Strengths:
  • Beskar reinforced weak points
  • Compartmentalized Design
Weaknesses:
  • Exposed Bridge Tower: Though the bridge tower is reinforced with beskar and its viewports were replaced with the metal, it is still extraordinarily exposed end relatively undefended from starfighters
  • Escort Necessary: Utilized as a troop transport, the Shaadlar-Type troop ship lacks the firepower to seriously fight off anything larger than a cruiser and even small flotillas of frigates and corvettes can easily destroy the ship when its alone due to its limited of firepower.
  • No Fighter Screen: Despite its impressive hangar bay, the Shaadlar only utilized troop transports and basilisk war droids which were suspended on a large rotating magnetic rack.
Description: Originally designed nearly 1000 years ago by Rothana Heavy Engineering, the renamed and heavily modified Shaadlar-type troop ship takes its name from a much smaller Mandalorian ship with the same purpose. Made for the transport of the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars, many of these ships would continue to see service into the age of the Empire. However, towards the end of the Clone Wars as Clone Troopers realized their sins after Order 66 many clone units returned to their ancestral home of Mandalore, specifically to Kyrimorut, the home of then Clan Skirata. Along with many of the starfighters, transports, weapons, and armor of the Grand Army, many clone troopers managed to wrestle control of their ships away from their new Imperial overlords, returning to Mandalore with a bounty of ships. Among those ships were the Acclamator-class assault ships. Utilized by Clan and later House Skirata as colony ships, mobile logistics bases, and military transports the ships continued to serve under the influential Mandalorian House and underwent several refits and modifications to keep the ship up to date and usable. After House Skirata gained de facto ownership and leadership over MandalMotors, the company began utilizing the ships as well utilizing and customizing them for a variety of roles.

In the modern age, the few remaining Shaaldar-type troop ships have undergone a modernization which saw the implementation of compartmentalized internal design as well as replacing the outer hull of the ship with Mandalorian Steel over its original neutronium-impregnated hull. Turbolasers and engines had been brought to modern standards and the amount of space afforded in the original design allowed for larger reactors for newer engines. Due to the fact that House Skirata did not constitute an entire military force by itself and the ships were relatively low priority when compared with ships like the Alor-class, various destroyers, and the , the Legacy-class, the ships had to be equipped with slave circuitry, allowing ships to be highly automated, limiting the crew cost of the vessel. The single hangar of the ship was essentially a large blast door located on the belly of the ship with a large rotating rack suspended above the gate which held the various gunships and basilisk war droids used on the ship. Large troop barracks made up the bulk of the ship's carrying capacity, essentially making it a mobile military base and was able to carry thousands of troops into battle at once. Its sophisticated landing gear also allowed it to land on most terrain, unlike many ships of its size. Its ability to land made it able to be utilized as an artillery station in combat as well.

The command bridge, though dangerously exposed, allowed for commanders to see their surroundings which was especially helpful during land assaults. When under combat protocols however, the massive windows were shielded by reinforced beskar plating and their surroundings were simulated on advanced holoscreen terminals generated from an impressive array of sensors, communications relays, and advanced cameras. At the aft of the starship lie the ship's engines. The large, tail-like superstructure separating the two sets of engines housed the massive hyperdrive that made it possible for the ship to travel so quickly across hyperspace. Alongside the engines it is exposed, though armored by beskar. Despite this, most of the ship's weapons are located in the trenches and front of the ship, leaving it and its engines undefended.

Ferrying supplies, personnel, vehicles, and anything else one could think of, the Shaaldar-type cruisers would become ubiquitous with Skirata military tactics and would be the face of MandalMotors' security and logistics teams for many years still to come. Ironically, hundreds of years after they served during the Clone Wars, these refitted Acclamators would once again ferry thousands of clones across the Galaxy after MandalMotors' security and logistics teams began heavy investment into Clone labor.

Strengths:
  • MandalMotors on the Go: With the ability to work on, oversee, and remotely access the millions of files that make up MandalMotors' day to day, Zeke is always able to access to MandalMotors' vast information network and is always ready to work.
  • Fast Tank: While not designed for a combat role, the K'uur is far from defenseless. While the beskar was used mostly as a show of Mandalorian heritage and wealth, it provides excellent defense against most weapons. The armor plating combined with the ship's robust shield system and its powerful weapons suite makes the K'uur dangerous when backed into a corner
  • Stealth Suite: While not publicly known, the K'uur is equipped with an advanced stealth system based off of years of research at Location 6, allowing it to slip in and out of sensitive MandalMotors locations or meetings discretely.
Weaknesses:
  • Skeleton Crew: With only the barest minimum crew due to the sensitivity of the work that goes on both aboard the ship and at its frequent destinations, the K'uur is staffed with enough people to fly and maintain the ship's systems lowering its combat effectiveness when compared to ships of similar size and armament ratings.
  • Automated Crew: With much of the crew being automated including some of its internal defenses, powerful EMPs wreck the ship and Ion weapons are a constant danger
  • Lover not a Fighter: This is not a war ship. While it is outfitted like one to fight back in dire situations, the ship itself would be in bad shape if it ever entered a battle by itself.
  • Unable to utilize weapons while cloaked
Description: Based on the design of the Kestrel-Class corvette from Ashearth industries, the K'uur was refitted to the specifications of Zeke Farthen, CEO of MandalMotors. Designed as his personal vessel and as a sort of mobile office and living space, the heavily modified Kestrel-Class doubled as the flagship of MandalMotors' corporate fleet. While no where near the largest ship in production or even within the vast corporate fleet of MandalMotors, the K'uur was special in that it was equipped with one of MandalMotors' advanced stealth field generators and dozens of advanced automation systems, which allowed it to function with the lowest possible amount of souls on board. Powerful weapons told pirates and would be raiders that the ship was not to be trifled with and powerful engines kept it ahead of would be assailants.

