A Familial Eve (ME/NR)

Yasha Cadera said:
"My beautiful c'yare. Are you ready Fo--ooh!" Yasha deked to the side as Reyn came flying down the hall, launching at his sister Adara. One always had to be on their toes in the Cadera house. Another proximity chime had Yasha turning around. The moment Adenn Kyramud arrived, a cantankerous sound peppered the stairs. Aditya, in a soft purple dress floating around her knees, slid to the door.
Caz accepted the kiss and was about to answer her beautiful wife when they were excitedly interrupted by Reyn in a dead run toward his sister. Chaos had enshrouded the women as everyone was arriving. Caz smiled and took Yasha's hand. There would be time later for her and her wife to catch up, for now they would welcome their family and enjoy the energy that was around them. Caz knew that Yasha missed Kaine as much as she did, but the wives made the best of the situation until he was back with them. Family would be a great distraction for sure.

(posting pre caffeine.... was supposed to be Caz Australis account)

“A pleasure! It’s finally nice to meet someone my size. My family is basically monsters.” Adara said, a few inches shorter than [member="Nicole Sarah Feanor"]. “

“My GOOSES!” Adara shrieked, as Ram’ika ran straight into her as fast as his legs could take him. They landed with an audible ‘oof!’, skidding to the floor. “Raaam! You Nexu, wait!? Where’s my Nexu?! Buir! Buir… Mama [member="Caz Australis"], have you seen my Felicie? My Nexu!?”

Only Adara could want the connection with a gigantic killer feline in the middle of a family party with toddlers.

“Ooooooooooooooo Beth brought a boyfriend!? Wait… Aahh… did Grandma bring a boyfriend, too?” Adara quirked her lips to the side, and blinked between [member="Cleru"] & [member="Adenn Kyramud"], before sidling closer to [member="Caz Australis"] and [member="Darlyn Excron"]. “Ummmm… can I stay over here with you? Where it’s safe?”

“LORI!!!” Adara and Reyn swerved around at the sight of [member="Loreena Arenais"], looked at each other, then swooped to give their cousin a hug.

“Doesn’t Ba’vodu look smashing in his suit, Lori?! When did you arrive!? Oh you simply must tell me! You must! I’ll die if you don’t.” Adara flailed, having waited until Lori and Darlyn finished their talk of Commenor, government changes, and Captaining ships. Adara stepped aside from Morgan, as the girl toddled around, patting her head, before giving a silent wave to [member="Alexandra Feanor"] & [member="Noah Corek"]. If she finished her schoolwork early, maybe she could get a release from boarding school near Alderaan to visit them soon.

“I would love to answer your question, Nicole. Welcome to the party.” Yasha moved aside, so [member="Nicole Sarah Feanor"] had the chance to slip inside, contented that the younger girl had someone nearer in age to talk to, when Adara walked in.

Eventually, Yasha would make her way to [member="Noah Corek"] and [member="Alexandra Feanor"], and their twins, but for now Yasha was glad to take [member="Caz Australis"]’ hand and watch Magnus & Girak rush to play with the Feanor-Corek twins. Morgan was so cute.

Yasha got the feeling she was going to pay for her quip to [member="Darlyn Excron"] later, and could only let her smirk grow as more people came to fill her house.

“Good! Then I have no intention to eviscerate you.” That bit of parenting done, Yasha stood proudly… until she saw the horror on [member="Beth Cadera"] ’s face. “What… did I share too much again? Was I supposed to only connote the threat of bodily harm? Oh, and I second the protection thing… What? He said it!”

Yasha pointed to [member="Adenn Kyramud"]. Where had she put her stim caf? Holding [member="Caz Australis"]’ hand, Yasha searched the surfaces for her mug, licking dry lips, which longed for her caffeinated tipple.

“C’yare, have you seen my stim caf?”

“And aren’t you going to warn me, Yash?” [member="Aditya Fitz Kierke"] ’s eyes narrowed. Beth and her man got a special warning, where was hers!? Kids these days, they didn’t know how to handle a potential… whatever Adenn was. Flirt? Potential Flirt.

“Mother! If you lucked out and got knocked up the entire population of Iego would join in a rapturous chorale symphony, which would end all wars and cure depression in everyone but you.” Yasha motioned to Adenn with a crisp, “Go ahead. Be foolish and young before your pension kicks in. We both know it’s an empty threat.”

“I raised you with more class... but that was decent lip, so I cannot complain.” Aditya scrunched her nose and pouted her lips, taking Adenn’s arm and shaking her head.

“Gurlanins raised me!” Yasha grunted, as Aditya rushed off. “You left your child with shapeshifting man-eating Death Watch worshipping wolves! Did you see Lori sneaking around, love? Um, I swear I saw… Reyn! No full impact tackles indoors!” There Reyn went, tackling his sister. Then off they both went to tackle…

“Lori! There you are! How are you, squirt!?” Yasha continued holding Caz’s hand, as she trotted over to [member="Loreena Arenais"] and went to wrap Lori in a one-armed hug… only to be stopped by her own children and their potential Arenais dog pile. “Lori, I need to talk to you later, okay? Catch me.”

