A Familial Eve (ME/NR)

As [member="Aditya Fitz Kierke"] chuckles and brushes her hand against his cheek, Adenn turns his head into the hand, smiling at her. So, she wants a repeat performance? He leands in and gives her another kiss on the lips.
"I shall, again, and again, and again. As often as you'll let me." She strokes his arm, and Adenn can't help but smirk. He brings a hand up to her neck, gently brushing his fingers along the base.

Then she says she needs to change, and Adenn realizes that her dress and "vanished." Grinning sheepishly, he rubs the back of his neck. Then Aditya's up and off to her room. Laying back down with a self satisfied smirk, Adenn stretches himself out again. He sighs contentedly, and sits up slowly. Then she calls out and asks about blue or yellow, turning his head, Adenn sees that she's standing in the door holding two dresses. Looking at her, he doesn't even hesitate.
"Blue, definitely blue." He smiles up at her, and slowly stands up.

While Aditya is putting on her dress, Adenn puts his bodysuit back on. After that, he slowly starts putting his armor pieces back on. Aditya then talks about food, and Adenn realizes that he's hungry. His stomach does not growl loudly, not in the slightest. He's about to answer when someone slams on the door loudly, a person named Peggy. Looking between Aditya and the door in confusion, Adenn just shrugs to himself. Then he lets out a laugh when Aditya says she has a date. Him, a date. Wow, when was the last time he'd heard that.

Then theis Peggy keeps speaking, and realization dawns on Adenn. She had said she didn't know anyone here, this must've been something for her to get to know them. And then he hears that it's her birthday. Turning his gaze towards Aditya, Adenn lets out a chuckle, which turns into a laugh. He stops a few moments later, but still has a big grin on his face.
"Happy birthday Aditya. I do hope I gave you an acceptable birthday present. If not, I'm sure I could give you another one later, this one longer." He winks at her, an honest to God wink, all while grinning wryly.

She asks for her shoes then, and Adenn looks around for them. He knows she took them off sometime earlier, but where, oh where are they. Then he spots them, and they were not where he expected them to be. They had been flung away from the floating chair-bed thing, and towards one of the tables. Looking at Aditya, and then the shoes, he shakes his head in amusement. Then he walks over and picks them up before walking towards Aditya. There he looks at her, smiling gently. Taking a knee, he holds the shoes out for her to slip into.

Once that's done, he stands back up again and grabs his helmet from the nearby table. Smiling down to her, he speaks again.
"Well, now that we're presentable, shall we go out to see your family." He chuckles lightly then, wanting to see what she'd say. Then he pats her shoulder, squeezing gently.

Adenn looks her over again, smiling gently. Whenever she's ready, he'd walk with her towards the door. Then, before going out, he'd place his helmet back on his helmet. Becoming a "buckethead" once more, and a darn good one. Grinning behind his helmet, Adenn would reach forward and open the door for Aditya. Then he'd walk out with her, out into the light, and out towards her family. He was ready to receive whatever scorn they'd give him, and he wouldn't care about it. Life was good for him, and he wouldn't let anyone take that from him.

“No, Kaine. Your handlers should have mandated one. I can’t let you off the hook. Not yet... but you look... amazing, c’yare.” Yasha’s fist clenched. She shut her eyes and breathed. [member="Caz Australis"] swept in, her aura of calm (however insensible to her Epicanthix spouse), touched on her cheek.

“I’ll be fine, [member="Beth Cadera"] is a fantastic healer. Nothing hurt but my pride... yes, love... later. I’m... I’m tired.” The truth though, was a deeper thing. Yasha’s red rimmed eyes looked over at [member="Kaine Australis"]. At the kids cuddled round their Buir, infinite in their love and delighted by his. So he found a way around the embargo... for this.

“Bethany, he loves us, and you love him... thank Ba’vodu for the perfect advice... carry it through, then give your father a hug.” For his family. Yasha took Beth’s hand and tugged until their daughter could see Yasha’s face as she spoke.

