To solve the issue with having the A.I. system evolve over hundreds, or
potentially thousands of years - a time nudge was instituted. Over the course
of a Galactic Standard Week, the system's internal processing clock would
be nudged forward to run at a highly rapid rate. The exact formula is a trade
secret, but it essentially speeds up time to the ninth power. With such a
massive leap, the need of interaction was paramount. The program
would have to experience everything in that time frame, and thus using
the holo-net videos from the last millennium was a perfect pairing to the cocktail
of self-aware discovery. This however is not just a mere history lesson, it is
full of personality and charm that will mold the character of DARCI into
a unique and multi-dimensional persona.