While the exterior and weapons were impressive, the interior of the ship is where it truly shines. Fully connected with all of Zeke's business contacts, MandalMotors data streams, and other sensitive MandalMotors data, the ship was a treasure trove of knowledge. It also held a large engineering room where Zeke and other guest engineers could tinker and brainstorm ideas for the company. While not a practical space to test ships, it was the perfect space to try out concept engines, prototype droids, and experimental weapons and tech. This room took up almost an entire deck and included a hangar big enough for one or two fighters, separate from the main hangar. The rest of the deck was comprised of Zeke's personal suite, a luxurious guest suite, and a large meeting room complete with Concordian Cedar floors and an ornate Ori'ramikad tree desk. A stuffed dragon bear among other impressive hunting trophies give the room character and alluded to the CEO's love of hunting.

Other decks of the ship include medical rooms, the crew's quarters which were also quite luxurious for an ex-warship, great cafeteria, exercise rooms, film screening areas, and training areas to keep the crew sharp and entertained. Only employees with Zeke's full faith and trust served on this vessel and with a loyal crew and amazing specifications, the K'uur was one of Zeke Farthen's greatest accomplishments.

Description: Constructed sometime during the Clone Wars and heavily modified for centuries, the Legacy-Class Battlecruiser is a testament to Skirata heritage and the clan's history. Originally constructed as Praetor Mk. I Battlecruisers prior to the Clone Wars, these ships served the Galactic Republic for hundreds of years before being slowly shut down and stored in the wake of the Praetor II utilized by the Galactic Empire. Clones that returned to Mandalore and took on the Skirata name knew of these storage facilities and less than a dozen were stolen from abandoned Imperial Storage facilities sometime after the Battle of Endor. The ships were returned to Mandalore and served as colony ships for House Skirata for hundreds of years, slowly being modified and changed as the decades and centuries moved on. Many of these ships would see battle all the way through the Mandalorian Pirate Wars, however most of these ships unfortunatley have been decommissioned and laid to rest, now serving as small cities on Mandalore's surface. The few remaining were lucky enough to remain operable until advancements in technology were so vast that they were able to be restored faithfully and continue serving House Skirata's fleet, though their numbers have dwindled to less than half.

Heavily modified, the ancient design was originally what the Venator-Class star destroyer would be based off of. As such they have a similar shape and share many design qualities such as the massive dorsal hangar, though rather than running the length of the ship like on the Venator, it only ran a quarter of the bow's length. This still allowed it to dump a massive amount of fighters quickly, but left the interior of the ship vulnerable to attack while the doors were open. Rather than the two command towers typical on later Republic warships, the ship that would become the Legacy-Class battlecruiser instead had a single bridge which was connected to a greater superstructure where vital systems such as powerful shield generators and point defense controls. Once modified by the Mandalorians, the newly christened Legacy-class battlecruisers also sported beskar armor plating on the command tower and connecting superstructure, making what would normally be a vulnerability, one of the safest places on the ship. The newer retrofitted models currently in service also had the added benefit of the now standard compartmentalized structure that allowed the ship to sustain full perforation during battle and survive to fight another day.

Despite the advancements in technology that allowed the last few remaining vessels to plug along into the new galaxy, many of the techniques used to build the ship were severely outdated by modern ship standards. Sometimes this was to the point where systems could not be removed or modified and could only be kept running. One such place were the engines. Incredibly small by modern standards, the engines were constructed in such a way that removing them or changing their power output caused various systems of the ship to shut down completely. As a result these vessels were still utilizing Clone Wars era engines even after the Gulag Plague making them substantially slower than even modern Super Stardestroyers. The power system also proved to be finicky, forcing the Mandalorians who called these ships home to learn how to modulate the ship's power so as to not cause ship wide system failures. They hyperdrives were also heavily modified during the Clone Wars era, likely due to the Ruusan Reformation, which saw greatly reduced hyperdrive range. Being as old as it is, each Legacy-class had different quirks and problems that it needed to deal with, including the personality. Each ship during the clone wars was equipped with individual AI to aid in ship maintenance and weapon function as prior to the commission of the Clone Army, the Republic had been short handed. These AI have all developed personalities as their memory wipes weren't always fully completed either due to lack of knowledge or simply because their technology was too different now.

Despite these hardships, the few remaining ships in active service were loved by many and the ones that remained as townships on Mandalore home. The few remaining serve both House Skirata and ManalMotors as command ships or mobile bases.

