IMPERIAL CONFEDERATION
KOLENE,
CORE WORLDS
TimHzFP.png

Kolene. The Hope of the Socorro Belt. Once a small mining town on Corellia proper that was once flung into space when the planet collided with an extra-galactic body known as Lashtu. In the aftermath the large asteroid that contained the original town was resettled by Corellian refugees and survivors soon becoming the Core of a new community of Corellians known as the "Belters" that settled in the Socorro Belt, an asteroid field created by the leftovers of the original collision. As time passed by, the Belters organized themselves into new organizations namely the political party known as the Children of the Belt and the terrorist group known as the Forgotten Sons, the latter of which grew in prominence after they spearheaded a failed uprising on Kolene itself over five decades ago.

In the aftermath of the revolt on Kolene, blame was attributed to a young Marlon Sularen who had sought to set up a new mining operation on the region. This would eventually lead to his exile from Corellia and trigger his subsequent rivalry with the Diktats of the Corellian Confederation which culminated in events such as his removal from power during an illegal Corellian Blockade against Byss and his capture at the hands of Corellian-sponsored Jedi at the Battle of Coruscant.

While the Belt had moved on, the Forgotten Sons would hold on to their nonsensical grudge and shortly after his initial imprisonment at the hands of the Confederation, Sularen was kidnapped by the terrorist group who planned to execute him on Kolene as punishment for the failed uprising they had started decades ago. While Sularen would eventually break free from the hands of both the Corellian Confederation and the Forgotten Sons he would never forget nor forgive them for their actions especially given the injustices he had already suffered at the hands of Corellia.

Now only a year after his capture at Coruscant and subsequent imprisonment by the Corellians and the Forgotten Sons, Sularen had set his sights on the Corellian System leveraging his status as the Supreme Commander of the Imperial Confederation's Armed Forces to not only exact revenge on the Belters and their Corellian Cousins but ensure that he would never have to go through their bullshit ever again. At long last the defiance of Corellia would end once and for all.

Recommended Characters : Fleeters & Pilots

Spearheaded by a trio of Imperial Escort Carriers, an Imperial task force descends upon the Socorro Belt in full force with the objective of ensuring that the overall mission can move forward uncontested. Opposing them are the local defense fleet cobbled up by the Belters comprised of a few leftover Corvettes and Light Cruisers once apart of the Corellian Defense Force. In the face of such a large and superior foe, the Belters have concentrated their naval forces near Kolene in an attempt to stall the Imperial assault long enough to allow their people to escape the vengeful grasp of the Confederation.

To the brave naval commanders and pilots of the Imperial Confederation. Use whatever means at your disposal to ensure that the Belters defenses are broken as this battle may as well determine the outcome of the operation.

[OOC Note : Due to the nature of the Asteroid Field, it is highly recommended that you bring ships that aren't bigger then a Frigate (500 meters length/width/height max)]

Recommended Characters: Imperial Special Forces & Imperator Corps

As the Imperial Navy and Titan Squadron engage with local security forces across the Belt, a large contingent of Imperial forces are unleashed upon the Corellian mining colony of Kolene with the objective of capturing the leaders of the Children of the Belt. Almost immediately upon making landfall within the colony however they quickly encounter opposition from local Belter militias and ex-Corellian Defense Force units who have attempted to mount a defense against the Confederation's assault.

In order to ensure that their targets cannot escape Imperial forces have been instructed to seize the Spaceport, the local Shipyards and the Guardian Outpost to deny the ringleaders of the Children of the Belt any possible means of escape. Remember, their capture is of the highest priority for the Confederation and the primary focus of the operation and as such all force have been authorized to use whatever means necessary to accomplish their goal.

[OOC Note : the Mining Colony is located within a habitation sphere so you can freely use Walkers and won't need any Zero-G Armor.]

