A day at The Oyu'baat (Mandalorians and Friends)

Anija smiled and gave a grateful nod to @[member="Briika Tor"] as she took a moment to inhale the aroma rising from the steaming bowl. it made her stomach rumble and her mouth water in anticipation. She leaned into @[member="Ordo"]'s shoulder for a moment, groaning lightly at the strength he had. "I'm well enough..." she said, smiling up at him between spoonfuls of stew. "Heard you were here, and decided to see what the fuss was about." She paused then and looked around for @[member="Arrbi Betna"]. It had been years since Ordo had found her on Corellia, and she couldn't think of any place she'd rather be right now than right here. "You haven't seen Arrbi anywhere, have you, buir..?"

There was a grunt in the back corner, as a nearly passed out Preliat shifted, knocking over several bottles of cheap, but potent, liquor. He leaned his head back, his helmet rested on the table, behind a healthy amount of liquor bottles. There was a grumbled and gargled statement from Preliat, something along the lines of:

"GOOD BOOZE I LIKE IT GIMME MORE."

Before he slumped over, a bit exhausted, but mostly a bit drunk. Comical, but there was something more to it than just the fact that it was downright hilarious to watch.

"I will hold you to that offer cyar'ika!" Strider grinned at @[member="Briika Tor"], gripping his short glass of Tihaar. Strider then looked back to Ordo, leaned into him so his voice wouldn't carry to far "See what I did there vod? I keep going the way I am going I will be looking like that di'kut" He pointed towards the drunken Prelait. "But.... I won't be going home empty handed, even if its with a uj cake..... still a win" Strider new damn well he was out of the woman's league but he couldn't resist being the womanizing flirt, it was who he was.

Isabet Denko

Olaror shal ni, vod.
Isabet stood at the door way, scanning the various new faces scattered over the tapcafe. She had yet to spend time with other Mandalorian's and the thought of conversation was more nerve wrecking than anything she had faced before. Isabet couldn't quiet tell what it was about making friends, but it wasn't her forte. Her buy'ce was still clipped to her head firmly. A fresh new Mandalorian straight from her verd'goten and she was surrounded by people who had seen things she couldn't imagine. She inhaled deeply and walked toward the bar, taking a seat on the nearest stool. She lifted her hands up, pulling her buy'ce from her head and setting it down onto the polished wood. Isabet ran her gloved hands through her blonde curls as she waited for someone to serve her.

Briika Munin

Briika was busily busing tables when the latest patron walked into the tapcafe. The blonde barmaid quickly finished cleaning the booth she was working on, then made her way back to the bar with a tray of dirty dishes, putting it down gently onto the back counter to be taken into the kitchen when she got a moment.

Turning around, Bree wiped her hands off on a clean bar towel, then flashed a welcoming smile at @[member="Isabet Kote"]. "What can I get you?"

Strider straightened himself up and took the short glass of tihaar in his right hand, lifting it up and tilting it back to his lips letting the strong spirit burn his soul from the insides. He then noticed the attractive blond entering the scene, someone he had never met before and more importantly someone that hasn't met him. "Hey Vod!" Strider would try and catch @[member="Isabet Kote"] attention "The party is over here!"

Strider then looked at @[member="stardust"] "don't you worry Cyar'ika! The drinking games will come soon" he reassured.

Gae'celic Alor, Master Beskarsmith
Mac stepped through the door, and looked around. He was wearing his 'daily' beskar'gam, and he sat at a table about halfway in. Crossing his feet, he looked over the menu. Mac had actually never been in the Oyu'baat before, so he figured today was as good of a day as any...

Isabet Denko

Olaror shal ni, vod.
Isabet raised her shoulders a little, scanning over the various bottles and taps behind the bar. She nibbled at her lower lip, letting her teeth sink into her flesh before she finally figured out what she wanted to order. "Tihaar, please." She turned her head to acknowledge the deep voice that called out to her. She had no idea what to say, but she raised her hand in response. Isabet didn't really want to involve herself in the large gathering that seemed to be going n. But she didn't want to be rude either. She attempted a small smile in the direction of Strider.

Anija turned to look as @Isabet Kite and Mac O Shenanigans entered the Oyu'baat. She'd met Mac once before, but hadn't seen him in years. She recognized him by the kilt he usually wore. She waved at him and smiled, though wasn't sure if he'd remember her.

She didn't know Isabet, but just the same, she motioned @[member="Briika Tor"] over, pressing a cred chip into her hand. "Bowl of stew and behot for the dalyc over there," she said quietly.

Ordo laughed as Strider declared a win with the young serving woman whose name was so mich like his Bria's. Even after the time he'd spent and the years of searching for her it was still hard to believe she was gone. He drank his ale and waved for a tumbler of tihaar before he caught himself.

'You can't kill a memory that way boy'o.' He thought to himself before he apologized and asked for his ale mug to be refilled.

