Walk with me .. Into the Abyss [Mission]

A small reconnaissance team with the Galactic Republic Navy reported a derelict ship, in open space near the system of Monastery. The ship they described is an Interdiction-Class Star Destroyer, the results from the recon team’s scanners, indicate that the ship is incapacitated, no life signs and no life support system on line and depleted. It is an old ship, dating back to the Dark Time when the Imperials ruled. It is said that Darth Vadar had visited Monsastery in order to ‘convince’ the peoples of the this to join the Empire. So there is little surprise that one of the older Class of ships is still suspended in space, the Galaxy still holds surprises and treasures from the past.

The interesting data to come from the reports, is that the recon team had picked up an unusual high energy reading, located in bowels of the ship. A small team had boarded the ship but found nothing in the area indicated, they also reported that a strong presence of the darkside was sensed, but again, nothing was found.

Iella stood by the commander of the Military Scout Vessel, as the ship existed hyper space. Immediately the long range sensor arrays picked up the Interdictor, and the vast ship came into view within the bridge window. Iella just looked at it for a moment, history before her eyes, but still the ship still held an imposing air about it.

“Keep the scanners on that ship, I want to know if anything unusual happens or appears”, she said to the Commander. “Get us closer, prime the weapons .. just in case”, she smiled a little, over cautions? Probably but that is Iella.

She turned to the members of the Jedi Order who have signed up for this mission. A good strong crew of Knights and two Padawans, she considered them for a moment before speaking.

“We will be taking a small craft over to the Interdictor .. you will need to go and suit up, there is no environment support. You will find all you need in the hangar bay near the ship. We must use caution, there is a strong presence of something on that ship, something dark and we are going to find out what it is”. She looked at them in turn.

“If you have any questions or concerns .. please speak up now”, she said finally.

Flint Dexen

Wandering Lost Soul
Flint simply nodded as he gazed through the window at the derelict ship that floated into view. He had volunteered to be part of this mission. After all, this ship had something of a dark history. But he was confident that the current team of six Jedi were more than enough to handle the mission.

"Quick question. What exactly is our objective?" Flint inqiured as he began suiting up to enter the dead ship.

Aika Kawakami

Can one find true light when shadowed in darkness?
Aika arrived on the bridge just as their vessel came out of hyperspace. She took only few more steps onto the bridge, seemingly lifeless ship in full view to all upon the bridge. Oddly enough, she'd volunteered for this assignment, Actually, in the recent past, she'd been volunteering for more and more assignments. Perhaps she was finally tiring of staying with the Orders reach. Or maybe she just wanted to bu away from the politics of Coruscant. Who knew? There was one thing that she did know, that she hoped the others would notice as well. There was something aboard the vessel, something dark. Which made it more odd, as she sensed no life from it. Lost in her own thoughts and her own senses, Aika simply stared out the window, the words of Iella working their way in one ear, and out the other.

Nico Ike Qarmast

The Wayward of Clan Qarmast
This was a strange place and a strange feeling but... Nico was fine with that. Her master was here and so were some of the others. That meant she could hide behind them right? Yeah hide behind the other jedi knights who knew what they were doing and could fight... at least as well as anyone else could without showing what she had been before. There was no reason to unless they got in a lot of trouble. Her mind kept racing while she stood near her master and made sure her hair was in a tight ponytail.

Meta stood aboard the bridge of the ship; surveying the vast empty space that was ahead, in front, behind and all around them. A vast an empty nothingness. It really boosted the morale...but, on a serious note. Meta remained quite, standing still in his black robes. He looked upon his fellow crew members and jedi, his saber at his belt. The silver cylinder dangling from his belt, ready to levitate to his hand to be activated. However, now was the time for solace and quiet as his disgruntled fellow jedi seemed to not have an idea what exactly they were doing here, however Meta would allow Iella to answer, Meta's focus and attention drawn deeper and elsewhere.

It been more less couple season when Ronin had ran off from the temple. Having had a bit of disagreement with one the assign 'Masters' by the Jedi to train him. As part his return to the fold agreement with the council which for the most part. He was doing OK for the most part but then being who he was. And his aversion to authority figures along with his trust issues made it dicey the last few Masters down the road. Of which with his growing insubordination of their lead lead to his longer disciplinary session. Of either being made take longer meditation lesson or hitting the mat training. At any rate it didn't take long for that get old and in his desire to keep it together. He though it best to take off . But then things happened and before he knew it it had been couple season that past. And unsure if his latest escapade would go down well with the higher up. And he was probably going be on lock down quite bit for it so when chance came his way. Of small job....salvage recon to a system preset by the syndicate. He took it and got small loaner ship from the dealer to use. He then set off on his way. Guided to the location by preset nav location enter by the syndicates handler before hand. Given only strait up
And with bit of skill he flew to the intended location to begin the sweep of the area.

