The Wedding of the Ages(open)

Val'Ryss didn't know how to take the affection from the Empress, it was unusual for her. Val'Ryss bowed towards her Empress, "Though I would usually find pleasure in such mischief, I think tonight I'll remain as a I have always done. A ghost." She then saw Spencer approach, with cream on her face and a confused look. Val'Ryss looked at the girl and couldn't help but feel a connection, this girl reminded her of someone she knew, someone close to her she had lost so many years ago. Her appearance made Val'Ryss chuckle, but not a dark hiss, but a sincere laugh of warm joy. She looked at the bride once more, she felt she needed to explain her sad state. Pointing to the woman she spoke to her Sith sisters, "Once, long ago, I was like her," she began with a sober tone, "I was once a woman in love, who held a marriage in her heart, who had two daughters she was willing to fight entire galaxies for with an undying passion....then....then the light came, then the Jedi came and took them from me!" Val'Ryss' tone became saddened but held a furious under-tone. Her fingers gripped into tight fists. Though her rage grew, her sorrow was the only emotion that was externally expressed, another tear fell from her cheek. "Now....now I have nothing...and no one." She looked at Spencer deep into her blue eyes with her golden ones, the bags under eyes becoming blacker from the tears, "I lost my daughters and the love of my life to the light. I shall never forgive it or them." Finishing her sentence she pointed at the Jedi near them. "Sorry Spencer, I don't want a slice. Ghosts don't need to eat." She turned from her Empress and Spencer to remove herself from the party.

Suddenly a group of Echani warriors disrupted her path. "Sith are to be removed from this establishment, you are to come with us." Val'Ryss mood changed, the honest and vulnerable woman gave way to a monstrous fury. "Get moving Sith!" Val'Ryss tempered boiled and suddenly she returned her to her usual sickening Sith self. Her dark taint spat from her body and corrupted the force around her. Those force sensitive around her would soon feel that sickening dark force that bleed from her. "Hiss, hiss, hisss...so once again the minions of the Republic come to rob me." Val'Ryss rose her eyes to meet them, her voice barked suddenly with a hissing roar, one that could cut into people's hearts, "I AM NO SITH YOU WASTE OF FLESH!" She threw her arms up and the force leapt out from her finger tips and crushed the Echani guard's necks. The guards rose up, their feet leaving the floor. "I....I am Val'Ryss Zankarr, Dark Jedi of Tython...and YOU ARE DOOMED FOOLS." Val'Ryss began to squeeze on the guard's heads. The force hardened around their skulls. Like an entire animal falling on their heads the force began to crush their heads in. Their helmets began to dent and suddenely the juices that slushed about their brains spewed out of the cracks in their helmet armor, until there was no internal structure left and their brains exploded out of their skulls. Val'Ryss let go and tossed their bodies towards the other Echani guards. She raised her hands out to mimic an embrace, "Come. And let me have taste of your souls...hiss, hiss, hisssssss."

Val'Ryss's story was, to some extent, heartbreaking. Ashin pondered it as she ate the cake that Spencer had so...grudgingly shared. Not that Spencer wasn't pure sweetness and light as usual, but there was little doubt in Ashin's mind as to the fate of the remainder of the cake.

Even before it exploded on a distant table.

And then, of course, a thoroughly improbable number of Echani guards surrounded them. With a sigh, the Empress of ten thousand worlds stood and dusted off the posterior of her formal black dress.

And then, of course, Val'Ryss flipped her lid. A wide, toothy smile spread across the Dark Lord's face as the Echani died for their presumption.

"Apparently we're not welcome. I'd imagine you get a free pass, Spencer, for being half Echani. I won't force you to be in the position of defending me against your people. You're the First Apprentice to the Empress, but you're Echani. These are your family." Her gaze hardened as oncoming Echani drew their weapons. "But by doing things that would inevitably lead to violence, with you in the heart of it, they've put you in danger, and that, I cannot condone. Nobody and nothing endangers you."

A storm of purplish lightning snapped out from her at the oncoming Echani. She filled her lungs and roared, enhancing the sound with the Force until windows rattled.

"SITH! TO ARMS!"

"I'm so confused on what's going on," said A 'den as he was being pulled by Alliera. "Just a few seconds ago you told me to bring the big guns, and I was heading there and now we're leaving?"

