Strengths:
  • Defense: Provided amazing protection to galaxy standard weapons like blasters, slugthrowers, and lightsabers
  • Advanced HUD: One of the most advanced features of Mandalorian armor, the HUD and helmet were equipped with a pineal eye sensor that allowed for near 360 degree target tracking of up to several dozen individual targets, included macrobinocular vision as well as various other types such as night, infrared, and heat among others.
  • Broadband Antenna: An antenna connected to the side of the helmet that could send signals to other Protectors, improved reception for coms, and interface with various personal ships.
  • Temperature Control and Filtration: Extreme temperatures mattered little for the environmental controls in the armor. The sealed suit also let them move and fight in the vacuum of space for extended periods of time and filtered out most toxins from gasses and atmospheres.
Weaknesses:
  • Lightsabers: Besides the chest and helmet, the rest of the armor is susceptible to lightsabers. Flexible joints were only guarded by blastproof leathers and could easily be cut as well.
  • Sonic: Almost no resistance to sonic weapons, hard or otherwise
  • Solar Ionization: The intense heat build-up from one of these weapons can eventually even melt through beskar
  • Stun Rounds: Like most armors, stun blasts do their job.
DESCRIPTION
Designed for use by the Mandalorian Protectors, the Phase 3 made use of a sleeker and less exposed design than typical Mandalorian armor. It had more in common with the armors of the Republic and Sith Empire and helped create a more uniform look for the Protectors. The uniformity was deemed necessary if the lawmen and women were to be treated seriously and not simply as a gang of mercenaries. Almost entirely black for Justice with blue stripes down the middle of the helmet and over the human heart for Reliability, the design invoked both fear and respect. Rank was displayed vertically down the blue stripe on the breastplate while other design choices such as Jaig Eyes and Clan or House insignia were placed in traditional locations on the armor.

While the armor was visually striking and imposing, it was the use of beskar that drew the eyes of most Mandalorians. Within Mandalorian society, criminality in their communities was usually low. However, the criminals that were active were often incredibly violent and deadly which necessitated extreme caution and made the Mandalorian Empire invest heavily in the survival of their Protectors. Beskar plates were used over the chest which protected vital organs such as the heart and lungs. A light and flexible beskar alloy was also used on the back plates which offered great protection from behind. Both the helmet and visor were also made of beskar alloys. The style of armor utilized less open space and instead opted to use flexible, yet durable materials like To Vhin leather in joints that unified the overlapped plates of Mandalorian Steel which left almost no gaps in coverage.

As far as systems in place, the Phase 3 armor utilized many of the same sensors and battle computer technology that Mandalorians used. Polarized viewports limited the effects of flash weapons, variable sight and vision modes allowed them to see in the dark or through smoke, and powerful battle computers aided in on-site investigations. Because the armor's main purpose was to protect law enforcement, it lacked Mandalorian Vambraces and instead opted for several small scanners, tools, holoprojectors, and non-lethal options such as a cable gun. The gauntlets also had a stun blaster equipped.

While heavier than most non-beskar Mandalorian armor, it was held in high regard by members of the Mandalorian Protectors. Provided by the Mandalorian Empire, the armor was often gifted to Protectors as an award for distinguished service which allowed them to make whatever modifications they wanted, save the colors. The armor would become a symbol of Mandalorian Justice throughout Mandalorian Space.

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Age: 54
  • Force Sensitivity: No
  • Species: Human
  • Appearance: Hawke was of average height with wide shoulders. Dark skin, a brown eye, and thick, black facial hair gave him a roguishly handsome look. An eyepatch adorned his left eye.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Hawke Braxis
  • Loyalties: Red Legion
  • Wealth: Extremely Wealthy. Hawke is the sole owner of the Red Legion, the mercenary company that holds the Feriae system. As such he benefits from taxes, off-world jobs, and other investments.
  • Notable Possessions:
    Two Mandalorian blaster pistols
  • Red Force Commando Armor

