Adventure into the Unknown (Open To All Jedi)

While most of the other might have missed it, Nala caught the quick exchange between @[member="Ella Nova"] and @Meta. The mask could his his face but not his emotions, and though brief Nala could sense what they felt towards Ella. She smirked before turning her attention back to @Phylis Alince and her explanation of what would be going on once they were planet-side. Still, as interesting as it was, Nala was starting to feel a little bit like just a pilot given how little she knew about the entire ordeal they'd be facing. A part of her almost hoped they'd run into something to fight.

Je'daii listened to the jedi master and gave a nod of her head in understanding whilechecking her equipment. She had everythign needed and that might be needed for them to properly excavate. Then she noticed a few of the others but paid little mind it was quite a strange sight to behold while she brushed herself off. "We will do quite good master and make sure everything is good and taken in time."

Meta caught Nala's grin, through the slits of his helmet. However his attention once again refocused and returned to the task at hand. He unfolded his arms and put his hands together behind his back. Tilting his head forward a little.

Phylis looked peevishly at the two Padawans who were talking and doing whatever it was they did. "Good, good. Now, Meta, Ella, I am sure whatever you are discussing is fascinating, but can it wait?" she asked. The problem was she had about the Carn Dista/Vrook Lamar factor of a piece of string when things weren't serious. So rather than coming out as stern, it came out as mildly asking.

"Well, if there's nothing else, be about your business. We shall arrive very soon, I feel!"

Aika Kawakami

Can one find true light when shadowed in darkness?
Aika couldn't do much but watch the others, literally twiddling her thumbs as they did. In her head, she was running over things she'd read within the archives. It was simply a task to keep her mind busy, and it seemed to be working. She had no idea what was being talked about between Meta and Ella, which was a good thing. The last thing she wanted was to be inadvertently diving into the heads of her fellow Jedi, and especially not the mind of Master Alince. No doubt, she'd notice such a thing. Nonetheless, she simply sighed as she awaited the landing, and a chance to understand a piece of history a bit more.

From the far end of the briefing room stood Darc; arms crossed. Though it was not natural for him to join such expeditions, he found this one to be particularly worth taking the time for. As the gathering began to dissolve, the ancient pushed himself off the corner he stood and disappeared through the side door closest to him. The arrival was imminent. Preparations were necessary he thought.

The enthusiastic master was very high on positive energy, a trait not many Jedi masters shared. Donatos wondered if her actual Padawans ended up taking on her traits too. Her eager demeanor was nice, but also hinged a bit on over bearing it too much. Beside Donatos were two other younger Jedi, the male human? humanoid? Meta and the female Corellia girl named Ella Nova. Donatos had been around humans long enough to notice when a mating ritual was enacted, apparently it was the female who initiated it...she must be an alpha. The Mon Cal student found it slightly humerus, that humans are awkward about romantic feelings or even lustful ones, to Donatos when the right female came along he would simply introduce himself, his status and why he would be desirable and why he finds his prospective mate desirable. If both came to a mutual satisfaction then bonding would occur, followed by a ceremony with all their friends and family and then they would reproduce and watch their family, their successors continue to grow.

The over dramatic worries of human coupling was simply ridiculous. The goal for either gender is quite clear, either to find a sexual partner and or suitable spouse to raise children together. The way humans approach it could be compared to well a human walking on a straight path, but gives in to unfounded fears and emotions that contradict their goal of finding love and end up flailing on and off the path. Donatos turned his head to the side, noticing Meta whose bodily language suggested he was indeed following the typical routine of young human males uncertain about mating practices, perhaps he did not have any experience? Either way the Mon Calamari felt it would be a nice gesture for him to ease the young Meta's uneasiness by whispering lightheartedly, "I suggest you keep your lightsaber tucked in your robes, Meta. We are here to bring back artifacts, not human infants." He croaked a light chuckle.

