Makai Dashiell said:"No, don't think I will. Go ahead without me."
It is times like these where you begin to realise how badly people have forgotten the terror that the Imperial Stormtrooper can inspire in others merely by looking upon the visor of their dome helmet helmets and that particular, terrifying design exemplified by that certain face painted across the front. Entire star systems used to shake in fear or fury at the sight of them. Now mere civilians stared into their faces and felt nothing anymore.
That bolt of blue and the resulting stun would, perhaps, start correcting certain perspectives while serving as a timely reminder that when an Imperial threatens you they meant it.
Victport Graras said:"That being said, you've made a serious error. You assume I would simply go along with your plan regardless of the hit to my personal reputation. I'm afraid that's not going to happen. What's going to happen is that you release Makai Dashiell into my custody, so that I might at least attempt to repair the harm you've done here..."
Prystill Oasay said:"Let's get Mister Dashiell somewhere he can recover... And after that, you and I are going to have a conversation about what the words Foreign Affairs mean."
"Look at how polite you both are," Her retorted as the I.C.D Stormtroopers brought Makai on board the train and lowered his unconscious body onto one of the recently refurbished leather seats in the cabin. Opening her eyes, as she ended her standing meditation, Her raised her chin upwards to rest her crimson eyes upon Graras and Oasay as they squared off backed by the agents who had infiltrated the train before it had even got started. "But your politeness and respect isn't going to convince anyone to do what you want. This is particularly true for both myself and mister Dashiell. In that we share something in common."
While the commotion at the front of the train was nevertheless something important there were twenty-three other cabins filled with miners or other personnel who had boarded the train to go to work on this particular day. Take-off was already delayed by several minutes via the stand-off with Makai and the time couldn't wait anymore. As soon as the I.C.D brought Makai on board the conductor on the platform indicated for the train to launch and as Her looked upon Mahporieem she felt movement as the train started moving. Sarcastic jeers and shouts emanating in the nearby cabin behind Graras and Oasay joined the sycophancy of sounds as the old locomotive set course for the mountain mines nearby.
Her lowered their gaze to look upon Makai as he laid there on the couch. "I have done business with this man for over three years. He is stubborn and the type of guy who won't work with you just to spite your face. This is also particularly true now after I just had him shot. There is nothing either of you could say or do to get him back in your good graces no matter what you offered him; and why would Mahporeem offer mister Dashiell anything at all?"
Pointing her finger at Makai Her exclaimed: "I had everything arranged for this man to buy into a consortium based in the Mid-systems. But as soon as I requested for the funds to be transferred to my accounts in Corrox he ended the negotiation immediately. He doesn't want to work with Mahporeem. But I know about someone who will change his mind."
There are a range of settings found on the blaster used to stun Makai. There is naturally a lethal setting given that it is a weapon designed to kill. But in the hands of a Stormtrooper (particularly one trained to serve in a defunct security division) it can also be used to pacify. Stuns can be set and determined at an array of levels. Her didn't want Makai to be knocked out cold if it came to forcing him aboard the train. She merely wanted him to have his faculties temporarily taken away until he was forced into the cabin.
Even now, as Her stood across from Graras, Oasay and their agents, Her felt Makai beginning to stir back awake on the couch. As she looked away from Makai and back onto the Mahporieem contingent Her studied the agents who had barged their way into the cabin. She then grinned widely at Graras. "But this is more like it High Commander! When you really want something done you have to eliminate the aspect of choice! You must make your opponent realise that anything other than the complete and utter surrender to your demands will result in pain, loss and abject terror if they do not comply!"
Her slammed a fist into her palm to signify the crushing that she spoke about.
"While I have no doubts that the Instrop sector will be under Imperial control again I feel compelled to remind both of you that the Shinbone system is not under Mahporeem's domain," Her said smugly to the High Commander and Minister. "Not yet at any rate. This is a negotiation after-all. It's me verses the two of you right now. You are worrying about the wrong person when you should be worried about yourselves."
The slammed fist in Her's other palm remained there in the cup of her other hand as she studied Graras and Oasay thoughtfully. Suddenly that fist was a palm waving through the air towards the two of them and their men followed by a simple maxim:
"Sleep!"
All around the four of them were agents and Stormtroopers collapsing into the ground as a Jedi mind trick told them to do exactly what Her told them to do. They each collapsed simultaneously and fell in prone positions all around Her, Graras, Oasay and Dashiell while being rendered unconscious leaving only the former Warden Primus in the company of three people who she was quickly turning into rivals in an era where the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant was once more resurgent a thousand-years at the end of it's exile in the known Galaxy . . .