“Yes, [member="Loreena Arenais"], you can take [member="Adara Raxis"] for a flight. Just... come back when it’s dark!” Yasha called out to her cousin, knowing at least Adara and Lori could have some fun.

“Oh, Darl-yeep!!” [member="Darlyn Excron"] did the near impossible. He picked up Yasha Cadera, and carried her like a child. So unused to such things, Yasha cinched her arms around his shoulders, and out of the nostalgic thrill, laid her head on his shoulder.

For a second, a brief minute, Yasha was a child again, and her uncle was the mighty and unwavering adult, who would sweep her away and take care of her woes. When was the last time someone swooped in, as a parental figure (even with the laughable age difference), to take Yasha’s problems from her?

Gray... it must have been [member="Gray Raxis"], when they returned from Dathomir and the Netherworld, and the Ash of Manda’yaim took Yasha by the hand, to hold her. He adopted her the next day, at her party. And here, another of the Raxis siblings was there to scoop her up and remind Yasha that even though she’d been forced into command by twelve, she was not alone.

She was also not without liquor, and took a healthy swig, before handing the flask back.

“I’m surprised you didn’t fall down. I... ah... I’m gifted in many ways, a thin figure isn’t one of them.” Set down on the couch, Yasha laughed and shook her head, before leaning it on his shoulder with a long sniffle.

“I’m not crying.” Yasha whimpered. She let out a sad chuckle, hugging her arm around Darlyn’s. “You... are so right. I... wouldn’t have known how to be a parent, if Kain’ik and Caz didn’t teach me. The rest... I work really really hard. Just wish... I mean... what did I do wrong? Why did Mama leave her party? And... I just... I’m so excited that my Panathan family is safe and alive and here, that I want them to know you... all of you. And... and... I really liked that mug!”

It was juvenile, to be an adult who cried, but cathartic at last. Yasha pushed her palm into her eye, wiping away a tear and keeping her head on Darlyn’s shoulder.

“It’s gonna be okay, right? It’s gonna work out?”

Noah Corek

Cocked, Locked and a Smoking Barrel
[member="Yasha Cadera"] - [member="Darlyn Excron"]

Eyes still scanning the crowed, and one could say awkward, kitchen and its host of occupants, Noah nodded when she mentioned the porch, his eyes following her finger as he slowly began to edge his way out of the kitchen and towards the porch, lest he attract attention. Once he was out of eyesight of the kitchen he made an almost dash towards the door, quickly opening it and stepping outside to let the air greet him. Noah was a odd man, by his own admission sometimes. He could defuse a bomb, break or set a bone, hit a target at over two kilometers, beat someone in a fistfight but awkward family situations? Eh leave him outta it.

As he took a lungful of the nice air he walked forward and sat himself down on the edge of the porch, legs dangling over the side like a child. Looking down towards his hands he withdrew one of his preferred brand of smokes, a filtered cigar called Talons, and popped it into his mouth. Looking down at his other hand he smiled at the battered and scratched Zippo lighter, he'd often joke that the lighter had seen as much combat as him, which wasn't entirely untrue. It had been a gift from his mother after graduating form Commando School. On one side was the insignia of the Galactic Republic Army Commandos but Noah had added onto the lighter.

Flipping it over he observed the Omega Pyre insignia he had branded onto it after his joining of said private security company. Shaking his head at the nostalgic thoughts he deftly flicked the light open with a flick of his wrist before using his thumb to ignite it. Bringing it up to his filtered cigar he lit it and took a deep inhale, letting the tobacco and nicotine flow through his buddy before letting out a deep exhale.

He heard Yasha and Darlyn long before he saw them, mostly because of noise being made by the weight of two people coming onto the porch. He raised an eyebrow when he saw Darlyn carrying Yasha but he shrugged. Standing eh walked over to the two, filtered cigar still perched in his mouth, and smiled. That smile soon turned into a frown when he saw Yasha crying. Crouching down he listened to her before speaking. "Your mother probably just got caught up in something. She'll be back any minute now Yash. As for the mug I'm sure we could find you one just as nice." Leaning forward he rested a hand on her shoulder and smiled. "Everything is gonna be a okay!"

