I die, you need to help Gerwald kill my grandma. I'm gonna haunt you forever until she's dead. Okay, love you, byebye!"

"You'll haunt me anywa--" Scherezade cut the communication and the Giggledust had finished lading.

Gerwald entered the cockpit, and her face lit up with a smile almost immediately. She nodded to him as she rose from her seat, noting the armor he had. In the beginning, he had been the one to learn much from her. Soon though, she knew, things would come to a change. For one thing, she'd been planning on asking for training in armor. She'd never done that, and the scars that decorated her five months old body were a painful show and tell to that. The two made their way down, to where Minerva and Bundori were. She knew Minerva was a Dathomirian, but she hadn't asked her too much about her past. Of Bundori, she knew less. She made a mental note to get to know the two girls better on their trip back to Confederacy space. They were the only two to volunteer to join this mission without having a previous connection or relationship with her, and that alone put them a step up above most people the young Sithling knew.

"Okay everyone," Scherezade with a huge grin, the excitement flashing in her eyes, "we're landed, we're about to leave. Follow my lead, I've been instructed on what to say and do before we reach the Spider Clan territory. Please don't try to stab, maim, or kill anyone that does not belong to the Spider Clan. We're not officially here so don't mention we're Confederacy unless you're being tortured. And don't mention the Confederacy even if you are, we're not technically supposed to provoke the filthy Mandalorians, even if they're better with heads on spikes." That covered... Almost everything. "One last thing," she added. She might not have been Dathomiri, but she knew more about Dathomiri history and culture than most people she knew, and not everyone who was outside of the Mandragora knew the importance of certain things, "anyone even look wrong at a rancor, I'll cut your head off myself. We get in, talk a little bit with locals, kill a little bit of other locals, and fill the ship up with spider silk for the masses. Other than that it's a free party, so have fun!"

And with that, the merry group left the Giggledust.

Other people were moving on the planet, she knew. A small group of Singing Mountain Clan were already gathered near the Giggledust when they exited, the Dathomiri air egulfting them. It had a vastly different smell than Ryloth or other planets she'd been on. Almost sweeter. She loved it.

"I am Scherezade deWinter, Princess of Endelaan, daughter to Nessarose deWinter, granddaughter to Shery deWinter, Ward of Katrine Van-Derveld Hawk," Scherezade announced herself, getting the words right. Or so she hoped. It had been centuries since her mother or grandmother were here, but hopefully the bit of namedropping would make things easier as both Shery and Nessarose had tight ties to Dathomir through several of their different leaders. Force, she loathed the name dropping thing. "Katrine Van-Derveld Hawk would love it if her Nona could send her a box of green Dathomiri cookies. Aside for that, I am here to make you stronger."

"We do not know a Van-Derveld Hawk, nor any of the other names you have mentioned," said one from the group, "you are a stranger here. You do not belong. Leave us."

Scherezade grinned. Thank the Force Katrine had give her a walk through of what to expect. "Liar," she answered, "you are led by Satara Hawk, who is related to Katrine. You will go to her and ask her if my words are true. Also please remember to mention the green cookies thing, Katrine was vehement about it. And once things check out, you'll point us in the direction of Spider Clan. My knives would like to greet quite a few of them."

The locals mumbled between themselves for a few seconds, and the one who had spoken took a step forward, nodded, and left.

Which meant they had at least a few minutes before she returned. A few minutes of nothing to do and not really being able to go forward without pissing them off. She hadn't wanted to stage a planet-wide dissent, so for now, they were playing by the rules.

She turned around, giving assured glances to Gerwald, Minerva, and Bundori. There was nothing to worry about. They totally had this.

Sitting under a tree, Ember cast for a localized vision, a bit of farsight he'd learned as a Keetael hunter once upon a time. The technique was designed to catch a glimpse of a target from a planetary or interstellar distance. His target today was maybe three kilometres away. The vision snapped into sharp relief.