As the Imperial fleet translated out of hyperspace into the Corellian system, Titan Squadron stirred into activity. Riding the turbolift down to the hangar bay, Priesse glanced at her military-issue datapad to review the key points of the briefing before stowing it in the front leg pocket of her flight suit. The mission itself seemed relatively straightforward. However, she was more concerned about the battlespace itself, which was an asteroid field. As soon as she flew out of the hangar, she would plunge straight into the Belt. She had ascertained from the simulator that it was a labyrinth of tumbling rock and shifting shadows, ripe for ambushes, mine fields, or worse.

Fortunately, the TIE Sprite was a small fighter. And Priesse knew that she had the skills needed to fly within the tight confines of an asteroid field. After all, it would not be too different from threading her N-1 through the smuggling corridors in the Vertical Crucible on Mon Gazza. In that regard, she had failed to win that race or even make the podium. However, she managed to finish it without crashing. Only after the sting of disappointment had faded did she realize it for the accomplishment that it was, however small it seemed.

The turbolift eased to a halt then, and Priesse stepped out into the clamor of the hangar bay, which immediately washed over her senses. The shout of a nearby flight leader caused her pointed ears to twitch, followed by the annoyed chirping of an astromech which drew a raised eyebrow. The howling of an engine being tested and the pungent smell of fuel caused her eyes to light up with excitement. All the while, she slipped through the hustle and bustle of technicians, droids, pilots, and repulsor sleds with ease, her foresight parting the chaos like water through stone. From there, she climbed the ladder to her fighter, before sliding down into the familiar embrace of its cockpit.

Her Sprite was already prepared. Priesse cycled the power and completed her pre-flight checks in only a few moments. Then, she took a small breath, steadying herself as her fingers idly traced the curve of her halo-shaped cranial horn.

She started the engines and opened the comm.

“This is Titan Ten, reporting all systems green! Requesting clearance for takeoff!”

Objective II : Decapitation Strike

IMPERIAL CONFEDERATION

KOLENE, CORE WORLDS
TimHzFP.png

Corellia. A world that brought back memories for Torson and they weren't good ones. He was but a young child when he was separated from his father during the illegal blockade against Byss launched by Corellia and Duros, a teenager when he learned his father had been executed by Corellian forces. Since then he had harbored a strong hatred for Corellia, who brought ruin to his home and killed his family. Even as he moved on to serve the Final Dawn, the Dark Empire and the Imperial Confederation, Torson never forgot what Corellia had done to him nor had he forgiven them.

Thus when Sularen sought to finally deliver retribution against Corellia, Torson was eager to throw himself onto the frontlines of the subsequent crisis. At long last he could finally avenge his father and make sure Corellia paid for his people's suffering. Before long as the Imperial forces launched their assault against the Socorro Belt, Torson would find himself inside the closed passenger compartment of an Imperial Assault Gunship as it made it's way towards the Mining Colony of Kolene.

With him were his usual entourage of Red Right Hand Operatives, whom served as the personal enforcers of the individual overseeing this operation, Supreme Commander Marlon Sularen. While the rest of the Confederation would move to secure the colony and apprehend the leaders of the Belt, Torson's mission was more personal then that. His task was to locate the supposed leader of the Forgotten Sons, the terrorist group whose uprising had triggered the downward spiral that led to Sularen's ostracization and the death of Torson's parents.

Soon enough, the Gunship would make landfall in the streets of Kolene amidst heavy fire with Torson and his men disembarking immediately rushing into the battlefield as they faced enemy militamen and soldiers. In time Kolene would fall and with both the Children of the Belt and the Forgotten Sons would become nothing more but a footnote in galactic history.

The hangar smelled like coolant, ozone, and nerves—Hypheer preferred it to silence.

The slender frame of her FAE/TIE Series “Pixie” Ultralight Interceptor gleamed under the harsh overhead lights, its folded wings poised like a predator ready to strike. Technicians moved around it with practiced efficiency, none daring to linger too long near her.

Hypheer leaned casually against the ladder, helmet tucked under one arm, a small calibration spanner spinning idly between her fingers. She spotted Priesse Namada approaching—Titan 10, familiar enough to tease without worry.