Beth was pulled over in front of her mother, [member="Yasha Cadera"] by her hand. Beth scowled, unsure of how to react to her mother’s words. Did she want to deal with him, right now? Maybe some of this was just the frustration of her trying to bring [member="Cleru"] into her family. To include him, and then... This. Couldn’t this family act normal for one karking day? Things she would never do again? Bring her boyfriend over for the family gathering.

Now, Yasha was about to start crying because everything was a mess. Beth was about to start crying cause of her crappy, at least during his exiles and stuck in house arrest and everything else dad.

I’m not saying we don’t love each other,” she muttered so only Yasha could hear.

[member="Darlyn Excron"] mentioned punching him, repeatedly. A feat that most Mandalorians no doubt would prefer but the more gentle, kinder Beth tended to avoid conflict. Or, at least tried too. Although she did kind of want to get a few good punches. Maybe she could ask to borrow Yasha’s gauntlets…

The tension made her uncomfortable by itself, only amplifying her moodiness.

Beth listened to [member="Kaine Australis"] say his peace without interruption, however, despite the variety of emotions that filtered over and over inside her. She knew he regretted it. She knew he loved her. Beth knew all of these things and knew that Kaine would do anything for her if she asked. None of that changed the hurt she felt, though.

Darlyn removed Yasha from the room as she crossed her arms, watching her father reluctantly leave the kitchen. She groaned as she turned her back to the room as she placed her hands on the kitchen table with a sigh as she glanced to Cleru. “I’m sorry, I didn’t think it would be this much drama today,” she said quietly, hopeful that he wasn’t about to run as far away as he possibly could and never speak to Beth again. “I’ll be right back,” she said.

And with that, she forced herself at the entrance to the doorway to the room that Kaine went into. She leaned against it as she debated what to say, do. She wasn’t even sure what to think. Beth heard his mention of war and daughters and held back a small smile. She gave a small knock on the wall as she walked into the room. Her ears were hanging low, more showing the sadness now that the shock and anger had worn off.

She went in front of him and wrapped her arms around his neck, nuzzling her head into his shoulder. Like when she first found out she was her daughter. “I missed you,” she said quietly as she tried to stifle her crying, her voice breaking slightly. “I’m not ready,” she spoke softly, but honestly. She wasn’t ready to forgive him. She couldn’t yet say it was okay. She needed him, and he wasn’t there, and she couldn’t forgive that… Not yet

But she would be able to, eventually. She just needed to heal the wound and only time could provide the salve. “But I will be. I just need… Some time.” Ironic, wasn’t it? Time was everything they lost and here she was… Asking for time to get over it. “I love you, dad,” she said afterwards, giving him a tight squeeze.

Mandalorian Prophet

Guest
There were some majorly important bits the Chiss was missing as the conversations rang out around him. He didn't know the language. All he could do was go about how they carried themselves, the expressions they had. How they spoke, rather then the words they spoke. Still, it wasn't hard for him to see the tension between [member="Beth Cadera"] and [member="Kaine Australis"] . Was he.. Her dad? Friend? Cousin, uncle, something. It was hard to tell with how.. Open the rest of the family seemed to be with their relations.

It didn't scare him off. Nothing would scare him away from Beth, that much was clear. And when she approached him to apologize he simply shook his head. "No, Beth. There's nothing to be sorry about. You're okay though, right? That's all that matters is that you're okay." He gave her a reassuring smile, gently setting a hand on her cheek. "You just let me know if you need to leave. I'll take you anywhere you want, okay?"

Darlyn nodded lightly, letting Yasha cling to him while he waited for an opportunity to speak. Of course he let [member="Noah Corek"] go first, saying in few words what needed to be said. "Boy Scout's right. She seems the kind who's got one foot in the real world and one foot locked to a swoop bike. Too much for her at once. If I remember right I think you said once she was dead so, probably got that whole thing going if my memory isn't failing already. Not something you did at all, family tends to do just that anyways. Best to just let it out and rest a bit out here, she'll be back. Then I can come up with her new nickname once I get a good look at her."