Now… where was her stim caf?

What're you gonna do? Kill me?
Aditya leaned against the wall and breathed, glad to be away from the hubbub… not that she would ever say. In this private space, an unexpected softness came, as she gazed up at [member="Adenn Kyramud"] ’s helmet-clad head.

“I aspire to earn that privilege… someday.” An ease to her voice, as if the world somehow became more comfortable. “I’m… going slightly crazy. Yash rescued our family from Panatha, and it feels strange to have everyone in the same place… bizarre, like the pieces of my life are connecting again and… I… I think I’m nearly finished plans for a cold-appropriate repulsor pack! And potentially a new kind of pharmaceutical super-bacta… can we… walk a little?”

Her mouth worked, in tandem with her eyes casting to the ground. “It’s silly, but… house is full of people I was too dead to know, and now I’m trying to catch up and making more of a mess and… kinda hard to be around a ton of people, when you’ve had nobody but the ghost of your dead son as company for twenty years… and hey! Maybe I’ll earn that peek under the beskar. I don't know... I'm... good? Terrible at small talk unless it has to do with the configuration of chemical explosives? Lame at trying to make a joke?”

Beth’s mind was mostly focused on one person, to be honest, during this whole exchange. When she heard [member="Aditya Fitz Kierke"] fairly rude comment, she had practically acted like Ram to his sister. But, either way, it was just important. Partially because she was introducing someone she was growing to care deeply about to her family, one of the most important aspects of her life.

But, she had not prepared for the kiss that Cleru planted on her right in front of everyone and her grandmother. Literally. Her eyes were wide as her cheeks turned a deep color. Well… She couldn’t exactly complain. They didn’t get to see each other much but… Her heart all sinky after missing him so long, her attention somewhat dispersing about the room. “It’s good to see you, too. I missed you.

But her joy turned to a scowl at [member="Adenn Kyramud"], the man who clearly wanted to hop under the sheets with her grandmother. But also, her horrified expression turned to [member="Yasha Cadera"]. She tsked, “I am responsible,” she muttered after a few seconds her ears pulled back. “Adara! C’mere and give your sister a hug!” She said as she went over and hugged her. “And yeah, I did bring my boyfriend. I dunno what is going on between Grandma and Adenn but there is something.” She gave a happy, large grin as she glanced to Cleru. “Cleru, Adara. Adara, Cleru,” she said with a nod as she went back over to Cleru, placing her hand in his.

Oh, hey Lori!” She said as she waved with her free hand to [member="Loreena Arenais"]. “It’s good to see you, it’s been too long,” she said with a smile. The girl probably wasn’t the happiest, considering what was going on. But, Lori seemed happy as she spoke with [member="Darlyn Excron"] at least.

The kitchen is less crowded,” she whispered to Cleru. Really, there was too much going on for her to keep up.

Mandalorian Prophet

Guest
Cleru just blinked in bewilderment at the amount of conversations all happening simultaneously throughout the large number of people here. How were the able to do that? He gave a nervous smile, not because he was nervous around the people here (at least not with [member="Beth Cadera"] 's hand in his own) but because he immediately got lost in the conversations and just nodded his head as if he understood.

He gave a simple nod to Beth as she whispered about the less crowded room. The kitchen no less. He at least knew that room well enough to not get lost. "That might uh.. Be a good idea."

[SIZE=10.5pt]As the little girl, [member="Adara Raxis"], spoke that Beth broke her "boyfriend," Adenn found it amusing; that was until she said the same about [member="Aditya Fitz Kierke"] and he. A light frown crossed his face, one that, for Adenn at least, was thankfully hidden behind his helmet. Then he realized that she was but a child, and didn't know anything about such matters, and Adenn let the frown leave his face. Then it turned into a wry grin, perhaps something would come of this. However weird it may look, be, sound or whatever, something could happen.[/SIZE]

Adenn then turned to focus on the Mand'alor. So, her threat didn't seem all that real. That was good, he may have been insane, but he still needed blood to pull of insane plans. So he let the Mand'alor know that.
"I do need my blood for my insane stunts. Which, mind you, usually work. And when they don't, medics heal me well." Adenn chuckled then before focusing on Beth.

She didn't seem amused by his comment, which caused Adenns grin to grow. He overheard what she muttered to herself, but decided not to comment on it. He then turned his head towards Cleru and noticed his lost look. Now his grin wasn't just a normal grin, no, it was ear splitting. The Chiss seemed lost beyond any saving. Chuckling once more, Adenn decided to say something to the Chiss in Basic.
"Welcome to the place Cleru. I hope you aren't too lost." He thin tilted his head back slightly and laughed.

After that, he focused once more on the Mand'alor and Aditya. Aditya wanted a warning? Ruh roh, thought Adenn to himself. Either that was good for him, or bad. He didn't know yet, but he kind of wanted to find out. Then the conversation went downhill for Adenn. His eyes widened behind his helmet, Aditya and he had barely done much of anything together, and the Mand'alor was basically giving permission to go and knock her up now. It may have been worded differently, but that's what Adenn heard.
"Uh... Mand'alor?" He stared at her confused. "Are you.... are you being serious right now?" Adenn then looked between Aditya and the Mand'alor, very confused.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
However long later.