”Well, look who decided to show up,” Hypheer called lightly, grin tugging at her lips. ”You’ve flown with me enough to know this Pixie might try to eat me alive. Curious enough to stick around and see if I survive?”

She flipped the borrowed tool back to the crew chief behind her with a mock flourish. ”Don’t worry, I won’t crash—at least not on purpose. Maybe.”

Stepping onto the ladder, she paused halfway to glance over her shoulder, eyes sparkling with mischievous humor. ”Try to keep up, Titan 10. I’d hate to have you miss my grand entrance.”

Helmet snapped into place, visor down, and the cockpit hummed to life around her. Controls responded like an extension of her body, engines purring with anticipation. Pirate instincts didn’t vanish—they just learned to fly in formation.

”Titan 11, all systems green. Ready for launch,” Hypheer called out over the squad/hangar comm channel.

Calissova had been seconded from the Imperial Secret Service to the Red Right Hand for the mission to Kolene. From what she had learned of them prior to the beginning of the operation, they were the personal elite task force of the Supreme Commander and the Imperial Navy’s top special forces unit. To be chosen to work alongside them was both compliment and duty, which she intended to vindicate.

Fortunately, having worked alongside Joseph Torson Joseph Torson during a previous mission in the Ringo Vinda Ring-Yard, the Hapan assassin was not entirely a stranger. She was slowly becoming more comfortable with the prospect of working alongside special forces operatives. After all, her particular skill found its best fit in such company.

The passenger bay shuddered as the gunship touched down amidst heavy fire in the streets of Kolene. One of the side bay doors slid open, and Calissova raised her disruptor rifle, her gaze locking onto a pair of Forgotten Sons terrorists positioned behind the window of a hab-block. The weapon spat nonharmonic fire, unleashing a pair of teal-hued bolts of which the first reduced a terrorist gunner’s upper body to searing ash, followed immediately by the second bolt vaporizing his assistant gunner. The assassin pivoted, snapped her sights towards a blaster rifle-wielding rooftop threat, and fired again, removing a third terrorist in an instant.

“Three eliminated.” Calissova reported. Her tone registered as cold, yet carried an undercurrent of restrained bloodlust. “Left side is clear!”

Objective II : The Battle in the Belt

Alarms rang out through the Escort Carrier as Wilhelm Vonreg made his way through the hallways of the Imperial Warship and towards the hangar going through his tactical datapad as he walked. Today's mission was simple : defeat the local fleet guarding the Corellian Mining Colony of Kolene within the Socorro Belt. Just your average mission made more interesting with the fact that Titan Squadron would be engaging their enemies within a dense asteroid field, which would test their skills and abilities in such a dangerous environment.

From what intelligence could gather their opposition would be minimal, Corvettes and Light Cruisers along with Light Starfighters and Gunships, nothing they couldn't handle. With the exception of the asteroid field this was clearly one-sided battle for the Imperials and would be over within the hour.

Soon enough the Crimson Baron would arrive at the hangar where he quickly made his way towards his Mark II TIE/DT Destroyer and climbed up the ladder that gave him access to it's cockpit, opening the hatch on top of the TIE and dropping down below as he made himself comfortable within the TIEs cockpit. After making a couple of preflight checks he quickly contacted the hangar control center to confirm he was ready to deploy. "This is Titan Leader to Hangar Control, reporting all system green. Ready for launch." he stated.

"Hangar Control to Titan Squadron, you are clear for launch." the lead officer of the hangar's control center responded. "Alright Titan Squadron. Form up on me. Let's show these Belter rabble the true might of the Imperial Starfighter Corps." Vonreg stated to the other pilots of Titan Squadron before slowly levitating his TIE upwards and guiding his TIE Destroyer out of the hangars and towards Kolene ready to swoop in and lay waste to the Belter Fleet.

The hangar lights gleamed along the hull of her Raptor as Killshot approached, helmet tucked beneath her arm. The scent of fuel and heated durasteel hung thick in the air, familiar and grounding. Titan Squadron was already forming up.