Ella nodded her head and bowed it to Master Alince, apologizing. "Sorry master." Then she continued to listen to the briefing, obvlious to the fact that everyone in the room through something was going on between her and Meta. She hadn't tried to initiate anything, it was just the way she was, cheeky and vibrant. It was a trait found among the Humans that hailed from Corellia and like all Corellians, Ella was no different. She was simply being friendly to a fellow Padawan who was just having a rough time.

Meta nudged @[member="Donatos"]. "Keep your childish comments to yourself." He whispered, not enjoying the Calamari's teasing. He shook his head, someone grins and winks and now its gossip? This was embarrassing for himself and obviously the generation of jedi he was surrounded by. Meta remained quiet, keeping an eye on the multiple people who had reacted to Ella's wink.

@Meta
Donatos continued his croaking chuckle even when Meta nudged him, this confirmed it, the young human lacked experience. "Heh heh, I will keep my comments to my self almost as close as you holster that blade to yourself, heh heh.". Donatos was referring to the Sith weapon, Meta held in his possession, strange the Order would permit him to carry it. There did not seem to be any logical exception for Meta to keep his 'gift' something of that value and residing of the Dark Side of the Force should have been confiscated and sealed in the Temple Archives. If that meant Meta could carry a Sith artifact, then what possible reason was there to deny this group of students from keeping their Jedi artifacts should they discover any.

Double meanings aside, they soon came in to land on Perugia. The planet itself was hot and tropical. Brightly coloured insects buzzed and flitted past. Dense jungle grew close to the landing pad.
The pad itself was new, set in a wide area of clear felled jungle. A large, impressive ruin was before them. Remains of creepers and other debris showed that the jungle had once covered it completely.

"Now, take care not to wander off. The native animals are not aggressive, but still no need to antagonise them. Now, we're all here? Hmm, good. Now, let's get unloaded and set these shelters up. We'll have time for some work before the sun goes down."

Nala helped to land the ship on Perugia before setting up all necessary defenses in case of anything. With that all finished she went to the back to help unload everything, carrying a few boxes with her arms and two more with the force. As she exited she gave a low whistle at the ruins in front of them. "Looks even better in real life." she said to herself before walking over to help @[member="Ella Nova"] with setting things up. She glanced back to where @Meta was before asking her "So what was that back on the ship between you two?" a small smile across her face growing.

Ella squatted her knees before placing her hands under one of the crates and carrying it to where the expedition would be setting up camp. She rose up as Nala asked her question. Ella frowned before replying. "Meta is going through a rough time and we've become friends. Nothings going on between except friendship." Still confused, she asked, "Why? What did it come across as?"

Meta was carrying several crates with him also. Ignoring the comments from Nala or the calamari. He just grumbled to himself as he set the crates down beside their apparent camp site. The area did seem beautiful, however Meta was focussed on other things. He detached his cloak and folded it under his arm. Now he just looked like a very tall man in armour with a glaive and lightsaber on his belt. Meta sighed and turned his head to Nala and Ella, even if he didn't want to. With his augments, he could hear what they were saying. He bit his tongue, this way their conversation. It had nothing to do with him.

The ship had landed on Pur-Goria, it was an interesting name for a planet, almost contradictory. In Mon Calamarian the word Purga was associated with the translation Purgatory, but this planet seems to be filled with nothing but growing lush life. The sun was bright and there didnt seem to be many clouds in the sky, it reminded him of a data journal he read when he was a child, it described the open skies of Mon Cala just as blue and vast as it's oceans.

The rest of the students were disembarking from the vessel, Donatos did a quick stretch of his arms reaching above his head. Fresh air felt wonderful for one who spent most of their life in re filtered oxygen. The young Mon Cal walked back to the loading ramp of the ship, his companions held crates in their arms which Donatos found unusual since they were at higher levels of training then he was, He lifted a single crate with the Force, his hand was stiff as if he was holding a salute as he walked down from the ship's entrance.