He used his other arm to reach over and pat the top of Yasha's head. No doubt if it wasn't him, he'd now be breathing out of a straw. If he was lucky. "So yeah, it's gonna be alright. At least until I get into a fistfight with your mother, Kaine, you, are all of you at once because I'm drunk and stupid. Until then it's going to be just, fine. Okay Lass?" And he said in many words what could be said in a few. Curse his intent to find the humour and lift spirits, it made him try too hard.

[member="Noah Corek"] [member="Darlyn Excron"]

Sometimes it was hard to remember Yasha served the Vode more than half her life, and in that service she missed growing as Aruetiise girls did. She missed the grace given to Mandalorian daughters from their parents. Sucking back another sniffling cry, Yasha rubbed at her eyes with a napkin, unfolding the carefully folded square of paper to dab her eyes. Legs dangling over the porch, Noah rose to join them, and Yasha didn’t mind. Over his time in [member="Alexandra Feanor"]’s life, Yasha had gotten to know the once-exiled Mandalorian.

He was a friend. A solid presence.

“I... I don’t even know why the mug was such a big deal.” Another sniffle shook her shoulders, as she blew her nose in the napkin as Noah piped up, crouched beside her. “Heh. Hehe… Boy scout.”

Yasha mouthed the words ‘boy scout’ again, sniffling with a timid smile as she kept her arm around Darlyn’s bicep. Was it wrong to for a minute wish to be small?

“Knowing Mama, she’d have built the swoop bike out of foil and bits of old shoes, taken it for a spin then come back round to fix the transmission… I hope you come up with a good nickname. She deserves to be ribbed.”

If it had been anyone but her Uncle, who patted Yasha on the head, they likely would have been beaten with their own ripped-off arm. Yet, today was the day for it, and Darlyn’s presence helped. It always helped, even when he was flat on his back with her hand around his neck on Commenor. Oh for simpler times… wait… those times were never simple!

Oh for complicated times.

“Gosh, if you got into a fistfight with my Panathan family, they’d start cheering and placing bets… have you ever met any Panathans? You learn to fight, or the jungle eats you alive! Truth… much truth.” She found it in her to chuckle, despite the tears that kept falling unbidden from her amber eyes.

“Yes, you both are right. It is going to be just fine.”

What're you gonna do? Kill me?
“As often as all that?! Well then my sweet and sultry, we’ll never leave this house again.” I can’t help it. My grin breaks and I don’t care that Peggy is bashing at my door. Lips which barely finished our previous activity purse and catch [member="Adenn Kyramud"]’s. “Mmh! I’m a lucky woman. Snatch up a man like you.”

Peggy needs to mind her own business, if… oh. At least she stays on her side of the door.

“Oh gods oh gods oh gods... Peggy, Adenn. Adenn… my sister Peggy.” I rush back, as I see Adenn’s wink. It stops me dead. “Thank you, I’ll take you up on th-“

“Aw lawrds above, below and beyond. Dita! The party!” Peggy groaned, banging on the door.

“I know, Peggy! Thank you!” I slide into each shoe, setting my hand on his shoulder for balance. Adenn goes for his helmet, and I appreciate the way his hair moves, the skin of his cheek and lips. How his eyes sparkle when he looks at me. “Yes, I believe we shall. Maybe cake?”

The bucket takes his face, and somehow I see it as… exactly the same. It’s the same silly bucket it was earlier. Yet, maybe I’m visualizing his face ‘cause it’s a bit easier to see him. At least until we walk into the house, which seems more like it became a war zone, while we were gone. Seeing the somewhat touching reunion between [member="Kaine Australis"] and [member="Beth Cadera"], I stop at the border of the room. Father’s and their daughters... strikes me that Yasha missed all that. Didn’t she?

The Chiss boy [member="Cleru"] comes in to see Beth, pulling my… adopted granddaughter in. Guess I might as well accept that Yasha brought the girl into her tribe.