[*]Skills: An elite commando from the days of the Sith-Mandalorian war, Hawke was
[*]Personality: Hawke was a pragmatic and passionate man. Determined to protect his last station of command, he became a fierce and immovable person. Despite that, a public face of warmth and joy was often worn when dealing with off-worlders which gave the impression of a two-faced man with an extremely private life. He walked his own path and in his hubris forced his path onto the Feriae system.
COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Weapon of Choice: Blaster rifles and Mandalorian blaster pistols
  • Combat Function: Hawke was a capable soldier with half a century of military experience. An expert in everything from populace policing to performing orbital drops behind enemy lines, the pseudo-Mandalorian Commando held a wealth of knowledge. Since after he claimed leadership over the Feriae Junction system he took a less "boots on the ground" role and more of a commanding role, thus limiting experiences where he would find himself in direct fire.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Hawke was raised on Ord Mantell and joined the planet defense force at military age. His life was fairly uneventful until the arrival of the Mandalorians where he was heavily recruited by the Red Legion, a program which recruited non-Mandalorians into the Mandalorian military and utilized them as front line troops. As members of the Red Legion they were allowed to purchase land in the Mandalore System and even offered the chance and encouraged to become Mandalorians. After he joined he was placed under the command of Strider Garon for several years. When the Red Legion Commando unit was first formed, Hawke was recommended by Garon and joined their ranks. He would lose his eye in the battle for the Roche Asteroids and was then promoted to the highest rank one could achieve as a Red Legionnaire. After losing his eye and being promoted he was placed at New Junction and was given command of the base there and tasked with recruiting and training new Red Legionnaires.

However, after the great vanishing, Mandalore's influence dropped to a fraction of what it once was. Communications were lost and not long after the Second Mandalorian Excision occurred, leaving Junction completely in the dark. During these uncertain times Hawke took control of the system and strengthened Junction's boarders from would be invaders and opportunistic pirates. When it became clear the Mandalorians wouldn't be returning to the planet he staged a military coup of the local leadership and became the leader of Feriae Junction.

While radical and borderline tyrannical, Hawke has proved himself to be a capable leader and has indeed kept Junction safe.

[*]Company Submission: [If this organization is a company submitted through the Factory, provide the link to the Factory-approved submission here. If this company is to be a manufacturer in the Factory, a Factory-approved company submission is required.]

GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Organization Name: Mandalorian Engineering Corps and Tactical Operations
  • Classification: Mandalorian Organization
  • Loyalties: Mandalorian Empire
  • Organization Symbol: [If your organization has a sigil or logo, provide a picture or briefly describe what it looks like.
Description: The Mandalorian Engineering Corps and Tactical Operations group, or METO, was a combination of department of civil engineering, weapons engineers, smiths, and shipwrights. A branch of the Mandalorian Empire's executive departments it handled the upkeep and construction of new Mandalorian Imperial sponsored buildings. They focused mostly on restoring and rebuilding Mandalore during the early days of Yasha Mantis' rule as Mand'alor and served as architects and construction workers. They also manage the Mandalorian Empire's power plants, mines and mining rights, sewage and trash collection, and the monitoring of the Mandalorian Empire's teraforming technologies.

Other sub departments included weapons specialists, shipwrights, and smiths who worked in factories and shipyards owned by the Mandalorian Empire. Mandalorian companies were also made to include many of these workers in their factories. It was often part of contracts to subcontract these workers into private Mandalorian companies, which allowed the Mandalorian Empire to keep a close eye on its military investments. These sub departments often worked in space and thus was a vastly different experience to METO personnel planet-side.

METO was developed as an alternative to compulsory military service to youth within Mandalorian Space. As one of three options for youth once they turned 16, it was the option with the most growth potential as many of the workers who joined at a young age often found jobs in the private Mandalorian companies they were placed in after their compulsory 2 years were up. METO personnel also often stayed within METO past their 2 year service time or returned to their homeworlds and provided skilled labor at home. METO most often worked within the Mandalore system, but also saw use on Mandalorian colony worlds.

GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Hierarchy: METO is at the end of the day run by the Mand'alor, though day to day activities are monitored by supervisors and managers, similarly to a company. Mandalorians typically held managerial positions due but occasionally non-Mandalorians were in high up positions as well.
  • Membership: Compulsory to all peoples within Mandalorian Space once they came of age [16]. One of three choices.
  • Influence: Across the Mandalore Sector
  • Climate: METO is unabashedly pro-Mandalorian, however as it provides work to millions across Mandalorian Space it isn't necessarily looked at unfavorably most of the time. Mandalorians were encouraged to wear their beskar'gam or some symbol of their clan while working and were often thought to receive preferential treatment in the eyes of non-Mandalorians.
  • Reputation: Of the three options of the Compulsory Service Initiative, METO was often seen as the best. Its pay held higher ceilings than either the military or the arts, the working hours were more normal when compared to the galactic average, and the resumes and skills built up during time as part of METO were easy to utilize in other places. Out of the three it held the highest number of non-Mandalorians in service to the Empire. Some non-Mandalorians however despised it out of principle due to it being compulsory to their children, but it was generally seen as a necessary thing to live among the Mandalorian people.
  • Rules:
Compulsory: At the age of 16 (or species equivalent) one was to join either METO, UMMC, or MAAT.
  • Once joined a minimum of 2 years baring extreme disciplinary action or extreme injury is mandatory.
  • Other rules and regulations per sub-department

