  • Demonym: Thulean
  • Region: Outer Rim Territories
  • System Name: Thurra System
  • System Features:
    Thurra
Thurra is the main sequence star of the titular star system. Two planets orbit it.

[*]Sivvi
  • Sivvi is a rogue asteroid that was caught in Thule's gravitational pull, becoming the planet's only moon. The Sith established a military training facility on the moon nearly five thousand years ago, using Sivvi's natural caves and tunnels to practice zero-gravity maneuvers. It, along with the planetary shield generator complex, was restored when the Sith Empire returned to the Esstran Sector.

[*]Enenpa
  • A heavily forested planet, Enenpa is frequently outshined by its more developed neighbor Thule. Though home to no civilian settlements, the Empire has several logging encampments that harvest the thick continent-spanning woods for resources while simultaneously uprooting the earth in search for metals and gemstones.

LOCATION INFORMATION
  • Capital City:
Hurom - Hurom is the capital city of the planet Thule. Located in the center of the city was an ancient Sith Temple which continued to attract devotees for thousands of years following the Great Sith War. Much of the population spoke some dialect of the ancient Sith. It was believed that many of the buildings in Hurom were older than some other civilizations, having been built to military standards.
The Great Ziggurat of Hurom - The Sith Temple on Thule was one of many that have existed throughout the galaxy, a constant reminder of the threat of the dark side of the Force. Built during the days of the Galactic Republic, when the Sith ruled high, the temple stood as a testament to their power in the center of Hurom.

Like most Sith structures, the temples seethed in the dark side of the Force; many of those who inhabited the temple put these dark energies to good use. It was converted into the personal palace of Kaine Zambrano during his reign as Sith King of Thule but was returned to its original ecclesiastical state following the fall of the Old Sith Empire.

[*]Planetary Features:
  • Ancient Sith Ruins
  • Green Bioluminescent Moss
  • Scarred Terrain From Ancient Wars

[*]Major Locations:
  • Kessiak - Kessiak was once the capital city of Thule before it was left in smoldering ruin during the Battle of Thule between the Galactic Republic and the Separatist Alliance. The city had been rebuilt in recent times, becoming a sprawling metropolis on par with the current capital of Hurom.
  • Ch'itt'suvreco - Founded by Chiss settlers during the Republic Dark Age, Ch'itt'suvreco became the center for Chiss culture on the planet of Thule over the successive generations. Despite this, the Chiss living there gradually became disconnected from their heritage and began to adopt more Sith-inspired naming conventions and dress.
  • Nukheia'vedi - When the Sith Lords Kaine and Braxus Zambrano returned to Thule to reinstate their lordship over the planet, they brought with them a massive legion of loyal Epicanthix soldiers, bureaucrats, and other stately officials with them. Once the battle for the planet had been won, Kaine and Braxus decreed the formation of a new settlement for the Epicanthix people. This city was named Nukheia'vedi after the Epicanthix Divine Nukheia, Goddess of Justice and Vengeance. It was a stark comparison with the capital Hurom with its more traditional Epicanthix style buildings and city layout.
  • Narvas Iv Zveris - Shortly after the Sith Order's reclamation of the Stygian Caldera, the Sith Lords Darth Carnifex and Darth Prazutis returned to Thule to reestablish their dominion over the ancient Sith world. To do so they consolidated their authority into a single structure, a massive fortress that dominated the wilds of Thule with an iron fist. After ascending to the position of Sith Emperor, Carnifex gifted the fortress to Prazutis in perpetuity.
  • Sith Arts Academy - Founded over a thousand years ago, the Sith Arts Academy is a distinctly different sort of academy. Founded by the female Snivvian Sith Lord Darth Xheka during the Republic Dark Age, the academy's primary purpose was the channel the dark emotions of the Sith into various forms of art. Such expressions found a following in those who shirked away from the more physical aspects of the Force, although there were many marauders and warriors who attended the academy. Following the Sith Empire's return, the academy was reinstated.
  • Institution for Force Occult Research - Once a lesser known and underfunded scientific institution, the compound eventually became highly important to the Sith government after a portal to the Netherworld of the Force was opened up in one of its sub-basements. Now fully taken over by the Sith government, the Institution serves as a testing ground to research the maddening effects of the Nether Portal on live test subjects.
  • Energy Farms - Formerly utilized by the Confederacy of Independent Systems to harvest energy to power droid foundries and create shields, the re-built farms have now been turned to the benefit of the Sith Empire. Harnessed energy is refined and then shipped off to other nearby star systems.

[*]Force Nexus: For thousands of years the planet of Thule has been seeped in the thick miasma of the Dark Side of the Force, warping its atmosphere into an electrified storm of discontent and seething despair. Lightning, unnaturally strong, constantly strike the ground as the sky churns without visible sunlight.
  • Intent: Thule is a world heavily enriched by the Dark Side of the Force, and has been for many thousands of years. On Chaos, it's been home to several Dark Side dynasties including the Zambrano family. More recently it was the site of a story involving the opening of a new netherworld portal, which only further increased the power of the Force Nexus.
  • Strength: Strong
  • Effects: The Light Side of the Force has no sway over the land, and any practitioners of the Light find themselves significantly demoralized and weakened when present on the planet. Dark Force users, however, will find their might emboldened to new heights as the dark current of Thule courses through their veins, filling their minds with dark visions of death and destruction.

[*]Population: Moderate
  • 1,000,000,000~

[*]Demographics:
  • 91% Human / Near-Human
  • 9% Other

[*]Primary Languages:

[*]Culture: Thule was colonized by survivors of the Sith Holocaust perpetrated by the Galactic Republic in 5000 BBY, and thus the culture of the Red Sith migrated along with them. Their entire society was militarily caste based with the aristocratic Massassi class ruling over all aspects of society save for matters of religion, which was instead lorded over by the enigmatic Kissai. The Zuguruk and the average Sith citizen constitute the lower rungs of society, with non-Sith and slaves being considered the lowest of the low.