Hanna began to calm down as Rosa helped her, She was sobbing less. Rosa seemed to know just what to do, she was wonderful. Hanna had got up and looked at Rosa. She was feeling better, and she distrusted Rach again. If it hadn't been for the calm waves, Hanna would of been seething at the man... the man that dare touch her... She had lost her feelings of trust for him, and wasn't quite so confused now.. but the calm waves let her take a breath. She hugged rosa, having recovered. "What are you doing? " Hanna knew enough to know that Rosa was using her Jedi powers. She hugged her tighter, so glad that she had rosa. " Can you have darren help kamon beat up that man?" She asked with a smile knowing that wasn't the right thing to do.. as much as she wanted it, she was much calmer... and she had her best friend here with her.

Hanna still couldn't figure out what had happened... it was all so strange, she just knew she felt better now.. which was a much better improvement... as she looked in the mirror and laughed a little, she looked ridiculous. And thne Kamon was back, she rushed to him and hugged him, only to hear chaos... break lose... She looked at the 3 jedi with her... she was terrified.

Despite the sad tale, Spencer shoved Val’s slice of cake into her mouth. The woman seemed to be bothered by all of this and Spencer tried to figure out what she meant by telling them the story. There was a lot more than meets the eye with Val’Ryss and Spencer felt oddly determined to find out the rest of the story behind the mysterious Val’Ryss. Spencer dropped the plate from her hands as she felt the surge of pain from the curse that Val’Ryss had infected her with. The woman was using her taint to infect the Echani warriors and the taint that lived inside of Spencer wanted to fight and started to surface. Spencer closed her eyes and focused her aura to suppress the curse.

Ashin’s voice cut through the strain as she looked at the woman, she was right. Spencer knew she had a free pass here; she was her Father’s child but something inside of her ached when she thought about it. She had seen her father for only a few seconds and in those seconds it was apparent he didn’t approve of her choosing of a lover. The disapproval set in as she looked at the fallen cake she felt the absence and nodded.

“Ashin, you’re my only family.”

She wanted to cry, but because of the guards rallying behind her and threatening Ashin’s life she quickly ducked behind the woman while she gathered her Sith. The force bellow made Spencer plug her ears as she whispered silently to herself. She had disappointed her father who she had just met, looking up at the Sith Empress a small smile cracked on her face.

At least she had Ashin.

Chaos

It was breaking out everywhere, between Kamon losing control of his temper. To the Sith rallying to arms, and the Echani foolishly trying to attack them. The wedding cake had exploded, and a Dark Jedi Master had nearly seduced the Vice-Chancellor. There were Mandolorians everywhere, and combat was beginning to break out everywhere. The Force was exploding with activity in the GrandMaster's field of responsibility, and Darron literally had no idea what to do. If he was attacked by the Echani, then he would finally have to sever their tenuous alliance. If he attacked the Sith, he risked open war with Ashin and this would be the spark that led to it. That was the last thing either side needed after the Omni crisis, as both the Empire and Republic were still recovering. The Mandolorians seemed to be trying to leave, and they were trying to keep their neutrality. What the feth am I to do?

Walking through the assorted chaos, Darron had zero idea what to do. So he just motioned to his astromech to offer his lightsaber hilts up, when the panel opened the Jedi took them. Darron kept them un-activated as he walked through the clustercuss that this ceremony had become. Making his way towards the Empress, Darron kept a healthy distance. "Ashin, what is the meaning of all of this?"

If he could avoid a fight, he would. After all, they had agreed upon Roche.

It was astounding how things could go from halfway decent to a total shitstorm, all in the span of a few moments. Emotions were at a all time high, and there wasn't much else to be done. The padawan learner knew this above all else As images flooded his head of his sister and Ashin, and then Kalia with Jonathan. Aston didn't do much except let out a small exhausted like sigh and then even started to laugh at the circumstances. He shook his head and then rubbed his temples slightly while taking a deep breath. Then he heard screams and yells, and more and more commotion coming from back inside the place. People were frantically leaving the area at which Aston turned and started to walk slowly towards the building and then soon took off in a dead sprint towards the plaza itself moving inside. He could see sith, everywhere, Echani warriors were burnt on the ground while even more warriors were coming trying to cart off with the sith. All the while Aston Jacobs was mainly only looking for his sister. Their connection was uncanny and he was able to see exactly where she was, Ashin stood in front of her while more Echani warriors came out of hiding. Aston was in danger and he didn't know what to do exactly, except for one thing. Aston ran down the hall, his lightsaber in his hand but still not lit. He had to be prepared, he wasn't going to act out on anyone unless he was attacked himself. Sister, what is going?! The link between them proving so useful right now.