[*]Doctrines: [Describe the principles and tenets kept by this group in relation to rules/laws within it, religious beliefs, teachings and philosophies created by its leaders and kept by the people within it. This can include various aspects of a faith/religion, or rules to a club, laws of a mafia or guild, etc.]
[*]Goals:
  • To keep the infrastructure of Mandalore and its many systems maintained and in good working order
  • To provide shelter to the people of Mandalorian Space
  • To keep the UMMC armed and ready
  • To provide a means of work for those living in Mandalorian Space
  • To spread pro-Mandalorian rhetoric and adopt more into the clans of Mandalore

MEMBERS

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Mandalorian Engineering Corps and Tactical Operations group, or METO, was established during the rule of Mand'alor Yasha Mantis [Cadera]. In its infancy it was essentially a clean up crew cobbled together in the aftermath of the Seven Day War and the sudden disappearance of Ra Viszla. Tasked with rebuilding and restoring the planet. They worked tirelessly alongside private companies to patch the biodomes in white desert cities, clear mines, build new homes, and were instrumental in piecing back together the Mandalorian spirit. Unofficial at the time, METO became an official part of Yasha's rule during the early days of rearmament. During this time the role of METO shifted and also became the driving force behind ship production in the Mandalore System. Engineers were sent to bolster MandalMotors and other Mandalorian weapon and ship manufactures and the sub department even constructed and operated the massive solar shipyard of the Mandalorian Empire. Their position became integral to the safety and upkeep of both the civilians of Mandalore and its military and through deals with other large Mandalorian companies became the largest employer within all of Mandalorian Space.

ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • Slave-Rigged Systems
  • Internal CIC/Bridge
  • Slave-Rigged/Automated Internal Defenses
Strengths:
  • Firepower: With enough firepower to challenge a star destroyer or star defender, especially in pairs, the Dreadnought-class heavy cruiser was a fierce warship
  • Buried CIC: With its bridge and CIC buried deep within the ship, it was protected from direct attack.
  • Slave-Rigged: Many of the ship's systems were slave-rigged and automated which limited the necessary crew count and overall increased efficiency in combat.
Weaknesses:
  • Hangar: Regardless if the starfighter in use has a larger squadron count that standard(12), the cruiser can only hold 12 fighters.
  • Large Engine Housing: A large target with limited mobility, the engine housing not only held the engines, but also the hyperdrive. Unprotected it was a prime target for strike craft
  • Lack of Point Defense: While its heavy turbolasers and turbolaser turrets could be used to defend against fighters, the large weapons were too slow to do so effectively. A lack of point defense made the ship a playground for strike craft and their talented pilots.
  • Ion Weapons: Like any ship, capital grade ion weapons could disable the ship but could also shut down the automated slave-rigged systems.
Description: A marvel of starship engineering, the Dreadnought-class Heavy Cruiser was a ship utilized throughout the reign of the not so galactic Galactic Empire several years ago. After the faction was dismantled and scattered to the winds with the majority of its military joining that of the First Order, many of its ships and designs fell into the hands of shipwrights across the galaxy. One such ship was the Dreadnought-class Heavy Cruiser.

Modified for high levels of automation, the heavy cruisers would most notably serve Mantell Corp in the planet's defense force and protect shipping lanes. The refurbished, modified, and often repainted cruisers were sold across the galaxy by dozens of private shipyards to local planetary defense forces, pirate groups, and galaxy spanning governments.