When Aditya leaned against the wall, Adenn decided to lean against the wall next to her. He heard her breath and knew the feeling. Whatever it was that had just happened, Adenn wasn't too sure if he wanted to repeat. Adenn noticed the softness in Aditya now, and felt himself relax as well. Thankfully they were away from the Mand'alor, and the rest of them. Then she spoke, and Adenn was lost in the words of it.

Nodding his head, Adenn smirked behind his helm. She wanted to earn the right to see his face. Chuckling to himself, Adenn thought of ways she could. Nothing bad, just ideas and adventures he'd been wanting to have. Adventures where a companion could be useful. He listened attentively to what she said next.
"Going crazy?" Adenn chuckled. "I think I'm already crazy." He looked at her then, and let out a light chuckle.. "I'd be interested to see what you're developing; and yes, we can walk a little. But I don't know where, I've never been here." Adenn snorted quietly to himself. "You'll have to lead the way, Aditya."

She kept talking then, and Adenn kept listening. He understood what she meant. These people, while biologically family, didn't know her, and vice versa. She need someone to bond to, and had apparently decided him. When she quieted down, Adenn moved to her and gave her a tight hug. Then he let go and took a step back, keeping an arm on her shoulder.
"It's not silly, not in the slightest. But let's not talk about the past, about could haves and what ifs. Let's talk about the now, and the future. You're not terrible at it, just out of the swing of things. So let's get you back into the swing."

Adenn laughed lightly then, brought his hand to her back, around the shoulder blades area. He then made to turn her towards the hall, and away from the rest of the family. Making a sweeping motion, Adenn chuckled again.
"I'll let you show me around." Looking to her then, he asked in a kind voice. "Shall we, Aditya?"

What're you gonna do? Kill me?
The child must die. Not legitimately, but Adara’d better learn to shut her mouth, before Grandma cometh to smacketh sense into her little Boarding School Princess-ness. Yeah, I thought it.

Sue me.

Who am I talking to?

“Good to see you, Blue. Have fun, but not too much!” It’s all I say, before [member="Adenn Kyramud"] and I are off, “Of course she’s not serious. Do you hear yourself? Frick’n child forgets I used to be something, once.”

Something beautiful. Something smart. Always sassy, that was me before life did some serious grinding of my pleasant edges. Leaning against the wall, I rub my palms along my arms out of warmth and dare-I-say comfort.

“Hah. Already crazy. Sounds like a Mando, alright. Eeh, I can lead you around. Probably best we avoid my mother and sister like the Gulag Plague.” I peek around corners, about to walk us round, when Adenn reaches to give me a hug I would never admit to needing like the dickens.

“I like swings… Adenn? … Thanks.” Lowering my head and shoving my grey hair behind my ears. NO. Bad Aditya. Do not admit the hand on my back feels pleasant. DO NOT. No. Bad. Bad, bad, bad.

But maybe a little bit good. I look up at his silly bucket, a softer expression than I think even Yasha’s seen.

“Yes, let’s. Out the side porch, there’s a path already laid out for the guest suites and bungalows. Mine’s built but not furnished… it’s… somewhere that way. Training ground got reinforced yesterday, should go see it.” On we go, drifting outside to the path between the buildings.

Ugh. My little sister Peggy is actually doing a good job. How humiliating.

Adenn noted how Aditya disliked what Adara said as well. He smirked at the thought, so she didn’t know what this was either. That let Adenn know he could use this to his advantage. Then she talks about how the Mand’alor isn’t being serious.
Hey, never make a threat you can’t keep. That’s one of my sayings, and if the Mand’alor makes a threat, I’m inclined to believe it will be true.” He chuckled somewhat mirthlessly then, thinking on when he’d made his threats come true. Then the second part of her sentence registered to him. “You’re still something, especially to me. Though what exactly, we shall discover that, shall we.” He chuckled then, patting her back in amusement.

Then she goes on talking and Adenn smiles once more. Yep, many Mandos Adenn knew were crazy, though in his personal opinion, he was the craziest out of them all. Avoid her mother and sister like the plague?! A sister he could’ve expected, but if Adenn had been drinking something then, he would’ve spit it out in shock. However, he didn’t have anything to drink then, so he managed to keep his calm, on the outside. Inside, Adenn was now concerned, this family thing kept getting weirder by the minute.

Then she goes on talking about what she likes; swings? Hm, Adenn hadn’t had much experience with swings in his life. Not very combat oriented in a combat life, seemed rather bland too. But for Aditya, Adenn would try it out, just to see what it was like.
If you want to swing, I’d be glad to join you.” He pauses as she thanks him, confused for a moment, but then realizing she may be thanking him for the hug. “Anytime Aditya, anytime. If you need to talk, I’m here.

