Un-Common Battle Cry

(For my sanity and work schedule if people could only tag me if what I'm doing or what you're doing directly affects either of us. Or if you wish to involve me in something. Please and thank you!)

He'd been away for some time now. Pulling nothing major than an odd job here and there. Plans were being set in motion, and there was but a few weeks left before he'd have the time to put them in place. But for now he was answering the call of someone he'd left to their own devices before. It was time to erase the debt. His ship was newly acquired but there was blood enough on it for a thousand souls to fill. The Brazen Claw crew once inhabited the vessel, their blood tarnished the inside and mixed with their victims. Those that have been on the ship say that the souls aboard are haunted, Nicair didn't believe in ghosts. It wasn't the ghosts they were referring to, however..

Warfare meant many different things, sometimes it was head-on and in the trenches. Sometimes it was with subtlety and no small amount of flair. Nicair wasn't doing much of either of those things. His ship, though it had been a few weeks in his possession, was still largely considered a pirate vessel. It didn't hurt that he would occasionally use it as such when the mood, and mark, hit him just right. But for now, it seemed for all intents and purposes to be one of the many vessels acting as boarders for the Commenor blockade. He'd shown up slightly late to the party, but all the better.

It wasn't common for Thyne to be left to his own devices. Ward of the Zambranos, clone of one of their enemies, having a constant set of eyes on the boy was nothing new. More often than not, he'd have the company of doctors from the labs that created him, or that of one of the Zambrano children themselves.

Not this time, it seemed. No, this time he was left with the crew and command of this little portion of the blockade. It should've been an easy job, there just to provide an extra set of hands in the event of anything going wrong. One could say he was there more for the intimidation, both in name and saber, than actual utility. It was supposed to be easy. Things weren't supposed to go wrong.

But having his way would've been too easy, now wouldn't it? There wasn't much he could do at the current moment beyond watch the firefights, hear tales of other areas of the blockade on the comms, and perhaps more importantly, stay out of the way of the more qualified personnel. And that's exactly what he did, serve as an observer until such an event the enemy made their way to his little section of the blockade.

And if they did, he'd be ready.

Kor Vexen

Aboard The Baal , Gehenna Fleet
Intercept and Deter

The blackness of space began to rush into view, the smaller vessels in Gehenna Fleet having jumped into the system first, followed by the larger Star Destroyers and finally the flagship Baal, positioned amidst the protective flotilla. Several squadrons of SI-TIE Fighters and SI-TIE Interceptors flying out from the hangars of the carriers to begin patrolling the space around the fleet. General Vexen and his naval counterpart Vice Admiral Jaisal Koruuna stood side by side as they observed the void of space and the few ships that were scattered off in the distance, some friendly. The Vice Admiral would turn to Vexen as he began to stroke his facial hair before speaking, " It appears we have come out all this way for nothing General. Friendly forces have already intercepted the supposed contacts. Shall we send reinforcements? " Vexen would raise a hand to cut the Vice Admiral off. " Do not be so hasty in your assessment of the situation Vice Admiral. "

A message would arrive from one of the Flauros as a holographic image of the ship's captain came into view, " Vice Admiral, sensors have detected two signatures approaching the AO; one of them is massive sir! " The Vice Admiral would click his tongue as he gave a spry glance at the General before muttering under his breath, " Indeed General..." He would redirect his gaze back to the captain before speaking, " Cast the net and pull them out of hyperspace before they can reach their destination. Full power to the gravity well generators. " The Vice Admiral would contact the rest of the fleet to move into formation and prepare to intercept contacts.

