DESCRIPTION
As the spatial battlefields are always evolving, to ensure one’s success - it is often best to get with the times - lest one’s left behind. Such a mindset was applied to the infamous Warrior II as the third iteration of the New Class program began. The Corvette was the epitome of small-scale warships being able to threaten a variety of vessels above their weight class. With advanced automation, weapons systems, and the combat agility to match - there was little that could be done to overtly update the warship’s design. However, as advances were made in micronization, robotics, and structural plating - the Warrior II soon found itself receiving a facelift from the Republic Engineering’s shipwright division.

Thus, the Warrior III was outfitted with a plethora of Quality of Life (QoL) improvements to become a noticeable upgrade in comparison to the former iteration. The first of these improvements came from the heavily reinforced spaceframe. While previous versions of the Warrior - Class were considered as nothing more than overtly expensive “Glass Cannons” that couldn’t endure lengthy battles without sustaining heavy damage. Thus, the Warrior III sought to go against the grain, while keeping their purpose true to the original design of being a heavily armed and mobile warship. To that end, the standardized durasteel composition of the armour, hull, and skeletal spaceframe was reinforced by carbon nanotubes, effectively making the warship more resilient than ever before.

From there, the honeycombed armour and hull plating would be further reinforced by an array of anti-concussion field generators - which would help strengthen the warship’s structural integrity during battle. While much larger warships would have little trouble in ramming aside the Warrior III, those integrated anti-concussion field generators made it extremely difficult for vessels of the same size classification, or smaller, from breaching the vessel’s structural integrity without resorting to near-hyperspeed ramming. With those additions in play, the Warrior III would no longer be considered a “Glass Cannon” by any conventional standards, and likely find itself with a newly applied appellation in time.

With the armour and structural situation sorted, the Warrior III was given a host of additional maneuvering thrusters and aetheric rudders that would assist the vessel in proverbially dancing about the spatial battlefield. While speed was important, as it factored into a vessel’s method of propulsion and acceleration, their maneuverability in the depths of space was by-far a more important aspect to see enhanced. Through the additional maneuvering capabilities, the Warship would be more than capable of consistently keeping their enemies within their sights; as less time was spent swinging about. The Warrior III would not only be capable of wasting precious seconds swing about to keep their target in their sights but with those thrusters and aetheric rudders? The warship would be able to do it with such alacrity, their enemies wouldn’t know what hit them.

Add in the countless improvements in AI administration, streamlined automated, reduced crew count, and even an enhanced countermeasure suite, the Warrior III was shaping itself up to be one of the best heavily armed Gunship Corvette’s in the Galaxy.

Lovely, but please keep in mind that the Ratings, not flowery descriptions or number of weapons, should be considered the best reflection of any given Starship's combat capabilities. Not that it tends to become an issue unless abused.

Approved.