And then she looks at him with such a soft expression on his face Adenn can’t but feel guilty. Here she was doing work to get a reaction out of him, and he still hadn’t even taken his helmet off for her. Mentally shrugging to himself, Adenn resolved to do that sometime soon, but only after something special happened. Then they’re off, drifting outside and along some path. She speaks about guests’ suites and bungalows, and Adenn starts thinking about what could be brought into her place.
Mind showing me your place?” He smirks behind his helmet, thinking on things. “Then we could go swinging, or training? Have some fun, anything you want really is fine with me. So long as it’s with you.” He pats her back again, then keeps his hand there as they walk along between buildings.

[member="Aditya Fitz Kierke"]

What're you gonna do? Kill me?
“Oh you’re sweet. You thought Yasha was making a threat she… no, Adenn. No, she was saying I couldn’t get laid if I tried.” [member="Adenn Kyramud"] really is a sweet bucket, once you get past the blaring insanity and penchant for looking like engine parts. It’s in my best mind to keep distant. Run away and hide in my experiments for a while, after all, I just…

I just heard him say something else that was saccharine as glucose molecules, and less likely to dash me for a while. I’m something.

Something of a nuisance most like. “We shall, shan’t we? Be careful, Mando. I might get you in a compromising position… back down, head and shoulders inside one of my experimental engines, while I ask you to check if it fires.”

A wry smile that doesn’t reach my face.

“Oooohhh I built the swings for the children, me, swinging at my time of life? Gosh, how ridiculous.” Almost as ridiculous as dancing with a stranger on a planet full of freed slaves. “I’ve done plenty of that, gabbing off like you’re some kind of old friend. You on the other hand are silent as a grave. I know nothing about you but your name, and your Clan, and the fact you’re balmy in the brainstem.”

The path between the houses was laid yesterday, duracrete grids with sections for grass and moss to grow through. Everything in this compound was built with Yasha’s aesthetic in mind, her love of ecology and horticulture. Seems almost a shame this is all the green-thumbing she gets, a once-in-a-blue trip to her own house. Don’t quite know what would happen, but I nod and walk quietly on through the sounds of construction, droids lifting and building to Peggy’s exacting plan. I think I can hear her nattering on in Epicant in the distance, too far away to be caught up by her now.

“My place… it’s a right mess. All I’ve got is… well, you’ll see.” I take his crushgaunt clad hand in mine, walking through the paths to a smaller house with what appears to be broken down construction droids littering the uncompleted garden area. A biometric lock accepts my scan, then the reclaimed wood covered metal door pops from its’ moorings and slides to the side. “Don’t mind the mess, eh? And wipe your feet! I’ve got delicate experiments going on I don’t want gummed up by stray dust particulates.”

Inside my house, the main room is furnished by nothing but three long table tops hovering on repulsor tech I stole from the construction droids. Each table cascading with experiments on explosives, a new theoretical engine, an entire table dedicated to lenses and scopes.

“None of the furniture’s come in, yet. Ain’t no food in the kitchen either. Not yet. I pace my place, the fair sized living area drifting into an open kitchen in the corner. There’s a peek of a refresher, and two doors further back. “Supposed to have an office, but it’s still… oh!”

My feet stop at the corner of two tables. There, on the floor, two blankets and a pillow are stuffed underneath. Maybe I should feel more humiliated by the fact I’ve been sleeping in a corner under a pile of engine parts, but the fact is I don’t sleep.

“Sorry! Sorry, frickin’ mess in here! Gosh… just a… gimme a… one second!” Not yet. Prazutis said something like it would happen, my body trying to catch up. Diving for the blankets and pillow, I gather them up and trot to the bedroom, throwing them in and shutting the door with a clang.

“The… ah… oh my. The training area is… is that way and the swing set’s near it, you know, so the kids could see the adults and the switch of it. But this is it! Gonna be mine, all for… all for me. M’vornskyr died, so it’s just… it’s a good size for me. Got a little garage out back, gonna build a speeder or two. Some prototypes. I’d offer you a chair, but there isn’t one yet. But! But…” I raise a hand, and start digging into one of the tables of half-baked engineering gadgets. “… where is that condenser… hooohohohooold on… yeah, ain’t lost a thing… that there, and the soldering pen and… just another second!”

My drill whirrs, parts move, and the blanket I dropped on my way to tidy up ends up being useful. I set the device on the floor, tap a couple of buttons, click it into the power source, and give it one swift kick…

… it thrums to life, and I throw a blanket over what appears to be nothing. The blanket ‘floats’, sturdy enough for a person or two.

“Ta daaaaa.” I grin and motion to the blanket. “Chair… it’s… it’s a repulsor chair. Try it! Go on, I… I made it.”

Darlyn didn't recognize a lot of faces, but he knew who [member="Adara Raxis"] was by reputation alone. HE almost reached out to touch her shoulder, before remembering that might upset any number of her very protective family members, who wouldn't recognize that Darlyn was as trustworthy as a darksider could be, most days. Instead he just admired what seemed to be a sweet personality wrapped in the Darkside, as he could simply feel it wrapping her like a coat.