Equipped with a variety of heavy and long range turbolaser batteries and missile launchers, the warship was among the heaviest armed cruisers in the galaxy, easily able to challenge Star Destroyers and Star Defenders in pairs. Heavy armor plating and powerful shields protected it from laser cannons and blaster cannons from starfighters. Both the cruiser's shields and slave-rigged systems could easily be disrupted and shut down from a barrage of capital grade ion weapons or a salvo of ion torpedoes from a fighter-bomber run. These were its greatest dangers in space combat as the cruiser had to rely on the skill of its escort fighters as the ship lacked any sort of point-defense. Coupled with its lackluster maneuverability it was the perfect target for small strike craft.

The small ventral hangar of the cruiser had housings for a total of 12 starfighters with space for a single small shuttle or troop transport for use in boarding actions. The hangar also had docking clamps for small corvettes and frigates for use in boarding actions and customs enforcement. The ship also had the capacity for 3 squads of troops as an anti-boarding measure. The Dreadnought-class heavy cruiser also had limited ability to fly in atmosphere but could not land. This meant it could be used in fire support missions or facilitate the use of jump shocktroopers.

A powerful cruiser and force to be reckoned with, the Dreadnought-class heavy cruiser MkII was a ship that any ship captain would have been wise to take caution when approaching in combat.

  • Advanced HUD
    Pineal Eye Sensor
  • Advanced Target Tracker
  • Weapon Monitoring
  • Multi-Vision Visor
  • Macrobinocular Visor

Strengths:
  • Versatility: Mandalorian Phase 1 armor was flexible and modular which allowed the soldiers wearing it to have their armor modified per the mission or job they were assigned to. Pilots could easily equip life support modules, soldiers could easily attach a repulsor pack or jetpack for air drops, and the variety of magnetic hardpoints allowed for easy travel with large amounts of specialized equipment.
  • Sealed for Vacuum: While the suit itself didn't come with life support, the armor was temperature controlled and came with a supply of oxygen (or whatever the species wearing the armor breathed) to survive in vacuum for a short period of time. It also protected the wearer from harsh contaminants and gasses, though filters had to be active for that benefit.
  • Protection: While the armor itself wasn't anything special when it came to blasters (early data suggested that 77% of soldiers survived standard blaster shots to the torso), the armor was much better protected against ballistic assaults with even a headshot from a Verpine shatter rifle or similar coil rifle only causing sever concussions.
Weaknesses:
  • Stun Rounds: As with most armor, stun rounds work as intended.
  • Sonic: The exotic and largely non-utilized sonic weapons could deal incredible damage to soldiers in this armor.
  • Lightsaber: Like a hot knife through bantha butter
  • Exposed: The duraplast plates were not spread across the wearer in a way that provided total protection and in fact provided much less protection than contemporary armor.
DESCRIPTION
Developed for the masses after Mand'alor Yasha Cadera instituted compulsory service to the Empire to youth within its boarders, the Phase I armor was made to create uniformity in an otherwise unorganized militia of Mandalorian clans. The armor was made to mimic classic and telltale Mandalorian armor designs and technologies and was given to non-Mandalorians who joined Imperial military service.

Phase I armor utilized several plates made from a light-weight duraplast composite that was placed over a temperature controlled body suit. The duraplast plates while light could disperse lethal amounts of energy from blaster bolts, lessening the injury when combined with the bodyglove worn behind the plates. On their own the plates were capable of withstanding powerful slugthrowers and coilgun rounds, though the armor didn't properly protect the wearer from the resulting force, which often left the wearer with bruises, fractures and broken bones, and internal bleeding but kept the wearer alive. The central chest piece operated as a sort of magnetic plate carrier as well which allowed ammo belts, weapons, and other equipment to be stored without worry. The armor came standard with a jetpack for the individual soldier to take care of and maintain as well for high-altitude operations.

The helmet sported a stylized T-shaped visor which offered great visibility as well as automatic protection from glare and sudden flashes. The visor had multiple vision modes and expanded awareness of the battlefield via its advanced HUD. While not as advanced and extensive as many Mandalorian helmets, it offered an advantage not often seen in galactic standard HUDs in its clarity. Filtration systems were and a small supply of breathable gas was easily accessible to external life support systems, though filtration systems had to be activated in a toxin free or purged helmet.

Though the armor's seemingly excessive exposure and gaps between plate coverage was ridiculed by many member planets, the Mandalorian designers saw it as a challenge to their soldiers to not get hit and to defeat their enemies sooner. Users of the armor also found the exposure freeing and left Mandalorian soldiers more nimble than many of their contemporaries. The armor could be modified for desert, jungle, and winter extremes, though excessive sand and moister in helmet filters often left the helmets uncomfortable and less functional which made such deployments less than pleasant. The armor itself was so popular that it was even adopted by many Mandalorians outside of the military for regular use.

