Why Wait for Darwinism? [Fel Dominion of Kad V]

It took several moments for the dropship to enter the atmosphere of Kad V, mainly due to the fact that the vessel was, indeed, plugging along. There were no windows on this vessel, so the Archmaster seated within had no idea that several interceptors, starfighters, and even bombers zoomed past immensely quicker than the rate at which he was traveling. However, Josiah was content and utilized this time to chat up the pilot; for at least he could make a friend on the way down...right? With a smile on his face, he leaned forward in his seat, enough so that the pilot could see him out of the rearview. "Hello there," he began with a wave, "my name is Josiah, I'm the new Archmaster. What's your name?" There was silence for a moment, and then the pilot responded.

"The name's Jake. I'm from State Farm."

As the stormtroopers headed their own way, another door opened from down the hall and a group of Sith apprentices entered. Ronin and his praetorian looked at them, waiting for them to strike out but first one spoke in a hiss "Our...Our ship! How dare you do this to Sith property!" the Sith growled as he activated his twin lightsabers and prepared for combat with Ronin who took his own stance beside the Praetorian.

"I'm sure the Sith have insurance" one of Ronin's Praetorian said with a grin, "They're in good hands."

As the Archmaster opened his mouth in order to inquire about this...State Farm...that he had never heard of, the dropship began to enter the atmosphere. Though the heat shields and deflector shields protected them from turning to ash within the atmosphere, there was a noticeable increase in temperature aboard the vessel. So much so that beads of sweat began to appear on the young Master's brow, warranting him to wipe the moisture away with the back of his hand. He then returned his attention to the pilot, whom seemed to be unphased by the increase in temperature, and thereby posed his inquiry. "It's hotter than kark in here..." he began, "how are you staying cool? What sort of thing are you wearing underneath that armor?"

"Uhh...Khakis?"

Since the battle had already been won, at least on be surface, the small group of Cadets found a use for themselves amidst the carnage and death surrounding them: all those they could accurately identify as Fel stormtroopers they lined up and took their dog tags. They had families just as much as anyone and they deserved to know what happened to them, even if it was being the first to die in battle. They tried to cover their bodies with whatever they could find - sheets seemed like the most appropriate option but they found little of it, so, unfortunately, most of the Fel troopers had to do without. Left in the hands of the elements. The rest of the bodies seemed to be from the Sith side and were not treated as decently like the war-dead of the growing Fel Imperium: those they knew were definitely of the Sith were piled up, out of sight and out of the way of the landing zone, also left to the elements. Regardless as their status of galactic abominations, Voroll said a prayer for both sides' dead. In a long-dead dialect of Esseles he uttered words that hoped they would find a path through their pain and suffering and into a place of beauty, tranquility, peace and love. Free from hate and jealousy and war and death. He hoped that none of those who died had suffered for long.

The rest of what had been scattered around the exterior of the facility was also piled up; weapons, bits of armour, sheets of metal, and crates with varied contents.

Now all they had to do was wait until their comms were back up or wait for rescue, whichever came first. But the sight of a large star destroyer descending through the clouds gave them some hope.

Ronin and his Praetorian charged at the Sith, their blades high in the air until the second that they were within range. The sound of lightsabers hitting one another created a song of war that raged on for minutes. Ronin combated the twin lightsaber wielding Sith, their blades hitting each other with perfect time as if this whole thing were being choreographed in front of a green screen. Left, down, right, right, up, down, left. That was the pattern in which the two were fighting and it was beginning to turn ugly. Luckily for Ronin, however, the Sith made a slight error in movement which allowed the Imperator to slide his blade across her chest in a series of violent strikes that ended with her falling to the ground.

With the Sith dead, Ronin turned back to his men to be sure that they had made it through, which they all had. Nudging them forward, Ronin took one last look at his defeated enemy. He would have moved on right away, but something about the searing wounds on her chest had caught his eye. It may have been the heat of battle or his aging sight...but he could have swore the wounds looked like a circle with two large disk-like ears on either side of it.

huh, that is strange Ronin though to himself.

The Archmaster could not help but chuckle at the response and leaned back in his seat, taking the opportunity to rest his eyes as they descended. The pilot said nothing more, nor additional attempts to make conversation...for he had to fly the karking ship without crashing it. Several more minutes passed, and now the dropship slowly entered the upper atmosphere; free of the risk of burning up. Josiah noticed the temperature change and exhaled with content. "Much better...here's hoping we don't get Frozen in here next." There was a chuckle from the pilot then, at which point he quipped. "Well, if it did...Would you want to build a Snowman?" The Archmaster couldn't help but chuckle in response. The pilot had jokes, that was for karking sure.