“Girls are complicated, honey punkin.” I drawl to Kaine, my handle on Mando’a almost shamefully driven by the Mando captain I’d had once in a ship I engineered for. “Don’t mean they don’t love ya to pieces, but it ain’t possible to leave things unsaid with a daughter... now where in the gorram whoosawheresits is mine?”

Whoever invented the Mando’a language must have had a chronic bought of chicken bone stuck in their throat. The gargles are intense. Rotten language… but I’ll speak it for Yasha and her… family. Odd thing, Mandalorian adoption rites and marriages. They’re so… easy to accomplish. So common. Yet, I suppose Yasha needed someone to cling to, and here they are.

“Maybe we should try the kitchen, Adenn? Get that Iego party started.” My grey hair falling a little in front of my eyes. “You gonna be okay, there… Kaine, is it? That’s your name, right? You’re the husband. Husband? Ridooor? What did Yasha screw up this time?”

“You mean it?! We can go flying!? Oh, please Lori, yes please ever so much!” Adara bounced on her heels, “We shall, shan’t we? It would be so much less obtrusive than if we… oh goodness!”

Her mother’s mug shattered, Reyn got a firm yelling at, and Yasha went off in a fury. Adara blinked, her eyes wide as she sloooowly turned to [member="Loreena Arenais"].

“Your ship… us… right now.” Nodding furiously, Adara took Lori’s hand in hers and attempted to flee to the safety of Lori’s fighter without the hullabaloo around them, when…

[member="Kaine Australis"] walked in the door!

“Baba? BABA!!! Oh Baba, you’re home!” Adara rushed Kaine, throwing her arms around his waist, and grinning up at him, her mismatched red and blue eyes a symbol of his own effect in her life. “Reyn was a nasty thing, he knocked me over! Now you’re going to let him have a gun training day? Baba.”

Adara shook her head, stepping back with her hands on her little childish hips. “If Reyn gets a reward for giving Buir more stim-caf, then I deserve a reward now for being good. Cousin Lori has invited me to fly in her fighter, and I would love, love, love the chance. Pleaaaase? You are always mentioning how I ought to spend more time with my cousin. Perhaps this is the moment, when in the presence of an amazing moment in the fighter, I shall finally discover the joy of the Light you love so much.”

She knew it was manipulative, Adara was aware. But if she were, as the middle child, going to get anything for herself, she needed to make use of every situation she came into contact with. After her mother called out an acceptance of the idea, Adara gave Kaine one more hug (and a kiss to his cheek), and scampered off with Lori.

“Hurry! Before someone changes their minds! Go! Go! Go!” She giggled all the way.

Beth sighed as she simply held onto [member="Kaine Australis"]. No, she just needed a moment with her father. Despite it all... Sometimes, there wasn't nothing like being a little kid again, crawled up in your parents lap. Tears, and small, quiet heaves as she tried to hold back any tears. She finally let go as she took a breath, using her hands to wipe her tears.

"Thank you," she said quietly with a weak smile. And... She laughed a little, with a sheepish grin. "I'll... Introduce you more formally, tonight," she whispered as she stepped back - right in time for [member="Adara Raxis"] to pounce on her father. Beth gave a smile as she watched their interaction, taking a deep breath herself and slowly slipping out back to where [member="Cleru"] was.

"I... Let's go for a walk? The forests are beautiful," she said quietly. She really just didn't want anyone overhearing what she had to say. She took his hand in hers as she looked into his red eyes, her own still red from the previous crying. "Just need a bit, to calm down and stuff," she said quietly as she sighed.

Adenn smiles and nods to her question, eyes sparkling mischievously, promising a repeat of earlier. And a promise, that if she doesn’t want to leave the house and instead only keep going, then he can make that happen. Suddenly, they’re kissing, and Adenn deepens it. He leans forward, hands around her back, with one going naughtily low and the other rubbing her lower back.
And I’m a lucky man, getting such a perfect woman such as yourself. Regardless of whether or not it’s possible, you’re living proof against that law.” Adenn grins then, eyes gazing over Aditya.