True to the design of the Interdictors within the Gehenna Fleet it would not be long before the detected vessels would come into range only to be abruptly yanked out of hyperspace and bring the sight of the entire Gehenna fleet into view before them. Turbolasers would turn towards the largest vessel as several more squadrons of fighters were deployed. The Baal would attempt to hail the larger vessel with a simple message, " This is Jaisal Koruuna, Captain of the Baal, flagship to the Gehenna Fleet of the Sith Empire; You have entered restricted space with armed vessels. Power down your engines and weapons. This is your one and only warning. "

Angry chimes lit up the foreign console, symbols displayed in a strange script - definitely not galactic basic. The pilot at the controls huffed in frustration, smashing her fist against the thin display. "Why won't you work dammit!" With a sigh, the violet hued woman leaned back in the seat before reaching up and manipulating a few more controls. It was as she feared - at least, it seemed to be. The Sith had been blockading the major lanes near alleged Commenori space. Arianne now knew that to be true, she couldn't get her hyperdrive to engage due to a plethora of mass signatures. It looked like she'd have to go the long way around.

Swinging herself back up to the controls, the Zeltron strapped herself in before reengaging her engines - if she could tap into some of the lesser known smuggling routes, she might not have to go all the way around. That besides, she was pretty sure her intelligence was good, and that meant she'd run into interdiction at some point. While she wasn't on any particular schedule, she hated how long it took to get from point A to point B, even in The Shadow Blade.

Shia reached up to pet the forward shock-rod array of Old One Eye as if the droid were a dog, quieting the rumbles of impatience.

"Soon."

She said, settling back into her comfortable position against the supline droid's armoured flank.

She wasn't here because she hated Sith, or because the Empire and the CSA were allies. She was here because the CSA could pay well enough to afford her and the Stryx and... and because she felt it was the right thing to do.

Keira hadn't spoken a word since boarding the transport, remaining a stoic and silent figure encased in beskar. She'd already been over her gear, ensuring that every piece of equipment was in its rightful place. The job was a follow-up to the initial offer she'd made to the Queen of Commenor, in that she was willing to stand with them against the Sith in whatever manner that took on in the coming days and weeks. Eventually it had come to mean violent retaliation, though not on the part of the Commenori. Instead, mercenaries such as herself had been hired to sit aboard decoy vessels and deal with attempted boardings by whatever means they saw fit. It just so happened that in her case, that meant no survivors.

The readings that scrolled across her HUD indicated that they were yet to be approached by any that could be construed as the enemy, and so the waiting continued. As much as fighting aboard ships was constricting and limited her options, it was also what she was being paid to do, and it was a lot better than just sitting around. Her T-visor didn't move an inch as she utilized the three-hundred-sixty-degree vision to observe those around her, a few of them more visibly restless, another two or three throwing glances her way. It was the armor, she knew; she'd never gotten used to the attention her new kit brought.

It was something that would draw the eyes of the Sith too, when they decided to show up.

One of the Dark Troopers would yell at [member="The Amalgam"]. "What the hell did you start?" He would continue to fire at the other Commenori mercenaries, doing his best to take cover behind the doors of the dropship when they suppressed his fire. An Oppressor-15 was already showcasing chest damage, its left arm having been disabled by a precise shot, though it still managed to hold the blaster cannon in its other arm well enough. The advance, if one could even call it that, was going poorly to say the least.

On board Xesh 1, the Force-Sensitives feeling as sick as they did was certainly a trigger. Security teams would begin to sweep the ship for [member="Rex Taff"]. "This is Xesh 1. We're experiencing some kind of... chaos. All our acolytes and other Force-Sensitives on board are under some sort of crippling condition. We've begun instigating quarantine measures until we can figure out what's going on. In the event that something happens to us, destroy our ship immediately. We've already had one security team disappear, so something is certainly not right. We'll keep in touch with a transmission every minute in order to let you know we're alright."

In the meantime, all ships were moving to surround the transports and prevent them from escaping the area. Other boarding shuttles were launched with Dark Troopers and Stormtroopers aboard to get onto some of the other transports - they had shoot to kill orders given the circumstances. The net was closing ever tighter.

Now it was time to see how tight it would truly get.

LOCATION: COMMENOR SPACE, ABOARD THE GALAVANT
EQUIPMENT: IN BIO
ENEMIES: SITH FORCES, [member="Thyne"]
CURRENT MOOD: TENSE

The Galavant was certainly nothing special to look at.

The ship was a simple bulk freighter, with no obvious weapons, and moderate shields. The ship was packed with trade goods from the planet's surface, mostly raw material taken from the mines, and rations from the farms. Sith scanners would detect as much, as well as exactly two life signs aboard the whole ship.

