Kuhbee was beginning to think the worst part of Wookiee flu wasn't the fever, the aching muscles, or even the miserable coughing.

It was the loneliness.

For days, the young Wookiee had been confined to the hospital wing of Shiraya's Sanctuary, tucked beneath blankets while healers came and went wearing protective masks. No training. No wandering the halls. No visiting his friends. Worst of all, nobody had been allowed to visit him while he was contagious.

But this morning, everything had changed. His fever was gone. The healers had finally declared him safe to be around others, and Kuhbee had barely been able to contain his excitement ever since.

The nurse stepped into his room with a small smile.

"Visiting hours are starting," she told him. "And you have some visitors."

Kuhbee's ears perked immediately. He pushed himself upright so quickly that the blankets tumbled into his lap, and an eager, rumbling growl escaped his throat.

Visitors. People had actually come to see him.

For the first time since getting sick, Kuhbee suddenly felt much, much better.

((Multiple people can reply at once. I'll reply as if the visits are happening at different times))

VISITING HOURS
NABOO - THEED
HOSPITAL

The last time Connel had been to this hospital, he had visited Katarine Ryiah Katarine Ryiah who was taking care of her “piece of work” brother Daxium Ryiah Daxium Ryiah . The was a day of unnecessary stress, but the Master had grown since then and he had brought some things for children in the hospital to play with, including some toys for kids and a few games to help them pass the time while they were stuck in their hospital beds. He had also brought in a few new toys to help the kids pass the time during their healing once they get home.

He was here to see someone else though. Someone he had not seen in a long time. He was here to see a young Wookiee who was going through a sickness. Connel grew up around the “walking carpets “as some saw them to be. He was always very close and a fan of them and their culture, so when he heard of a Wookiee who was sick, he knew he had to come and see if he could help in any way he could. It was actually heartbreaking to see the poor kid like that, once so exuberant, he looked like he was so sad and depressed.

Jackson had not known Kuhbee long enough to call him a close friend.

That did not mean hearing the young Wookiee had been stuck in the hospital for days had sat particularly well with him.

He had heard enough about the flu going around, and enough about how miserable the isolation had been, to decide that showing up once visitors were allowed seemed like the right thing to do. Jackson was not entirely certain what the etiquette was for visiting a Wookiee recovering from being sick, so he had settled on bringing food.

Food usually worked.

By the time he reached the hospital wing of Shiraya's Sanctuary, someone else had clearly arrived ahead of him. Jackson recognized Master Vanagor near the room, along with what looked like enough toys and games to keep several patients occupied.

Jackson glanced down at the small bag in his hand.

"Well. Guess I undershot this."

He had half hoped Sophelia Ardemark Sophelia Ardemark might show up too. Not because Jackson needed someone to hold his hand through a conversation, but because he did not really know anyone here well enough to fall naturally into the room. Soph would have made an easy bridge. She knew how to fill silence without forcing it, and meeting new people always felt less awkward when there was at least one familiar face nearby.

Still, Jackson had come this far.

He stepped toward the doorway and gave the frame a light knock before leaning in far enough to see inside.

Kuhbee was upright in bed, which Jackson took as a good sign.

"Hey."

There was a slight pause before Jackson stepped farther into the room.

"Hope you don't mind another visitor."

He offered Master Vanagor a quick nod before looking back toward Kuhbee. Jackson had seen him around before, enough to recognize the Wookiee and know who he was, but not enough that barging into the room like they had known each other for years felt right.

The bag came up slightly in his hand.

"I brought snacks."

Jackson glanced toward the collection Connel had already brought.

"Apparently Master Vanagor brought everything else."

A small grin appeared as he moved closer, though he stopped beside one of the chairs instead of immediately crowding the bed.

"I heard they finally cleared you for visitors today."

There was not much else to say without making the whole thing awkward, and Jackson had never been especially talented at carefully manufactured sympathy anyway. He looked Kuhbee over briefly. The young Wookiee still looked like he had been through several miserable days, but at least he was sitting up.

"How are you feeling?"

Jackson pulled the chair out slightly.

"Actually, never mind. You're in a hospital bed, so that's probably a stupid question."

The grin returned as he sat down.

"How much better are you feeling?"
