VEMRIC KELDRA

Vemric's life is a long and storied one.
Born on Thustra into the Noble House of Keldra, he was used to the lap of luxury and sophistication from a young age. Thustra was a bubble of peace in the turmoil of years of wars within the Galaxy. Vemric grew up without much care in the world aside from his education.
His parents both worked as politicians in the government of Thustra. The entire family watched as the planet fell from the hands of one empire to another over decades. Until the rise of the Confederacy of Independent Systems in the aftermath of another war drew their attention. The time had come to spread their wings from the isolated Thustra.Before long, they joined the Confederacy and they moved to Naboo where his parents gained good footing within the Viceroyalty. His father's blood was not wasted within the Confederacy and they received the standing they deserved. Throughout, Vemric still received his high-end education as well as started some military training.
As a young man by Sephi standards, Vemric had to decide whether he would follow in his parents' political footsteps or become something else. He opted for the something else to his parents' great surprise, as he never had the temperament for politics. He had always had an interest in his martial training as well as a head for tactics, which caused him to enlist as Cadet in the Confederacy's Naval Command to his parents' slight heartache. He climbed the ranks quite quickly due to his drive for sheer perfection.
Within the years that followed, Vemric met the love of his life, Maja - a human woman, within Naval Command. Even as they both served, they were happy - Vemric's good fortune continuing to hold for several more years. Life on Naboo treated the Keldras well. Until the day they were called to arms in the raid on Kamino. Maja, being a Wingman in the Starfighter Corps, was on the frontlines while Vemric served on the Command Ship. The fight was strenuous, and it took all of everyone's concentration to emerge victorious. But the victory came at a cost. To Vemric's horror, many men and women were lost, Maja's squadron included. They may have won a victory, but to Vemric it felt like he had lost everything in that raid. Heartbroken, the young Sephi returned to an emtpy home. A memorial was held in honour of those who had died, but Vemric had no body to bury. He mourned deeply for a long time. It took him weeks to bounce back from the loss, but when he did, he pressed even harder for perfection - becoming almost ruthless in the pursuit of it. This time, he bouldered through the ranks - still aiming for perfection as he went. A ruthless tactician, Vemric became quite the asset to the Confederacy and was made Fleet Marshall. To this day, he quietly mourns Maja's death and presses himself to be great - to be perfect and to protect those that need it, regardless of the cost.
A long prosperous life was lived on Naboo, albeit riddled with heartache for Vemric. His career in the Confederate Navy, however, was illustrious and had many milestones until he became Grand Marshall of the Confederate Navy. Fate continued to smile on the perfectionist Sephi as he kept the vast Confederate space clear of unwanted denizens.
But all good things had to come to an end.Following the tremendous losses over Rhand and the aggressive attack on his own ships, Vemric's tolerance for tragedy had finally reached boiling point. After limping into Galactic Alliance space with what was left of his lines, the weight of loss after loss caused the once stalwart Grand Admiral to buckle in his duty. After minor repairs on his ships in allied space, Vemric left the command of the lines in Commander Miles' hands while he retreated into a dark hole.
Concern for his CO's wellbeing, the Commander made the decision to not return to Confederate space. After brief deliberation with the other commanding officers of the few ships left, they all were in favour of moving to Wild Space for the time being for everyone to get their bearings. Incidentally, the Mandalorian contingent have moved into the area as well.
Vemric found himself taking charge of day to day operations on the planet of Hefi, where he ran into an old friend and subject
Verin Oldo
, who had the same stroke of conscience that Vemric had. Together the two old Confederate Naval Officers took charge and brought many victories to the Enclave who had made a pact with Hefi.
Due to Vemric's long and illustrious military career, he was the one to manage all non-Mandalorian military forces across Enclave space and mobilise them accordingly.
The Confederacy had been losing its strength and it was in the skies over Rhand that things had reached a dramatic end for Vemric. One thing had led to another and at the end of it all, Vemric found himself in an interesting role.
He and his defected attack line found themselves in Wild Space and settling on the planet Hefi where he eventually was voted in as Governor of the planet. The Mandalorian Enclave happened on the planet eventually and an aliiance between Hefi and the Mandalorians sprung forth.
The Enclave saw many victories with the help of Vemric and his non-Mandalorian military and naval forces. Now, decades later and after the fall of the war machine that was the Enclave, something new was happening.
The old alliance was rekindled.
And the non-Mandalorian military might of Hefi rose from its slumber as well.Things had devolved quickly in the Enclave.
Shortly after the reclamation campaign of old territory, the Jedi and the Alliance got involved to try and oppose the Mandalorians' reclamation. A war ensued, causing a lot of economic strain within Enclave space.
The Hefi military had aided the Enclave in its conquest of Alliance space, but it did not last as long as it should have due to criminal and Sith activity creeping back into the territory. Neither Hefi nor the Mandalorians could ignore the threat to the homefront and had withdrawn from the engagement with the Alliance to focus on cleaning up the territory.
Ever the selfish people, however, the Mandalorians fully withdrew from the rest of the territory not long after returning in order to safeguard its homeworld of Kestri, leaving the rest of the territory to fend for itself.
Hefi could not abide by the chaos that reigned supreme in the wake of the Enclave's recession from the rest of Wild Space. It was the only planet that still remained stalwart under the leadership of Vemric. The Sephi and the rest of his government decided that something had to be done to bring order back to Wild Space.Leaving a Council and a contingent of Marines to keep the order and prosperity of Hefi alive, Vemric and the rest of his delegation along with the might of the non-Mandalorian military force ventured into Wild Space to see what could be done.
Knowing that a strategic base was needed for the endeavour, the government and military based themselves on Christophsis. The planet welcomed them with open arms, among which was Hex Incorporated spearheaded by
Braxton Holst
. The corporation offered to be sole supplier to the endeavour, as their enterprise was also under threat.
With the added resources and private military, quick was made in the area, bringing true order and prosperity to planets like Rodia and Mon Gazza. With the government fully established, a new regime was created. A vote was held and subsequently, Vemric was crowned as Sovereign of Christophsis and those under its influence. The government was rebranded as the Parliament.
After meeting a strange religious order on the planet, a partnership was struck and a new name was given to the sovereignty - the Osyron Ascendancy. Throughout, they never lost sight of what they had set out to achieve - order.
The now newly minted Osyron Ascendancy with Vemric as its Sovereign redoubled its efforts to bring stability to the chaotic Wild Space as well as the rest of the Galaxy for, as long as chaos was allowed to reign and cause instability throughout the Galaxy, no one was safe.
It was Vemric and his Parliament's vision to see true stability in the Galaxy once and for all.
The next chapter within his life was about to take shape.