Weaknesses:
  • Imperial Design: Exposed bridge tower
  • Poor Maneuvering: The Keldabe Type IV had poor manueverability
  • No Point Defense: While the the Keldabe Type IV had an impressive array of weapons, it relied on its small starfighter compliment and escorts in battle.
Description: Developed in the shadow of war and riding on the curtails of the Crusader-Class Battlecruiser, the Keldabe Type IV was a cutting edge battlecruiser constructed by MandalMotors for the Mandalorian Imperial Navy. After years of development, the battlecruiser was meant to replace and directly compete with pseudo battlecruisers like the Mandalorian Star Destroyer and Gragatus-Class Dreadnought. However, the sudden growth of the Mandalorian Imperial Navy required many of its predecessors to remain in service. Instead the Type IV Keldabe-Class Battlecruiser was adopted by the Mandalorian Admiralty as flagships for Mandalorian Battlegroups.

Several kilometers larger than its direct predecessor, it dwarfed the Type 3 Keldabe-Class Battleship. The large space frame was unique but functional. The bow of the massive vessel was shaped like a hatchet, evoking the harsh and aggressive designs of older Mandalorian designs like the Kandosii-Type Dreadnoughts and the Guardian-Class corvettes. The wedge shape housed numerous concussion missile tubes and flex-tube ordinance launchers. Two hangars on the port and starboard hull offered the battlecruiser some flexibility in its fighter compliment while a third hangar placed between the engine housing was typically reserved for advanced starfighters. A large ventral hangar was equipped with docking clamps and powerful tractor beams which were used to capture smaller capital ships like corvettes and small frigates but was also used to house the bulk of the ground assault walkers and dropships. This hangar was connected to the ship's barracks which could house legions of Mandalorians.

The stern of ship ballooned outward into what was essentially a massive gun platform for hundreds of heavy turbolaser and ion cannon emplacements. The hull was a tiered superstructure both the dorsal and ventral portions which allowed a massive range of turbolaser and ion cannon fire. Missile pods dotted structure as well though it lacked the iconic and archaic spinal mass driver cannon.

Needles to say, the crew requirements for this vessel were enormous. A large portion of the embarked crew as a result were droids. Maintenance droids, astromechs, medical droids, and security droids were employed throughout the ship to help supplement.

  • Limited Firing Arcs: The firing arc of the heavy turbolaser cannons was limited to forward facing, boradside, or up for the single turbolaser on the ventral hull.
  • Poor Maneuverability: The Teroch-Class flew like a brick and often had to rely on its powerful shields rather than avoiding direct attacks.
Description: Centered around old Mandalorian naval doctrines, the Teroch-Class Assault Frigate was a powerful barrier in space. Originally designed for MandalMotors, the Teroch-Class was meant for internal use of the company in order to defend investments throughout the galaxy. The ship fell into service with the Mandalorian Empire after the Mand'alor ended her relationship with the Sith Emperor in a violent fashion, which saw tensions rise between the two Outer Rim nations. While all out war with the Sith Juggernauts was still a far flung fear, the Mandalorian Empire began consolidating their naval forces shortly thereafter and as a result the Teroch-Class became another cog in the Mandalorian naval machine.

Four hundred meters long and ninety meters across, the Teroch-class was meant to act in groups. Utilizing its powerful shields and heavy armor plating, it was able to take a substantial amount of damage at the head of a formation and act as a bulwark for a friendly fleet. The armament of the Teroch-Class was also designed to function as part of a larger formation. With five huge forward facing heavy turbolaser cannons it was able to lay down an impressive amount of firepower, especially when in a line or blockade which helped to create a lethal crossfire and deal an impressive amount of damage to large warships over a short time. The cannons had limited mobility, but could could face for broadside assaults and the single ventral turbolaser could fire up, should vessels attempt to engage at short range. Also doted across the surface of the vessel were 5 quad laser cannons for use against smaller capital vessels and starfighters. Despite its powerful weapons, its poor maneuverability and lack of a true fighter complement left it vulnerable to more agile vessels or when caught out of formation.