Tallia lied restfully in a bunk on board the Jedi scout ship. Her head was elevated by a pillow under her neck, and she sat reading on her datapad. The novel she was digesting now wasn't particularly interesting, but it passed the time while she was on the shuttle. She had just started chapter twenty when she felt the familiar surge of exiting hyperspace. She set the datapad down and got up from her bed. Her arms raised as she stretched her muscles and a yawn passed out of her mouth.

The crate she opened contained all the supplies Tallia would need to prepare for the mission. She pulled out a black jumpsuit and put it on over her undergarments. It fit on like a second skin but was designed to keep the wearer warm or cool depending on the temperature. She preferred her Jedi robes, but they wouldn't fit under the vacc suits they'd be using to cross to the Interdictor.

She tied her hair into a ponytail as she made her way to the bridge. Looking out the ship's main viewport, she caught her first glimpse at the vessel they had come for. A chill ran through the force as she too sensed the dark aura inside. Derelict ships floating through space made her uneasy. Not that it was a very common sight, but she had had a bad experience on board one before. This time she would be much more cautious.

"It looks smaller than I thought it would." Was all she had to say as the wheels continued to turn in her head.

Aika Kawakami

Can one find true light when shadowed in darkness?
Finally snapping from her trance, Aika moved from the bridge. Like the others, she needed to gear up in the environmental suits. Her walk to the hangar bay seemed longer than it had ever been. Likely because her mind was filled with thoughts. Not to mention the ominous presence she continued to feel as she moved through out the vessel. Never in her life had she felt something lifeless, yet so dark. It simply wasn't natural, and it gave her the creeps. Not the little ones like jitters. No, the big ones. The ones that someone trip over air while running from something, when they don't even know where that something is. Those kind of creeps.

As the doors to the hangar bay slid open, she moved in, still trying to piece together the puzzle that was her mind. Not far from the doors, yet off to the left a bit, was a half opened crate. Sliding the lid from the crate revealed the suits within. As she began suiting up in the white enviro-suit, she exhaled deeply, attempting to reach out the Iella telepathically. "E'ron--san. That vessel.. Within is something....dark. Yet it feels so lifeless. How is that possible?"

"Quick question. What exactly is our objective?" Flint had asked. Iella firstly turned to him ..

"The recon team reported the finding of this ship and it's class, this, to the council was of interest for that alone, but with their findings of a dark presence ...", she turned to Aika now, "it become more so. You are right to think this Aika. How is it possible?, well that is what we shall find out. There could be several options. One is a presence of force ghost, maybe since it detection was so clear .. it is probable it is Sith. Or .. the embodiment of this Sith housed in something, like a relic or artifact. This is common .. I have seen it first hand and dealt with something like this before. The strength of the Sith, is unknown. However I have the feeling that this is not going to be as easy as my last encounter with such things". She looked at them all now, and considered them in turn. "This will be dangerous you must be prepared to face .. anything".

Iella was just about done suiting up, the only thing left was the helmet. "@[member="Meta"], the crew have loaded crates of R-X Recon Droid, type one and two. Once we have boarded the interdictor deploy them to search the entire ship. Keep a running report open to us all", she said now proceeding to the craft. "You know, if there is a possibility that we can get the life support back up and the engines operational, we might be able to fly this ship back to Coruscant, once the presence is established and dealt with". She smiled at them all now, imagining the sight it would be to have that ship in the skies over that planet. Her Corellian cheeks flowing through her veins and through to her face. "That would raise an eye brow or two don't you think?".

With that said, Iella boarded the craft .. still holding the smile on her face. She turned to Nico and winked.

Meta had only nodded in reply to Iella's order. He would have to head down to the cargo bay; backing up and turning away from his fellow jedi, he walked through the door to the bridge of the ship. On the other side, nearby was an elevator. Walking forth and into the elevator, he selected a sequence of numbers. This led him to the Cargo Bay. Upon arriving on the Cargo Bay level, Meta made his way to one of the cargo boxes. Slowly he removed the box's top. Revealing what seemed to be like a large orb. It floated upwards and into the air, Meta stumbled a little. He had expected, well.... different?

Something else. However, he wouldn't have time for activating them all seperately. So, heaving to a terminal. He searched, finding the control to the orbs. They all activated, and one by one. Meta removed the tops of the cargo box's. There was about a dozen of them, little floating Orbs. All currently being monitored by the terminal. Meta set them into search move, and they followed him to boarding shaft. Now, not far behind @[member="Iella E`ron"] herself. She was only a few metres ahead, however the Orbs did not keep a pace with Meta, they zoomed on past him. Then past Iella and began to divide throughout the ship, now with massive strides which would seen abnormal for anyone other than Meta, he reached Iella's side. "The Recon Droids are linked up with my data unit. If they find anything, I'll know." He said, he had completed the task Iella had asked of him, and was now heading into the ship himself.