The Massassi themselves were further divided into various sub-castes entirely dependent on rank with a council of eight oligarchs, known as Consuls, ruling over the entire planetary government. These Consuls were chosen from the highest brass of the military and were often exemplary warriors with several decades of combat experience under their belt. In recent times, this council was made subservient to the ruling monarch of Thule.

Average society was excessively militaristic as well, every able-bodied man and woman was expected to serve several terms in the planetary militia and go through rigorous physical and mental training. The Code of the Sith was common knowledge to citizens, and the tenets of the Sith were taught at all levels of education to foster pro-Imperialistic ideals in the minds of the populace. Over many generations, this created a society of dedicated Imperialists that shared a common kinship with the Sith Empires of the modern age.

GOVERNMENT & ECONOMY
  • Government: Hereditary Absolute Monarchy
  • Affiliation: The Sith Empire
  • Wealth: High
The Zambrano Family has invested considerable funds into the upkeep and maintenance of Thule's settlements, and the overall defense of the planet. When the Sith Empire took over the planet those investments were only bolstered.

[*]Stability: High
  • The inhabitants of Thule descent from Pureblood Sith and Humans fleeing genocide at the hands of the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order, and have always carried themselves with a high degree of Imperial pride. The current rulers, the Zambrano Family, epitomize this collective cultural identity well and thus the people are content with their rule.

[*]Freedom & Oppression: Since the people of Thule are ruled by a dictator life is both monitored and controlled. However, the people of Thule have a long imperial history steeped from the rigid sith caste system they’ve followed for many years. They are a people willing to put strength and the needs of the planet above everything else even civil liberties. They welcome the rule of their King with deep reverence.
MILITARY & TECHNOLOGY
  • Military: Due to their roots and heavy Sith-Imperial influence the culture of Thule is excessively militaristic. Planetary life revolves around military service and glorification of war, where the fascist ideology of hero worship and hero aspiration is taken to its logical extreme. Every citizen, no matter their gender or their species, is required to serve ten years of mandatory military service for the Sith Empire.
  • Technology: Because of Thule's close ties to the Sith Emperor it has the benefit of receiving the latest and greatest in Sith-Imperial technology as they roll off the assembly line.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

The planet of Thule was discovered by survivors of the Sith Genocide perpetrated by the Galactic Republic in the year 5000 BBY (1900 ATE), who settled the arid world and continued to uphold the military traditions and culture of the Sith Empire. The Massassi warrior caste quickly established dominance over all aspects of life and appointed themselves the rulers of the Thulean people, appointing eight warrior Consuls to rule over the planet.

For centuries the planet prospered in isolation, free from the prying eyes of the Republic. There the Sith would be allowed to thrive and replenish their ranks, dominating the land and twisting it to their own needs. The skies grew dark as the Sith practiced their twisted magic that corrupted the very earth beneath their feet.

Exar Kun would later rediscover the world, bringing it back into the greater Sith fold by using it as a staging ground for his attacks on the Galactic Republic. Thule would then be host to the battle between the Jedi led by Ulic Qel-Droma and the Sith's Dark Reaper superweapon, the former claiming victory as the weapon was defeated, dismantled, and scattered across the cosmos.

Thule would again fall into obscurity after Exar Kun's defeat, but this time a Republic garrison now loomed over the predominately Imperial people. This ignominy would not stand for long, and with the aid of Darth Revan, the planet was freed from Republic occupation. Again, Thule would disappear from the galactic perspective for many centuries until the Sith again revealed their strength.

Several cycles of short prominence followed by long decades of isolation would follow the Great Galactic War before the Sith Lord Snivvian Darth Xheka arrived on the world. Here she discovered opportunity and founded the Sith Arts Academy to transform hate, anger, rage, and pain into expressions of art. The Academy would stand for many generations, lasting into the modern chaotic post-Gulag era.

Soon Skere Kaan and his Brotherhood of Darkness would find Thule, claiming it for there own and making use of its great Sith Temple as a training ground for new Sith. While fighting across the galaxy, Lord Kaan came across the Chiss in the Unknown Regions. He convinced a legion of them to follow him back to Sith space and gave them land on Thule to develop for themselves. They built a settlement on the banks of one of Thule's small oceans and named it Ch'itt'suvreco.

Thule would again return to the galactic stage during the legendary Clone Wars where Darth Tyrannus attempted to resurrect the Dark Reaper to destroy the Galactic Republic. Again the Dark Reaper was silence, this time being destroyed permanently, and Thule again disappeared from sight and from the mind.

Over time the Dorn family would rise to prominence on Thule, eventually establishing a hereditary monarchy with themselves as the Kings and Queens of Thule. This lineage would survive until the reign of Queen Karin Dorn, who was supplanted by the Zambrano Dynasty led by Kaine Zambrano. Crowning himself King Kaine I Zambrano of Thule, he began to integrate Thule into greater galactic society.

His reign would prove to be short, however, as he was driven away from Thule by the collapse of the Eighth Sith Empire and the encroachment of the Mandalorian Clans upon Sith space. He would return many years later at the head of a massive army of Imperials and Epicanthix warriors led by himself and his uncle, Braxus Zambrano, retaking the planet for the Sith. Both Kaine and Braxus would grant the Epicanthix warriors that followed them a plot of land to cultivate, and the Epicanthix city of Nukheia'vedi was founded.

Instead of reclaiming the throne for himself, Kaine handed the crown of Thule to his uncle Braxus who was forthrightly crowned King Braxus I Zambrano of Thule.