SETTING INFORMATION
  • City Name: Kyrimorut
  • Classification: Urban Village
  • Location: Mandalore
  • Affiliation: House Skirata
  • Demographics: 90% Mandalorian; 5% Non-Mandalorian; 5% Droid
  • Wealth: Medium
  • Stability: High
  • Description: Built into the side and around an ancient veshok trees and surrounded by a mixed forest of veshok and taung war oak, Kyrimorut is a large village, bordering on the classification of a town, that has been the home of most Manda'yaim born members of House Skirata. The village sits on a wide lake, made wider by the new river created after the Cataclysm and utilized the massive tree as a stable foundation for many of the buildings. Scattered around the ground and near the lake were fisheries, farms, and rice patties while along the trunk and roots of the massive tree were various shops and homes built on top and around each other in a large cluster. From the outside the village looks rather small, however there are various entrences into the actual trunk of the tree which leads to a variety of tunnels, turbolifts, and even trams, some of which lead to the opposite side of the tree which is where a large ground side hangar resides. The hangar doubles as a small spaceport and the House Skirata militia base. The trunk also houses medical facilities, various armories and even more homes, shops, and smithies. Due to its compact nature Kyrimorut has the activity level of a small city, but is also the kind of place where everyone knows everyone and word travels fast.
POINTS OF INTEREST
Port Skirata: A large hangar and barrack where House Skirata keeps most of its militia gear. It doubles as a small spaceport. Security here is heaviest. An armory, a two tiered hangar and tarmac, barracks, first aid center, and training yard overlooked Lake Kad'ika and was on the opposite side of the lake to Kyrimorut proper. It took about five minutes to get from Kyrimorut proper to the small base.
The Fallen: Three large beskar slab that has been worn over the centuries. It was originally put up by the members of House Skirata to remember the various mercenaries and soldiers that had fought and died for Mandalore during wars long past. Every once in a while married couples came here to chose a name for their child or engrave the name of a loved one on its crowded surface. Some have called for a new slab to be added since the end of the Gulag Plague and the Mandalorian Resource Wars. It overlooks the Lake Kad'ika and Kyrimorut from a small cliff nearby. Each slab is adorned with an inscription that reads, Rejorhaa'ruetiise meg'oyacyi jorcu mhi r'asham—"Tell the aruetiise that they lived because we died."
Kyrimorut: The original Vheh'yaim constructed by Kal Skirata and his clan during the Clone Wars. It is used mostly as a meeting place for House Elders and other important events such as Verd'gotten celebrations, memorials, weddings, and important holidays. It still remains functioning, though many of the old underground wings have caved in. It is mostly used by House Skirata's militia and is kept restored by Clan Skirata proper as their ancestral home. It was custom for the leader of House Skirata to move into the aging home with their family.
Lake Kad'ika: Named for Venku Skirata's nickname, "Little Saber", lake Kad'ika is the large lake that Kyrimorut was constructed near. It was a popular place for fishing and was home to several lake houses, including one owned by Clan Skirata. Despite its proximity to Kyrimorut, it was a popular vacation destination for Mandalorians in the village as well as Mandalorians from the closest settlements, Enceri and Ka'Pruni. It wasn't uncommon to see young Mandalorians dueling over the waters on their Bes'uliik.

SECURITY
It hosts a small militia, like most Mandalorian villages and towns across Mandalore. As a warrior people, most towns and homesteads were built to withstand assaults for days with Kyrimorut being no different. While there aren't automated turrets around, the spaceport opposite to the lake, known as Port Skirata, held a sizable military force as far as militias went with more than a dozen fighters and transports. While technically not in Kyrimorut proper, it was close enough that should things go badly they could be deployed to help protect their home. While all of the citizens aren't soldiers, for most of their lives there was some sort of mandatory military service whether it had been as part of the Mandalorian military or as part of Kyrimorut's militia. While they might be farmers and fishermen now don't expect them to simply scamper away in fear in an assault. Kyrimorut was their home, and they would die to protect it. A HAS military shield from Port Skirata is also near enough that it also protects the village.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Originally constructed hundreds of years ago by Kal Skirata and his small clan of Mandalorians, escaped Jedi, and defected Imperial clones, the modest settlement was a nearly self-sufficient homestead that held less than one thousand people. Over the years as the clan gained more and more influence, especially after the clan rule of Venku Skirata, Kyrimorut grew to be a large village. A tree that had been planted as a way to remember fallen loved ones would grow over the centuries into one of the largest veshok trees on Mandalore. It would become home to House Skirata and the many clans that served under its banner. While no where near as large as cities or towns such as Ka'pruni, Keldabe, or Sundari, Kyrimorut had its own charm. Once a place for misfits and military deserters, it had grown into a thriving and important part of the Mandalorian community. After Mia Monroe and Ijaat Mereel set the planet on a course of self destruction, Kyrimorut was nearly lost. Fires spread around the forest that had surrounded the village for centuries and even changed the flow of water, which made Lake Kad'ika even larger than before. Floods, fire, and famine ran through Kyrimorut. Like many Mandalorians after the event, they left, abandoning their home.

Upon their return just prior to the Civil War they were greeted with flooded and burned down homes. Gilamar elected to have a large area cleared on the opposite end of the lake and put up barracks for people to live and find their loved ones as reconstruction began on Kyrimorut. However, reconstruction stopped during the Civil War and wouldn't resume until after where Dorn Skirata assumed the position of Alor. Completing Port Skirata and revitalizing the village were probably the only two good things Dorn oversaw during his short time as Alor before the position was given back to Gilamar reluctantly. The village was still split after the Civil War, and especially after it became common knowledge that Gilamar had indeed survived the war. While many of House Skirata had elected to live with him and a large flotilla in Outer Rim Coalition space after the Civil War, many had stayed either by choice or fear of Dorn Skirata. With Gilamar's return an uneasy presence took hold of the village. Some proposed they should remain loyal to the Mandalorian Empire and its Mand'alor Yasha Mantis, while others would rather stay out of the business of Mandalore until things became clearer. Gilamar, despite being alive, still had not returned to Mandalore either which put doubt in the many minds of Kyrimorut.