It would be expensive to destroy, and lucrative to capture. The perfect bait for any Sith patrol wanting to take a crack at it.

The Shark knew a thing or two about bait.

Ghorua stood in the cockpit, armor gleaming dangerously by console-light. He stared out into the empty black canvas of space, noting how full it was. A full blockade around the planet. Ghorua wasn't entirely sure what his old friend [member="Lady Kay"] had done to deserve [member="Darth Carnifex"]'s wraith, but he didn't much care. Any reason to be a thorn in that despot family's side was it's own reward. Of course, the pay didn't hurt.

A blue tinted Gungan sat at the console, pressing buttons with measured confidence. Nibal Han was Ghorua's newest protege, a talented young man with a bright future. Ghorua clapped him on the shoulder as the Gungan stared straight ahead, looking at the ships in awe.

"Don't worry. We'll be fine." Ghorua let his signature gusto wash over the newer hunter, trying to impart some confidence. "This won't be the first time I've tangoed with the Sith."

Nibal Han hummed quietly, a deep sound in his throat. The Gungan contained his fear well, to his credit.

"We'll be fine," the Shark reaffirmed, looking out over the tangled web of ships. Despite his confident dialogue, a flicker of uncertainty danced across his eyes before he put on his helmet.

Maybe if I say it enough, I'll believe it.

He pushed the communication channel on his ship. It was sinked up to one [member="Keira Verd"], guarding one of the decoys. The two had fought together what seemed like a lifetime ago, an occasional adventure here and there. He shared her sentiment of not enjoying space combat all that much. Save boarding actions, however. Those.. those he enjoyed.

"Oya vod. Care to meet in the middle?"

Due to the nature of his little disguise he couldn't directly board Commenor's foes in this instance, but he could aid the ships that did. He grinned to himself, a grin that hadn't been there for some time. His heart was beating and his breath was even. He was right where he was supposed to be.

Kay-Larr

Sphaera Tea Company Owner
Kay took in a deep breath and let it out slowly. The gravity wells were securing them in place. So in a sense, they were trapped. Did the Sith know that she was there? More than likely they would consider her a fool for doing so. Just as she figured that they would consider her attempt at thwarting their efforts here to be foolish. But there was a method to her madness, as some would say. She wasn't so much reacting as she was executing a strategy. Large egos were very easily toyed with. Although she wasn't expecting the blockade forces to be this massive, it certainly gave her a better understanding and intelligence on what their forces were made of.

She eyed the bridge crew; in particular the Captain and bowed her head. "I'll be back soon." Kay brought up her wrist and activated her personal cloaking device, causing her to disappear from view. There were no guards coming with her. That would spoil the surprise. Quietly she left the bridge and moved through the corridor. There were no sign of Sith troopers yet, although the sounds of blaster fire could be faintly heard coming from somewhere down below. She couldn't take a lift down to the hanger as that could give herself away. One of the transport's crewman gave her the codes to the ventilation shafts, plus the directions that would lead her to the hanger. So as soon as she came upon the nearest one, she gained access and slipped inside.

It took a little while to navigate the ladders and crawlspaces, and she was quite glad that her armour was light instead of clunky. That made her trip a little easier. Having her Force signature shrunken down helped as well, not to mention her cloaking device.

Before long Kay had made it to the hanger. She could see what was happening through the opened slits in the vent. There was a fight going on. Many lay dead and lightsabers drew her attention. Now she just needed to wait it out. More than likely they would take the fight elsewhere on the ship and she could enact the next part of her plan.

Lady Kays Vessel,

Hangar

Her eyes flicked left and right, assessing her new comrades. Two Jedish folks. One with Saber staff and the other a single wielder. That was good enough for her. Words were exchanged, she just kept her gaze leveled head tilted down on the Amalgam. She ignored the rest of it. The smell of burnt flesh, the bodies tat littered the decks, the blood that painted the dingy rusty bulkheads.