"Well, I can say I'm proud of how you're doing Lass. Just try to remember those of us who don't get to so freely travel these days. By the Force what I'd give to get to captain a ship and not be stuck with even more paperwork than before. I swear this promotion is just evidence I'm meant to suffer in this life." He chuckled a bit and reached towards his inner coat pocket, before stopping when [member="Yasha Cadera"] approached. Best.. not to drink in front of her children, while also not already on his two feet to begin with.

"And as for you Vabi'r, little Lass, I don't think we've really gotten a chance to talk much, ever frankly. So it seems you have me at quite a disadvantage, perhaps you'd like to talk a bit once you're done making sure Lori's spilled all her tea eh?" [member="Loreena Arenais"] had much to tell the young Adara it seemed, and Darlyn was happy to watch it unfold for now. He gave Reyn a similar smile that he gave the others, it seemed he barely met or knew his family here. So many young..

You couldn’t get laid if you try? I disagree whole heartedly with that. I certainly wouldn’t pass the opportunity up to be with a beauty such as yourself.” Adenn smirked slightly then, thinking mischievous thoughts. “Care to prove her wrong?” He stayed silent after that for a solid 5 seconds before bursting out laughing. He knew it wasn’t that funny, but had also just noticed her face after he’d said she was something. Together they were rather funny for him. “Oh darlin, don’t look so glum.” Adenn patted her back again. “I’m kidding about you just being something.

He took a step closer to her, placing his hand on her shoulder, looking down at her with his head tilted.
You’re a good kind of special to me.” He patted her shoulder then, squeezing lightly. “And I’m serious about the first part I said.” He winked, but with a head tilt.

So, she wanted his help in working on some experiment or another. Adenn nodded his head, he liked a good experiment or two. Then she speaks about the swings and how ridiculous it’d be for her.
A young woman such as yourself wouldn’t be ridiculous on swings. I’d be the more ridiculous of the pair, in full armor and all that.” Adenn chuckled then, poking Adityas side in amusement. “Oh, I’m the silent strong type. But if you want to know more about me, all you have to do is ask.

As they walk, Adenn can tell the place was only recently laid, but that someone with good aesthetical tastes had designed the place. It was beautiful, and Adenn fully appreciated the view. Of course, he wasn’t fully looking at the area, but also Aditya. He appreciated that view just as much. So, they were headed to her place. When Aditya took Adenns crushguant hand in her own, Adenn smiled behind his helmet. Squeezing lightly, Adenn looked at her in amusement.

As they walk, Adenn noted the broken construction droids and that they seemed to be missing items from within them. He could suspect who had done that, but would rather not say anything yet. Then they come to the door to her home, and Adenn dutifully wipes his feet on the mat there. He walks in after Aditya, still holding her hand, and looks around the place. It’s cluttered, but Adenn can see the potential. A table here, desk there, TV there and a couch right… there.

Shaking his head out of his thoughts, Adenn looks at the tables that are there. He notices how they’re hovering, no doubt from the droids outside. Then he follows Aditya as she keeps talking about stuff.
I can see the potential here, especially once the furniture gets here.” Adenn looks towards the kitchen, once it’s cleaned up it could be something great.

Then Aditya sees her bed, or at least 2 blankets and a pillow under a table. Adenn can’t help but tilt his head in amusement, didn’t look comfortable, but if there was no bed yet, perhaps it was comfortable enough. He should know, he’d slept enough on the hard ground during training and combat to see the appeal in having at least a pillow and blankets. Well, not so much blankets, his armor kept him warm enough.

No need to apologize, it’s your home.” But she still cleans it up, by throwing it into another room, presumably the bedroom. As Aditya does that, Adenn spins slowly in a circle, observing the place. It was certainly big enough for a person or two. Aditya then talks about the training area and the swings. She also talks about her plans for building stuff, causing Adenn to nod along again.

Then she talks about a chair, before she starts working on something. Adenn observes her and whatever it is she’s doing, he can’t quite see it, but his eyes weren’t fully on what she was working on. He was also observing Aditya, smiling slightly. Then she’s done, kicks some machine and throws a blanket on nothing. Adenn expected it to fall to the ground, instead it hovers in the air.

Widening his eyes slightly in surprise, Adenn can’t help but feel impressed. He certainly couldn’t do that, not even if he had a year to work. And she put it together really quickly. Nodding his head to himself, Adenn walked around the repulsor chair, looking it over. So, she wants him to sit on it. Honestly, so does Adenn, he wants to see how well it works. But first, Adenn feels like he owes Aditya something, especially for showing her so much of her life.

He keeps walking until he’s standing in front of her again. Adenn looks down at her, smiling slightly behind his helmet. Then he reaches forward, taking her hands in his own gauntleted hands.
Thank you, Aditya. You’ve shown me so much about your life, and you’re right, I haven’t shown you much of mine.” With that said, Adenn reached her hands up with his own to his helmet, one on either side of it. “I think it’s time I showed you my face. My most treasured secret, one that only a handful have seen. It’s time you joined that group, because you’re treasured to me.