The secondary purpose, and one of the reasons the vessel was chosen for service in the Mandalorian armada, was its ability to function as a super heavy troop deployment craft. Originally designed as an armored transport for various goods and starship parts, its interior space was heavily modified to accommodate large amounts of troops and armor. With its powerful shields and large landing gear, it was able to make planet-fall in hostile territory and deploy its embarked battalion. These troops were supported by mechanized units which were all stored aboard the vessel in its vast storage bay. These included speeder bikes, AT-AE walkers, deactivated DX-Series Battle droids, I'dadr-Class Bes'uliik, Meteor-Class M Carriers, and various other heavy ordinance. With its extensive cargo bays and integrated barracks, the vessel could make for a makeshift forward operations facility.

Untested and with a long service life ahead, the Teroch-Class assault frigate had an important role to fill. It would go on to serve the Mandalorians in future wars until its retirement.

DESCRIPTION
While gathered intelligence on the ever growing First Order remained limited to the relatively uninterested Galactic North, Mandalorian intrigue had reached the point of violence. A Mandalorian raid on the First Order manufacturing city of Kilaado provided the Mandalorians several designs that had yet to reach production within the authoritarian nation.

The All Terrain Assault Enforcer, or AT-AE, was one such design. Dubbed the Ape Lizard by the Mandalorians, the AT-AE was a large quadrupedal assault walker designed to crush enemy lines through intense firepower and unwavering durability. The four feet of the AT-AE were equipped with powerful mechanical grips that could solidify its place in a variety of terrain when firing its main gun. Though its feet were also magnetized, this was actually a safety feature and not one for utility use as despite its nickname, the AT-AE's legs were not designed to scale fortifications and cliffs. Large sloped reinforced sheets of heavy Mandalorian Steel armor plating kept frontal assaults from assaulting the walker's weaker hind legs which were important for pin point accuracy of the main gun. It also helped the walker act as a bulwark and defender of the armies behind it.

The walker took a crew of six to realize its full potential. In addition to its control crew, the large rear compartment of the walker could hold 36 troops in total while the remaining space could be used to hold many deactivated battle droids and smaller bes'uliik. The AT-AE was armed with a high yield mass driver cannon fixed to an adjustable, telescopic turret. This weapon fired an energized projectile rather than a particle blast which allowed the weapon to be used against both Ray and Particle shields as well as pierce through thick armor or fortifications. The weapon was supported by three forward facing heavy laser cannons, an underbelly blaster cannon, and an open air roof mounted laser cannon turret. These weapons would allow the walker to hit targets too close to hit with the main gun while the open air laser cannon turret protected it from the skies, though at substantial risk to the gunner.

At a maximum moving speed of 75 Km/h, the AT-AE could just as easily trample its enemies as it could blast them, decimating infantry units without breaking pace. Mandalorian AT-AEs were also sometimes utilized as a forward operating gun platform for advanced scouts. Utilizing I'dadr-class bes'uliik to scout ahead. The rear troop compartment also had a long range holographic comunications system which allowed troops to send and receive orders from the front line and act as miniature command posts. The AT-AE was comprised of two decks. The command deck offered the greatest view of the battlefield and was where the main gunner station was. The second deck was where the driver and alternative weapons systems were located. This deck was also connected to the troop transport in the rear and held small amounts of supplies and the holographic strategy table.

Unlike many large walkers, the AT-AE was built with a low center of gravity, which prevented it from being toppled over or defeated by using cable traps. The AT-TE was built around a single point of articulation, which combined with its nearly fixed front legs gave the walker an incredibly wide turning radius and caused it to turn incredibly slowly, making it often a better course of action to trample through obstacles and hope for the best. The armor plating of the AT-TE was made to conduct the heat of energy blasts, evenly distributing it throughout. This left it unassailable by infantry weapons outside of heavy rockets. Even laser cannons had a difficult time punching through the armor. It was hardened against ion blasts and electroconductively sealed to allow the vehicle to pass through hostile shield bubbles if approached at low speeds. That being said, the underbelly of the walker was incredibly vulnerable and unarmored, as were the exposed servos and joints of its hind legs. Powerful mines and concentrated laser cannon fire on its hind leg's joints would cripple the walker, leaving it unable to move or turn.

The utilization of the walker within the Mandalorian military was seen as some to be a sign of weakness, taking designs from other nations and utilizing them as their own. However, mock battles and extensive testing saw to the silencing of such sentiments and the AT-AE would become an essential part of Mandalorian ground combat in future wars and skirmishes.