He tagged along with Nala Tu and Ella, he caught fractions of their conversation, discussing how Ella may have unintentionally caused Meta to become provocative. Alpha female or not she should make her intentions clear with potential mates, confusing them is unnecessary and a waste of time for both genders. Not wanting to bring about the obvious publicly, Donatos instead brought up a different topic, about the lifting of crates. He glanced over and saw Meta was not too far away already settling down three crates he carried under his arms.

"Ladies, why do you carry the crates like that? I know this may seem recessive to you, but at the Temple I was told such chores as this were moments of great importance for Force training. It may take a little bit longer, but the use of exercising one's control can never be accomplished finality. Hrmmm" The Mon Calamari paused in thought, continuing his walk with the single crate floating beside his saluted hand. He took a good look around their tropical environment before saying,

"Yes, this jungle is much like our ability to use the Force. We could spend a life time walking and studying this entire place, but in that time we spend doing so, parts of the jungle die and grow, before and after we discovered certain parts. Like the Force, we could study and do almost every ability associated with it, but we also risk the potential of losing our earliest learning foundations. Such as lifting crates I suppose." Donatos croaked a laugh at his attempt of understanding the philosophies of the Force.

Aika Kawakami

Can one find true light when shadowed in darkness?
Aika simply looked about at the others. It wasn't that she didn't want to help set things up, but more like she wasn't sure where to put her efforts. Her eyes seemed to dance back and forth between all who had come on this little expedition. Her eyes widened as she finally gained sight of the ruins. "Ah....wow. Talk about incredible." She simply stood there for a few moments in awe, lingering in her own little world. Somehow, she snapped back to reality, moving back towards the ship to grab a box to carry. Even if she wasn't strong physically, that didn't mean she couldn't do all she could to help. She would simply follow behind the others, scanning the area as their adventure began.

Or maybe experience would be a better word? Who knows? Aika was still zoning out, anyway.

Phylis breezed past with a collection of crates hovering obediently in front of her.

“Well done that Mon Cal, use the Force!” she said heartily, then continued on towards their temporary camp.

She was far too oblivious of the budding ‘relationship’, or whatever it was, to comment. However, she did note that Ella and Aika mysteriously looked very similar. Indeed, they could almost be the image of the same woman! It made telling them apart slightly confusing.

Regardless, they were soon encamped and settling in. Aware that her party had dwindled somewhat, with people on the ship vanishing into the ether, it was important to protect those who remained.

“So, gather around, Jedi, and we’ll get started!”

Donatos gave a nod to Master Phylis, his rigid salute swayed around his head before resting at his side, the smooth motion controlled the crate he was carrying through the Force, bringing it gently to the ground. The Mon Cal took a seat on top of it, the box had no warning of fragile markings and he took that as a sign as a free chair. Donatos saw Nala and Ella come about to listen to their shared Master for the duration of the ship, however the Mon Cal did a double take at Ella. He could of sworn he saw her on the other side of the camp site...maybe she has a sibling? Or maybe human females, especially of Corellia just looked the same to the eyes of a Mon Calamarian.

Aika Kawakami

As they reached they what would be there temporary camp, she set the box down in front of her feet. Her arms extended upward as she reached for the sky, stretching her arms out. Suddenly, she regretted carrying such a heavy box on the walk. She had the ability to life it mentally. Why didn't she just use it? Ah! She could be so infuriating to herself sometimes. Nonetheless, leaving the box where it was, Aika stepped forward stopping just a few steps away from Phylis. "Ah.. So glad we finally reached....where ever this is. I thought my arms would fall off for a moment there.."

@[member="Phylis Alince"]

@[member="Aika Kawakami"]

"Hmm, yes, having your arms fall off is not a good thing," Phylis commented. She looked at the Jedi Knight. "Ella? No, Aika! Good, good. Right, let's see what's in the box."

Inside the box was, oddly, a collection of old datapads and other equipment. "Oh...well, probably didn't need to bring this. Sorry," she said, giving Aika an apologetic smile.