With that said, Adenn used Adityas hands and his own to remove his helmet slowly. First it revealed his set jawline, finely chiseled and smooth. Next came his lips and cheeks, again, no hair, but defined and set. Next came his eyes and ears, piercing grey eyes looked down at Aditya, filled with something unidentifiable. After that came Adenns hair, it was cut somewhat short, not buzzcut style, but it also wasn’t a messy mop of hair like others had. Instead, it was well groomed and cut.

With that, Adenn brought his helmet infront of himself, still holding Adityas hands in his own, with the helmet between them. He smiled down at her, looking into her eyes, searching for what, only he knew. Then he detached the helmet from between their hands and put the helmet on a nearby table. He looked at the repulsor chair then, eyes glittering with curiosity as to how it worked, but not daring to ask just yet. Then he turned back to gaze at Aditya then, a slight smile on his face.
I’d like to try the chair… but with you.” He extended his hand then for her to take, before leading them to the chair. There he sat down in it, hoping to sit down with her. The entire time, he had a slight smile on his face, gazing at Aditya while taking in whatever her reaction would be.

What're you gonna do? Kill me?
“Adenn! You shouldn’t joke. It’s not polite.” I can’t help the laughter, as he dares Yasha to be wrong. I shake my head, giving him a glare. “Something else, right? A travesty! I know! I’m a royal nuisance.”

The waggle to my eyebrows quits, when [member="Adenn Kyramud"] puts his hand on my shoulder. Funny how fragile I feel, standing in front of a man in armour.

“Good kind... first time anyone’s used good and meant me in the same sentence... you’re a confusing son of a bantha, Alor Kyramud. Could you imagine her face?” Could I imagine his face? I assume he’s quirking an eyebrow, or some form of smiling under the bucket.

“Young! Oh yes, a woman with a 30 year old daughter is young enough for swings... then again this body’s brand new... and we do live what, 250 years? Huh. Guess mathematically speaking I am young enough for the swings. Even if my companion looks like a clunker in metal pants.” I’d pay to see Adenn on a swing, not that I’ll mention the going rate. Something about a warrior in rest, taking the time to unwind is sacred and it strikes me that even though I cannot see his face, his soul is right here, hoping to relax. Make a woman twitch.

“If I’m honest, I’ve been avoiding choosing furniture. Since Prazutis resurrected me, I don’t sleep... don’t really like closing my eyes, in case this is all some new form of Netherworldly joke.” It’s not that my house is cold, no. That’s not why I cross my arms over my chest. The idea of closing my eyes, of all this fading away... “Heh... it’s more... more possible than it sounds. There’s this place, gives you... your own personal ever worsening levels of Hell, until you give up and perish and... Gods Adenn. If you and all this weren’t real, I might as well walk into the light. Would be worth it, for... for a house with no furniture, a Mando on a swing, and a gaggle of family I’ve never met... where’re you from? Got any siblings? Favourite pets?”

Keep busy, Aditya... just keep busy. Don’t mind the way he holds your hand, or the change in tone. “Adenn... it’s alright, you’ve... you don’t...”

Gauntlets slide against my skin, as Adenn places my hands against his bucket.

“Adenn...” Why is there a lump in my throat, as his helmet pulls off a micron a second? “Treasured... you think me... treasured? Me?”

The helmet drifts off. I don’t see where, my eyes are busy memorizing a shatteringly handsome face. Dark hair, eyes the colour of the sky through a receding fog... skin which dared me to touch it. I slide a hand out of his, brushing the backs of my fingers along his cheek. “Warm... I’m honoured... and incredibly glad for the bucket. If everybody got to see you like this, you’d never have a moment’s peace.”

My heart might need a jump, it’s stopped clean in my chest. He takes my hand and even my voice dies. Huh. So someone has finally shut me up.

I sit on the repulser chair, slinking close to Adenn.

“Huh... guess I need to make an ottoman...”

"And if I'm not joking? What then...." Adenn pokes her then, smirking in amusement behind his helmet. Then she goes on about being a royal nuisance, and Adenn merely shakes his head. That's not even remotely true. She keeps talking then. "First time?" Adenn hms to himself, tilting his head in curiosity. "If you insist, then again. You shouldn't lie, it's not polite." Adenn laughed then, using her own line against her.

Aditya keeps talking, and Adenn listens. She does have a brand new body, and Adenn takes the time to admire it, looking her up and down appreciatively.
"Brand new body? Lucky me." He chuckles, looking her over again.

As they walk, she keeps talking with Adenn nodding his head at appropriate times. He notices that she crosses her arms over her chest. Assuming she's cold, Adenn removes the cloak from his left shoulder, and wraps it onto her, doing his best to use it to cover her upper body at least.
"I can't imagine, I've never been there. But hey, you're out now." She seems like she needs another hug, at least to Adenn. And so, he decides to hug her again. Drawing her close to himself, arms wrapped around her. Then he releases her again, keeping a hand across her shoulders.

"Me? Oh, I'm just from an Unknown Regions planet called Tracyn. Home world of Clan Mortui. Only child, thank Manda for that. Favorite pets?" Adenn thinks it over, he doesn't really have any. Well he does, but they're not really pets. "I don't know, I have 2 Krayt Dragons and another, dragon from Tracyn. I suppose one, or all of them, are my favorite pets. But then again, I don't know if people would consider those pets." Adenn can't help but chuckle, the thought seems absurd to him.