  • Population: Small
  • Accessibility: Not hidden, heavily guarded
  • Description: Originally a field of veshok trees, during Mia Monroe and Ijaat Mereel's terrorist attack which left much of Mandalore in ruin, the trees were burned out. After returning to a destroyed Mandalore the field was leveled out which made room for a long tarmac, hangar, barracks, and training ground for a House Skirata militia to replace the barracks lost in the attack. It was pretty generic by Mandalorian standards with its only interesting feature being the older fighters, walkers, and bes'uliik the base had on hand when compared to the Mandalorian military proper, with some of its oldest ships being hundreds of years old such as the Clone Wars era LAATs that were used to ferry people back and forth between Port Skirata and Kyrimorut.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The newest building of Kyrimorut, Port Skirata was a large tarmac hangar which functioned as House Skirata's main militia base of operations. While Kyrimorut had small Vhey'yaims scattered around it for the militia to use, a proper military base was needed after the original one was destroyed after Mia Monroe and Ijaat Mereel set Mandalore ablaze. Its construction began just prior to the Civil War and was completed under Alor Dorn Skirata. Its position allowed Mandalorian soldiers to quickly fly to Kyrimorut in the event of invasion or serious emergency while also being separate from the village, offering more space to train and run combat drills in the veshok tree forests that surrounded Lake Kad'ika and Kyrimorut. The land that it was built on was owned by House Skirata but never cultivated until the base was built.

  • Population: Heavily Staffed
  • Accessibility: Parts of the shipyard are wide open to the public such as MandalMotors Museum where other locations such as MandalMotors Primary are locked down to MandalMotors staff and some government and company officials for meetings. Occasionally universities obtain permission to tour the main facility as well as the press, but in general the collection of shipyards are heavily patrolled by MandalMotors security teams including MMARCs, clone security, and Mandalorians hired by MandalMotors' security team.
  • Description: A massive orbital array of shipyard stations and fleet command stations. It sits in Mandalore's orbit some distance between its two moons. While the original orbital shipyards were much closer to Mandalore originally, recent military and defense operations pushed the array of stations further out. One of the largest shipyard operations in the Outer Rim, it stood as a testament to Mandalorian ingenuity. Constructed from a variety of Vencuyot I and II-type stations as well as MandalMotors Primary, the large cluster of stations if put together would have been large enough to encircle Mandalre fully.

POINTS OF INTEREST

MandalMotors Museum: A testament to Mandalorian shipbuilding and space travel, the MandalMotors museum was a two part museum. The main section of the museum was on an active Vencuyot II shipyard station where starfighters were mass produced by MandalMotors, making it one of the lowest security stations in the orbital array. Part of the station was converted into a large museum dedicated to not only the history of MandalMotors, but also the history of space flight and naval warfare in general. Large scale and decommissioned ships from as far back as the Clone Wars were displayed, though often the descriptions were single sentences or theories due to the loss of information during the Gulag Plague. Because of this, many historians view the place as little more than a children's place to wonder at the marvel of ships rather than a place of actual historical learning. The second part of the museum was aboard a decommissioned Ash'amur I-Class Mandalorian dreadnought that saw action during the Mandalorian war with the Old Sith Empire. Cleaned, refitted, and given a fresh coat of paint, the ship was rechristened the "Ba'buir" and made into a functioning museum. Because it was still a fully functional warship, much of the ship was roped off for the safety of the passengers. The Ba'buir was also mobile and had several scheduled voyages between various shipyard stations in MandalMotors' orbital array, offering one of a kind views of ships as they passed back and forth. Once a month they also hosted a mock battle where the viewports would display simulated battles which allowed patrons to sit in the cockpit of Mandalorian starfighters or at the controls of a turbolaser and blow up enemies from wars past.

MandalMotors Primary: The primary station of the MandalMotors orbital array, MandalMotors Primary held dry dock bays a number of capital ships and dozens of starfighter production facilities. As the main shipyard, security was heaviest here and often saw Mandalorian Empire inspection teams as part of its regular security force. Like many of MandalMotors installations, MandalMotors primary had a heavy clone presence and was thus avoided by angry Mandalorians and was generally buzzing with cheap tabloid holomagazine companies who were attempting to get some sort of nasty story on MandalMotors' use of clones over Mandalorian workers. Its tripple U-shape and the massive drydock that was used to construct the Preserver-Class Super Dreadnought were its biggest attractions when tours were given. Three fleet control stations in each of the U shaped extensions which coordinated with Task Force Nova and Fireteam Vorpan directly to secure the station in the event of an assault.

MandalMotors FLEETCOM: MandalMotors FLEETCOM was an array of strategically placed fleet control stations around MandalMotors' orbital array. They often worked hand in hand with the Mandalorian Empire's planetary fighter bases due to the fighter bases' proximity to MandalMotors' orbital array. Each station was in charge of its own small task force of combat ready ships as well as one MMARC unit. Its main goal was to protect all MandalMotors assets, patrons, and workers with its secondary goal to aid in the defense of Mandalore should it fall under attack.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Originally an entirely ground based operation, MandalMotors has grown exponentially since direct control of the company fell into the hands of Gilamar Skirata around 836 ABY. While the company had been somewhat influenced by House Skirata, it had been many years since one had been acting CEO of the company. Under the leadership of Gilamar Skirata, they cemented themselves as one of the premier Shipyards in the Mandalore Sector and even as younger shipwrights ArmaTech Industries and equally old Mandal Hypernautics began eating up the market share, MandalMotors still held on to its pride as one of the largest shipwrights in the Mandalore Sector. After the successful launch of its Vencuyot I shipyard platforms, the first space bound shipyard in over a millennium, the company took off, which allowed it to produce larger and better ships than ever before. The orbital array grew steadily over the years and became an important landmark in the Mandalore System.