Aston stood in between the Echani and Ashin and Spencer. "Stand down for a moment! STAND DOWN!!!" Aston shouted and demanded at the Echani, whether they would listen to him or not was something else entirely. He could see the Echani warriors try to get through and Aston stood defiant against them. He wasn't turning his back on his father, he just didn't want to see his sister get hurt. What is going on?

Darron, and Aston -- one demanding answers, one demanding peace from the Echani. Impressive initiative, in her opinion. She ceased to keep the Echani at bay with lightning. Nameless, faceless, elite mooks were standard fare the galaxy over; the Echani were no better than anyone else.

"What happened, Darron? I'll tell you what happened. Disciple showed up -- you've heard of Disciple? Capricious teleporting alchemist psychopath? -- and did something to the punchbowl as one of his sick pranks. As a result, Kamon decided to have soldiers forcibly escort everyone remotely associated with the Empire off the premises. One of my people didn't take kindly to a bunch of bladed idiots imposing their will on her, and now people are dead. I came here for a wedding, as a guest. I'm not behind this. I didn't start this -- Kamon did. But I will sure as feth finish it if Echani warriors keep hunting my people. I'll defend my own."

Chaos was something Anaya was drawn to. This wedding had chaos written all over it, if it wasn't bad enough it was the wedding of two political figures (the fact that the groom was a jedi was irrelevant) the Sith Empress was attending...as a guest and from her vantage point across the street from the venue, so was the grandmaster and his love. She sighed heavily as she threw Ashin's saber up spinning it and catching it over and over again to pass the time.

In truth though once Darron had arrived it didn't real take to long for chaos to erupt. She felt Ashin's call through the force and with a squeal of delight danced across the street, clipping Ashin's saber to her belt and igniting her own twin blades of red. The Echani guards instantly moved to stop her but she danced past them leaving the stench of burnt flesh in her path.

Deactivating her blades she called the force to her, gathering it like a giant ball in front of her before pushing it with incredible speed towards the doors ripping them from their hinges. She bounced in after them, a blur of red and black as she danced through the guards skidding to a halt in front of Ashin, the Empress saber slid from her belt and flew back towards it owner.

Igniting her sabers once more she smirked at the Echani guards, daring them to make their move. A cackle slipped from her at Darron's question, though she held back her sarcastic response.

"I understand, can we please try for peace here? You can't help a rogue element, and I can't help how Kamon reacts. You surely must realize that initiating a bloodbath isn't the way to go with this. We can surely come to a compromise, or we can all leave? There is no need for more blood, even if you acted out of defense. Lets be the bigger people and resolve this?"

It was a question Darron feared he already knew the answer to. Yet he would always try for peace, combat was a last resort. As the great Jedi Master Yoda had once said, wars not make one great. So why couldn't they give peace some semblance of a chance?

Coming up behind the Empress was none other than the Psychopath himself. Atop his jesters hat sat a pink, pointed birthday hat and in his hand was a kazoo, into which he blew and confetti came flying out.

"Come now, Empress...", he whines, "I just wanted to make the Echani Jedi make a fool of himself... is that too much to ask?" Cackling, he points a clawed finger towards the room where the refreshments had been.

The plant Kamon had dumped the punch on had mutated into an alchemical monstrosity that was just now beginning to send out tendrils for food. And by food, it clearly wanted people.

"I mean... what's a wedding without a little fun?"

Edit:

"ROGUE ELEMENT?!", the creature nearly shouted, almost tripping himself in his rage, "...yeah that sounds about right."

Spencer picked at the piece of cake she had still in her hand, she felt sorry for herself for the time being as she crouched behind Ashin. She was arguing with Darron, Spencer wondered why the Grand Master was here. She didn’t figure him and her Father were friends. Looking over she saw the tendrils searching for something. Standing, she brushed her dress of and wiped her face. Ashin was right, she was the First Apprentice and sitting her sulking her heart into a piece of cake wasn’t going to do anything.

“Peace was gone with my father threatening my date. Darron try and get the people that are still living out of here.”

Stepping out from behind Ashin she looked at the twi’lek and rolled her eyes. Of course Anaya was here, but she decided to play nice with the woman. She didn’t want to give her any satisfaction at what just happened to her. Now both sides of her family despised her, but like she had thought over before she would always pick Ashin in the end. Pulling up her skirt she revealed a band over her right thigh, her lightsaber clipped against it and she pulled it off twirling it in her fingers for a moment.

“As for that thing…what are we going to do about it?”

Pointing towards Disciple’s version of a wedding gift she cringed. Spencer had no idea what to think of it.

A green vine wrapped around one of the three Echani guards and dragged him screaming into the mouth of what looked like a giant venus fly trap. It chomped him up greedily. Mikhail gaped in shock. The plant wiggled and suddenly spoke.