Then as he uses her hands to take his helmet off, Adenn smirks satisfiedly to himself as her breath catches.
"Yes Aditya, you're treasured. More than words can explain." He smiles down to her, helmet now off. As Adenn placed the helmet to the side, her hand goes to his face, and Adenn smiles again. He catches her hand in his hound, bringing it to his lips to kiss it again. The same way he'd done at the social meeting, but this time, with his actual lips and not his helmet. Smiling again at her comment, Adenn speaks again. "Then I suppose I'll keep it on, unless it's just you and I."

As they sit, Adenn smiles as Aditya slinks closer to him. Putting his arm over her shoulder, he made to draw her closer to himself, sighing contentedly. Certainly not what he had expected to happen, but very much appreciated. Stretching his legs out in front of himself, Adenn would bring her head closer to his shoulder before leaning his head against hers. Slowly rubbing her side with his still gauntlet-ed hand, Adenns smile widens.
"An ottomon would be nice. Or we could spread out on this." He raises an eyebrow to her then, non-verbally asking if she'd be fine with that. "Whatever works for you, works for me."

He leans his head against the top of her head then, smiling still. This was not at all what he expected to happen, but he'd appreciate every single moment of it.

What're you gonna do? Kill me?
“Pfft! Then you’re crazy. But I knew that already, after Nellogant, you living ice bridge grenade. Ow! Heeyy!” He poked me! [member="Adenn Kyramud"] poked me! And with a finger!

At least I hope that was his finger…

“Lucky you! Hah! You think you’re going to discover its’ mysteries you’ve got to do more than walk around with an upturned bucket on your head and a surly, but attractive attitude.” I’m not blushing! He’s blushing! Shut up! Oh Nussyn’s girdle, he’s putting his cloak on my shoulders. Why is he clothing me? Wait… I was shivering… bless you, Vanquo’s breezy weather systems! The cloak is excellent to hug into, and I am far too survivalist to ever turn down the comfort of a cloak. “I am… I’m glad to be.”

Finally I get some intel on the guy’s past. Perhaps I should have started with that, but when I was already four drinks down during the New Cradle Massage Incident, asking for his geneological tree didn’t seem the thing to do.

It occurs to me that he’s already been closer to my body than anyone in the universe at this point… and was a perfect, if insane, gentleman. And an unconscionable flirt… or so I think… kind of hard to know with the bucket. Maybe he’s just an unfortunate looking dweeb without a single clue?!

Ew! He could have… a moustache.

“Krayt dragons!? Most I ever had was a crystaline Vornskyr. Good boy… wrapped himself around me, when…” My eyes glaze. There’s a lake of grey ash coming toward me, and a tear in my side. My Vornskyr encircles me, licking my face as I fall to my knees. Eli’s kicking spastic… and for another second I see Yasha, my little girl as she was, being run out of the path of the volcanic ash by the stranger I never knew…

I don’t know his name, yet. The man who ran Yasha off Mandalore and saved her… I don’t know his name. And I’ve lost the breeze on Vanquo. Lost Adenn’s bucket, and the feeling of his cloak on my shoulders. My breath halts.

Then there’s nothing but Adenn’s eyes. Bright and keen eyes.

“Vocabulary is often redundant or incapable of conveying the appropriate terms…” No… not Science Brain! Stop Geeking out, you Nerd! The nerdisms stop, as his lips touch my hand. “Oooh and your lips are soft… Mmmfh.”

He pulls me closer, and I’m a woman on a floating blanket acting like a chair. A woman with her head on a strong shoulder, memories of ash and fading footsteps destroyed for the comfort of a friend.
I made a friend.

Wonders. They never cease this time ‘round.

“We… could. It should take our weight. Kind of the electronic equivalent of a water bed, if I’m honest… not that I lie. Lying doesn’t matter, you know? I’m babbling, am I babbling? I feel like I’m babbling… okay I need to shut up. Like now would be nice. ‘Cause you’re being all sweet and I want to just shut up and lay back and curl up with my nose near your jaw and I just said that out loud, and I don’t think I can stop talking ‘cause you open me up and see inside and that makes me nervous… good nervous, not bad nervous, and I’m still talking oh gods Aditya, shut up and enjoy this, good gravy…” Did I mention his hand has been grazing my side? I think I’m about to melt, even as I stretch out to lay down, curled into his arm.

He kissed her. [member="Cleru"] kissed Beth right in front of Yasha’s maternally minded face. A stroke of fierce protectiveness shunted through the Infernal, fists clenching before she reminded herself that Bethany was old enough to make her own decisions… as much as Yasha wanted to… to what?

She didn’t know. Times like this, Yasha wished Beth’s father was near. Kain’ik would know what to do with a child, who grew up. He’d parented before. But truth be Kaine hadn’t been around in some time. After Eshan and the birth of the twins… Yasha huffed a breath out of her nose. No. It would do no good thinking on the painful past. On how she shut herself into the business of rebuilding… vastly without him. Grounded. That’s what he’d been.