He felt bad for Preliat but Ordo wasn't exactly sure what to do about it. He noticed new comers. The blond girl looked fresher than beskar straight off the coals. Ordo looked on as the girl made a courteous wave and did her best to be nice while still keeping to her self.

Then he noticed another, a man sat reading a menu and mulling over what to enjoy first. Ordo didn't think he knew him but then Ordo had drank a lot for a few years. He could have missed any number of people.

He looked at his Stew and smelled the steaming bowl. His scar riddled face looked as much like a jigsaw puzzle as anything else but the skin bent as he turned up a toothy smile.

"Briika if I wasn't a Married man!" He joked loudly. "You and this stew woukd have hooked me."

He dug a spoon in and took a hearty bite. That was some good stuff right there! He looked at the man with the menu.

"Ner Vod, if you don't try some of this stew before you go you'll have made a mistake!" Ordo exclaimed. He turned back to the big bowl. Just delightful.

"And you too!" He bellowed across the way at the girl who was trying to hide. "You need to have some too!"

He didn't wait for responses from either of them he just elbowed Strider and then the big Field Marshal. Tossed a fist full of vash credit chips from his belt onto the counter.

"Briika!" He called in his best pleading voice. "Stew for our new friends and full galsses of anything for anyone who wants something." He looked back at Preliat. "And stew and another drink for Rally Master Mantis, please ad'ika!"

He was the ranking vod here after all. I was only right in Ordo's farm boy mind that he take care of everyone else. Even Strider.

Mac just shrugged and tossed the menu down, "Looks like I'll be 'aving stew, and ale..." pulling out a small pocket shiv, Mac began cleaning out his nails, no sense in dirty fingernails when eating. He nodded to Anija, recognizing her and trying to remember where it was they had met.

He was going to need a good strong meal, as he planned to start pounding on some iron later at his forge. Surely someone would want blades or plates, so it was good practice to get the ingots ready...

Anija laughed lightly as @[member="Ordo"] suddenly tossed a handful of creds on the counter to buy stew for everyone. She may not know them all, but she could understand why he did it. She smiled and then dug into her own stew after nodding to @[member="Mac O Shenanigans"].

Isabet Denko

Olaror shal ni, vod.
Isabet nodded toward Ordo. The man had just paid for her drink and her meal. She had resolved to stay in her seat, but the social norm dictated that she should at least thank him in person. She slid from her seat, making her way slowly toward the group of people. "Vor'e, vod." She nodded again, and stood awkwardly at the side of the table. It was more then obvious that socialising wasn't her strong point.

"Well, that just made my day," Bree said flashing @[member="Ordo"] an appreciative smile at his compliment.

The golden haired barmaid dished up more bowls of her stew and prepared the drinks, then brought them over on a large tray and set it down on a centrally located empty table.

Briika grabbed a mug of behot and a steaming bowl, then placed it in front of @[member="Mac O Shenanigans"] on his table with a napkin and big spoon. "Su'cuy, vod. I'm Briika, if you need anything else just let me know," she smiled at the kilted Mando, then Bree went back to serve the rest of the food and drink to the group table, bringing two extra chairs over for @[member="Isabet Kote"] and @[member="Preliat Mantis"] so they could sit down.

Anija cleared her throat slightly. "I paid for your meal, vod ..." she said quietly, catching Ordo's eye and then smiling at Isabet. "Figured it was the least I could do..." she said with a shrug. "Please, join us!" she said firmly, but let the choice up to her. Anija found it strange that she herself was reaching out, as shy as she was. But she did know what it felt like to be on the outside.

Mac dug into his stew, eating it with gusto, and slurping the broth. Wiping his mouth, Mac drank down the ale as if it was water. Raising his glass towards the man who bought it for him, he smiled, "Oya Vode, t'anks for t'e meal..." It was indeed a good stew and the ale was almost as good as Mac's, though his tended to be on the strong side...

There were many things that were different between me and a normal Mandalorian. I didn't wear their armor, Nor spoke like them. I didn't use a Beskad or any of their weapons as some of them were not my... shall we say Forte. I used lighter weapons. Hidden in the shadows and striking from behind more often than not. Dressed in Crimson robes and with what could have been my simple gear. I had decided to go to a new bar. Mandalorians were everywhere. Including in the Galaxy, you could often find a good few on each planet. However, here is where they thrived.

I walked in to see a large group of Mandos drinking and having their fill. I was out of place, and it was very apparent. I had no fear of their minds or thoughts of me. I simply walked to an open spot on the bar and spoke,

"Anything to wet my lips." I glass was put down in front of me and in was poured a dull orange liqueur. I grabbed the glass with my left hand. The thing about drinking fast was you had to have an open throat. And letting the liquid just drain straight down into your gullet. For me it was easy. The drink was gone in less than a second and the glass was sat back down. Ignoring the possible looks around me, I ordered another.