She breathed deep again, feeling the darkness of the Amalgam push in from all sides. A memory of her swimming at the beach kept her centered. Remembering the smell of salt and the feel of warm mud beneath her toes...
"Mmph."

She shuffled forwards once, closing the gap, guard still up.

"Since it seems there's no peace to be had here, let's get on with it. I relish a good duel."

Suddenly there was a great jolt, shaking the ship. Both the Neutralizer and the STeadfast were pulled out of hyperspace, short of their destination. "What happened," Bermann asked urgently and loudly. "We've been pulled out of hyperspace, sir! It's a gravity well, but we're here," the navigations officer spoke up. Before Bermann said another word, he looked over to the Tactical Battle Table and saw the locations of every ship and fight. The Battle Analysis Computer was aggressively scanning everything, grabbing what they could before being jammed. He saw the transports, the fleets... but then, that same tick in his head.... There was a paused silence from Bermann as the crew tried to speak up. Bermann turned his head with his eyes closed as he felt the disturbance, just as before. But then he snapped out of it, and looked at one ship. "Full power to the engines," Bermann ordered, turning around and going to the center of the bridge. "Get the Steadfast ahead of us, target the lead ship, there," he pointed at the Baal, "launch all the fighters and bombers." "But sir, we can't launch them all, we have minimal crew as it is.... how many do you want to launch," the tactical officer blurted out. "Send everything we can," Bermann then turned around, facing the exit to the bridge. "Fighters, protect the bombers. Bombers, hit that lead ship as much as possible, I don't care about other targets; take down their starboard shields," he continued, walking to the exit, "tell the steadfast to support the bombers; take out their starboard shields." Bermann stopped at the door as it opened, Fellar speaking up, "and of the Neutralizer, Admiral?" Bermann turned his head to the side, "fire everything on those boarding shuttles ( [member="Vanessa Vantai"], [member="The Amalgam"] ) around the Queens transports, and don't pay prejudice to the small ships circling it. Fire on all of them. No survivors." The weapons of the Neutralizer were limited and few, but they were dreadnought-classed weapons. The boarding shuttles wouldn't like them, but the Neutralizer wouldn't be a match for when the shuttles home fleet counter-attacked. But Fellar wasn't told to retreat.

Bermann went no where except straight for the hangar, and made no stops. By now, the fighters and bombers were already launched. It would take a moment for the Steadfast to get into firing range, but it was still a long ranged vessel, and would be able to fire far outside the enemy ships range. By the time Bermann got to a ship, the Steadfast was firing its maximum payload on the lead ship. The Bombers were unloading every bomb they could as the fighters watched their backs and tried to screen enemy fighters while the enemy ships countermeasures started shooting them down.

Bermann launched in a JF-G Long-Range Fighter, and headed on an intercept course for the starboard side of the ship. "Once the shield is down, target the shield generators if you can. Launch the boarding parties, we're going in," Bermann ordered from his ship. While the Steadfast and Bombers were firing on the Baal, the Neutralizer was firing on [member="Vanessa Vantai"]'s shuttles. After Bermann launched, more ships emerged from the Neutralizer as it was turning to face the other fleet. Bermann wasn't holding back, he was going straight for this ship. He didn't know why, but there was something on that ship that pulled him. He couldn't risk the fleet going after [member="Lady Kay"] and she was already engaged with another. Perhaps the resistance on the transports could hold them off. But there was something about this ship that.... threatened him. He couldn't let them go.

A couple boarding shuttles latched onto the Baal and started to breach their way in. Not very many, just a couple bombers out of their ammunition. Not a lot of restocking was made before they left. They were wearing GES V1 suits. Not much for a lot of combat, but they weren't the primary soldiers. Weapons fire stirred up inside of the ship on the starboard side, but it was about to get worse.

Tin gave a mocking like hand motion as the Sith babbled on, a sort of hand puppet opening and closing it's mouth with the woman as she talked down to them. "Oh by the force don't you Sith say anything new, if we Jedi like people are not charging into combat and trying to kill you right away you call us weak and say that we let people die and that all Jedi are evil". "If we do attack first or try to defend yourself before you have a chance to slice through 50 people we are the aggressors and murders and blah blah blah all Jedi are evil while you kill children and what not".

