Faction The Trial of the Dark Empress [Part II]

A Light Shining in Darkness
"Could've waited to do that.", Wyatt mused to nobody in particular- but he was audible in the council chambers.
Wyatt was no fool. He was over 300 years old, nearly the entire time a man of the Jedi cloth. He created the most influential Jedi Order in the galaxy, fought to secure the Galactic Alliances remergence, and helped take down the Sith Empire, Brynadul, and more. When he gathered the Covenant, he considered every personality and being within it - and he knew exactly what sort of proclivity they each had.
Julius Sedaire Julius Sedaire actions were not unpredictable. On the contrary, Wyatt had expected it - from at least one of a few within the chambers. His only bother was that they did not spend the time to truly find evidence of guilt or innocence before one of them took the unnecessary step of declaring themselves the sole judge in a tribunal meant to unify the Orders.
Morality be damned, some might say - but Wyatt had hoped for more.
Slowly, he'd stand and speak what some in the room had already understood occurred.
"Ashin has been released prior to a judgment of this council. Some may agree with that course, some may not - but the reality is we have allowed a Sith which has publicly assisted terrorist organizations currently active in the Galaxy to depart."
He frowned with such words.
He'd continue when Julius was recalled.
"We are not individual judges, jury's, or executioners in charge of galactic law on a whim. To supercede the council, to take that judgment under your own biased perspective - Master Sedaire, do you believe what you have done is right?"
"Before witness, before evidence presented, you chose to execute a judgment of your own. Do you stand by your decision? Would you yet stand upon it if the allegations, given time to present evidence, were true? That Ashin was infact colluding with the Maw, with the Sith Remnant, Eternals and Warlords?"

Jorus Q. Merrill Jorus Q. Merrill was talking and Domino was trying to pay attention, but there was a stirring in the force distracting her when suddenly it peaked again and there was a Jedi standing before them. Instantly she didn't like him. He reminded her of fire and steel, a being of conviction, and Domino wondered if he'd started down the path of madness. He reached out for the thermos and Domino saw his hand, recognized it with widening eyes as he spoke of the Force with the same words she once spoke to her students. If the Aing Tii trusted him, then maybe she could too. At least as far as his word. At least seemed to be honest with himself about the difference between justice, revenge, and politics. But he didn't seem to be interested in her, and Domino was content to hold her council an not draw the attention. And then Julius Sedaire Julius Sedaire was gone again.

"Seems to be more wide spread than I believed, used to be only Matsu and I did that sort of thing." A frown of thought crossed her face. "Don't tell anyone though, too much trouble." Domino fell silent again, thinking back on the failed Atlas Academy on Vaynai. Founded on the same principals Julius had been espousing, it'd failed to a lack of interest from both jedi and sith. There had been a war on, like always. Letting out a long sigh, she spoke again. "I hate getting old. Too much built up in the past you wake up realizing you can't change anymore, too much time wondering what'll be left after your gone." That had to be at least half of what establishing the colony was about. Not just securing a future for the people she was responsible for, who had placed their faith in her. Legacy, what would survive her passing, giving them the life she'd never had but you wanted to give the kids. Maybe give herself in some way.