Then, Adenn is being introduced with Adityas sister, and through a door. He can’t help but chuckle, a unique way to be introduced. After that, Aditya says she’ll take him up on that offer, and Adenn smiles broadly, eyes twinkling with a promise of future pleasure. Then, Aditya’s sliding into the shoes Adenn is holding for her.

Once she’s finished sliding into them, Adenn looks up at her, smiling. With her hands still on his shoulders, Adenn slowly lets his hands trace from her feet up to her side. And in that moment, Adenn is thankful he hasn’t put his crushguants back on. That’s irrelevant though, as Adenn trails his hands from her feet to her knees, then up the sides of her thighs, over her hips, on her side and then he lets them rest beneath her arms.
"Hello beautiful." He pats her side in amusement, looking her over.

Smiling gently, Adenn goes in for another kiss, this one deep and long as well. Then he breaks it off with a slight tug on her lower lip, before he breaks it completely. Grinning in amusement, Adenn loops down into Adityas eyes, eyes filled with a promise of more, but later. Taking a slight step back, he brings her hand up to his lips and kisses it gently, eyes still on her.

And then she’s offering cake, and Adenn nods his head in acceptance. Chuckling lightly, Adenn then puts his crushguants back on and his helmet. Then they’re off towards the house, and Adenn gives a nod to Peggy as they pass. Soon enough they’re in the room, and it seems like they missed quite a bit of drama. Not that Adenn minds, glancing to Aditya, he smiles, he doesn’t mind at all.

Then Aditya stops, and Adenn peers into the room slightly, seeing Kaine and Beth. Nodding his head to the one he knows; he turns his head to the one he doesn’t and observes him. Letting his helmet run a scan on the man, Adenn realizes this must be Kaine Australis. He smiles slightly upon seeing how Cleru and Beth act, he can’t really judge now. Not after the past, how long was it again? Not long enough…. Instead he turns his head to Kaine.
Su cuy’gar vod.” Nodding his head to the man.

He’s standing slightly off center of Aditya, observing them as they speak, crossing his arms in front of his chest. His buy’ce is on, and he is completely impassive, not showing any emotion, not even within the Force. There, it’s a veritable fortress of will that won’t let anything past. Sealing off his inner thoughts and feelings to the outside world.

Turning his head back to Aditya as she speaks to him, he nods in agreement. Then he pauses, get the “Iego party started.” The Mand’alor had stated that Iego would host a party if she were “knocked up.” Looking over at Aditya, Adenn pondered what those words could imply. Did she know she was pregnant, or was she making a joke at his expense? He wouldn’t know, at least not yet.

Mentally shrugging to himself, Adenn returned his focus to Kaine as he spoke. Smirking to himself at Adityas pronunciation of riduur, he then turned his attention to where he had indicated. Outside, so that’s where the Mand’alor was. Turning his head back to Aditya, he tilted his head in a silent question. Where to next, and what would they do.

[member="Aditya Fitz Kierke"] [member="Kaine Australis"] [member="Beth Cadera"] [member="Cleru"]

Lori was so happy that [member="Adara Raxis"] was eager to go. And even more happy that she got permission. [member="Kaine Australis"] didn't really take any notice of her at all. But...she wasn't close like the others. Plus she owed him a lot of credits. That was probably what it was.

Pushing that all to the back of her mind, Lori slapped her usual grin on her face and ran through the house with Adara. They both weaved in and out among the many people there. Soon enough they were outside. "To the left! To the left!" She directed her cousin to the landing pad. There among much larger vessels sat the Grey Sparrow. It had room for two in the cockpit, one seat behind the other.

As they neared it, Lori slowed down and fished in her pocket for her clicker. She hit one of the buttons and the ship unlocked. A hiss of hydrolics and the canopy lifted. A ladder also lowered itself to the ground. "Do you want to ride in the front? And you don't get airsick, do you?"