"Feed me Seymour! Feed me!"

Ashin snagged the lightsabre out of the air and activated the sky-blue blade with a nod to Anaya.

"Darron, I trust your honour. I don't trust Kamon's, skulking around in White Current just to make people feel like has the upper hand, talking about testing people and failing tests -- he's a warmongering fool, and you're well rid of him. You can negotiate with me all you want, but you need to start negotiating with them. Find Kamon or Janira Fenni.

"In the meantime-" She whirled on @[member="Disciple"] and gave him the tiniest of winks. "-what I have here is a rogue element, yes. Someone who sparked all manner of insanity for the sake of his own insanity. 'Not guilty by reason of' is the phrase, I think. @[member="Val'Ryss Zankarr"], go deal with that plant. I expect samples. Either that, or take the whole thing. Whichever course you choose, deal with that plant."

"Lets just say Rach ruined our date." Alliera said, frowning as she started the ol' bird flying "We'll have to try again later, hopefully when he's not trying to fornicate with a Vice-Chancellor..." Alliera guided the Predator out of the atmosphere, and on a Hyperspace Route back home, "If it helps, we can get a hotel room and try to salvage the night..." Alliera says, with a seductive purr.

Her niece having dashed away Kalia turned around to face John. Falling face first on the bed she screamed a little into the pillow. As if she wasn't stressed enough. This just added to that if her brother found out it would be curtains for her. He would never forgive her for that. Nobody was supposed to know but more importantly nobody was supposed to see.

Turning her body to side to face her husband she sighed heavily. "That was umm..ya..We need to get locks for the doors at home," she smiled and giggled a little. The best thing to do was make light of the situation. That didn't last long as she could sense the pure and utter chaos that was in the reception hall. They ought to leave now and avoid the whole mess but she couldn't it was time to act like a responsible Jedi and try to clear things up.

She sent the Grandmaster a message via the Force in hopes of getting a better picture of what to expect when she did get there. What's going on in there? I'll be right over to help.

Leaning over she gave her husband a quick kiss before getting up off the bed. "I can sense chaos in the reception hall. I need to go see what I can do to calm the Sith. It may be safer for you to stay here." She didn't want him to get hurt in the fray.

"You guys' aren't helping the situation at all. I will help ease the situation, but I need you to trust me and to stand down. Wait outside for the time being. I'll assume full responsibility if anything else happens." Aston said quickly towards the Echani Soldiers standing before him. "Take the wounded and get them some help." With any repercussions and responsibility he was referring to his father, he wondered if he would be upset with him at all for these events. Aston made sure the Echani troops were well clear of the chaos, dragging whatever wounded there was here and taking them with those that were still well off. Such a good day that turned into complete hell on a dime. Aston moved back towards the group and stood off to the side but positioned in between both parties. As a padawan there wasn't a whole lot that he could have done. Are you okay? Aston said through the the link that he and his sister had. It might have been a stupid question to ask, but still.

Anaya clicked her tongue irritably as the soliders left. Deactivating her lightsabers she let out a sigh and moved to Spencer's side. "Well that was an anti climax." she muttered "I made a big entrance and everything." She glanced at Spencer, spotting the frosting on the her face she lent forward and licked Spencer's cheek.

Smacking her lips happily she said "You missed a bit. You could have save me some though, instead of comfort eating behind the empress."

Spencer looked at Anaya and rubbed her cheek. She had the sudden urge to punch the twi'lek in the face. She had made quite the entrance and Spencer was busy trying to get herself together before anything else happened. Looking over at her brother, she was happy he took charge. Spencer had hoped she would see her father again, but it seemed he was busy dealing with Hanna. feeling oddly replaced she looked over at Anaya.

"I did save you some, its on my face and you want it you're going to have to do your best to get the rest.."

Smirking, she shrugged and stayed where she stood. She wiped some of the frosting off her face with her index finger and put the finger in her mouth with a grin.

Rosa sighed placing her fingertips against her temples as Darron left to deal with the chaos raging in the reception hall. "I would be honoured to be your witness." she said finally looking up and the couple with sad eyes. "Why don't you get Hanna out of here? I'll help Darron out here then I'll comm you to find out where you are." Giving Hanna another hug, she placed a kiss on her cheek and then one on Kamon's, before heading after Darron.

She reached the reception room as the soldiers left and slipped her hand into Darron's as she appeared at his side, glancing up at him she offered him a small smile before looking at Ashin "So much for not being on opposite sides of a battlefield."