"Then you rave on about how the light side is weak, that we limit our power and can never hope to beat you in combat, that darkness will always win and all that crap". "Call us traitors and deviants because the Sith Empire is incapable of recognizing governments that don't bend their asses over to be rammed by 70 star destroyers". "Then we fight and the moment you start losing it's scorched earth with your commanders throwing thousands of lives away to make sure they get away scot free while your fellow Sith use some underhanded and cowardly tactic to get come out on top".

A small sigh escape the Twi'leks mouth as she finally rounded off her speech, "after which to declare victory, sweep your failures under the rug, say that anything bad that happens was our falt... rinse and repeat. She gave a slightly bored expression at the whole event, what should be a kind of exciting moment was just killed by the usual Sith rambling she had heard to many times, and frankly was sick of it. "If you want to lose that blade I would no mind having a literal swing at it, unless someone else wanted to take you on, or will it be the classic, 'I am able to defeat all of you single handed' which will result in a fight where your running away half the time".

Aboard The Baal , Gehenna Fleet
Intercept and Deter

Vexen stared at the large vessel from the bridge, a lengthy silence having followed the Vice Admiral's warning to stand down. The Sith General had long since known that this was likely a situation that would go down a singular path and it would not be a quiet or peaceful one. Vexen uncrossed his arms as he began to walk, leaving the bridge behind to leave what was to follow in the hands of the Vice Admiral. An eerie and vocoded chuckle was barely audible coming from the Sith General; perhaps amused by the boldness of the foe he was about to face.

As Vexen began to walk through the corridors of The Baal the alarms would begin to sound and klaxons blared to life. There would be a few thuds heard along the hull as fighters and bombers had launched from the enemy ships. Gehenna Fleet's own fighters and bombers would begin to pour out of the hangars to engage the enemy in combat. An announcement was heard over the comms, "All hands to battle stations, this is not a drill, I repeat, this is not a drill." Pilots and soldiers would begin to run through the corridors of the ship as the Vice Admiral had ordered The Gusion, Agares, and Astaroth to move into position to cover the friendly ships being fired upon and return fire.

Laser turrets and turbolasers would swivel and turn to engage the enemy fighters and the two ships, in an attempt to whittle down numbers as the shields took a beating from the bombing runs and fighters pelting their shields. The Baal would rock as an explosion was heard off to the starboard side, the shields having been dropped as a number of bombs managed to get through and hit the ship directly. The Shax, Orias, and Kimaris began to pull off to the side, moving off to the side of The Neutralizer using their smaller size and faster speed to engage The Steadfast, firing away.

Several thuds echoed along the ship as boarding parties were making their way aboard The Baal, Legion troopers moving to areas to reinforce and prepare to repel invaders. Vexen would make his way through the hangar where troops were pushing crates into position and setting up turrets, his majestic cape flowing behind him as he seemed to be pacing back and forth. Something was coming. He could feel it. It roused a hunger in him and began to work up his appetite. He would feed well this day, and soon all will become one in his sea of memories.

Enough was enough, the pull of the Force tugged at Caedyn's mind so much that he thought 'screw it' and jumped the Starfighter out of hyperspace. Immediately everything slowed, the starlanes that had been flying by ceasing to present there stationary places blanketing the black ocean surrounding the sight of an armada of ships, some friendly but most of them foe.

R-Four squealed in alarm, a high pitched scream relayed through the intercom to Caedyn whom had the crontrols gripped so tight that had it not been for his gloves, you'd see the white of his knuckles. "I know, I know! We've got Incoming!!", a crunch sounded from somewhere behind him as the magnetic locks that kept the S-Foils closed soon released and the Fighter opened up into combat readiness thanks to the Astromech Droid, the boy already diving the nose down just in time to see flashes of green and red turbo fire passing overhead.

