Trial of Ali Hadrix

Alright, I'm going to throw names into the post below for people I think would be interested in participating in this trial. I am aware that the agreement says a third party, so I am going to put some third party names down as well to see if anyone wants to help us get this done.

That all said, this isn't going to be a witch hunt. I will expect both sides to prepare IC evidence and only argue IC. If any third parties are willing to arbitrate, I will ask that they do their best to remain unbiased through the process and make a judgement based on the facts as they are presented.

[member="ali hadrix"] = You will be welcome to join the coming thread at any point you wish, though it is obviously not compulsory.
[member="draco vereen"] = I am assuming you will want to take part, though I know you are fairly inundated with threads.
[member="matthew mar'tin"] = You expressed interest in providing the defense I believe?
[member="faith balor-organa"] = I thought you might be interested, but I'm not entirely sure.
[member="ryan korr"] = You were on station, though I do not know if you desire to be part of this.
[member="coci heavenshield"] and [member="thurion heavenshield"] = You were both mentioned as possible third parties to arbitrate, though I presume nothing about if you want to participate or not.
[member="jack sparrow"] = I figured you'd at least like to watch, saucy pirate.

I may have missed people, this was not intentional. If anyone wishes to participate, reply to this thread with what part you would like to play in it and some sort of justification for the part.

I had thought you might be, but as you were also there, I wanted to offer you the chance to participate.

Any representative of [member="ember rekali"] is welcome to participate.

What would you like to participate as? My mental outline is Defense, Prosecution, and the Arbitration Council

I didn't receive a notification for this thread. I merely saw it on the listing. I fear others might have suffered the same.

But, yes. I'm interested in Defense. What's the IC and OOC situation with Hadrix? Is this Absentia?

[member="Suravi Teigra"]

That's my job. :p Will we be allowed to team up?

Ali Hadrix participated in the defense of Roche. At the time she was the Supreme Commander for the Galactic Republic. She was also signed up as a PvP, though that is purely OOC info.

ICly, she took it upon herself, in the person of Supreme Commander, to "negotiate" with the Mandalorians. In those negotiations she declared that the Mandalorians had no hope of winning, and that the Republic forces were better armed and trained. This led to the charge of conduct unbecoming an officer and dereliction of duty in the face of an enemy.

Then she gave an order to her hand picked commando's to secure a forward defensive line, and if any of those got over run to vent the sections to try to catch any Mandalorians sans helmet unawares. Other writers wrote about civilians in the hangars, which is where the decompression would likely come from. An NPC that Ali's writer was controlling for story purposes surmised that anyone in those hangars would either be worker clones or the enemies, and promptly vacated air. Other writers wrote about similar happenings as well. This led to the Mandalorians accusing her of war crimes.

This is what essentially turned the Invasion/Defense of Roche into the rout of Roche and the Hunt for Hadrix.

When Roche was finished, we talked about what was going to happen. In the peace talks that followed, the Mandalorians stated that they would have no peace if Ali was not tried. They preferred a trial led by yourself and/or your wife, Coci. This is amenable to the Republic as well.

It will likely be in absentia unless Ali agrees to come forward. The ball is in her court at this point, and I would be happy with it either way.

Ah, but you didn't stick around, then. The last stance she had settled on (that I was present for) was that she was fine with an organic trial with any outcome. I don't know what her current stance is, though.