She climbed the ladder without hesitation, settling into the cockpit with practiced efficiency. Systems flickered to life at her touch with a low hum, soft green indicators; both the comforting language of machinery responding to command. "Titan Seven, green." Her voice was calm over comms. Controlled. No wasted words.

Ahead of her, the Squadron Leader’s fighter began to taxi toward the hangar threshold. One by one, the Raptors followed. Killshot guided hers into position, sliding seamlessly into formation off the leader’s starboard flank. Perfect spacing. Perfect alignment.

The hangar shield shimmered as the first craft pierced through into open space. Stars swallowed them whole. She followed without hesitation. Engines flared. Formation tightened. Titan Seven was in place. And ready.

“Remember that I flew the Smuggler’s Spine on Mon Gazza.” Priesse transmitted to Hypheer over a private channel. The implication being that she would have no problem keeping up with the Rocket Queen when it came to flying through an asteroid field. Nevermind the fact that she had only managed sixth place, which she naturally neglected to mention at that particular moment.

All the while, Priesse gripped the yoke and guided her TIE out of its rack. Then, she punched the throttle, coaxing a whine from the coaxium pulse-detonation engines as her fighter crossed the threshold of the magnetic field to enter the void of space...

Although in this instance, space was less a void, and more a dense, debris-laden obstacle course. And one that was now swarming with Corellian fighters surging out from various hiding spots behind asteroids, ice masses, and ancient chunks of debris!

“Ambush! Small craft approaching from multiple vectors!” Priesse called out over comms as she pulsed the SLAM, immediately accelerating her TIE to attack velocity. As she did, a pair of Corellian Q20 light fighters zipped past her in a head-on pass. The next two that came flew straight into the shimmering cyan-hued lancets unleashed by her disruptor cannons, then simply ceased to exist in a meaningful sense as they erupted into dissipating clouds of grey mist and glittering particulates. Only the brief after-shimmer of cyan ionization traced the ghosts of their former outlines, before quickly dissipating as Priesse’s TIE raced past, leaving the atomic particulate which was virtually all that remained of them in her wake!

“Splash two!”

Hypheer smirked at Namada’s response to her tease about keeping up. The mention of completing the N1 fighter race on Mon Gazza did not necessarily mean that the halo-horned pilot would be able to keep up with Hypheer, but it was an accomplishment. In fact, Hypheer had been quite jealous that her fellow cadet was able to get leave to participate. Hypheer would have rather returned to Lantilles and race her swoop, but that Priesse had been able to do a race of any kind showed how far behind Hypheer was in the pecking order.

”When we are back at Cholganna, we’ll need to plot out a course and test those racing skills,” Hypheer replied with a chuckle. ”The instructors will want to kill us, but it will be so worth it.”

Hypheer knew it was time to cut the chatter when Titan Leader’s voice came of the squad comm channel. Baron Vonreg’s TIE Destroyer led the way out of the hangar. It was followed by others including Titan 7 and Titan 10 before Hypheer made her way out of the hangar herself. She moved to form in behind Titan Leader until Namada called out an ambush.

Hypheer was right on Titan 10’s tail, hitting the button to trigger her accelerator motor as well. An unconscious whoop of excitement exited the Mirialan’s lips before she regained composure and started tracking the enemies. As the first pair of freighters rushed past Priesse, Hypheer following in her wake peeled off and arced around to follow. The targeting computer came up and Hypheer narrowed in on the freighter on the right. When her display blinked red, Hypheer depressed the trigger on her yoke and a volley of shots lanced out from her Beam Canons.

With a direct hit on the engine of the targeted freighter, Hypheer gave a silent victorious shake of her fist. What came next caused a wide grin to form on her lips. The struck freighter drifted and collided with the other freighter causing an explosion. ”That’s two for me!” she announced over the comms as she maneuvered to rejoin the formation behind Baron Vonreg and “Killshot”.