Caedyn's connection to the Force was impeccably timed in the moment; had he not been quick enough they'd have probably been blasted into space-dust the moment they left hyperspace. He listened to his instincts however, his mind open to the Force that sought to strengthen his precognition and guide him forward. "They saw us coming, we don't have time!" Caedyn snapped back in reply to the droid's sudden desire to get in touch with the Queen or someone from Commenor.

Already the scanners were picking up a trio of fighters on an intercept with Caedyn's Fighter, "Shields forward! Even 'em out as we pass..." he instructed the droid as Caedyn accelerated, the nose of the Fighter rising to bring the three fighters in light with his canopy. Squeezing down on both sticks, the blaster-cannons on each wing lit up the flight trajectory before him. Powerful red bolts of plasma rapidly being hurled at the incoming TIES.

He struck the first dead center, the spherical center igniting as flames and metal saw the Tie Fighter erupt into scrap, the second racing passed it just in time to clip a wing and be sent veering off in a chaotic barrel roll, sparks and flames streaming from it's side, Caedyn's gaze lifting as the third just raced overhead and he lost a visual. "Alright...Good start..." Caedyn muttered as he pulled back on the sticks, the X-Wing surging as he lifted the nose again and at the height of a loop, locked both controls and turned them sideways so that the fighter was thrown into a barrel roll, evening out behind the third target desperately trying to get on his tail.

"Got you!".

In Umbris Potestas Est
The Dark Troopers would slowly advance, starting to thin out the Commenori mercenaries in the hangar, though a few of their number had been wounded or killed by the attrition of the mercenaries. As the boarding shuttles advanced towards the other transports, all seemed well.

At least, until the Neutralizer entered the field.

At range, the larger warship's firepower would have a hard time engaging the relatively quicker and nimbler shuttles, but one or two were destroyed, some others taking moderate damage on their approaches into the transport. The loss of even a squad or two of Dark Troopers and stormtroopers would significantly impair their ability to capture the transports. Fighting would begin to break out on other ships, not just Kay's, as the push to take the convoy began.

The smaller ships remained clustered around the convoy, firing the occasional shot to keep the transports clustered together. They had no desire to destroy the transports, but none of the smaller ships possessed any sort of bomber complement fitted with ion bombs, though they would infrequently fire at the engine systems of the transports in an attempt to disable them. The Voracitos-class vessels slowly twisted their girth towards the battlecruiser before firing off a fusillade aimed at the warship's own engines. A swarm of four hundred seeker baradium missiles flew towards the battlecruiser's stern, aiming to wipe out the vessel's engine array and leave it easy pickings for the rest of the Sith fleet. A transmission would be sent to the Baal, indicating that the Neutralizer was to be captured if at all possible - the vessel would be a wealth of Commenori naval knowledge, just waiting to be dissected for information. Fighters launched from the larger ships would begin tangling with the ancient vessels sent out from the hangar bay of the battlecruiser, while a wing of Coryphin-class super-heavy bombers from the Malgus would move to strafe the transports with ion bombs, hopefully assisting in their disabling quick so they could turn their focus to the bigger fish.

The Malgus and Eradicator would launch their own boarding shuttles towards the transports in order to compensate for the losses inflicted by the Neutralizer's fire, while moving towards the battlecruiser themselves in an attempt to engage it so critical systems of the ship could be disabled, rendering it a suitable target for boarding. The bigger ships would also hopefully draw some fire away from the transports through their sheer bulk.

[member="The Amalgam"] , [member="Stardust Australis Skirae"] , [member="Jade Whisperwind"] and [member="Tin'tinag"] were still keeping themselves and others quite distracted. Although they weren't yet coming to blows, their ignited lightsabers were enough to give others pause. Kay wasn't sure of how long they would be, so she took the initiative and started the next stage of her plan.

Quietly and slowly she opened up the vent, giving herself just enough space to slide through. Her personal cloaking device was still activated, rendering her invisible. She snuck her way over to one of the crates in the hanger and opened it very very slowly, bringing out not just one thermal detonator, but two. Tucking them under her arm, she slowly closed the lid of the crate and then made her way over to the boarding vessel. It didn't take much to get to the awaiting pilot. Kay drew out her blaster and placed it's tip on the back of the pilot's neck, the cool durasteel was sure to draw his attention. She leaned forward and spoke quietly in his ear. "Open up your comms to the Sith fleet. No sudden movements or your life ends here. I have a message to relay to your superiors."