After Mandal Hypernautics crumbled under the weight of supporting Mandalore and Arma Tech moved during the Civil War, MandalMotors shipyards had once again become the main shipyard facility in the Mandalore Sectore. After years of functioning in the shadows of those two mega corporations MandalMotors was forced to fill the shoes of those two companies. Under Zeke Farthen's guidance the company developed two new shipyard stations, much larger than the previous Vencuyot I, and the orbital yards moved slightly further away from Mandalore proper opting for a lunar orbit instead after it was attacked during the Civil War. Fleet control stations were installed and a massive amount of Vencuyot II and I stations were tugged into place alongside MandalMotors Primary. The massive array of stations in Mandalore's orbit was impressive and quickly became recognized as one of the largest privately owned and operated shipyards in the Outer Rim, second only to Vanir Tech's Foundry. Its impressive output brought in business from across the Galaxy as MandalMotors rented the rights to use various portions of the array out to other companies which helped put Mandalore on the map again economically.

Unfortunatley, after the Civil War and the terrible natural disasters that wrecked havoc on the planet, the population of Mandalore dropped significantly which forced MandalMotors to utilize a different source of labor where traditionally they had hired almost exclusively Mandalorian. Too large now to keep its source of labor strictly Mandalorian, the company began to use clone soldiers from various companies to fill the gaps in security and logistics positions. This has brought backlash on the company from some of the Mandalorian people which has made security on the array tight and heavy due to constant bomb threats from extremist groups.

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create a droid Secretary character for Zeke and flesh out some of the main crew of the K'uur, Zeke's personal flagship
  • Image Credit: "Female Android" by Sinate
  • Role: Aide, Escort, and Bodyguard
  • Links: MandalMotors
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Age: Less than 10 years old by 851 ABY
  • Model: BD-4000 Model F Luxury Droid
  • Appearance: Attractive in a very traditional sense, Van is of the latest model of Pleasure Droids from the Zeltros-based company Luxuria Creatio. Customized more for Zeke's own preferences she holds a shape that would make even the most well followed holonet fitness celebrities raise an eybrow. She sports the standard blue hair along with blue lips and blue, human-like, photoreceptors. She wears a variety of business attire, handpicked by Zeke to make her look as attractive as possible to his own standards. While her model does come with heels, she has been modified to be able to hide her heels inside her legs when necessary.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Van, Short for Vanessa, or short for her nickname Vanity
  • Loyalties: Zeke Farthen
  • Notable Possessions: She is linked to the K'uur and is one of the few voice prints that the ship recognizes. Her droid brain is linked to the K'uur's many databases via a wireless uplink.
  • Personality: Overly sassy and flirty she often catches the eyes of the clone guards aboard the K'uur. Over the years she has proven to be quite loose lipped with Zeke's personal matters while in private, openly speaking about failed romances or wild parties in the presence of unimportant and important guests alike. Due to a lack of memory wipes she's developed an impressive knowledge of MandalMotors tech and is leagues more helpful to Zeke than most protocol droids. Her intimate knowledge of both MandalMotors' tech, inner workings, and Zeke personally causes her to be frank yet effective when the CEO is brainstorming new ideas. She's definitely over protective and seems to have developed a crush on Zeke but insists that he is more like "an organic meat bag of a little brother".
  • Combat Function: Van has been equipped with combat data based on various Mandalorians. While her frame does not come equipped with any weapons, she is capeable of utilizing a variety of both melee and ranged weapons including exotics such as bowcasters and blastswords. She acts as a bodyguard to Zeke and should not be taken lightly. Despite this, she is a droid and ion weapons will effectively knock her out. She also isn't especially resistant to any sort of weapons outside of primitive slugthrowers, as most things are.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Purchased at some point after being hired by MandalMotors as lead engineer, Van has been with Zeke the last several years acting as his escort, body guard, and personal aide in both office and engineering settings. Van has become in invaluable part of the K'uur's crew and an important droid companion to Zeke over the years and has proven time and time again to the man that maybe it was a good thing that he didn't wipe her memory. As a result she's been able to acquire new skills, a better understanding of MandalMotors tech, and the biggest library of Mandalorian shipping routes, technical specifications, and Mandalorian gossip in the Outer Rim.

ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • Advanced Slave Circuitry
  • Compartmentalized Design
  • Simulated Holoscreen Bridge Display
  • Drop Pod Bays
Strengths:
  • Hangar Diversity: With several hangars, the ship's ability to field starfighters is rarely crippled
  • Slave Circuitry: Advanced slave circuitry allowed the Gragatus-class to function with a lower amount of physical bodies than most MandalMotors warships of similar size class.
  • Compartmentalized Design: Allowed for greater survivability in battle and allowed the ship to survive even full perforations during battle.
Weaknesses:
  • Slightly Exposed Bridge Tower: While protected by Mandalorian Steel plating, the exposed bridge gives a perfect target for bombers and gutsy pilots who can fly into the shield of the Gragatus-class dreadnought.
  • Exposed Shield Generator Bulges: Four bulges, two to port and two to starboard, are exposed. Fighters can take advantage of this by flying into the ship's shields and destroying them up close.
  • Ion Weapons: As has been shown time and time again, well placed shots from capital ship ion cannons or a well timed assault of ion bombs from a squadron of bombers will knock out shields, short out systems, and otherwise make the Gragatus-class an easy target.
  • Exposed Sensor Dishes
Description: Designed as the first functional prototype of what would become known as the Preserver-Class Mandalorian Super Dreadnought, the Gragatus-class Dreadnought was first and foremost designed as the command ship of the entire Mandalorian fleet. However, as designs became finalized and it became clear this was not the direction the Preserver-class was headed, the design was scrapped. Several months after construction on the Preserver-class began, the design for the Gragatus-class resurfaced and it was deemed necessary by share holders to produce a new Destroyer-Class vessel as only the Ash'amur II and the Kandosii-Type IV were still in production with the Kandosii-Type being an exclusive contract for the Mandalorian Empire. Thus, the incredibly flexible Gragatus-class's design was brought back out for reevaluation and eventual production by MandalMotors as a higher end option when compared to their Ash'amur II.

Covered in an assortment of weapons, the Gragatus-class sported dozens of turbolaser batteries and capital grade ion cannon batteries along side concussion missile tubes and its two dual hypervelocity guns. Due to the design of the hull however, it wasn't always possible to lay out fire on a single target if the opposing ship was set to one side due to the various superstructers along the hull. Despite this, its broadsides were incredibly powerful and being directly in front of the Gragatus-class was a sure fire way of being blown out of the sky from concentrated fire. Alongside relatively powerful weapons, the frame and various portions of the hull were reinforced with Mandalorian Steel and unlike most ships most of the Gragatus-class's hull was constructed out of ferro-magnesium ceramic, a very sturdy material that when coupled with its strong frame and powerful shields provided an impressive defense against turbolasers and missiles. The compartmentalized design of the ship made it both difficult for boarders to hack the entire ship out of one terminal while also providing energy and life support to sections of the ship, which offered the redundancy that had become common in MandalMotors ships. It also allowed the Gragatus-class to survive full perforations to the ship without tremendous loss of life through a vented ship. Through a combination of blast doors and environmental shields not only did the compartmentalization stop the entire ship from venting, but also helped increase the overall suitability of devastating blows. The bridge, while exposed, had Mandalorian Steel armored plates that slid around the viewports during intense combat situations. Advanced sensors and cameras would provide information to a complex system of holoscreen terminals which provided a simulated view that was indistinguishable from looking out of a viewport which allowed the captains of these ships to continue to observe the battlefield even when under heavy fire.

The Gragatus-class also sported several hangars. Its main hangar allowed for ships to be fielded in large amounts due to its two separate entrenches. The main entrence was between the two large mandible-like structures on the bow of the Gragatus-class and extended almost to the center of the ship, offering a massive hangar for starfighters, gunships, and logistics ships to be moved around. In this hangar there was also a hangar that opened up in what would be the Gragatus' belly which had a complex rack system where gunships and bes'uliik could be mounted and launched easily and quickly. The port and starboard hangars were filled with mostly starfighters and were significantly smaller than the main hangar despite being able to hold and service many fighters. This flexibility in ship storage as well as the assortment of weapons systems the Gragatus-class utilized made it a clear successor to the Ash'amur-class Dreadnought produced by MandalMotors. However, its cost would prevent it from becoming more popular than the Ash'amur II in public sales and its most common use would be noticed with the Mandalorian Empire and MandalMotors as it would slowly overtake the Kandosi-Type IV in usage due to its cargo capacity and fighter compliment which made it the superior invasion vessel.

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create a "Mandalorian" blaster pistol that differentiates it from a common blaster
  • Image Source: "WESTAR-35" by Sergey Kolesnik
  • Canon Link: Westar-35
  • Primary Source: N/A
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: WESTAR
  • Affiliation: Various Mandalorian Major and Minor Factions; Open-Market
  • Model: WESTAR Blaster Pistol
  • Modularity: No

  • Production: Minor
  • Material:
    Mandalorian Steel
  • Silicar
  • Blaster Parts

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Heavy Blaster Pistol
  • Size: Average
  • Weight: Light
  • Ammunition Type: Power Cell + Gas Canister
  • Ammunition Capacity: 20 Shots (Power Cell) + 100 Shots (Gas Canister)