What're you gonna do? Kill me?
“Mmmhmmhmmhmmmmmm you keep that up we’ll miss my party.” I press my hands against [member="Adenn Kyramud"]’s chest, leaning into the kiss. It’s not long before we’re back in the whirlwind of the main house.

“Feth. Calling me mother. Darlin’, you’re older than I am. Or I would’a been if I ain’t been dead so long.” I say in my Mando’a drawl. Dang spacer captains and their swarthy accents. Black and red eyes stare at this lost fellow, looking about as awkward as a teenaged wallflower at a rave. “Hhh. How different thing’d been if Papa’d gotten to Yasha before your lot, I suppose. Can’t control what you’re dead for. Kaden… he searched for a way back to ‘er… till his spirit disappeared. Best be watchin’ for ‘im. Way it happened, see? Someday he’s gonna skulk his nose around, and if you want Yash? You’re gonna have to fight to keep her.”

The flask in his hand accentuates my hunger, and I walk toward it. Hand curling round [member="Kaine Australis"]’s I don’t let him let go while I tip the flask back, contents down my throat. Full red irises shunt into his blue, this man who took my Yasha. The man whose former family were shades fading in the dark of the Nether, searching for their blessed Manda to succour their deaths.

“... Kaine? On Dathomir. Cass, that science girl… After Praz resurrected me, Carnifex took Yasha through the Warlock Gate. Don’t know how long it was for them in there, time’s a funny thing, but for us, it was a gaggle of minutes. Wouldn’t mention it, ‘cept she’s as mute as a mouthless gadfly ‘bout it. Wouldn’t worry much, Zambrano’s a living god to us Panathans, I mean, I know he ain’t divine, it’s just power and all, but he’s... it’s his job to watch out for fellow Epicanthix. Guess it’s why he’s helped us. My sister’s a deacon... ah, it’s like a priestess. Prays every day, and even fraudulent gods have a duty to their kith and kin. Don’t know if I just helped or hindered, but there it is.” I tap my fingers together, purse my lips and heave out a sigh. “Yeah… There it is... don’t go after her too hard, y’hear? Yash’s terrified you’ll be madder than a nexu with its tail caught in a grate for our little ‘save Panatha’ adventure. Best... you best let your predilections be... for your family... well... yeah…. Adenn? Let’s go see if that promise of cake was a real one. And if it is, I’m expecting a big old happy birthday ballad or two! Ain’t had a birthday in 20 years. You too, ah... son. Expect you to know a soldier’s shanty or two.”

With that said, I mosey on out to see the kitchen, with dots of blood on the floor and [member="Caz Australis"] standing with someone who’s holding a dust pan with...

“Oh, my old mug! Gosh can’t believe that thing lasted. Yasha made me that mug, back when she was 8 years old. Left it on the counter in my lab on the Myrmadinas... Shame someone broke it.” Little do I know my own grandchild broke it, and the act caused the hullabaloo going on outside. “Hei Caz’ika, you seen my daughter? Oy, and my granddaughter for that matter... where’d Adara go? And Ram? Where is everybody?”

I peek outside, and see Yasha sitting with her head on one guy’s shoulder ([member="Darlyn Excron"]), hand reaching out for [member="Noah Corek"]. Old blue eyes Omega Pyre guy.

Gods I hated him. The feth’s he doing by my gorram flesh and blood?

“Thank you, Baba. I’m happy you’re here... stall Buir!” Adara rushed up to give [member="Kaine Australis"] a kiss on the cheek, before rushing off and ducking away before her nanny goat bodyguards got on her tail.

“Oh... my... gooses!!!” Adara skittered to a stop, her giggles dying off as the Grey Sparrow came into sight. The fighter was a speck of freedom on a planet controlled by parents and rules. Adara scampered up to it.

“This is amazing!! Lori, oh can I?! Can I ride in front?!” Hopping up and down, Adara waited for her cousin to show her how to get into the cockpit, and properly strap in.