Kay waited until the pilot complied before she spoke up again, her body still cloaked. "Attention Sith fleet.
This is Lady Kay Arenais, Queen of Commenor and the Systems Alliance. This blockade is illegal, as well as an act of piracy. It undermines the negotiations that were already under way between our governments. We will not bow down to your intimidations.
Shut off your gravity wells and let us pass or you will suffer the consequences. You have ten minutes. Cut the transmission."
The pilot was good enough to follow her instructions, prompted by the blaster at his neck. Now she waited. Whatever happens she was fully prepared to enact the third stage of her plan, yet she didn't feel good about any of this. Still, she wasn't about to let her people be put under Sith rule again.

"Listen up," Bermann tried speaking over the comm, not sure if jamming systems were working or not, "there's going to be fighting - a lot of fighting - as soon as you dock. Fighters, protect the transports at all costs, we need to get on that ship! We need to deal with this fleet so it does not engage Queen Kay!" Almost immediately as the Neutralizer started firing, it started to get bombarded by hundreds of powerful missiles. Thankfully, it had great shielding. But it would only last so long as crews couldn't get to damaged sections quick enough to repair them. Because of its special shielding, it entirely resisted the first wave of missiles, but as the battle grew on, it would start to fail. Fellar tried to compensate with what he could, but he just didn't have the crew. He had to keep the guns firing, his Queen was somewhere down there. Meanwhile, in the buzz of madness that was fighters, bombers, shuttles, and transports, Bermann was searching for a good place to hit the lead ship. Hangar? No, the enemy could close the hangar bay doors, or activate a thick shielding. He located a docking hatch, and of course he had a wild idea the enemy probably didn't expect from a fighter. "I need a bomber to hit this starboard section, upper right hatch. I'm firing on it... now," Bermann ordered. His laser cannons started opening up, and surely one bomber still had some munitions left, and came in across his crosshairs, peppering the side of the hull, "see you on the inside," Bermann muttered, as he latched on a Rebreather. He didn't change his course as he watched the sealed docking hatch blow open, the airlock free for him to enter, but he wasn't just 'entering.' At full speed, he crashed into the airlock. By now the Steadfast quickly realized the ships were moving in to engage it at closer range. Unfortunately, the little ship had just enough engine power to keep out of range of the larger ships, although the Fast Frigates would be a problem. The fast little missile frigate would not be able to out run them. So it changed tactics; instead of pushing away, it pushed around. The Frigates would catch up quicker, but it would give the Steadfast more time to get another angle on the Baal, firing at its engines, now.

It took him awhile, he had to cut his way out, as the viewport wouldn't open. Once he was out, he was in the vacuum of space in the airlock. Of course, it had security measures in place, and he had to work his way into it. Eventually he cut the power to the door, while watching what people he had on the ship fighting, and dying. A few saw him and tried to help him, some falling in the process by turning their backs, but eventually... he got the door to crack. Atmosphere began to seep through the door, but he didn't need it entirely open, just enough for him to fit through. He made a hand motion to order his men away from the door as he tried to open it. The Baal would register a hull breech soon and he had to act quick, before bulkheads activated. A couple Galderrans jumped to the door, knowing this, too, risking their lives to open that door. Bermann got it opened enough and pushed himself through, just before Bulkheads nearly took his foot. Finally, he was in the fight. As the transports began to be fired upon by an enemy screening, friendly fighters immediately intercepted, but they weren't fast enough. One transport was knocked out, but it was on a full speed course with the Baal, and momentum carried it into a fiery explosion against the hull at ramming speed. The Baals armor held. Bermann pulled his Harbinger from his back and started aiming, and firing. He used it more like a standard rifle, than a sniper, and he was nailing enemy crewmen, soldiers took a little more because of their armor. But the weapon was enough to knock them off their feet.