+Tactical - Vemric was born with quite the brain between his ears and, after a century of built-up wisdom, he had bred quite the eye for smart, tactical moves.
STRENGTHS
+Fast reflexes - Due to the Force he never knew he possessed, Vemric is quite fast and nimble with quick reflexes.
+Ambitious - To Vemric, the sky is not the limit when setting goals. He will always aim higher, pushing himself to reach it.
+Pilot - He may be in command of a flagship now, but he is still quite the pilot when he needs to be - his fast reflexes helping him a great deal in this regard.
+Bladesman - Vemric knows his way around a blade - be it knife or sword of any kind. He particularly enjoys dual-wielding two vibroswords.
+Perfectionist - Vemric does not believe in doing something halfway. If something is to be done, it's to be done right. His work is immaculate and error does not exist in Vemric's vocabulary.
+Protective - Those that serve under him as well as those placed under his protection, can rest assured that Vemric will stop at nothing to ensure their safety. It may not always be shown, but he cares deeply for those that are not strong enough to protect themselves.-Aloof - Vemric has a tendency to walk around with his nose in the air. He takes great pride in his heritage.

-Snarky - Vemric has quite the sarcastic personality and he's not afraid to show it.
-Icy - Vemric has quite the temper. The angrier he gets, the colder and snarkier he gets. He can leave a man feeling like a Geonotian worm once he's done with him.
-Perfectionist - His perfectionism can be an asset, but it can also be a burden. His drive for perfection can cause him to barrel over a lot of people. He's not always the best team-player, as he leaves someone behind if they can't keep up with his speed and wit.
-Heartbroken - His wife's death has left him devastated. It had taken him quite a while to get over it. He hopes to find love once again, but Maja's loss remains with him.