Aika Kawakami

Oh.... Of all things, that wasn't exactly what she wanted to hear. Then again, it wasn't something that she didn't inherently know herself. They hadn't been sent out here for nothing. This ship...and whatever was aboard it, had caught the attention of the council, and it was necessary to know exactly what was there. She was interested in the prospect of finding a Sith relic on board. That in itself would be worth the trip. But the thought that something else, something without life, yet still with a presence of its own. Aika had to control her thoughts and feelings. If there truly was something dark on board that vessel, thee was the likelihood that it could feed on fear. She certainly didn't want to be its pool of strength. With a slight sigh, she donned her helmet, securing it in place before proceeding to Iella onto the ship. "Not gonna lie. I really wish I was wrong for once."

Nico listened and kept her eyes on the goal ahead but a small chuckle escaped her lips. There were other things that didn't need life to be there. What better place to lure things to eat in then here. The thought brought back some thoughts and memories but she put those aside while turning to see @[member="Aika Kawakami"] and look the girl over. She was interesting but seemed to be over thinking it, they were going into a ship that may or may not have been used long ago. Most likely it got damaged and they could repair so the crew died and all they might be feeling was residual from them. It didn't feel anymore evil then Dxun or the temples on Yavin IV. "Well there are other things it could be, we don't need a sith relic or even presence. There are dangerous creatures that like lost ships and enjoy tormenting. We could be walking into a nest of starweirds."

It would seem alone standing in field of azure and green he stood gaze ahead. Beyond the fields towards lone figure obscured by the distance and space that separated them. Call and beckoning to him so with nothing less than silent gaze along with silent gesture. To which for whatever reason he could not help but be drawn in blindly to its sweet embrace. As the ever growing ebb breeze brush his cheeks followed then soon by gentle drips of rain. Falling ever so gently over his face like tears of heavenly sky. Left him to pause and wonder at first lifting his head to the sky let out a slight sigh as he did.

Before soon deep sense of dread and urgency filled him so. That he all could no longer resist its calling that shift his head face ahead. Only to come face to face with a now blacken earth all round him. Scorched and trampled upon by some unknown dark force he himself sense but could not see. As all around him darkness seem to slowly close in. Tightening its hold with every moment and the slowly decreasing landscape that dread began fill him ever so suddenly.

Leaving him so to somehow find the strength to thrash round in floor of the small space. He somehow ended up.....some seem couple of days so. As the pieces of the layers peel away to pull back reveal the reality all round him. Where in no sooner had his ship dock to sink its landing claws onto the underbelly of the mystery ship hull. That everything seem to go very wrong that he no less seem regret dismissing the faint warning sign. That no less wished he had heeded but then by the time he realized it so. It was too late and from the relative calm routine start of mission that so lull him false sense of security. That made him ever so to dare explore deeper into the core of the ship hull. Blinded and dismissive of the faint sign he came across soon after of the deep underlying darkness. That seem innocently brush his thought that he for back then dismissed as mere coincidence.

To which no sooner had he been pass midway in that he began to realize but by then it seem to late. For having been way pass the junction point there seem been no turning back. That he soon found himself trap....somehow injured and no way out of his predicament. He somehow ends up in what seem be cargo bay...into some sort capsule......trap suspended in dreams. Until perhaps he be lucky found......

"Master E`ron, our sensors have detected a life form on board the interdictor. Also scanners have report an unknown ship attached to the undercarriage .. in all likelihood the life form has come from the ship. Previous reports had not indicated this.", The voice issuing through her comlink from the bridge, and on the open channel to the rest of the team.

"Alright Commander, thankyou. Have an aggressive scan done on that ship, I want the location of this life form as soon as possible". Iella held tight onto a support as the craft left the hangar and proceeded to the Interdictor. It would only take a short time to get there and soon the craft had docked in a hangar bay, easy enough as there was no defenses.

"Master E`ron .. the life form is located in the cargo bay, I repeat .. the life form is located in the cargo bay'. urgency in the Commanders voice now.

Iella secured her environmental helmet to her suit and existed the craft. For the first time is who knows how long .. beings had entered the ship once more. She lit her torch and scanned the area. The light revealing a standard hangar, so old ships still docked .. machines hooked to them, as if still running diagnostics, droids inactive now stood still as if caught in time, in various parts of the hangar. There is a soft dust suspended in the air, or rather vaccum. The light from her torch bleeding through it and forming a white ray as the photons danced on the dust. The place is quiet simply eerie.

"Keep your senses alert to ... everything, I want to know if you feel the slightest .. sense of life or darkness".