Pretty soon, transports and shuttles were able to unload their cargo, only thankfully to the fighters protection, mostly because of the TIE HUNTERS. One transport still took damage, injuring a few of the soldiers. Galderran troops were dressed with GAR Trooper armor, and the CSA troops were dressed in Hadur-class Light Armor, but a significant smaller portion were adorned in Praetorian Guard Battle Armor - they all wielded Commenor-Series Blaster Carbines. They pushed the ships corridors harshly. Just like the Galderrans on the Neutralizer, they were stubborn and full of passion. Their military culture and society fueled this rage. Commenor people stuck to defensive measures, holding frontline positions, and the Galderrans would eventually push those lines, making the Commenor soldiers push up, and again, hold the line. Bermann was pushing to the bridge, nailing soldiers and crewmen the whole way. "You tell your lord," Bermann yelled at the top of his lungs, "you tell him I'm coming!"

The Amalgam, while unsurprised by the words of [member="Tin'tinag"], was angered by them nevertheless.

"Hey, don't knock Underhanded, lady," The Amalgam replied with a wry grin. "It collapsed The GA, after all."

The Amalgam didn't bother to respond to her other words, not because they were lies unworthy of dignifying with a response, (They were not.) but because she had not come here to talk.

And because whatever else could be said of The Amalgam, 'Coward' was not in that description.

She sprang forward spinning both her staff and manuevering it around an agile body that seemed like it was going for [member="Jade Whisperwind"] at first, only to veer of at the last second and bring a relentless series of spins and slashes aimed at catching the limbs of the yellow skinned woman and the green skinned [member="Stardust Australis Skirae"]. It wasn't that she did not wish to attack Jade, but she would not do it until she figured out, exactly, what the fighting styles of her compatriots were--an unknown factor always made battle more dangerous. There was still enough time before her attack reached that at either of them could easily dodge, parry or block. But one way or another she was learning what they could do.

[member="Tin'tinag"]'s words got under her skin though, in a way few others had in the past while. Between trying to prep and manipulate Maple Harte for glory, and trying to restore her own body of knowledge, a significant chunk of which had been lost in her 'Sleeping Death' she had not really had much of a chance to trade insults with another. She never had much use for insults. (Or debate, for that matter).

But still, golden-skinned Tin'tinag's words irritated her to no end. How is it someone whose group has a repeated history of being blindsided by treachery and never really learning from it has any business at all deriding others for successfully utilizing tactics they themselves are too weak to consider?

Why were those words bothering her so much?

She put it out of her mind to focus as her spinning blades hummed towards her Twi'lek opponents. She figured Jade would try to interfere. Let her. The Amalgam was feeling frisky today! The birds were chirping, all those commandos were killing idiots The Jedi had brought into this metal coffin, and the glorious rush of battle called to her thirst for true conflict. She decided to glory in that danger of fighting three at once. Her Niman showed in her assault, an aggressive, double bladed variant that borrowed heavily from both Ataru and Soresu in its approach. Normally she played it defensive, but against three, you had to take the fight to that three or it would not matter how good at defending you were...someone would get lucky eventually.

The Amalgam hated it when that happened.

As she attacked, the aggression of the Dark Troopers increased against other hostiles.

OOC: Sorry it took so long to post a response. I was busy the other day.

This really wasn't his place. There were plenty others far more qualified to run security, or more importantly, tend to the chaos that claimed the blockade. So he stayed out of the way, watching both the ongoings outside and within the ship itself. He could see the freighter drawing closer. That was a bit silly of the pilot, wasn't it? Being out here in the midst of battle?

One would think the trained professionals would have a better grasp on instinct. Surely, they would recognize now was not the time to be letting anyone through the blockade, nor the time to try and grab some quick credits. Again, one would think that. Perhaps it was an off day for these fellows. Perhaps the promise of wealth was too tempting to those managing the hanger bay shields. Regardless of whatever reasons, the pilot of said freighter would find they had permission to land.

Thyne himself couldn't quite place why a ship was being allowed on to the blockade in the midst of all this. It didn't sit well, prompting the boy to remove himself from his little corner, to make his way towards the hangar bay.