“I’ve never been airsick. Sick sick? Yes. But air sick? Nnnnnope. I’m golden. How did you get so lucky? Your own fighter!” Clambering up the ladder, Adara plunked down and pressed her skirts and petticoats down as she waited for the next step with [member="Loreena Arenais"].

"Yes you can!" Lori smiled widely, all proud of her training fighter. It carried no weapons, all of it's specialities relating towards defence. She helped [member="Adara Raxis"] climb in. The dress was so puffy that it took up a lot of space in the cockpit. But with luck, they managed to get it all in and still belt her securely. "Phew! That's quite the dress!"

She climbed in behind her and then hit the button to close the canopy. As she started up the preflight check and warmed up the engines, she answered her cousin's questions. "My mom and dad got her for me. Seeing how I liked flying in my jetpack, they wanted something a little bit safer. So they had Grey Sparrow made. I took lessons on how to fly her of course. And you can too! We'll call this your first lesson!"

Lori cleared her throat after checking the ship's sensors and being sure that the skies were clear. "You can put your hand on the thrittle and the other on the joystick there. I'm controlling them from the back, so you don't have access yet. But just get the feel of it as we take off and do some simple turns, okay?" She fired up the thrusters and then hit the throttle. With ease the fighter began to gain speed and at the right moment, Lori brought up the nose to give them the right amount of lift to gain altitude. "Flying makes me feel free...Almost like no one can touch me."

Smirking to himself as Aditya went further into the kiss. He enjoyed the moment, but it wasn't to last. They had to get to the house, and before long they were there. Adenn merely observed what was happening. He does find Adityas Mando drawl rather interesting though, it sounds like a spacer taught her, but he can't quite be sure. Knowing this is more of a family matter though, Adenn turned his focus elsewhere, and observed the decorations of the room.

Out of the corner of his ear, Adenn heard [member="Aditya Fitz Kierke"] tell [member="Kaine Australis"] he'd have to fight for [member="Yasha Cadera"]. Turning his head to observe them again, Adenn felt a pang of jealousy go through him as he watches her sip from Kaines flask. Then he remembers what had recently happened, and the jealousy was gone, and a wry grin had taken its place. Turning away, Adenn walked towards a decoration on the wall and looked it over.

He doesn't know how much time passed, but suddenly he hears his name. Turning back to Aditya, he smiles behind his helmet. Cake sounded nice, and he'd gladly accompany Aditya there. As she walks to the kitchen, Adenn follows closely behind her, observing his surroundings. Then he sees the blood, immediately his mind goes into combat mode, and he's scanning the surroundings more carefully, with one hand straying to his blaster pistol, until he sees the person with the dustpan.

Stopping instantly, Adenn shakes his head to himself, this wasn't combat, and that blood was from a cut. Frowning slightly, Adenn looks over the remains of the mug and begins pondering who could have broken it. Resolving to find out later, he turns his attention to [member="Caz Australis"], and gives her a respectful nod. So, that's the wife of the Mand'alor, helpfully identified by Aditya. Smirking behind his helmet, Adenn lets her keep talking and walks near the door to the outside. There he sees the Mand'alor taking comfort from [member="Darlyn Excron"] and [member="Noah Corek"]. Mentally shrugging, Adenn sees the mortal side of the Mand'alor in that moment, and it intrigues him.

He turns back to Caz and tils his head questioningly.
"If I may be so bold, what happened here? And why is the Mand'alor crying outside, and who's blood is this on the ground." At the blood bit, Adenn motions with a hand towards it, head still tilted questioningly.

Caz heard a voice directed at her. She looked up and smiled. "It's nothing really. Just a small mishap. Yasha is fine. There's a lot going on here right now and honestly a few surprises. Please, get yourself a drink and something to eat. We are just fine."

It was funny to Caz to hear everyone call Yasha Manda'lor. She knew that was what Yasha was, but she was so much more at home. The title rarely entered Caz's mind, however the responsibility that Yasha carried on her shoulders did. She felt it on her all the time.

"Thank you for your concern, really. It's nothing to worry about, though. If you will excuse me, I will go check on Yasha now."