The girls’ conversation with Singing Mountain raised more questions than it answered. Endelaan was very far away, and the Spiderclan was too reclusive to make offworld enemies.

Then again, they made for an isolated, friendless, convenient target. Nobody liked the Spiderclan, per se. Ember had a longstanding history with them, and not all of it positive. But in an offworlder raid on Dathomir natives, Ember's side was basically predetermined. Especially when the offworlders flew a Sith Infiltrator, threw around the name Van Derveld, and carried lightsabers. One even had an old Sith Empire alchemical chainsword, an unusually brutal weapon.

Sith? Maybe, maybe not. Sith-adjacent, anyway, and that was good enough for him.

He stood, rubbed his knees, picked up his sword, and set off at a brisk jog. Physical enhancement had always been one of his talents. He made excellent time.

To reach the Spiderclan caves from the landing site in Singing Mountain territory, the offworlders would need to pass through or fly over a specific area. Witches of all stripes had died in this narrow pass over the centuries. Old bones, broken weapons, and tattered spider-silk clothes protruded from the earth. Treacherous footing, but he'd worn good boots.

He changed his image and Force presence to match a Spiderclan sentry. Then he just...waited.

The Giant Zabrak made his way to the drop ship walking alongside Rex, "Catch me up to speed vod. What are we dealing with? " . The Hulk of a being in his usual beskaram, holding his heavy repeater in hand. There were eleven others, in the dropship, however the defender of Mykr owed his life to Rex on several occasions. One at the defense of 85th street with his supporting artillery, that had come crashing GA forces to make them manageable. The second time where he literally drained himself of the force to save the massive brute from being crushed by debris .With these act's, the athletic hunter had given Taff his respect. The Fett had little respect for most force users, but made that exception for his allit and fellow mandos . Skosk's yellow eyes peered through his T-Visor Buyce , and waited for the information of the commanding officer of this mission.

Rex was glad Skosk was here. The mando would be able to help him out. The man knew he was a force user which was good. Because they were going to be facing a number of them. "Okay skosk, what you need to know is Scherezade and who ever came with her will most likely be force users and witches to boot. So please tell me you brought something you can use against them?" He would look at his men with him. He sighed he hoped they could talk them down. But if not the man would need weapons to take them down.

He continued towards where the ship was last spotted landing before long. He walked out "So we need to be careful they might have local support. Guards stay with us. Skosk mate no matter what happens you and me stick together okay. The stuff she could pull out, it is just better for us to stick close especially if she brought like minded friends with her." He would then look around for her or her ship. They couldn't be far off.

They hadn't been forced to wait too long. Just long enough for Scherezade to start tapping her foot. She risked casting glances at Gerwald every so often as she dared in that situation, keeping herself few feet apart from as she did with anyone else who was in their group. Weird things were weird, but now was not the time to start a conversation regarding rules and boundaries, despite the fact that they should have probably had that conversation much before.

The few Witches that had left to check the truth of her words returned. They did not seem pleased. That could only mean one thing, but the young Sithling was ready for anything in case her interpretation was incorrect.

"You are granted passage," said the one who had been speaking earlier. The displeasure could easily be tasted in her voice, and Scherezade took the full liberty in enjoying it, "you may travel to the territory of Spider Clan and the relevant areas required to get there. Any other Clan territory is off limits. The cookies will be ready upon your return."

Scherezade flashed everyone around a wide proud grin.

Of course, the information stored in her head was the one imprinted on her by her grandmother. The map of Dathomir that was there did not include a new clan that had popped in the centuries during which the deWinters had mostly remained in stasis - Clan Shardrock, and the treacherous path that lay on the way towards Spider Clan. But they were all going to find out soon enough.

Scherezade led the way, going by the landmarks given to her by her grandmother. Soon enough they were away from where they had landed, going through the narrow pass.

"I have no memory of this part," she admitted after a long silence, avoiding falling on a slidy rock just at the last second, "but whatever. I'm sure we'll get there soon enough."