Tallia equipped her vac suit and headed stepped into the boarding craft they would use to pass over to the Interdictor. She took a deep breath as she listened to the comm chatter. What lifeform could have been on that ship for so long? The Star Destroyer didn't look like it had been disturbed for many years. Whatever it was, it obviously wasn't good. She stepped out of the shuttle behind @[member="Iella E`ron"] and scanned the hangar.

She spotted some old TIE's sitting in the bay. "Wow, look at all this history." Tallia marveled, her fear of the dark presence momentarily forgotten. "Do we have any ships this old intact?"

Nico looked around while she remained closer to her master but didn't crowd, the idea of fighting without a saber wasn't as appealing as it could be so she just kept her hand sot herself to stop from fidgeting. Her nerves were ready for anything but more then that she was ready to fight it just seemed to be the natural course from that tightening of her gut, if something evil or dark was here she imagined several ways to handle it and kill it. That might not involve her frying someone and blowing where she had been trained was preferable.

Aika Kawakami

Can one find true light when shadowed in darkness?
Worried as she might be, and she certainly was, Aika pushed in behind the others, eyes scanning about. Undoubtedly, the ship was dead. It was about as creepy as one could possibly imagine. But at least things weren't popping out at them. That would simply send her screaming back to the ship. Where she duck and hide until they were far away from the derelict vessel. But, since that wasn't happening, there was no need for all that.

As Tallia spoke about the old fighters, Aika looked in her direction, amazed as well at the historical remnants before them. "Hm. Well, I don't think so. If we did, I'm sure we would've.." Her words hit a sudden stop, feeling as if something had slipped past them, right behind their backs. She looked to the others, a slight look of worry upon her face. "Anyone feel that? It felt like, just for a split second, that something was behind us. I'm imaging things, right? Tell me I am."

@Darrin Onyx @Tallia Farn @Flint Dexen @[member="Nico Minuro Ike"] @Ronin Wendigo @Iella E`ron @Astrian Callus

"Meta, get some recon droids down into the cargo bays, we need that life form co-ordinate and an id on it", she asked. Iella began to move off toward the bay, she did hear Aika's comments about feeling something around them, but did not comment in return, as she had fixed her focus.

A single beam of torch light lit her way, the ship is in complete darkness. Iella's senses on high alert, she would not only rely on the torch but would use a more accurate tool, the Force. Her torch light flicked around the corridor she walked along, it was not long before the first sign of what might have occurred here began to appear. Laying of the floor up head are bodies, as she approached, she recognised them as Old Imperial Stormtroopers .. their white armour still in tact. She approached as shone the torch over them, there was no sign of injury or attack but they lay in odd angles, their bodies still complete as if it only happened yesterday.

Then move forward there were more, this time however, the armour ripped open at the chest as if some creatures had crawled at them. The only sign of their remains was a pile of dark ash within the armour. Iella stopped to investigate, her light shine between to the groups .. a riddle as to what happened, why the difference in the remains.

"Stay close everyo.... ", she did not finish.

A wall of darkness hit the all like a lighting bolt, piercing the evil into their very hearts and minds. The sound of malicious laughter filled their ears and a voice entered their minds. Lightsiders! Welcome! It has been a long time since I have had such esteemed company, you all shall be a challenge to hunt, the low deep voice said with a laugh. Oh but my manners have escaped me, ... ... I am M'liss. The dark presences seemed to be all around them, Iella could not pinpoint it's source ... for now.

Astrian was buy co-ordinating the droids when the voice came from the dark aura around them, of course. Astrians hand went for the saber at his belt, instantly taking a defensive stance. He took the saber from his belt, the recon droids were on their way. However, something worse was upon them. "Who are you?" He questioned, not activating his blade but keeping the saber steady in his hand. His eyes darted from corner to corner, he could not find the source of the dark side aura or the voice. This was a mystery, he looked to Iella. His face filled with curiosity, a healthy and not so insane curiosity. "What are you...?" He then finally came to, his voice had lowered. Calm and disciplined, his eyes darted across the room and then back to Iella whom looked as if, she too were searching for its source.

It was then by whatever reason with seem great care whoever it was that jump him. Bound in what seem been a strange enclosure no bigger than capsule. To afford him just enough wiggle room be lay flat on his back and nothing more. As he soon slowly woke up with quite pounding headache. At which time instinctively reaching up to lift a hand to his head that he made aware of his predicament. With his finger soon brush to slide over the soft cold interior of the enclosure. Then towards the strange collar he soon found round his neck smooth and cold to the touch. It no less sent chill down the young Jedi spine that he could not help. For brief moment unknowingly try reach out thru the force but no sooner denied. As sharp bolt of electricity course thru his system emanate from the collar. Made sure from then on to stop and sever any if not all attempts to access of connect to the force soon after.

And soon the realization slowly hit him like cold wind.....that trap like rat in cage by god knows who. There would be no escape for him and that he was alone......