The Praetorian and their fearless leader ran down the empty corridors of the ship until finally coming to the large double doors of the Star Destroyer's bridge. With a few deep and disoriented breaths, Ronin struggled to catch his breath. His Praetorian circled him, their eyes showing their concern for the Imperator who had yet to master the force in order to give him the boosted strength he would need at his age. Before he could even begin to catch his breath, Ronin felt an invisible hand throw him backwards and down the hall. As the Imperator was tossed like a rag doll, the Praetorian turned to see that the doors to the bridge had opened to reveal a round Sith woman who bore all the signs of a Sith Master.

With a thrusting of her hand, the Sith let out a second force push that sent all but one of the Praetorian flying backward. The last remaining Imperial Knight ran at her with his blade, but was quickly caught in the grasp of a force choke and slammed against a nearby wall. As he was choked, the Sith asked him a question "The power of the Sith is great, lightsider...what do you think of it now?"

With a choking gasp, the Praetorian answered, "I think when people see you walking down the street they stop and say, by the force that is a big fat ass."

At long last, the dropship entered the lower atmosphere and began a wide semi-circle around the area wherein which there was a large concentration of Imperium presence. There were multiple potential landing zones to choose from, and as such the pilot began to make radio transmissions in order to ascertain the best location to set down. Obviously, in this context, the best location meant wherever the Archmaster could get to the Imperator the quickest. After a few passes above, the pilot was given the information he needed and a landing zone was designated. The Royal Stormtroopers on the ground made absolutely certain that the landing zone was clear of any potential opposition and waved the vessel in as it made its approach. "Alright sir, coming in for a landing."

The Sith's anger rose and the cocky Praetorian soon began to cough violently as his throat was wrenched harder by the Sith's hand. As the Sith tightened her grip around the man's neck, a voice screamed out from the distance as a Praetorian stood from her feet, "Get away from him, you queen!" the Praetorian screamed as she chucked her lightsaber at the Sith Master, who was forced to pull back her hand and release the male praetorian in order to dodge the saber. By this time Ronin had stood up from his position on the ground and was readying himself for his part in the counter attack. Running forward with the speed of a young man, Ronin leaped toward the Sith and brought his saber down hard.

After a couple of moments of meditation Yasuo finally broke through the illusion. He realized he had been running in circles all this time and was now ready make his way towards the source of this illusion. Who or whatever was causing this had to be eliminated before they were able to cast this illusion on someone more important than Yasuo, like the Imperator or one of the other soldiers aboard the ship. He continued running towards the source, encountering a couple of Sith Troopers and disarming them a couple of times before he finally reached a large door. The door wasn't locked so he opened it and stepped into a large room.

Ronin's saber was met with the saber of the Sith Master's who was forced to quickly push the attacking saber aside and swiftly move to deflect the incoming saber of one of the Praetorian. Again the movements were swift for a woman of that magnitude, but she cleanly deflected the saber and moved to the next. She was fighting the five of them just as easily as she would be fighting a single opponent. This was not good, they needed to find a way to end her fast before they all ended up dead and tossed out an airlock.

Inside the room was a figure sitting in the middle of the room. The figure was completely clad in black and around it was a dark aura and a couple of other figures. They were all wearing black robes and all looked to be in a meditative trance, since they didn't notice the door opening. Yasuo stepped closer and that's when the figures stood up and turned towards the Jedi, but the kneeling man still sat there, with his back to the door. The apprentices said ''Welcome, the master has awaited you already.'' In perfect unison.

Ayra finished writing her reports and returned the datapad back into her combat trousers. She had seen and learned enough about the Fel Empire to identify that they were a threat and an alarming one at that. There sudden emergence, their quick rise and their military might. Leaning forward in her seat, she reactivated the ships systems and began to turn the Taral back towards the Horuset system.

A scourging blast snapped across the bridge where the Praetorian Guard and the Imperator were dueling the Sith Lady. After already having cleared a massive portion of the hangar bay upon his arrival the armored Admiral and his little troop of Stormtroopers surged forward into the command bridge. His soldiers dispersed, breaking formation to engage the surrounding Imperial crews and officers. Only Grand Admiral Davin and a pair of his most capable drove forward through the maddening fury of combat.

