Strengths:

• Small Profiel: Its small size made it a difficult target for point defense sysetms and hit during dogfights.
• Fast and Maneuverable: With its powerful engines and small, aerodynamic space frame the Q20 was an excellent dogfighter in both atmosphere and space.
• Small: The Q20 was small enough to fit in the cargo compartment of most lightfreighters.

Weaknesses:

• Poor Shields/Armor: In order to attain its great speed and maneuverability sacrifices were made to the Q20's armor and shield generators.
• Small: It was a cramped vessel for larger species.

Description: Designed by the Quarth engineers at Starbound Industries, the Q20 Light Fighter was a purpose built racer and dogfighter. Meant to be sold to the masses, it was one of the smallest fighters on the market to both have a hyperdrive and a sentient pilot. Quick and agile, the fighter was often used by colonials and small defense forces. Due to the landscape of Socorro's Belt, many of the Corellian survivors that called Socorro's Belt home utilized the fighters as patrol craft to stop pirates and raiders from pursuing illegal mining operations. When the Corellian Confederation moved in to aid in the protection of Socoroo's belt the Q20 was chosen over the larger fighters to provide fighter support to he corvettes and light cruisers in the area due to the nature of flying through and paroling an asteroid field.

The fighters performed well both in space and atmosphere and were easily modified by racers and other shipwrights which made it popular among those groups. Like many fighters and vessels made for speed by Starbound Industries, the vessel came with the ability to completely shut off the emergency inertial dampners due to the Quarth being nearly immune to the G-forces felt when flying at high speeds. The vessel had a full astromech slot for pilots who wanted the extra help such a droid provided. After the Corellian Confederation moved into Socorro's Belt, the Belters who banded together to fight perceived oppression utilized their modified Q20s in fast hit and run attacks on Confederation convoys.