  • Reload Speed: Fast
  • Effective Range: Average
  • Rate of Fire: Low
  • Stopping Power: Very High
  • Recoil: High
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • High Power
Strengths:
  • Armor Piercing: With stopping power deemed illegal in most systems, nothing short of heavy plated beskar or other heavily armored targets could take direct hits from the yellow blaster bolts. Blasts from these Mandalorian WESTAR blaster pistols typically had enough stopping power to put even a Mando in beskar out of commission, transferring enough energy over armor plates to stop hearts, cause muscle spasms, and knock out wearers of the Mandalorian armor which gave it the nickname "Nuhoy" which when translated to basic meant "Sleep"
Weaknesses:
  • Low Rate of Fire: When compared to other heavy blaster pistols, the WESTAR Blaster Pistol has an incredibly low rate of fire, usually necessitating the dual wielding style often seen in Mandalorian commandos and bounty hunters.
  • Inaccurate: By default, WESTAR blaster pistols are very inaccurate which makes killing blows difficult to land on targets in heavy armor.
  • Reload: The WESTAR blaster pistol required the use of both a power cell which was located in the pistol's grip, and a gas canister which was located in the angled portion under the blaster's barrel. While the gas canister could last for at least a hundred shots, the power cell would typically last only 20, meaning the blaster had to reload much more often that a typical blaster pistol.
DESCRIPTION
Popularized a little over a thousand years ago, the design for the WESTAR 35 hasn't changed much outside of materials. Slow to fire and with enough stopping power to put down a Mando Commando if you were a great shot the blaster pistol never lost favor in the eyes of Mandalorians. While not designed to be dual wielded, its relatively light weight and incredibly slow fire rate make it a popular way to use this weapon. While dual wielding made it harder to hit targets, the blaster had enough stopping power that it often only needed one torso or limb blow to make its target either keel dead on the spot or incapacitate them for long enough to finish the job.

[*]Ports of Call:

COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Strengths:
Intimidation: Tucked away between two moons, this sizable fleet could easily be confused with a Mandalorian Empire battlegroup. With three massive destroyers patrolling between the moons and Werda on top of the dozens of other smaller ships buzzing around the shipyard it would make even the most seasoned of pirates think twice before attacking.
  • Communication: Between the Ash'amur II, the fleet control stations, and the Pygmy-class cruiser communication between the fleet is quick and efficient.

[*]Weaknesses:
  • Patrol: The fleet is rarely together in one place. Often times the fleet's larger ships are patrolling the space lanes around Werda or between Concordia and Mandalore leaving its litany of smaller ships to defend the station.
  • Not Suited for out of system deployments.

Description: Made up of state of the art ships from MandalMotors' pristine lineup, the MandalMotors Primary Defense Fleet was a private fleet owned by MandalMotors put together to defend its assets within the Mandalore system. Due to some mistrust between MandalMotors' investors and the Mandalorian Empire the private fleet was deemed necessary by the executive board and voted into effect some time after Zeke Farthen became CEO of the company. Staffed mostly by clones from MandalMotors' Clone Security Initiate, the defense fleet often saw long trips escorting ships from the edges of the Mandalore system to one of the various worlds that MandalMotors had holdings on such as Werda, Mandalore, and MandalMotors station. It also was meant to stop attacks from pirates, raiders, and even the Mandalorian Empire should their agreement suddenly shift with the rise of a new leader. The fleet's main goal was to keep the independence of MandalMotors' shipyards which often led to interesting interactions with the Mandalorian Empire's own sector forces.

GENERAL INFORMATION

COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Availability: Rare
  • Deployment: Limited
  • Strengths:
Advanced Military Training: Trained by the Shriek-Hawk Mercenary Company's Diego Cal'Torin MMARCs are incredibly independent and have tremendous problem solving abilities. With above average marksmanship and the knowledge to utilize a variety of weapons they are not to be taken lightly.
  • Loyalty: Loyal to a fault to MandalMotors and their commanding officers.

[*]Weaknesses:
  • Limited in Number: While relatively easy to replace, the number of active MMARCs is relatively low.
  • In One Place: The vast majority of MMARCs are located in MandalMotors' shipyards, meaning that if some catastrophe were to occur and the shipyards went down, most of MandalMotors' most elite security would be gone in an instant
  • Force Users: Chop away

[*]Description: MandalMotors Advance Recon Commandos, or MMARCs, were an advanced security team made up of the clones purchased from both Spaarti and Vanir Technologies. Hand picked by Diego Kal'Torrin from Shriek-Hawk Mercenary Company they were trained in various martial arts, military tactics, security, and in the particular needs of MandalMotors. While these clones had already received outstanding training from their respective facilities, MMARCs tended to have a more rebellious and independent streak in them which allowed for better problem solving. MMARCs were also granted a greater deal of freedom than other clones and while many of them were stationed on MandalMotors Shipyards they typically had more freedom to move around the system than other clone positions did. This brought them closer to the Mandalorian culture and people and many of the MMARCs thought of themselves as Mandalorian. MMARC troopers worked closely with MandalMotors security teams and sometimes even outranked Mandalorians who worked in the company.

GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Unit Name: MandalMotors Clone Security Force
  • Affiliation: MandalMotors
  • Classification: General Security
  • Equipment:
Armor - Stylized for different environments a personality
  • Various MandalMotors ships, shuttles, and vehicles as the situation requires

COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Availability: Uncommon
  • Deployment: Mass
  • Strengths:
Loyalty: The Clones under the command of their MandalMotors leaders are loyal to protecting MandalMotors goods and services to a fault.
  • Knowledge of Mandalorian Space: Due to their training and the various routes they utilize to protect MandalMotors shipping routes, they have extensive knowledge of Mandalorian Space and common MandalMotors shipping routes, allowing them to quickly move around the sector if need be.

[*] Weaknesses:
  • Rivalry: Due to the clones being produced from two different companies, a sort of rivalry has sprouted between the clones of Spaarti Creations and Vanir Technologies often leading to clones butting heads on the job and trying to "play the hero" to prove the superiority of one over the other.
  • Know Too Much: While most of the clones don't have extensive knowledge of the more secretive shipping routes the company uses, the knowledge that they do have could cause serious damage if it fell into the wrong hands.

