After his dishonorable discharge from the New Imperial Order , Marlon Sularen was able to acquire a bunch of New Imperial Military Equipment including many Starfighters such as the TIE/VX Vanguard. Despite having discontinued their usage by the time of his entry into the Final Dawn , Sularen kept these fighters in store hoping to one day use them once more. That time came after the First Battle of Csilla when the majority of the Final Dawn Armada was nearly annihilated by an Allied Coalition comprised of the numerous Nations in the Galaxy opposed to the Sith. Given his position of Grand Overseer , Sularen was tasked in overseeing the revitalization of the Final Dawn's Military which officially began with the Modernization of the Exegol Shipyards.
As part of this Project to Revitalize the Final Dawn's Military , Sularen began works on a Next-Generation of TIE Fighters starting by creating a Successorto the TIE/VX Vanguard in the form of the TIE/o Omicron Prototype v1 , a Prototype Elite Starfighter which Sularen intended to utilize as his Personal Starfighter and as a test-bed for potential future Starfighters. Equipped with more Weapons and Stronger Shielding along with more a larger compliment of Advanced Systems then the TIE/VX Vanguard , the TIE/o Omicron Prototype v1 is meant to represent the coming of a new Generation of Elite Final DawnTIEs superior to their Alliance Counterparts to ensure the Final Dawn's continued Supremacy in Starfighter Combat.