Though he was still a Cadet, he was nearing his trials for Knight training. With grey armor glistening and a silver blade cutting through the screaming waves of crimson, the light broke through the darkness. His own saber pounded forth upon the Lady in conjunction with the Praetorian and his Imperator. "Coordinate!" He snarled, dropping to a knee to narrowly avoid a blood-red saber from slicing across his vulnerable neck. "Aye, sir!"

Zrash disembarked from his gunship in the middle of a fire-fight between Phoenix and the defending Sith forces. Blue and red blaster blots whizzed through the low gravity environment of the rock. Zrash was in full gear for the environment as opposed to his normal officer's get-up. The Sith were slowly getting pushed back into the facility and Zrash was here with Infinite to kick their tails inside and then out the airlock. Right now they were in a courtyard used for shuttle landings. To both the east and west similar battles waged on as Zrash divided the Sith Security force into pieces.

"Infinite, push forward and breech the blast door. Squads 12, 18, 21, 56 provide cover on those defensive ramparts. Squad 2 back up Jagged CELL on the South end and bring down their comms!

Just another day, blowing the Sith open on what should be a deserted chunk of rock.

Yasuo immediately let his hand go next to his saber, ready to activate it and defend himself against anything he would face here. The Apprentices started talking again ''No need for that here. We won't attack you. We only want to talk. We want you to join us and attack the Imperator who has attacked our ship.'' ''I would never do that, wretched Sith.'' ''Oh trust me, you will.'' Hearing the apprentices say that was creepy. They were talking like one person, as if they had been possessed by something or someone. Most likely the man sitting in the middle. Yasuo would have to break his spell and hopefully save the sith present.

As Davin ran in and was almost decapitated by the Sith Lady, Ronin took the chance to try and severe her arm from her elbow. Unfortunately, the lady was quick and was able to side step the attack before swinging a bisecting waist blow towards Ronin. The Imperator acted quickly and deflected the saber with his Cortosis gauntlet, which resulted in a large spark and sudden hiss of electricity before the Sith Lady's blade went out...

Sai Fel had been late to the party, well less so but she was here now and moved as fast as she could to try and help out the others. She wanted to help the others but didn't know how. She didn't have a saber yet just the rifle as she rushed and fired the slugthrower into the jaw of another soldier. The slugs making a thumping sound while she swung it up into a second one.

Whilst the main research facility had been taken. Their were still small bands of Sith fighting and causing trouble. Astrian had finished his work in the upper levels of the building, however the crashed ship had left too much wreckage on the door, he had no way out other than this, attaching the blade to his belt; he reached out with both hands. Delving into the force; he gritted his teeth as the wreckage moved a few inches, a few pieces if debris moved to. However; his efforts did little but were not in vain, a large crack erupted from the ground beneath Astrian, then another and another. The ground beneath the wreckage plummeted down as it gave way to the wreckage. Now sliding, Astrian had to roll onto his back in an attention to grab hold of where the cracks had surfaced. One big metal hand climbed for dear life. "Woah!" Then ale the roared cane from the structure of the building as the wreckage of the ship twisted and slammed straight into. More was to fall, and Astrian would have to run and fast.

Zrash gritted his teeth as he dueled with a Sith Apprentice on the landing pad. Lightsabers were fierce weapons and he knew why and even more so, he knew why the Force was a threat. He was sent barreling backwards by an invisible force through the low gravity atmosphere and hit the ground with a heavy thud, barely managing to grip onto it. Before he even rose to his feet the Dark Sider was rushing him. The speed was blinding and nearly mystic. All Zrash could do was accept his fate.

Zrash heard a scream in the commlink, and opened his eyes. Above him Infinite Four stood, there was a red lightsaber that was clearly embedded in CELL's chest. The blade had arced downward and went between the shoulder and neck, a blow that would have clearly decapitated him. Blind anger quickly took place of the shock and Zrash yanked himself to his feet. The Sith threw Four's body sideways with the Force, grinning. However, the Apprentice was inexperienced and was dismayed when he realized his previous opponent Zrash was swinging his vibrosword straight at the Acolyte. Blood spattered into the low air as Zrash blade went clean through the Apprentices arm, cleaving it in half. Zrash then kicked the murderous friend backwards. Before the Chiss could even react the Sith was gunned down by a volley Disruptor fire from Infinite Two.

"We lost Four..."

"I know sir, we've breeched the base and dropped the comms however."

"Good Man. All units, clean up the survivors on the outside and push into the facility, minimize internal damage. This building is to be captured."