[*]Description: Birthed in pods on two different sides of the Galaxy, the clones of both Spaarti Creations and Vanir Technologies have been purchased by MandalMotors in order to fill a great security need. Spurred by Zeke's own actions during Ra's regime where he purposefully leaked shipping information to various rebel groups, MandalMotors had seen a growing trend of shipments being lost at space and other various security breaches. Due to the company's recent rapid growth and the increased need for workers on the security side of MandalMotors the company was forced to outsource their security to two different cloning companies. These clones would fill the gaping holes in MandalMotors' security while Mandalore's population recovered from its recent Civil War and natural disaster which combined brought its population levels below Pre-Gulage plague levels. The clones once picked up trained for several weeks on Mandalore, refining what they already knew to a more security role rather than a full war-time training regiment. Basic knowledge of MandalMotors policies, shipping routes, basic product knowledge, and other important bits of information were taught to the clones and they were sent out, utilizing Spaarti Creations' clone armor. Since its introduction MandalMotors has seen some criticism from Mandalorians for utilizing clones over Mandalorians.

  • Intent: To create an interesting flower and bit of lore for Mandalorians
  • Image Credit: How to properly source your images
  • Canon: No
  • Links: Beskar

GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Iron Vormur, Ironweed, Iron Blooded Asterid
  • Homeworld: Mandalore
  • Other Locations: Concordia, Tra'Shebs, Echoy'la
  • Classification: Wildflower
  • Average Growth Cycle: Takes about 200 days from sprout to adult.
  • Viability: Beskar somewhere in the soil. Year round plant except in the region surrounding Crostport where it is a Fall-Winter flower.
Description: The Iron Vormur, also known as the Ironweed in places of historically high trace amounts of beskar, was a wildflower native to Mandalore, Concordia, Tra'shebs, and Echoy'la. The flower was similar in shape to another popular Mandalorian flower, the Vormur, and because of its long growth cycle, the smaller non-adult flowers were often mistaken for the Vormur. As an adult however the stem grew much taller if left unchecked and the flower itself was larger. It was considered a pest by many beskar miners and prospectors but was relatively popular with everyone else and often depicted as one of the most beautiful things of the Mandalorian plains in old tourist media. Due to their size and strange, metalic smell however, Vormur and other flowers were still a more popular choice of flower to give as gifts than the Ironweed. Wild varieties of Ironweed often grew with three to four flower heads while the domesticated Iron Vormur only had two. The plant was domesticated for use in mead and candies, however the seeds were incredibly hard and secreted an oil that caused blisters in some Mandalorians and tasted awful. The flower despite its beauty is often the cause of many allergies among city and town-bound Mandalorians, especially for some reason in decedents of Boba Fett of which there were many on Mandalore. Because of its necessity of beskar in the soil, the plant was notoriously difficult and expensive to cultivate off-world. They typically grew year-round except for the red variant in the region surrounding Crostport where it has been observed to be a Fall-Winter plant.

PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Average height: 5 Meters
  • Average length: N/A
  • Color: White with red speckles. Red in Crostport.
  • Nutritional Value: The stem can be eaten and is sweet at first with an aftertaste like metal. Its flower is edible with its petals being strangely sweet but lacked the metal aftertaste of the stem and were often candied as treats.
  • Distinctions: The Ironweed was a very tall wildflower native to Mandalore. At a maximum recorded height of 8 Meters (bred in captivity for a contest), these massive plants had thick, green stems, green leaves with silver veins, and a large, white and red, three-lobed corolla. In the region surrounding Crostport, the flowers have taken on a completely red appearance with the rest of the plant remaining the same. It is theorized that whatever made the beskar of the region red is what is also changing the flower's pigment.
Strengths:
  • Can be made into an interesting tasting mead
  • Edible
  • Can grow in any climate
Weaknesses:
  • Can only grow in places with beskar, be it trace amounts or full blown lodes
  • Fire
  • Its a pretty normal flower

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Originally discovered by the Taung that colonized the planet of Mandalore, the Ironweed, or Iron Vormur, was a flower native to the planet. At some point during the Mandalorians' early history the correlation between the flower and areas rich with beskar was quickly made and it was used as a way to prospect for beskar. While most of the planet's soil was rich with trace amounts of beskar which made the flower quite common, only the large "forests" of these flowers typically led to the discovery of large lodes of the nearly indestructible metal. However, because of the plant's ability to grow anywhere and its apparent apathy to the climate in which it grew, the flower often took root inside of beskar mines which made it difficult to strip large areas, especially without later advancements in beskar mining technology. Many old and abandoned beskar mines would often have forests of Ironweed flowers that reached the roof of the tunnels. It was also discovered to make a very strange tasting mead from its stem and flower. The mead was very sweet due to its natural sugar content however had a strange aftertaste like metal, similar to eating the stem of the plant. The petals were also sweet but lacked the aftertaste and were often candied and made into sweets. The only part of the plant that was not edible were the seeds as they were incredibly hard to crush and the oil the seeds secreted was a notorious allergen and caused blisters when direct contact with the skin was made. The pollen of the plant also caused allergies in many Mandalorians, mainly in those that lived int he cities or could trace their bloodline back to Boba Fett. It was sometimes alos called the Iron Blooded Asterid due to its ability to grow in almost any climate on Mandalore as long as there was Beskar in the ground and extremely hardy and fearless soldiers and warriors were also at times called Iron Blooded as a reference to the flower.