“You’d better be.” Yasha growled, piercing her gaze at her eldest daughter [member="Beth Cadera"].

“Caz? Babe, I swear I had a mug of stim-caf…” Yasha turned to [member="Caz Australis"]. Caz’ika would know what to do.

Beth squeezed [member="Cleru"]'s hand gently, encouragingly. It was probably worse for him, especially as literally everyone spoke a different language around him. Mando'a was not in his vocabulary, and that was okay. Beth didn't know Cheuhn, after all. Fair was was. Nonetheless, she gave him a bright smile.

He agreed that the kitchen would be a good place to go. Although, Beth saw the clenched fists and the general emotional swings Yasha went through at seeing Cleru kiss her. She gave her mom a smile, walking up beside her practically dragging Cleru with her. She hugged her with her free arm, "You'll love him, once you get to know him," she said softly, squeezing her. She gave a grin to [member="Caz Australis"].

With that in mind, she guided Cleru back to the kitchen where she slipped onto the counter. "How was the ride? Hope it wasn't too... Wild. And... Sorry for the late notice," she said with a nervous grin. "But... Thanks for coming. I'm really glad you were able to make it and meet this..." She motioned to the doors, "Family of mine. They're protective, but there is so much love here," she said as she took his hand again in hers, squeezing it.

Adenn chuckled again, he was indeed crazy, Nellogant only expanded on that. Those ice bridges had hurt, but he'd won against them, a fact that many might find astounding, and Adenn just shrugged it off as another fun mission. When she went "ow," Adenn smiled behind his helmet, patting her side. He hadn't poked her that hard, only a friendly poke.
"Oh, I don't think, I know. Mysteries make life fun, but also let me solve something. And I want to solve you, inside and out." Adenn laughed lightly then, patting her side once more.

He notices then how she's blushing, and Adenns smile grows. Noticing as well that she's not shivering, Adenn nods his head, his cloak had helped it seems. Squeezing her shoulder lightly then, they keep walking. Then she talks about her own pet, a Vornskyr, and keeps talking before freezing up. Adenn notices that her eyes glaze over, and recognizes that she's thinking about something unpleasant, no doubt her death.

Immediately Adenn steps towards her and engulfs her in another hug, this one longer. Then he takes a half step back, arms still around her, hugging her, looking down at her. Adenn then does the whole thing with taking his helmet off before looking to her again. His piercing eyes stare into her eyes, he may not know all the pain she's going through, but he can guess.

Smiling slightly to her, he speaks then, in a soft voice.
"No need to think dark thoughts, think of the present, and the future. The past is in the past, and one can only learn from it." At that, Adenn then runs a gauntleted hand across the side of her face, slightly on her cheek, and loops a stray strand of hair behind her ear. Adenn smiles again as she seems to come back, talking about vocabulary and whatnot. Nodding his heads, Adenn kisses her other hand then, holding them both before himself, the entire time gazing into her eyes.
"If my lips are soft there, where else could they be soft?" Adenn hms and quirks an eyebrow at her, as if to challenge her and to tease her, all in one.

Then they're on the floating blanket, and Adenn smiles as Aditya places her head on his shoulder. Life was good. When she says that the repulsor chair should be able to hold them, Adenn spreads out with her. He lays down with her, smiling as she talks. While Aditya babbles, Adenn keeps smiling that slight smile of his, not quite showing teeth, but definitely something recognizable as a smile.

Adenn keeps rubbing his hand up and down her side as she speaks, trying to sooth her. When she speaks of nuzzling her nose to his jaw, Adenn lets out a light chuckle. Stretching out some more, Adenn pulls Aditya to his side, reclining his head so that she can do as she wanted to do.
"It's ok Aditya, I'm here to listen as you talk. Whatever you want to discuss, let's discuss. All while enjoying this repulsor chair, which is even more comfortable with you here."

Adenn lays down that slight bit more, and now he's practically lying down on a bed that used to be a chair. The wonders of modern technology, made more wonderful by the one who made it. Speaking of that person, Adenn turned his gaze down to look at her, no doubt nuzzled into his side, with his arm wrapped around her shoulders. He keeps gently rubbing a hand on her side, smiling the entire time with pleasure.

Lori smiled as [member="Darlyn Excron"] seemed to be proud of her. And yes, she knew well enough of what it was like to be stuck some place. Her parents went through that too. "You'll find some crazy way to manage.
You always do. And with style! Maybe some doves too."

Oof!! Lori was pounced on by [member="Adara Raxis"] and Reyn. She laughed and hugged them both back. It was great to see them. Even more great was Adara giving off rapid fire questions much like she did when excited. "I got here about 10 minutes ago! Flew my training fighter to get here. I have it parked just outside. Do you wanna see it later? I was gonna pounce you, but then I saw Darlyn and decided to say hi. Next time I'll get ya though!" Her responses were just as quick as Adara's questions.

And then [member="Yasha Cadera"] happened by. Lori gave her a quick hug and nodded.
"Understood! I'll see you a bit later." Gosh there was so many people. Even [member="Beth Cadera"] came by. She got a wave too.
